YNWAmanc

He is of to Newcastle.

Tottenham have joined Newcastle and Swansea in the race for former Liverpool and out-of-favour Hoffenheim winger Ryan Babel, 25............ This is what it said on talksh1t3 site, I REALLY can't see him coming back, probably more chance of Harry Kewell!

Its qpr and spurs nt liverpool were do yl get yo ppls info frm

Its just spurs

Read the post it does not say we are intrested it says spurs are intrested in the FORMER liverpool player

23 Jul 2012 21:32:33
Reports are saying Ryan Babel will be coming back to England, could he be coming back to Liverpool?
No doubt we'll find out soon enough from him, on his twitter account.

I heard he was going to Aston Villa.

23 Jul 2012 20:12:46
Sly sports report that Kaka' will leave real madrid as Mourinho tell him he is not in Real plan. any chance Liverpool go for him.

r-r

I guess he will go back to italy

I hope not.

Rob

I hope so!!!

Not a fear of that happening. wake up and stop dreamin...

I really wouldn't think so. He would command high wages and is 'old' - not the nesv strategy

SuperDuperSuarez

Unlikely. Wages are the problem.

Why he hasn't done anything in 3 seasons. is past his prime and will be on astronomical wages.
derryred

I have sources close to me that tell me if kaka leaves he will return to AC Milan not liverpool.

Cop on will ya!

Behave,will you!We realy dont want,need,or could afford him.So PI** OFF with your utter rubbish!
Besides,there are far better players at Madrid we would want than him.

Over aged over priced and over payed no thanks

Haha are you liking gerrard on facebook mate lol every player goin is linked with us on there lol

Just heard from a good friend of mine (a respected journslist) from the north east, and it turns out Sunderland are considering putting in an offer near full asking price for Andy Carroll. Martin O'neil is a huge fan of the Geordie striker, and has a sizeable transfer kitty to spend. He wants to talk to AC to see if would consider joining Newcastles biggest rivals (I don't think he would) Either way it might force Mike Ashley's hand if he is really serious about wanting him back.

Raj

Hope Martin O'Neill tries to link up with Downing again. £10million and he's yours. £30million for the two!

Sunderland havent got £20 million. So it's a non starter.

Can't see a dyed in the wool Geordie like Carroll signing for Sunderland. That would be like Michael Owen signing for Man Utd - he'd never be forgiven.

word in Greece is that Mirallas hasnt been part of pre season, allegedly rehabilitating due to non existent injury and is most likely is being sold this summer
im guessing they have had offers just not sufficient (buy out clause) ones yet,
no indication as to if we are interested or not, but I hope we are

liverario

If this is true then i don't want him near our club. what sort of professional fakes an injury.
derryred

Gerrard during England friendly season....?

"He" may not be faking, the club could just be saying he has a tweak to appease the press and fans.

Here's hoping and praying! Mirallas would be a great addition to the squad. Check out the youtube videos id you havn't already!

Any interest from LFC for Lucas Ocampos?

23 Jul 2012 18:42:05
Any truth in Allen being signed soon, possibly before the American tour finishes. Sorry if this has been answered. Great site eds you lot do a great job.

CDM

Does it matter when he potentially signs? He is at the Olympics for the rest of the summer so he wouldn't be able to meet up with the squad any time soon.

If we want him, as it seems we do, I just hope we move before the likes of Man Utd or Arsenal make a move for him, as to me he is a cheaper alternative to Modric.

RedSG

Cant see him signing untill the olympics are over. So unlikely to make it for the american tour. But ya never know!

PDUK

Wont be long before gb are out dont worry

Olympics is on for 2 weeks, hardly the rest of the summer

23 Jul 2012 16:31:08
Is it true that we're looking to sign Gerard Deulofeu eds? {Ed022's Note - No idea, although I've heard the rumours.}

Its not true

This kid has the potential to be amazing. I doubt Barca want to let him go; however, if he does become available LFC should definitely try to sign him.

If the rumour about gerard D. Is true,BR should go for him because this is going to be worldclass

Just spoke to a Spanish mate of mine. Barca DO NOT want to let this lad go as he is seen as the next Iniesta. Would be a major coup because this lad is very similar to Raheem, and I would think he (like Raheem), is boardering on the verge of the first team.

Don't think he will sign but if he does. Hold on to your seat Dorothy, because Kansas is goin bye bye..

I'm not ITK nor do I have any sources but have heard that Luis Suarez has handed in a transfer request.
Please tell me its not true!

Lol. You might as well have said its a lie after the source bit too!

Normally a player only hands in a transfer request as one of his final ploys to be sold. One of the main reasons why players such as Suarez would not submit a transfer request is because contractually this usually cancels the club's obligations to compensate the player for an early contract cancellation. This is not an insignificant sum for Suarez - who still has several years on his current contract remaining. You will know if he really wants to go when his agent starts leaking to the press...

Its not true feel better now good move on onwards and upwords in br we must trust

So you heard it , then ask if its true, that says it all dude, stop yanking peoples chain

So basically you know nothing and you're just making stuff up. Crawl back under your bridge troll...

If you are not ITK and have no sources, how the hell can you have heard this?

It's not true.

Why would he hand in a transfer request just before the Olympics, disrupting the whole Uruguay camp for the tournament? Wish some people would think logically before posting!! SMH

I can tell you......"It's not true"
vrcomp
Y.N.W.A.

Let's hope not. These rumours will persist for some time methinks

Get back under yer bridge laa!

Let the muppet show begin!

Watching all website regarding transfer news never find it anywere wher do u find it? in your dream ?

I smell BULL SH*T

Oh my god...... Just chill out n stop posting stupid comments..... It's pathetic n we are all getting sick of it now.....

Chorley

Yes, very good manc man. now run along and bother someone else ya bitter.

It's not true

Where did you hear it, Fantasy Island? As far as i'm aware Brendan Rodgers has spoken to Suarez and he is confident that he will sign a new improved contract. Chill out and stop worrying.

Ok then, it's not true. Anything else you'd like me to tell you?

I dont understand... if you do not have any sources etc, then where do u here this bull ?
But as things stand, its not.

LFCHero ;)!

So your not itk or have source but you heard who from your nan

Its not true he is in the olypmic squad

23 Jul 2012 16:19:06
Has there been actual enquires/bids for agger/skrtel?

No, but it seems like some clubs have had a word with Skrtel's agent, and he would then have mentioned this interest to Skrtel. That's how heads are usually turned - the 'selling' club are rarely the first to know of another club's interest.

Of course there's been interest, agents phoning agents, asking if their players were interested. A long way off a bid to the club.

23 Jul 2012 15:51:39
Liverpool will not be signing another striker BR has high hopes for Pacheco and believes he can fit well into his system, we will continue to try and sign Joe Allen & Clint Dempsey but don't expect anything until after the USA tour.

Mr Papparazzi

Please mate. you have no clue do you. mr papparazi? whats that!

And that's what 45 mins in a friendly gets you...

Eddie

I agree we dont need any more strikers we have carrol suarez borini pacheco bellamy there all good enough ,maybe if any goes then yes replace them but id stick with them lot for now if i was liverpool

Complete s***! Prepare for mid table finnish if u want that to happen

I hope its true

Everyone's still clueless re: forwards. Not inconceivable that Bellamy, Suarez, Carroll, Cole and Pacheco will all move on. I know it's unlikely, but with uncertainty about all of them then we only have Borini with Sterling and Morgan the most prominent of ressies. We will be buying at least 1 (probably Dempsey) even if no-one moves on. Reckon Sinclair is pretty likely as well but it could be any 5 forwards of 30 as far as anyone knows.

Hope Allen deal comes off. Not too bothered about dempsey

Mr Papparazzi........ mor like Mr I watched the friendly the other day and decided to make up this rumour because he was one of the better players. How do you know what Brendan Rodgers is thinking?

LFCmonkey

Now thats just silly! That names way too long to sign off his posts with ;P

23 Jul 2012 14:25:30
Ed & Reds,

I was quite surprised to see we are prepared to let Toni Silva leave on a free. He looked like he had great potential when I saw flashes of him on LFC TV, alongside Sterling, Suso and Adorjan. Excellent close control and a useful finish.

