Liverpool fans. .
After Monday nights game a few things where going through my head but not all where about the proformance but mostly about the take-over situation. I have not posted for a while but read most days. Ok so the first thing that went through my head was has there been any real bids? I don't know? But what struck me as coincidence is that one mentioned in the past has been none other than the citeh owners relative has it not? That led me to think why on earth did citeh owners choose last nights game as their first game to attend? Strange?

Ok heres an idea - how about we don't get this bryan ruiz everyone is talking about - in my opinion people who nowone has ever heard of who have one good season usually dissapear anyway i.e. lavezzi. anyway sevilla want ruiz but only if they can sell fabiano first (hmm a most likley less expensive proven goalscorer who is world class) SO BUY LUIS FABIANO! ! would only cost about 10m.
To fill our left-back issue - what about daniel pranjic - struggling for games @ bayern and would probabley come as cheap as 5m.
It has become very apparent we need wingers - yes mr hodgson that means real wingers not former strikers who benitez likes playing out of position. I reccomend Arda Turan (who like pranjic has stated we are his dream club) and juan mata who would cost 15m and maxi rodriguez (worth the sacrifice me thinks)
Lastly since we have let aquilaini leave on loan we should get in van der vaart who is surplas to requirements @ madrid on loan initially and his buddy gago, who is also surplas and would cost around 8m

Liverpool getting Banega?
Would be a great signing to control the midfield.
If we got Banega and Ruiz and another striker, I think we'll be set playing with Cole and Gerrard and Torres and possibly a great striker. Its a realistic deal and could easily happen, Banega and Ruiz have been heavily linked and so have many strikers. Just need to get them ASAP. 1 Week left. After city's game, I was dissapointed with Ngog and Lucas, personally I don't think they're fit for Liverpool, I mean yeah, Ngog gets into get posistions but everytime he gets the ball, he tends to loose it.
Ruiz is a very skilful and fast player and a player Liverpool lacks. Banega is strong in defense and is like Alonso, he can produce great balls and good quality play. Roy is offering Mascherano and 10m for the lad. And Ruiz is around 14m?
Get these three transfers and I'll be very happy, they're realistic signing and just need to happen.

As he was at the chelsea vs wigan game the other night i thought he was watching someone don't know who though (nzogbia? figuroa?) so was he arriving to make a deal? If there is any reason why it couldnt be him then feel free to bring it up like i said i just "thought" i saw him."

Liverpool eyeing cheeky loan swoop for Bayern Munich £30m striker Mario Gomez
Liverpool have made an inquiry for Bayern Munich's £30million-rated striker Mario Gomez.
Sources in Germany last night revealed that the Anfield side had asked to take the 25-year-old on a season-long loan but his wages of £125,000 a week are a huge stumbling block.
Gomez, the most expensive player in German football, was expected to join Real Madrid before the end of the window but the deal looks to have been shelved by the Spanish giants until next summer.
Gomez finds himself fourth choice behind Ivica Olic, Thomas Muller and Miroslav Klose - who has been the subject of interest from Besiktas.
Yet Gomez said: 'I have made my position clear - there will be no transfer.
'I want to convince the coach that he will soon field me in his starting XI. Hard work will be rewarded, I am sure about that.'
Liverpool want a striker to take the burden off Fernando Torres's shoulders.
They have been rebuffed in their efforts to sign PSV Eindhoven's Ola Toivonen but may return once Javier Mascherano's transfer to Barcelona goes through.
They are desperate to sign a left-back but are also considering deals for Lille utility player Mathieu Debuchy and Real Madrid's Mahamadou Diarra.
Juventus, meanwhile, are interested in Sotirios Kyrgiakos.

If there is a Liverpool press conference on Friday, im pretty sure it won't be Roy in attendance unless he is planning to fly all the way back from Turkey for a news conference about the West Brom game or something else? I have a feeling if there is one, Broughton and Purslow will be in attendance reassuring us Liverpool fans that they are trying to find the best buyers for the club and they are in talks with a few parties. Or hopefully announcing a new signing or something , but that is just wishful thinking , preferably a left-back.

if an offer for liverpool is accepted we won't have the investment as the 10 days needed for the premier league to asses the bid would take us into september. so everyone needs to chill out we all new it was going to be a tough season, we just have to keep behind the team and show were the best fans in the world. the good days will return but not this season im afraid :( must be said i would just like every one else like to see the club bought, and end all speculation and distraction offthe pitch around the club so that the players and coaching staff can simply concentrate on football.

