Udinese defender Mauricio Isla admits he plans to leave in the summer.

Isla has talked up the prospect of joining Manchester United, while he is also wanted by Liverpool.

The Chile international said: "I talked to the president and he is committed to my sale in June. The most important thing is for me to recover from my injury and return to the same form I have been showing."

Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is expected to join AC Milan on a Bosman.

The Italy international comes off contract in June.

Lady Radio says the 31-times capped midfielder has finalised negotiations with the Rossoneri on a �2.5m-a-season, four-year contract, with the option for a fifth also available.

This ones now put to bed.

Iker Muniain gets a Spanish NT call up ahead of Torres and Pedro! Do Liverpool have any interest in him? {Ed002's Note - Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros. They won't get it. I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has shown himself to be pretty immature. Roma interest is still there but perhaps an eventual move to Barcelona beckons.}

Hey Ed, I know we're looking at Isla and you seem positive it's a replacement for Johnson. I don't rate Johnson as a defender and think that shipping him off would be a good thing for the club, but we really don't need to replace him. Kelly's proven time and time again that he's a quality right-back and Flano has proven he's definitely a sound back-up, is it possible Isla could be signed for a different position? He is quite versatile and can play centre-mid and right mid, possibly a replacement for Kuyt? I know I'm clutching at straws but I see it as a waste of money, a risk that we don't really need to take. {Ed002's Note - If the club are looking to buy Isla to replace Kuyt then you do have cause to worry.}

Sorry ed dont want to sound dumb but why would him being a replacement for kuyt a cause for worry. i thought he was a very decent player, accomplished going forward and defending and can whip crosses in. am i missing the point here? cheers {Ed002's Note - Why would anyone buy a player who is a right back/win back to replace a centre forward or wide right forward? It makes no sense.}

We will need a replacement. Next season we should have euro football and 3 domestic comps.

Ed do Liverpool really need a new RB even if Johnson leaves? I think Kelly's pretty decent, and Robinson or Flanagon (Can't remember which) can cover, or a random free agent floating around in the the summer for back up?

Also, what was that talk with the 17yr old Welsh and 22yr old norwegian(?) goalkeepers? {Ed002's Note - Clearly the management think the club do need one. I understand it seems to be a bit of a poke in teh eye for teh youngsters. As for the goalkeeps, I cannot answer about the kid but recalled he joined. Kristoffer Nordfeldt was expected to join at the start of February but it has gone quiet. He is a free agent so there is no rush.}