Can anyone with a more educated knowledge of the LFC youth setup than me explain why he's been released. What he was lacking?

Thanks

Red G

I don't have any knowlage of the youth system apart from a few friends who have had family members in the very young youth systems eg U11 etc, but isn't there a chance he just didn't want to sign for Liverpool?

He may have felt his career would progress better at a lower league club with more playing oppurtunity.

Rob

I've watched him a lot. He's greedy, wasteful and has a bad attitude. He may show glimpses of brilliance, but I am really not bothered in the slightest he has left. I wish him all the best, but he was never going to cut it at Liverpool

Tbh I don't think he lacks anything but he would hold back the development of Ibe because both will want reserve team football next year and he has the least potential of the two.

As a Northampton based red I saw him playing for Northampton a few times this seasons and he did really stand out in div 2.

Apparently he had a bust-up with a few players before he left on loan last season. But mainly, the emergence of Sterling and Ibe means his chances will be even more limited.

He needs to learn to pass the ball if he wants to get into any team, never Liverpool.

Apparently ibe is regarded almost as highly as sterling.

Looked great when he started with us a couple of years back but really hasn't progressed and younger players are now making him look ordinary. Was ok last year but nothing special. Playing alongside class like Suso, Sterling, Coady, Wisdom, Morgan etc. showed him up. Good luck to the lad anyways.

How can he go on a free when hes under 21?,,.can some one clear it up for me please?? wont we get some compo for him ? P.S hes not all that we have got suso and that morgan looked allrite, loads of other class kids aswell!

This is a bit surprising. If it's true that there is no sell-on cause included in the sale I reckon it's bad business. The boy had potential. We may as well be burning money - getting a sell-on clause added wouldn't be much trouble.

I'm still annoyed at letting Ince go for nothing. He's another good young player who can have a career in the PL - Letting these players leave for nothing really is bad business.

BJH YNWA

Even in the nextgennhe was sub a lot he is very talented but hot or cold plus in the front three role at that level there is Suso, adorjan, sterling then below Ibe, texeria, Dunn and others younger again I suppose it's a take your pick... We are lucky enough to have choices in these positions

Jerome Sinclair is also very good (in the sturridge mold)

Ibe will be better then Sterling, better physically, as fast and tricky and a better finisher too.

With Ibe, Sterling and Sinclair I doubt Toni Silva will get anyway near the first team.

BthekingB

Texeira and Dunn play CM not as forwards. (Why do those who don't watch the kids and ressies keep commenting about their potential?!!)

There is a reason that he was let go that wasnt football related! i did elaborate that he was gone is a previous post a few months back! he has a bad attitude and thinks he is deserving of a lot more that he gets irrespective of the fact that he hasnt done much to deserve it! scousedel

Concensus seems to be that he was skillful, but sufferred from 'blind alley' syndrome. Everyone seems enthusiastic for Ibe though. Great to see we have such depth in the yourh setup. I just hope that the pressure to get results doesnt block their progress to the first team...

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Red G

23 Jul 2012 14:07:27
is it true that Andy carrol has a £5 million sell on clause in his contract ,so if we sold him to newcastle for 15 million they would only pay £ 10 mil if so we really need to look at what we do with transfers what will Tom Ince going with no add ons and now Tony silva we really are a laughing stock in the transfer market

He forgot to sign off. I'll do it for him.

Clueless gimboid

Tom Ince listens to his whinging father too much. Ready for the 1st team my arse! Neither Ince nor Silva will be top players so don't worry. The real class players are being nurtured properly.

You are the laughing stock posting garbage like this.

I would imagine that any business would put a 5 million pound sell on clause into any contract involving a 35 million pound asset. Some people baffle me?

What has tom ince done that was so great. the same can be said for toni silva, yes he has potential but he was going to leave anyway as ibe and sterling are looking like they can be much better. so we should wish him all f the best.
derryred

What's this we?

That clause you're talking about doesn't exist, Tom Ince is a Championship player, Toni Silva only recently began playing for Liverpool reserves. Pure delusion and cluelessness on your part my friend

Martin

Tom Ince left Liverpool because his father thought the contract he was offered was not good enough and he should be in the first team squad...FACT

Tony Silva done something very wrong regarding another reserve players girlfriend. There was a big fall out, he was shipped to Northampton on loan soon after (last season) and has been offered for a free transfer to Barnsley to move him on.

The boy has talent but his move was the best thing for all parties.

23 Jul 2012 13:46:53
Hi eds, if skrtel did go, would there be a possibility of hummels? As in if we offered enough money would he come? Thanks jayo. {Ed002's Note - No.}

Well if we offered £40m and £175k per week in wages plus a signing on fee pals taxes then I think the answer would be yes. But thats pretty unlikely...

Always one smart arse isn't there

ED what about Dede ? I heard he was available for about 12-15 million pounds.
Now that would be some business. {Ed022's Note - Isn't that the crappy defender?}

Dede has good pace on fifa for a cb. Not far off Thiago Silva...

I hope we sell skrtel, give some added funds for other areas of need, and I believe we should give Coates a go. If he can play for Uruguay, surely he's good enough for LFC

24 Jul 2012 18:03:52
There is a possibility of any player in world football but its unlikely as we are not looking at overpriced players with astronomical wages.

23 Jul 2012 13:00:11
Afternoon eds.
Sky are reporting that toni silva could be joining barnsley on a free........ have you heard anything. Thanks.

LAVERS {Ed002's Note - Seems likely.}

End up like vaz te but better if that makes sense ha

23 Jul 2012 12:26:10
Hi Ed's is it true we r letting toni silva go to barnsley on a free transfer ?, he is only young and looks a very good future 1st teamer, wouldn't a loan be better ? He has a cracking left foot! Thanks ed's DHH L20 Kopite!
Y..N..W..A
jft96! {Ed002's Note - I understand it is a free transfer.}

I can't believe they'd let him go out on a free, I watched the exeter gamer and the lad looked class, why not loan him out for a year, the lad has good potential and a cracking left boot???????

confused.com

Saw loads of him last year chaps whilst he was playing for the Cobblers.

Good but dont think he would quite cut it in the Premier

CaptainClacker

Have to agree with my Cobblers supporting friend.Spent few happy hours at the old County Ground myself before the days of Sixfields.

Yeah watched him for Northampton last year and he didn't stand out and Northampton are a very poor team !

Eds please tell the fans that even though Silva is leaving on a free, Liverpool is still entitled to compensation due to his age? {Ed001's Note - he is being allowed to go on a free, I believe, to help him out. We are only entitled to compensation if we make him a contract offer that at least matches his current terms. I am not 100%, but I am told it was clear he wouldn't get the game time for the reserves next season, he wasn't in the first team reckoning and so is being granted a free transfer.}

23 Jul 2012 11:29:09
Hi Ed's

With the reports that Toni Silva is moving to Barnsley, is his contract up or will we look to do a Barcelona type deal and put a buy back clause in, in case the kid comes on well?

It's obviosuly becoming more of a trend to do such deals, allowing youngsters to develop, whilst not being 'tied' to them but giving us the option of re-acquiring if there potential is realised.

Mark the Selby Red {Ed002's Note - It is a free transfer - there won't be a buy back deal (which are very rare indeed.)}

23 Jul 2012 12:13:30
{Ed029's Note - ...It could be that Fulham are playing hardball...}

If Fulham wants to play hardball over Dempsey, then we should walk away and let them keep an unhappy player in their books. There are other players we can go for.

Also, disappointed that rumours regarding Skrtel and Suarez leaving refusing to go away. I hate to lose both quality players because it'll greatly weaken the team, but if they want to go, I rather they go early so that we have time to find replacements for them.

Singred

Out of the four players linked with moves away from the club (Skrtel, Agger, Carroll and Suarez) I would be most concerned about losing Agger.

JRG

Only one likely to go is Carroll in my opinion.