Barcelona prepare improved bid for Liverpool's Javier Mascherano

Barcelona were tonight preparing a renewed bid for Javier Mascherano after the coach Pep Guardiola admitted that he wanted to sign a defensive midfielder. The comment comes in light of Mascherano's refusal to play for Liverpool at Manchester City .
Barcelona's initial bid of €15m (£12.3m) with €5m more in add-ons was rejected by Liverpool. The Anfield club are understood to be holding out for a fee closer to €26m. That is a valuation Barcelona are reluctant to match but they remain hopeful of concluding a deal by offering players in return, and because of the determination of Mascherano who has made his position abundantly clear to leave.
Although Guardiola refused to name the Argentinian directly, he did admit: "If a defensive midfielder arrives the needs of the team will be resolved. If one arrives I will be satisfied. I will only speak about [Mascherano] when he's here, if he comes."
Barcelona believe that is likely despite the fact that they are not in the best of financial health. The signing of David Villa for €40m was carried out by the former president Joan Laporta, amid criticism from the new president Sandro Rosell at what he described as the club's "stratospheric" debt – which he calculated at more than €400m.
Rosell's first act when he was elected in July was to seek a bank loan for €150m to cover players' salaries. He also admitted defeat in the pursuit of Arsenal's Cesc Fábregas, unable to offer a fee much in excess of €40m, and forced through the sale of Dimitro Chygrynskiy, even though Guardiola wanted to keep him.
Barcelona are prepared to offer Liverpool Alexander Hleb and Martin Cáceres in part exchange, to increase the bid beyond the current €20m. Pressure is building on the new president and sporting director from Guardiola to get the deal done.
Politically, they cannot be seen to have failed to provide reinforcements. Barcelona also believe they have a huge advantage because of Mascherano's willingness to fight for a move. Their hand is stronger, certainly, than during the attempts to sign Fábregas, when their bullish confidence, both from the former regime and the current one, turned out to be misplaced. arcelona did not count on such stubborn resistance from Arsène Wenger and could not raise sufficient funds to persuade Arsenal to sell and although Fabregas told the Arsenal manager that he wanted to leave, he was unprepared to publicly rebel.
Mascherano has asked not to play for Liverpool, while his agent has openly spoken about his desire to depart England for Spain.Some are criticising the club for letting Yaya Touré go and effectively replacing him with the same type of player for much the same price. Touré fetched E28, £24m. In total, the fee for Mascherano looks like settling at a similar level.
The situation, though, has changed: when Barcelona sold Touré, the Ivorian's agent had repeatedly spoken out in public about his client's dissatisfaction at being a substituted and contract renewal talks had also stalled. Barcelona also sold him in the hope of raising the funds for a bid for Fabregas.
Having failed to secure the Arsenal captain they now have a vacant slot in central midfield that Guardiola believes has to be filled.
Barcelona may have one problem, though, with sources suggesting that a late bid from Internazionale should not be ruled out.

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has confessed his club are looking for a deep lying midfielder. His comments come just a day after the Spanish champions made an offer for Argentine international Javier Mascherano. "If a defensive midfielder arrives the needs of the team will be resolved. If one arrives I will be satisfied, " Guardiola said without mentioning Mascherano though he did imply the Liverpool man was a target adding. "You'll have to ask [Andoni] Zubizarreta [Barca's sporting director]. I will only speak about [Mascherano] when he's here, if he comes."
Meanwhile Roy Hodgson was less circumspect after the Reds' defeat by Manchester City on Monday evening. "Javier Mascherano is not in the right frame of mind at the moment to play the game because his head has been turned by the offer from Barcelona, " he said. "The fee that the club thinks is the correct fee and one that has been offered are very far apart and unless that can be resolved he might be unhappy for a long time." When questioned about the possible process and timetable for a deal Hodgson was keen not to expand. He added: "I'm not going to get involved in that. The discussions between the club and Barcelona are being held at high club level. As a result I don't really want to start speaking and saying things that may or may not be true. "The danger of those questions is that I could give you an answer and if my answer is not 100% correct then all of a sudden I'm creating headlines. I have no wish to create headlines over the Mascherano situation. "It's not the first time these things happen and there are a lot of clubs at the moment suffering from their players being courted by other clubs and players therefore being unhappy and required to fulfil their contracts."This has developed over the last few days. I haven't heard about the situation for the last two or three days."

Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is in the sights of Liverpool.
The Daily Mail says Liverpool are weighing up a free transfer move for Diarra should they sell Javier Mascherano to Barcelona.
The powerful 29-year-old is one of four players earmarked for sale by Jose Mourinho and Real had slapped a £6m price tag on him. However, it is understood they will now allow him to leave on a free transfer for the right club.
Agent Frederic Guerra said: "Mahamadou is still a top player and he can do a great job in the Premier League. There is a lot of interest."
Manchester United and Blackburn have also been credited with interest but Liverpool would be his preferred option.