I love Skrtel like the rest of us, he's top class... But I wouldn't be too concerned really. Would take around £20m to prize him away, and that money could be spent in an area that we need strengthening. Martin Kelly & Seb Coates are both good enough to step up and fight for a place alongside Agger. I would be far more concerned if we lost the great Dane than anyone else...

As for Luis Suarez, I can't see him leaving, and likewise would take a lot of money (£30m) to prize him away. If he was sold I wouldn't be too concerned because I know the owners will want to keep the fans on their side, and doing so would have to buy a top top class replacement. Just to throw a name in the hat... Iker Muniain?

Stone YNWA.

I'm most concerned about losing Suarez.

Singred

If he goes it's because he wants to, which is fine with me. Anyone not happy being paid tens of thousands a week to play for Liverpool can jog on.

Redge

I have serious doubts about Muniain being an adequate replacement. Suarez, in my eyes, is irreplaceable, and will only get better and better. Why should Liverpool sell a player in the prime of his career?

This is not the first time I have read someone saying Coates and Kelly are both ready to be our first team central defenders. On what evidence are such comments based? The collapse at QPR (Coates) or Kelly's injury record?

We would be very short if Skrtel left.

Im most concerned that lucas doesnt get injured again

Let start talking sense here...suarez would by far and away be the biggest lost. Without him last year,we were toothless up front. We'd get by without Agger as we do every year when gets injured.

23 Jul 2012 11:22:27
Hi Eds, I'm from England but luve in the Netherlands and a few reports here show that Rasmus Elm wants a move to Liverpool. I remember reading here a few month ago that he was wanted be Daglish. May be just speculation but sources do have quotes from his agent so I don't know. Just letting you know. Keep up the good work.

Lukieyy.

He's pants and looks like rocky dennis of the film mask from yrs ago

23 Jul 2012 10:25:35
Can't find any interview w/ ls about him saying he will be plyin for juventus but argie story sez 'reported from Olympic camp' so must be recent. Who is honigstien.

It says that the source of the Argentinian story is Nicolas Lodeiro but as Brendan Rodgers says when he speaks to Luis Suarez everything is pointing at him signing a new contract and staying. What I don't really understand is the interviews and statements that Luis Suarez keeps making. Is he looking to manipulate a move away? Ben S

23 Jul 2012 10:23:47
Ed do you think suarez wants to leave ?
All that is coming out seems to suggest Owners want to sell but Suarez is happy to stay. If he does indeed show intention of leaving , I think everybody will be happy to let him move on. But on the other hand if owners are forcing him out then their head needs a serious wobble.
Moving on player of such calibre who gives his all for the whole 90 minutes will be as bad a move we would ever make. {Ed002's Note - There is little point in my saying anything about Suarez at all. We will see what happens.}

I hope I'm wrong......but Suarez will not be a Liverpool player come September. I have no evidence, it's simply my opinion. But the Liverpool brand was badly damaged by the Evra incident, and FSG need to be seen to do something about it. Letting KD go was the 1st step Luiz will be next. The reality was that Standard Chartered were going to pull a 125m sponsorship deal because of how the club handled the incident. As I said I hope I'm wrong.....

A note of support for ED2...we (myself included) may not like to hear what she says, that we're not chasing 30m players like Chelsea and City......but on the whole she speaks the turth. Keep up the good work ED's

REDNOSE

I just wish Man Utd supporters in a sheep costume would stop visiting our sight and say that Suarez case was handled incorrectly. Ferguson would have done the same and much worse. Everyone knows that Man Utd got muppets in the useless FA head quarters.

Want Saurez to stay, not many players like Saurez, what he can do, how he can change a game. If Skrtel/Agger left I think they are replaceable. But if we can keep our spine, Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Lucus, Saurez/Carrol... I think add good pacey wide goalscoring players and that is a great team! Lets be optimists not pesimists! Love the site Ed!

Please post in reply to rednose if you think suarez seriously damaged te liverpool brand why use him to advertise the 3rd kit on the official website.

Yes thats right speaks the turth..

I'm a liverpool fan - he did tarnish the clubs image (and still is) and I for one despite his talent would be glad to see the back of him and what's more, i'm not alone with that opinion, maybe a minority

Really were do u ppl come up with this sh*t ..plz tell me were u read that fsg ever said they want to sell suarez? Stop believing everything u hear. On twitter ..BR said he wants 2 keep suarez and that's the end of it..if he wants 2 leave wish him the best and move on

PP

I feel he is a great player but if the likes of PSG come in with a £40M+ bid why not take it as long as FSG let BR re-invest it where he sees fit. Alan Pardew got Newcastle to 5th with half that.

Rob

If FSG force Luis out we must return to the protests and force them out too. "Selling clubs" win nothing.

If FSG "force" Suarez out, it's his own fault for not shutting the hell up about Evra after the club dropped it. Club employees cannot behave like that, no matter how good they are at their jobs. If Suarez leaves for that reason, I'm not going to hold it against FSG, and neither should anyone else.

- Something Red -

Suarez will not be joining Juventus. They have been making massive losses year on year and are only signing free agents. The fact we bought Suarez for 23million means he will not be leaving for the poultry 24 mill quoted. Leave it be. He is a brilliant player and we should be looking forward with him.

Force him out? He's doing that quite nicely on his own! What else would you call visiting Juventus, continuing to disregard 'advice' given by his bosses to shut up, and friends talking about how awesome Juve and what a big club they are? Yeah, he just 'loves the club' so much...

Couldn't agree more, Something Red. I have no idea why people think his behavior is acceptable simply because he can nutmeg his way through a few people here and there.

If you're in a management position and one of your employees is consistently misbehaving and ignoring your 'advice', what are you supposed to do? Nothing?

He's a talent, of that there is no doubt, but I for one wouldn't be sad to see Suarez go for £30M and those funds instead be used to buy either one or two very good replacements (say Gaston Ramirez for £18M and Clint Dempsey for £12M, as examples).

RDL

If a player wants to leave and a good bid comes in take it but i dont think suarez wants to leave. The model fsg r trying to implement will be more sucessful if the fair play rules have real back bone to it and the likes of buy any player we want city chelsea r stopped.

Surely if he does go it will be because he wants to go maybe the bringing up evra case allow him to go citing problem as a reason personally i think the article was taken from a past interview and brought up as a conspiracy if he wants to go let him torres wanted to leave macherano alonso ect so ive started to do what carra says support the name on the front of the shirt not the back slur alex ferguson just happens to bring it up as utd are touring a african nation were liverpool are still a big pull ??? {Ed001's Note - Suarez brought it up again, not Fergie.}

If standard charter pulled out there would be a number of companies ready to take there place could you imagine a company who bow to its partners every whim if suarez still believes he was hard done to its his right to defend himself in interviews {Ed001's Note - you really are mad if you think that there would be a number of companies willing to pay as much as they are! The whole reason they are our sponsor in the first place is because they were willing to pay more than anyone else! It is so simple, the lad needs to go, he can't do as he is told, he can't stay out of trouble and keep his mouth shut. He should never have been bought.}

No one is bigger than the team, if he goes he goes, get one or two top players in to replace then kick him up in the air next time we play him.....just like Torres

Sye

Hi ed002, what would you say our chances are of getting joe allen and clint dempsey. Also would you expect martin skrtel to leave as he is heavily linked with man city, hope he doesn't though as he was our outstanding player last year and most consistent.
Great site. {Ed002's Note - I think there is a very good chance that both Allen and Dempsey will sign. I don't know what will happen with Skrtel but there is, as he has said, interest in him.}

Skrtel had a very good season but I'm sure I'm not the only one who can remember some pretty inept performances before that. He may have turned the corner and become a good player good player but he is hardly irreplaceable if he chooses to leave.

I remember his god awful performance against Middlesbourgh in 08/09 which was one of the games that cost us the league.

If he goes it gives Wilson and Coates a chance to get some game time

Rob

That was 3 years ago keep all our players other than a couple of midfielder we can get rid of ...

I know it was three years ago, it was just a bad game that game to mind. He is a good player but I would rather keep Agger if I had the choice

Rob

We really must keep our best players if we are going to improve.Obvious statement but true.

His "God awful" performance against Middlesborough was from right back, he's not really able to play there.

I wouldn't be devestated if Skrtel left, he's only had one really top season and can be replaced. But we would have to replace him. Carra's lack of pace is now fairly terminal and, as promising as Coates is, it would be unfair to stick him in on a regular basis. He plays a position where if he makes a mistake (as young players do) we'll likely concede and the media and the fans will be on his back. Ideal number of games for Coates next season is about 15, imo, not every week.

I'm not convinced by Wilson, but then he's only played centre back for us about twice.

- Something Red -

20mil for Skrtel would by us a better central defender, I like the effort he puts in but he doesn't have Aggers football skills!

To be quite honest, we paid ~£8M for Coates (slightly more than we paid for Charlie Adam) and he's almost 22 now.

If he's not ready for a regular spot or at least the default number 3 choice over Carra and Wilson, then we should be looking at our options with respect to him.

Personally, if Skrtel does go, I'd give Coates run as the starter next to Agger and see how it goes. Carra could always play instead if it's not working and I would focus on a replacement in January.

RDL

His "God awful" performance against Middlesborough , er wasn't that the game when King Jamie refused to play at right back ?

I don't think we would get £20M for Skrtl, £10-12M at best.

Just personal opinion

Rob

Skrtel one of our best defenders, replace him with one of our Kids....do you lot really watch games or what?

Coates isn't really a kid. He's nearly 22, been here quite some time now, and only has a couple of appearances more for LFC than he does the Uruguayan national team.

Is it true that Luis said in uruguy that he will be playing for juventus under the Italian fa ? {Ed002's Note - Not quite it was an unsubstantiated report from Argentina.}

Luis talks to much if he wants to go piss off, he's never come out and said I love it at Liverpool and I'm going no were it's like he's trying get away bringing up the evra row again talking to other players about there clubs we've always been lucky in replacing strikers and we will if needed replace Suarez I love the player but all this talk is doing my head in over the years liverpools problem has been players being committed and that's what we need so any player that isn't no matter how could should be allowed to leave

I'd rather he doesn't considering the last time one of our star strikers signed a contract extension and said he loves the club he left a few months later

In fact Suarez has - on several occasions - said how much he loves it at Liverpool. He has several times, also in the aftermath of the Evra-incident said, that he loves the club, the city and he has replied in a positive tone to all the support the fans have shown him.
So I don't really understand the "he's never come out and said I love it at Liverpool and I'm going nowhere" statement...?

Maybe he hasn't said "I'm going nowhere", but he talks about his love for club, city and fans, and he speaks of his future as if it lies in Liverpool.

I don't know what to make of it all, but a player like Suarez will always be linked with other clubs, after such an incident, let alone his skills and talent.

/DanishKopite

I seem to recall Suarez saying he thought he could even maybe retire at the club he loved it so much! Oh, hang on, that was Ajax was he was there...

Players affectations for their current club really shouldn't be taken so seriously by the fans.

I am lead to believe that we will not be doing a player exchange deal for Carroll involving Newcastle and Ba. We will be spending the money on another striker. I was told that one of the players in mind was infact David Villa. Thats all I know. This is only if a suitor comes in for Carroll with an offer of 20m or very close to it..

IKanITK.

FSG strategy- Bring in young players we can develop and will have a resale value. How exactly would what you're proposing above fit into this? And, remember Motientes!

Stop posting about david villa please - it doesn't make it any more believable

Clint dempsey ain't young!

Not interested in trying to make it sound believable mate, it's what I have been told. Just passing it on.

IKanITK.

David Villa will not come to Liverpool. If he were to move I would expect him to stay in Spain.

David villa was the first player to warn lfc that torres would go to chelsea

I posted a few months ago regarding this matter. My source is the head distributor for Adidas in Ireland. As I said, I posted this months ago so I don't know if the interest is still as significant. Would be a great addition to the squad.

YNWA

Dempsey represents decent value as he's 28 and proven in the prem. David Villa doesn't, as he's 30+, never played in the prem, has recently come back from a long injury, and would command a hefty fee and wages

David Villa, I think is the same age as Clint Dempsey. But would cost maybe twice as much and isn't Prem proven. However I'd like to see him try it at LFC no matter how unlikely it is.

Rob

This is rubbish and adidas dont have anything to do with the club anymore so they know s**t ...... no-one can guess what rodgers will do so sit back and have faith .....

Sorry mate, i think you misunderstood, David Villa is sponsered by Adidas, that is why the source is reliable, nothing to do with the clubs previous sponsership with the brand. As I said already, this information was put forward to me in march.

D16Red

Clint Dempsey is 29 not 28 and half way through next season he'll be 30.Villa is turned 30 already,may not have yet recovered from his serious injury that kept him out of action last season,and is paid vast wages.I'm not wild about signing either of them at inflated prices.

People are missing one important point here...if a player is fit, doesn't miss many games and looks after himself, then his age becomes somewhat irrelevant. Dempsey is a good athlete doesn't miss many games and seems to be peaking at the moment. At 29 a 3 year contract will bring him to his 32nd birthday so I dont know what the big fuss is here. He's 2/3 years younger than Gerrard so should we be thinking about letting Gerrard go because he no longer fits the "young policy". The club have a general policy of recruiting young players but is doesn't apply exclusively and its good to have a mix. Dempsey would be a clever signing both on the pitch and off it for commercial reasons.

Just a quick question Eds, is there any interest from teams for our players? like aquaman, Cole, wilson and other young players? thanks. pops {Ed002's Note - There is interest in a number of players. As discussed there is certainly interest in Carroll, Skrtel, Agger and Suarez. Interest in Joe Cole has waned - probably due to financial reasons. Any interest in Aquilani would obviously be welcome.}

Wish aqua would be willing to stay, hes a top player when happy and in form playing at his best!

My mate who is a Swansea fan thinks if Aquilani wanted to stay he would fit in very well to Rodgers system.

23 Jul 2012 00:10:37
hi eds its my first time being on this site or second i think,would just like to know if you have any info on gerard of Barcelona and if we are interested?

thanks

seve S.A {Ed002's Note - As I said yesterday, I don't know anything of the matter.}

So Ed if we have to simplify it :
Teams are interested in players we dont want to sell while there is no interest in players we are looking to sell(except Carroll who we ourselves are confused what to do).

22 Jul 2012 23:18:41
Hi eds - Do you think it a real possibility that we could even consider let alone accept any bids for Luis Suarez. Surely we need to keep him at all costs and same goes for any of our top players. Liverpool need top 4 back asap and losing out top players will not help us achieve this. FSG put your money where your mouth is and support BR to the hilt like we did with KK and give ourselves the best chance again to succeed next season!!! {Ed002's Note - Would you stand in the way of a player wanting to leave?}

Agree with poster, and yes I would do anything humanly and legally possible to keep a player like Luis.
CR

If you're a strong manager - Yes!

The first half of you post makes sense - I agree we need to try and keep suarez ( although i'm not sure he would be useful if he wanted away).

Your demand to FSG is however a joke mate. These guys are not multi billionaires and for them to put another £100m into the club is probably akin to some muppett shouting at you to buy another £200k house ( it aint that easy). Im a fan of suarez - love the fact he winds united up every chance he gets but he isnt a Stevie G who will put the club before his self !. Back FSG who live in the real world not the over paid players.

I agree with Ed! Why would you keep a player that wants to leave (look at Modric!). Suarez causes enough issues when he doesnt want to leave! Imagine what he would be like if he did want to!

Agreed 100%. He is contracted to Liverpool and I would make sure he honoured it. We should not be even contemplating losing our best players, and he is the best player we have. His style of football fits in BR's style of play perfectly and he is without doubt head and shoulders above any of the other forwards we have or are likely to bring in!

If Suarez wants to go, let him - same as with Torrid. The next chapter awaits.

cozinoz

If he had to be sold, then I would sell him for no less than £30 million.