Wikipedia has Mathieu Debuchy down as a midfielder (deep-lying playmaker)/ right back. Mahamadou Diarra has a £6 million price tag not the overpriced tag some have mentioned. I'd take the Barca offer that includes Hleb. At least that would give plenty of cover and competition for places. Too many forwards and left backs linked at the min it could be anyone, David Trezeguet did'nt play much of last season and neither did Roque Santa Cruz but at the right price/ loan both would score goals if fit.

Seriously lucas aint good enough he is a mid table player for a mid table team, and im begining to c the same with kuyt i think we should cash in on both, for me poulson wasnt needed! we have got good young midfielders in the squad with spearing and shelvey give them a chance and should of put the money towards a striker , for me someone like doyle a commited and good finisher or even a go at getting jerome from brum, would not cost that much and always good playesr to have on the bench, instead of having poulson or 2-3 defenders on the subs, cmon roy get rid of the dead wood ! !

Madrid were originally looking 6m for the midfielder but are now willing to let him go on a free transfer. Expect this signing to be announced later in the week.

Last nites performance has shown us we need 4/ 5 new players in the first 11. lucas, ngog and babel are not good enough for liverpool.thats not just cos of last nite.they have never been good enough.should get about 18m.
jovanovic should only be used as cover for a decent left winger-ashley young 18m.

I'm afraid I think it's going to be trezeguet, salcido and possibly diarra from real this week. I know funds are sparce, but we should be after young players who can make impact with lots of pace and a cutting edge we've missed. Plus we could make profit on young players coming in. If we sign the players I've mentioned, they're getting on a bit, no pace and past it. I imagine we'll pay £3 for salcido and get trezeguet and diarra on loan, so not bad business.

Liverpool and Barcelona are close to agreeing on a fee for Javier Mascherano. They are around 3million away from a deal to take the whining Argentine to the Nou camp (Good riddance aswell). Inter Milan are going to offer Liverpool a selection of players for Dirk Kuyt. Victor Obinna, Nicolas Burdisso, Sulley Muntari and David Suazo are just some player being offered in exchanged for Kuyt with the fees ranging from 3-8 million depending on which player if any Liverpool choose. Soto and Insua are interesting Juventus. They have heard of Liverpool's interest in Trezeguet and are willing to let him leave for Soto and Insua in exchange. As for in's, Mathieu Debuchy is the latest player Roy is looking at to replace Mascherano. He is also a right-back and would provide good competition for Johnson. I love our great club and it pain's me to say it but I feel we won't win anything again until Roy realises that playing Lucas & Kuyt in the same team just doesn't work. Both don't have the speed or ability to perform at the pace of the premier league! If Inter want Kuyt let him go as long as they pay at least £10 million he works hard but surly that should be the minimum a footballer gives?

The mash deal won't go through till jan, we will get around 14 mil, Salcido the only player who will sign before deadline day. no sale of the club looks likely in the near future, yanks trying to push it through because they will default on loans if its not done by october. looks like a struggle for europa league again.

Just heard Graham Hunter on talksport saying that Liverpool are probably going to get around £20M for Mascherano and are looking at M Diarra (Real Madrid) as a replacement for around £10M.
I reckon that'd be a really good bit of business. I think that would still leave around £12-15M to spend, so maybe we could get Toivonen.

What did we learn from last night.
The obvious? - We need a decent LB?! FAST!
Temporary solution - PSV SALICIDO !
If an Italian team wants LUCAS (good squad player) but not a first team player . Let him go !

If lfc has been bought we should sell kuyt, mashc, lucas, rodreguiz
and buy 4 top class player and a couple of back ups.
i would recomend
for kuyt (10mil) - aguero (25-30mil)
mashc (25mil) - ever banega (15mil)
lucas (7mil) - any descent midfielder
rodreguiz (6mil) - either ashley young or aaron lennon or SWP or milner! !

Dont think we need to panic about todays result. No masch, no cole, out of sorts torres. it wasnt our strongest 11 and it was a flat performance. that being said i do feel we need to buy and we need to make a few good quality signings before the transfer window shuts. Ruiz, toivonen, defour, salcido would all b quality additions to the squad. I also don't see why we don't take a look at swapping masch plus money ibrahimovic. .him with torres is easily the deadliest partnership in the world. I think the arda turan move will happen when we can acquire him on a free. As of now tho we really need to bring in maybe 3 quality players, just to breathe some life into the squad

Hey guys ive heard a rumour that the club has already been sold and the big give away is work has recommenced on the new stadium (i don't believe it but has any1 else heard this?)!
If the club has been sold then don't expect any signings until January cause it will take a while for the finances to be put into place! Torres and Gerrard know this!
i do think it will be a very difficult season and its def time for Lucas (the adopted Brazilian) to leave!