Most of these answers seem pretty naive to me...

Firstly, I think Luis is an exceptional player, with the potential to be truly world class. I would hate him
To leave...

However, if he wants to go, and realistic offers come in for him, there is very little point in keeping him against his will. You will have an unhappy player with a dwindling transfer value.

This is the sad state of affairs in 2012, the players have all the power.

I would like luis to stay , as ive said in other posts over the last few days , we need to keep our top players , and sign one or two , especially up top , to finish the side off. but , if luis or any other player , doesnt want to stay , let them go and get top players in who do want to play for our great club. godbless 96 all reds. steviep62.

Why would anyone want a player who does not want to be at the club. Perfect example being Torres. If he said he wants to go then sell him, but he doesnt........
FowlerisGod

I can't agree about backing FSG. They own LFC and with that comes responsibility. As was quoted about buying a £200,000 house, you don't buy a house where you can't afford the mortgage. FSG have bought LFC - they must live up to their promises. End of.

If u a real footballer u shud worry abt yo proffession not the money right ED

I agree with Cozinoz - I wouldn't want to keep any unhappy player at the club whoever they may be. It will only affect their performance and the performances of the team.

We probably kept Torres a season longer than we should and who can remember him labouring around the pitch with a face like a slapped ar5e in that final season? Or Mascherano refusing to play for the club? I do not want to get into a situation like that again.

JRG

Refusing to sell Suarez would cause all sorts of problems within the club. Morally the guy is worse than Tevez. If he wants to leave then it's about getting the best deal possible for him. The fact that Juventus are not in any rush to start the proceedings IMO shows just how confident they are of signing him. The player wants to leave, FSG will sell and Juventus amongst others want him. It's inevitable surely?

Disney!

Am i to tkae it that you have recived dome info on suarez wanting to leave ed02. Appolagise if youve stated this somwhere and ive missed it but ive tried the search function and nothings come up. Ive also had a read of all the usual places and nothings being mentioned. I havent been on hear for a day or two so have i missed cruicial bit of info on suarez. I it is true Liverpool going to have a real problem as the deal would probably have to be concluded after the season has started and we all know what happens when LFC rush a transfer.

If he wanted to leave after all the support the club and playing staff gave him last season then we are better off without him . If he was to go I would demand at least 35 mill. at least - otherwise he can rot on the bench for 4 years {Ed002's Note - I somehow doubt that the club will let him "rot on the bench for four years".

In reply to the person who said we cant ask FSG to put in another 100 million. They never have put in 100 in the first place! LFC have a net spend of 36 million over the last three years. Plus we have got rid of 17-20 players since FSG took over reducing the wage bill. In reality they haven't really spent anything. I for one would question when they are going to back the team as it seems we once again will have to sell i.e Carroll to buy! I really hope the Americans do step up and spend but based on previous form i wouldn't expect the changes that we need to challenge for top four. I am not saying we will not or can't reach the top four but we need Rodgers to gets the best out of current squad with a few minor changes.

Personally I would not expect them to spend 100 million but just for them to go out and spend 20 -25 million out of their own pocket on one world class signing for us that will make the difference. That would make me one happy fan!

K-Man {Ed002's Note - The club takes money to run and it is not just transfers the owners are funding. Since they arrived the total loss the business has suffered has been circa £1M per week on average. Perhaps you should be thankful the owners are as good as they are.}

If he want's to leave all he'll do is sulk, get rid, get the money and get a replacement.

AW got hold of Cesc for at least one year and Redknapp did not allow Modric to go. Hence, a good manager with proper backing from the club owners can do a lot.
Now, can we really afford to let Suarez go, with no big names linked with us? With Chelsea, United and City are signing top players from all over the world can we imagine the potential gap that we may have between ourselves and the top 4?
However, if he is to be sold that decision should be made sooner than later and of course we shud ask a big amount and the money should be better spent in a quality world class player, not in the likes of Dempsey et al. Otherwise, I can see our club permanently posited in the middle of the table.

Have a look at the premier league richest owners list FSG are worth 20 odd billion and 3rd or 4th in the list. {Ed002's Note - FSG are not worth that, teh combined wealth of the partners is.}

A strong manager would have dealt with him properly, hence why BR may be thinking of moving him on. He's not worth the bother, especially if he won't stop shooting his mouth off. I for one don't want to be watching THE handshake before our next game against Utd as if it's important.

"Otherwise, I can see our club permanently posited in the middle of the table."

Banter put to one side, I genuinely see Liverpool as a 6th-10th club now and to be fair you have been for sometime now. With your new signings/targets and manager, it seems you are drifting closer to 10th than 6th. BR is a good manager, but in terms of pull I cannot see him attracting any decent stars. Players like Skrtel & Suarez wanting to move to bigger clubs and Agger and Reina not being 100% committed I would say that Liverpool need some top quality talent brought in or 8th and possibly lower is going to be a regular occurrence. Kenny really put the club back some years, he should have done better with his £100m+ that he had at his disposal.

If I said to you around Christmas time that Kenny, Skrtel, Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Agger & Reina could all leave in the summer with Rodgers, Allen, Dempsey, Borini & Sinclair/Moses could come in, you lads would be raiding the medicine cabinet. Lets not forget you had already lost Torres, Masch, Alonso etc. Financially you are now safe from administration/liquidation, but the standard of players have dipped a considerable amount.

Disney!

I hate to agree...but I am a realist and have to. The fact of four of our best players wanting away or having their heads turned by (currently) 'bigger' clubs is hard to swallow, but at leasy we could (post Comoli) reinvest wisely and build for the future. However, when we know Downing/Adam/Henderson are simply not good enough, we need to be doing more to get rid, and save their wages for genuine prospects.

Are they wanting away? Suarez has said he loves the club, Skirtle is wrangling for more money. There is nothing real about the Reina and Agger rumours. Don't let bitters and mancs get inside your heads. Rodgers is not going to let the best players that fit his style leave. Once the team is playing passing football they will all be enjoying it. We may be still upper mid table by the end of the season but lets not be so negative about it. Let them kick a bloody ball.

Yeah and most of that 1 million a week came from 50 million that had to be written off for stadium plans that came to nothing!

K-man

Disney go back to Disney world where you clearly walk around with a big false head on and scare kids.You don't scare us with your inane drivel.

He's said he loves the club. His actions would tend to suggest otherwise.

If carrol and suarez were to go wed end up with the 50 million we got for torres and will allow rodgers to buy his own men me personally would keep both and see what happens but if bids come in and they want to leave so be it ynwa

Disney ??? suarez worse than tevez i cant remember suarez refusing to play and getting off for months luis stayed and watched the reds during his ban your name is disney are you just here to make kids happy

Put your money on it, Suarez will be gone before the season starts. FSG will sell him because of Blah blah blah, we will get a nobody who cost about £5 million we'll be starved again......why oh why, whats happened to the mighty Reds........

Hi Eds.
Is it true that Skertel declined to be interviewed after the Toronto game.
Have BR and FSG, decided to 'gag' all potential transfer targets from speaking to the media (for fear of giving away too much), or was this purely a player decision.
Puzzled. {Ed002's Note - I really don't know if he declined to be interviewed but there soes appear to be a breakdown in communications between Rodgers and the camps of one or two players.}

Ed002... Interesting comment, any chance you can elaborate on that? Are they the players regularly being discussed, or a problem yet to surface? {Ed002's Note - The feeling right now is either Rodgers is being a little naive with his denial that there had been any interest shown in Skrtel (whereas both the player and his agent have said there have been offers to leave) or he is out of the loop regarding offers being made to the club for players. No doubt he will ahve something to say about Suarez in the next couple of weeks.}

What do you mean ed and which players? thanks! :)

legs

Ed002, he has already said loads of stuff about suarez, he said he speaks to him regularly and that suarez says he wants to stay and is looking foward to next season? {Ed002's Note - No problem then.}

That's a bit concerning ed, should he not be in total control of the situation
Tommy {Ed002's Note - If a club makes an approach to another club to see if they would be interested in selling a player it would not be made via the manager.}

Ed 002 If I recall rightly you've been very anti Suarez even before we signed him. Actually you seem to be anti LFC having any quality players in their squad. Maybe the Chelski coming out in you. {Ed002's Note - I told you at Christmas that Dalglish would leave - does that make me anti-Dalglish? I will share the best information I have but if all you want to hear is Cavani and Ronaldo arriving then you won't get that from me. Hopeless. I notice from you anonymopus trolling of other editors in your posts it is not just me you are picking on. A sad indictment indeed.}

"{Ed002's Note - The feeling right now is either Rodgers is being a little naive with his denial that there had been any interest shown in Skrtel (whereas both the player and his agent have said there have been offers to leave)"

Skrtels comments recently were "I am a player of Liverpool because I have a valid contract here. There exist a number of offers but without the permission of Liverpool nothing can move forward."

So is Skrtel and/or his agent negotiating with other clubs without the permission of Liverpool?

Is Rodgers being naive or are the interested clubs going directly to the player/agent without making an approach to the Liverpool?

JRG

{Ed002's Note - The implication of Skrtel's comment is that Liverpool have not granted permission for him to talk to any other club. There is no suggestion that any direct approach has been made to the player but certainly the agent could have been speaking with other sides.}

Thanks Ed002 for clarifying that.

If clubs are talking to Skrtels agent without permission from Liverpool is this considered 'tapping-up'? Impossible to prove I know.

I'm sure this kind of stuff goes on all the time between interested clubs and players/agents. Before a club goes through the process of forming a bid for a player they will want to know whether the player has an interest in joining their club.

The Joe Allen and Luca Modric expected transfers are examples of players who have had there heads turned by offers from clubs without having permission to speak to them.

I guess it was just a bit dumb of Skrtel to admit to knowing of interest from other clubs?

JRG {Ed002's Note - Clubs can talk to agents and it is not "tapping up".}

So it is possible that the interest in Skrtel from other clubs has been made direct to his agent and as of yet there has been no approach made to the club?

So rather than Rodgers being naive or out of the loop there may not have been an approach to the club for the player for Rodgers to know about?

I am not trying to contradict what you have said, but I can see people using these comments as a stick to beat Rodgers, FSG and the club with in the future.

JRG

I think Brendan Rodgers comments about Skrtel mirror those from other clubs where they know that another club is interested but choose words carefully as it is likely that no actual bid has been made.

He needs to be as truthful as possible whilst not showing our hand in any negotiation tactics.

I do think though that it could be a sign that Skrtel wants out and that we would let him go for the right money.

Let's wait and see.

Thomas

Talking to the agents is tapping up

Jay {Ed001's Note - it depends on what they say!}

Makes me laugh when admin get slated for being honest and not telling people what they want to hear. there will be no messi, ronaldo etc coming in if you want fantasy read The S*n but i for one would rather have the true reflection on transfer dealings
well done eds
steve L

"Currently under both the transfer rules established by FIFA and the Football Association followed by the clubs playing in England if another club wants to procure the services of a player that is registered with another club they must speak directly with that club and not to the player or his agent. The individual player and the agent who represents him will only be brought in for discussions with the potential purchasing club once the two clubs have agreed on a fee."

So if a rival club has approached Skrtels agent then it is tapping up?

JRG {Ed022's Note - Unfortunately this is no longer the case. A club can directly approach an agent before approaching the other club.}

Ok thanks for clearing that up Ed.

JRG

Latest rumour emerging from Craven Cottage ! Liverpool want Dempsey , it's an open secret. Fulham is furious after the alleged 'Liverpool signed Dempsey' report and now they want to punish Liverpool by intentionally givings loads of troubles to the Dempsey saga. According to my source and insider, Fulham apparently need to cash in Dempsey now or lose him for nothing. But they are playing games with Liverpool. Fulham also make it clear they want straight cash or cash with player with Adam and couple of other youngsters being linked. A deal will be sorted by this Friday , you hear it first !

Anderson

You state that Fulham will make negotiating difficult and then yougo on to describe a very complicated transfer and you claim it will all be sorted in 5 days !!! not likely

Well if this is the case, we should just say fine, we are not desperate for dempsey he's too old and is not the be all and end all.

This is the world of professional football, not the playground- I doubt Fulham want to 'punish' Liverpool by messing them around.

We heard it a few times already my friend
gareth

Thank god for Anderson and his know on this Dempsey saga.....I can finally sleep at night now.

Come on Anderson, you should be focusing on Manchester United's preseason and being the 'next Paul Scholes' rather than posting on Liverpool rumours boards!

Ha, I love the way people tag on the end "you heard it here first" when its either been on the rumour sites for weeks, but just because they add a little extra like "it'll be done this week" they like to set themselves up the take all the plaudits when a deal does actually go through. Its really sad!!

Its already been said recently by one of the Ed's that Fulham are difficult to deal with regarding transfers. Dempsey should put in a transfer request and try to force a move to LFC (Apoligies if he already has but i haven't read it anywhere) If Fulham want Adam then it could be a Win Win situation in that we have got a player we want to sign at a lower price than Fulham want and we have transfered a player who looked good at Blackpool but underperformed for Liverpool and its one less midfielder which we have an abundance of.

Also to add to my post, Danny Wilson was another playing being mooted for a loan switch to Swansea

Thanks again

Dan {Ed029's Note - That one is news to me, but he could well go there on a loan move as part of a deal to see Allen move the other way. I had heard that Shelvey was likely to go there on loan though, again it is all rumours at this stage

Maybe the players are being loyal to KK, fancy that Rich footballers............FSG dont like Sportsmen not toeing the line

Hi Ed's first time posting in a while, just posting what I've heard personally and what's been rumored, could you confirm whether its accurate or not for me please?

Apparently Newcastle are lining up an offer of £13 million plus Demba Ba for Andy Carroll, as Mike Ashley does not want to pay the asking price of £20 million, i'm not saying this will happen, just what I've heard because quite frankly Ba could say no and he might already leave before Newcastle make a bid, due to the £7 million release clause that expires July 31st
Plus his knee is a massive risk!
Then again £7 million for a premier league proven striker who can stick the ball in the net is a steal.

The money from Carroll looks set to be spent on Joe Allen

Rodgers is willing to include Charlie Adam in a deal for Clint Dempsey

Craig Bellamy looks to be off to Cardiff to replace the departed Kenny Miller

Joe Cole is rumored to be interesting Aston Villa and West Ham

And finally 1 or 2 youngsters could be set for a loan move to Swansea with Morgan, Suso and Wisdom being mentioned

Thanks Ed's
Dan {Ed029's Note - Thanks Dan, certainly some of that could happen. Personally I'd rather have AC but he may well leave and the rumours were that Ba could be included. Dempsey move should happen though I am unsure if Adam will be part of the deal. Some young players will be loaned out, one possibly being Sterling. There are also rumours of Cole to Villa and West Ham although I am unsure if it is anything other than rumours at this stage}

What makes you think LFC would want Ba?
He played well up till January and then was awful. Why would we want a player, on the basis of one good half a season?
kidmillions

Ba´s position changed too the left side when Cisse arrived, I believe that was the reason for his form dropping a little in the second half of the season..

Why would we pay £7m on a player after half a good season?

Where to start!!? Why would we pay £35m on a player after half a good season?

Also, Demba Ba had a great season for West ham the season before (he tortured us!), and was excellent in the Bundesliga? Half a season?

When Cisse signed Pardew chose to shift Ba out of the centre and the goals dried up, fair enough, but had he remained up top, he would have continued to score?

I believe that (injuries aside) the prospect of Suarez, Ba, Borini and Dempsey being at Liverpool next season is mouth watering!

Let's wait and see.

Eddie
I think you should be

How clueless are you with the arrival of cisse he was pushed out to the left and he is clearly not a natural LW

Wonder cud we sign Ba for half a season then!

Good god.....Demba "glass knees" Ba, we'd be daft to accept him as a player plus cash deal. Personally I would keep AC and get rid of Suarez as he wants to go and stirs up sh*te for LFC, at least AC will fight for his place and has shown what he can do in big games.

Brownie YNWA

Why would we sell a player who doesnt fit into managers plans and sign a similar player whos 5 yrs older doesnt make sense really

All this Babel talk is nonsense. This story has come about because someone tweeted Babel sayin Rodgers should re-sign him and Babel retweeted it. So we. An all take a big sigh of relief and move on.
Big Red

If Babel had spent as much time on the training ground as he does on Twitter, he probably would be world class...

Ryan Babel used to regularly put in extra sessions and begged managers to let him do more.
Don't hate on him for not being as good as his hype made him out to be. Remember the likes of Babel when you look at players like Sterling, Suso & Ibe. Don't expect the world from every promising player.

Any truth in this Babel back to Liverpool rumour eds? {Ed001's Note - not heard of any Babel back to Liverpool rumour, but I very much doubt we would have any interest in bringing him back.}

Rubbish.

I thought Babel was a very under-rated player.

Very selfish, but good.

Just my personal opinion

Transfer Round Up by Red Rout (re-post)

**= update since last round up

**Junior Hoillet: Ed002's Note - Reading, Spurs, Galatasaray, Sunderland, Newcastle, Stoke, Arsenal and possibly Aston Villa and QPR have been interested - plus a couple of clubs from Germany (Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich) and Marseille from France. Looks set for QPR.**

Ryad Boudebouz: Ed002's Note - Ryad Boudebouz will leave Sochaux with Real Betis and Lyon showing an interest. Way back in the day interest was shown by PSG, Spurs and Liverpool and certainly both made tentative enquiries. Lyon would seem to be the most likely destination right now although he is one of the two players that I understand Liverpool have recently asked to be kept informed of.

**Gago: Joined Valencia**

Daniel Parejo: Ed001's Note - from what I can find out, Valencia don't need to sell, Alba only went because of a buy back clause apparently. But they are one of the few clubs in Spain that are not in deep doo doo right now. They were, but they seem to have sorted themselves out. I can't find out anything about us having an interest in him either, though that isn't 100% as we have scouted so many games, it is almost impossible to be sure which actual players we looked at.

Ganso: Ed002's Note - It is not going to happen.

Gaston Ramirez: Ed002's Note - As I have said previously Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool but I still remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club but would not be at all surprised if a push was made to sign him particularly if someone leaves Liverpool. Ramirez was available in January for about 15M euro plus a signing on fee - but Liverpool did not follow up on their initial interest after having the player watched. Bologna will not now listen to offers less than 20M euros. However, it remains most likely that Ramirez will move in the summer with interest being shown by Napoli, Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Palermo and Juventus, who have made a firm offer. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Spurs, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested. Sevilla were interested but I understand that Ramirez has no interest in such a move. Discussions have taken place between Bologna and Manchester City, Napoli and Juventus. The talks with Juventus do continue and after Wolfsburg met with the player's agent talks are now being organised between Bologna and Wolfsburg. Gaston Ramirez's agent Pablo Betancourt has now also made it clear that Juventus and Wolfsburg are interested in his client and that he knows of no on going interest in the player from other Italian clubs.

Soldado: Ed002's Note - Soldado is no longer available.

**Vertonghen: moved to Spurs**

Adebayor: Ed002's Note - Fenerbahce and Spurs have shown interest. Cost is putting Spurs off.

Remy: Ed002's Note - There have been no approaches to Marseille regarding Loic Remy from Liverpool but in January a third party (an agent) suggested to Marseille that there was interest from Spurs and some sort of exchange for Pavlyuchenko was proposed which was immediately dismissed. Spurs went in to discuss options for buying the player outright and Marseille said he was not for sale but they could return with a bid in the summer. Remy would perhaps be interested in a move to a leading side but Marseille have no interest in selling unless a very good offer is made - circa 20M euros - as they need the money. Lille are perhaps showing teh most interest right now.

**Forlan: Joined Internacional (Brazil)**

**Demba Ba: Ed002's Note - I would be surprised by Ba. Could be used in a player plus cash exchange for Carroll.**

**Kalou: Joined Lille.**

Josep Ilicic: Ed002's Note - Possibly. Both Milan clubs and Juventus have an interest in Ilicic but Inter are favourites if he does come up for sale this summer, which I doubt. England seems a unlikely destination although Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa have looked at the player in the past.

Susaeta: Ed002's Note - Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris St Germain have shown at least some level of interest in Athletic Bilbao's Markel Susaeta in the past few months

Llorente: Ed002's Note - Fernando Llorente is interesting Spurs, PSG and Manchester City with rumours of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United as well. Barcelona are considering their future options which may involve a move for the player.

Jackson Martinez: Ed002's Note - He is going to join Porto.

Adam Johnson: Ed005's Note - I think Adam Johnson has the ability to be a great winger just his off the field problems and his apparant attitude are a problem¦ I think if A.Johnson becomes available we'll be interested but personally I can't see us dishing out £20m for Johnson / Ed002's Note - I would have thought that at the right price Liverpool may be interested - but I don't know whether Liverpool under Rodgers would make a move or not.

**Victor Moses: - Ed002's Note - It was suggested by Moses last week that both Chelsea (who had a derisory bid rejected) and Liverpool had interest in him and he wanted to understand what offers were on the table. Chelsea look best placed to sign Moses**

**Javi Martinez: Ed002's Note - I would not expect either to be at Anfield next season. I could see Martinez playing for Manchester City. Barcelona are looking at him for defensive cover and a possible future replacement for Puyol.**

Muniain: Ed002's Note “ Interest shown in the Dalglish era. A move to Barcelona is a possibility.

Afellay: Ed002's Note - Afellay has been out injured pretty much all of this season and I think future chances at Barcelona may be limited but the kid is keen to stay and Barcelona seem keen to have him as a squad player. However, I think it is still possible that he will be available in the summer and that Barcelona would listen to offers. Italy looks like one option available to him if he is sold and there may be interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle.}

Marco Reus: Ed029's Note - He's signed for Borussia Dortmund.

Schurrle: Bayer Leverkusen may be willing to sell Schurrle if the player wishes to leave. There has been interest from Chelsea for about a year and following the departure of Kalou it is certainly possible they may now push for the player. There is unsubstaniated interest from Inter as well.

**Borini: Joined Liverpool**

**Dempsey: Ed002's Note - As has been said before, there could be interest at the right price. Confirmed interest from Liverpool via Rodgers interview.**

Rondon: Ed022's Note - I was personally unaware of any interest in Rondon, however other Editors have assured me that there is interest. Not sure that I believe it though to be honest, and sure enough speculation has died down now as you rightly said.

Matt Philips: Ed002's Note - Eds 1 and 3 see Phillips as very much one for the near future but personally I know little of him.

Jovetic: Ed016's Note - I believe it is just a Twitter rumour. Unfortunately that leads me to believe that it is just a recycled rumour from way back when Rafa was in charge and he was interested in him / Ed002's Note - Arsenal, Roma and Spurs did show previous interest in Jovetic, but Chelsea and Napoli remain interested if the price is acceptable.

**Elia: Joined Werder Bremen.**

Krasic: Ed002's Note - Juventus will be open to offers for Krasic and Joksimovic has been trying to get as many clubs as possible interested including Lazio, Liverpool and Spurs - and he has had success with all three showing interest. Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, West Ham, Villarreal, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, Fenerbahce and Anzhi Makhachkala have a confirmed interest in the player although I suspect Dortmund will drop their interest. Marseille would take him on loan but I doubt that would suit Juventus. Liverpool, Lazio and Fenerbahce strike me as the most likely destinations for him right now but perhaps by tomorrow it will be Zenit best placed.

Vargas: Ed002's Note - Fiorentina accept he will leave. Liverpool, Malaga, Inter Milan, Napoli, Roma, Arsenal, Manchester City, Benfica, Bayern Munich and Zenit St Petersburg have shown an interest in the past but at 28 and with a now well documented weight issue, he may not be the easiest to sell. Liverpool, Malaga and Roma maintain an interest and I would not be surprised if there is interest from Turkey and Russia

John Guidett: Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, City are not even considering letting him go anywhere, except on loan.

Cavani: Ed002's Note - You may need to save up a bit to attract Cavani to Liverpool.

Matuidi: Ed029's Note - Blaise Matuidi is a good DM and has been linked in the past

**Luuk De Jong: Joined Borussia Monchengladbach.**

Moutinho: Ed002's Note - I don't know of any confirmed interest from Liverpool. Rumours persist of Moutinho moving to Chelsea if they would pay the 30M euros required but realistically it is unlikely to happen. If AVB takes the Spurs job and they lose Modric, I would expect that they will look to Moutinho.

Moussa Sissoko: Ed002's Note - Toulouse are not aware of interest from Liverpool right now. Right now I would have to say Roma are most likely to get their man this summer.

Daniel Sturridge: Ed002's Note - If Liverpool were to make an offer that is acceptable to Chelsea then Chelsea would not stand in his way if he wanted to move. Whilst I am sure that a financial package acceptable to the player could be put together he will also look to commitments that he would be primarily be used in a central role. If Liverpool could do that I am sure a deal would be possible.

**Higuain: Ed002's Note “ Will not be joining Liverpool.**

** M'Baye Niang: Ed002's Note - M'Baye Niang is still a 17 year old with difficulties remaining over his contract. He could not move outside of France without a parent or guardian moving with him until he is 18 under the new rules as he still counts as a "child". Perhaps one for the future. In the unlikely event he leaves France I suspect it will be to Italy although there is interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.**

** Leandro Damiao: Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. January 2013 may be a more likely time to move than the summer although with rejected bids from Spurs and PSG on the table, Roma or Juventus may force a summer move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now. So now acceptable bids but perhaps a flurry of activity will happen.**

** Huntelaar: {d002's Note - None from Liverpool that we are aware of, but I understand he is open to considering any offers made to Schalke, but they certainly do not want to sell.**

** Erikkson: Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. Back in mid July someone from the Milan Press Office said he had heard of interest from Manchester United - but I am not aware of any confirmation of that interest. I doubt that January is an option for a move to Liverpool, but perhaps the summer. The player has expressed an interest to move to Spain.**

**Goetze: Ed002's Note - Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona have already been knocked back by his club and Goetze himself has made it abundantly clear that he wants to stay at Dortmund for this season, although no doubt a very significant offer would be listened to. Real Madrid may be able to persuade him to move. He has identified his favourite teams as Barcelona and Arsenal. There is also interest also from AC Milan - and I suspect that they are shifting their interest in Ganso or Fernando to Goetze due to persisting non-EU quota issues. There may be some, so far unpublisized, interest from elsewhere announced soon.**

**Lucas Moura: Ed002's Note - If Lucas Moura becomes available I suspect he will end up in Italy. Lucas was enquired about by Liverpool (amongst numerous teams) in the summer and the quoted price was $130M. He may eventually be sold for much less but way more than any English side will pay for an unproven teenager - with figures around 35M euros being suggested. There is, in my view, no chance of him moving to England or to Liverpool in the short term. If pushed, Roma or one of the Milan clubs could attract him away from his other option - a move to Portugal with perhaps third party ownership. However, I doubt he will leave Brazil for perhaps a year or two.**

**Coutinho: Ed002's Note - Inter offered to loan Coutinho to Bologna as part of a deal for Gaston Ramirez that fell though. I don't think they want to sell but may consider a loan and I suspect they will listen to decent offers. Coutinho would need a work permit so any move would not be easy. A possibility for Liverpool at some point.**

**James Mccarthy: Ed002's Note - I am sure Wigan would be willing to let James McCarthy move on if the right offer was made and Liverpool have previously shown an interest. Clubs enquiring in the summer baulked at the £20M price tag.**

**Esteban Granero: Ed002's Note - Surplus to requirements in Madrid, could interest any number of clubs and may be used as a makeweight in a transfer. Only solid interest at this time has been from Blackburn Rovers and Sevilla but unsubstantiated rumours have linked him to Liverpool and Espanyol as well.**

**Griezmann: Ed002's Note - I really don't know of any serious interest from Liverpool in Griezmann, but he has been watched. Players are watched all of time by scouts representing the likes of Liverpool and more often than not rumours begin when a scout has attended a game and is doing no more than taking a look at one or two players. Valencia, Marseille and Lyon have shown some confirmed interest in the past and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time. The only club that made serious enquiries in the summer were Athletico Madrid and we are aware that such a move would have been acceptable to the player.**

**Strootman: Ed002's Note - Kevin Strootman maybe possible for Liverpool. Plenty of interest from other clubs. Perhaps one for the future.**

**Mirallas: Ed002's Note - Lille, Toulouse and, in particular, Werder Bremen have been showing an interest in Mirallas after a move to Bayern Munich failed to materialise. Unconfirmed reports identify interest from Arsenal and Liverpool. Would be a decent addition to the squad.**

**Carlos Eduardo: Ed001's Note - I don't know of any interest in him from us.**

**Van Persie: Ed002's Note - I really don't see any chance of RvP moving to Liverpool this summer.**

**Sinclair: Ed002's Note - I postualated that you may see interest in Sinclair after the Olympics**

**Joe Allan: Ed002's “ There is interest in Allen from Liverpool.**

**Matias Suarez: Ed002's Note - Liverpool along with Bayern Munich, PSG, Zenit, Arsenal, Newscastle, Lazio and Juventus have shown an interest in Matias Suarez who has already rejected approaches from CSKA Moscow and Galatasaray. He will need a work permit and not playing for the national team is a major issue against it happening. Claiming on an exception basis will also be difficult for someone of his age. His other option would be to seek a Belgian passport and stay a while longer there. Otherwise, he can move freely to other European countries.**

**Papa Cisse: Ed001's Note - Newcastle would not be interested in losing him.**

**Tello: Ed002's Note - I don't see Tello making a move this summer.**

**Honda: We had a chance in January 2011 but passed mate. In all honesty can't see it happening. CSKA won't want to sell mid-season.**

**Doumbia: Ed002's Note - There was an enquiry from Newcastle and a failed offer from Lazio in January for Doumbia. Other clubs have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any serious enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player as there is no pressure to sell. Napoli, Roma and Arsenal are interested in the player but have yet to make any financial proposal and rumours persist of interest from Chelsea and Spurs. Someone putting a bid on the table will make this much more high profile - and it could be one that drags on all summer.**

**Grosskreutz: Ed022's Note - No idea mate, although I've heard the rumours. Personally I think it's BS.**

Skrtel: Ed002's Note - If Skrtel leaves consideration has to be given to the likes of Coates, Kelly and Wilson, but I suspect another centre back will be sought.

Aquilani: Ed002's Note - Liverpool will look to unload Aquilani.

Agger: Ed049's Note - lose who? If you mean Agger, I believe he wont be going anywhere.

**Maxi: Joined Newell Old Boys.**

Pacheco: Ed002's Note - I still expect Pacheco to possibly leave.

Cole: Ed002's Note - Joe Cole will be subject to discussion and we will see what interest is shown.

Suarez: Ed022's Note - Right let me clear this up. Ed005 was saying that Ed002 never said that Suarez was DEFINITELY leaving. Ed002 stated that there was a chance that Suarez may depart this summer, and stated the reasons why. Now, this has been covered so damn much that it's getting to the stage where we as editors are contemplating ignoring all Suarez questions due to the levels of abuse we are receiving over it. It's utterly disgraceful how some posters treat us Editors, and if we went one day of posting all the abuse you'd realise that we need to have the patience of Moses. BR did an interview saying that Suarez wasn't leaving, so that MUST mean that Suarez is staying right? If that's the case, I'd advise all of you to stop posting about Suarez, and to not ask our opinion on Suarez. That way, everyone wins.

anyone missed please leave a comment with names and iam sure Curtis will add them next round up.

P.S Curtis i did upload on friday morning but the post seemed to have been deleted. Trolls be trolling lol
