Ed2 you mentioned interest in coutinho from a couple of clubs and the fact he would like a move, if no champions league. My question is due too his inconsistant form, would that not put the big boys off.

{Ed002's Note - One club and I expect they will mo0ve on by the summer. He did indeed tell three chums he would leave if no CL - but that predates Klipperty.}

I wonder if signing Teixera would bring out the best in him.

Or replace him.

I suspect as Ed001 has said, Teixeira, who is friends with Coutinho, may help keep him around. Just as the Klopp factor would likely as well.

Coutinho is going nowhere.

The comments where made with Rodgers in charge so the lad was making his excuses to leave.

Pre-Klipperty that's hardly surprising, but not going to happen now.
Now we're going to form a devastating, fluid, interchanging attack with our trio of Brazilians for years to come.
Then, Couthinho's son and Teixeira's daughter will get married and a whole dynasty of Samba-skilled Liverpool players and fans will be created. For many generations to come.
Hmm, perhaps there was a little something extra in my coffee this morning. :)

I realise were doing our Brazilian big brother Lucas a disservice by not including him, its the Brazilian samba quartet. If we bought a crazy Brazilian GK at least we could have a giggle when were conceding goals as well ;)

With no Champions League next season, the only way I see Coutinho staying is if no club makes an acceptable offer, irrespective of the presence of Klopp or Alex Teixeira. He's too good a player to have played in the CL just 1 year out of the last 5, even accounting for the fact he's only 23.

So if we want to keep Coutinho, we realistically have to win the Europa League and qualify for the CL that way.

Hey ed - any chance for one of you famous detailed transfer summary updates? If you are not too busy, of course!

Duly noted, ed!

Hi ed's
Is there any interest in Mario Suarez are we looking to sign him

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - I am aware that Mario Suarez wants a move from Fiorentina due to lack of playing time and I understand he is attracted by English wages. Southampton, Leicester, Stoke, Marseille, Sevilla and Braga are cited as being interested but it is Watford who have offered a loan to buy deal that may well be viable. A January move is certainly possible.}

24 Jan 2016 16:52:47
He was very good when he was in athletico. I hope we wait till next season and sign Alonso anyways Thanks Ed's for the reply.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool won't be signing Xabi Alonso if that is who you are referring to.}

Hi eds and great work on the site!

I love it!

I was wondering if you know of any interest from other clubs about any Liverpool player?

Do you think anyone will leave us this Januari?

Cheers!

1301and.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - There has been interest in taking players on loan - Allan and Allen. There was interest in Sakho but that has gone has his performances have dropped away. There has been interest in Sinclair and he might well go - but he will by now thinking about signing on fees so whether or not something can happen in the coming days is to be seen. Given the vastly bloated first team squad the club need to look for sales or loans if they can.}

Hi eds by any chance do you know of any prem teams that have looked at judge of Brentford . I know Burnley were after him but he seems a decent player maybe a decent buy for a small fee.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - Liverpool have not shown any interest.}

24 Jan 2016 15:44:47
I wasn't implying we were after him but was curious if any other premium teams wer . He could turn out to be a good buy for someone . As you know every now and again a team buys a lower league player and turns them into a superstar as the Liverpool of old did.

{Ed001's Note - this is the Liverpool page.}

I expect a lot of abuse for this, but teixeira has liked three posts on Instagram, including one of him in a Liverpool shirt and one of him firmino and coutinho as a potential Brazilian attack. I know this is nothingness, but in my eyes he's either keen for it to happen or is just playing around. If it was just liking a picture of coutinho and firmino I wouldn't think twice, but just maybe!

Based on what has been said on here sounds like Teixera isn't the issue, the club won't sell for what we're offering.

Afternoon Eds hope all is well with all of you? Sorry if been answered before but not had a phone for a while and it has been bliss (got tired of using it at work on building site as a walkie talkie so threw it off scaffold because I had a barmy with one of the bosses) Anyway I've been hearing about kasper been mentioned a bit and I thought we were seriously interested in ter stegen even though mignolet has signed new contract. Can anyone tell me if this is all rubbish or not please?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Leicester are aware that there has always been interest in goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and have brushed away enquiries from Milan, Southampton, Newcastle, Olympiakos and Arsenal in the past couple of years. Claudio Ranieri know knows that the kids father has an idea where he could play in the future and he is one of three goalkeepers that Manchester United has been looking at for the summer. Leicester would certainly no be interested in selling in January. I am not aware of interest being declared by Liverpool at this time.}

25 Jan 2016 21:34:34
Out of interest how seriously should we be taking mention of keepers with Mignolet signing new contract and Klopp going out of his way to support him?

(As an aside, if we're looking at keepers to sign would have thought the younger and as good Butland would be better purchase) .

Morning Eds. Have Liverpool opened talks with FC Lorient regarding the transfer of their Left Back Raphaël Guerreiro? Thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - The interest is certainly there from Liverpool in the Lorient left-back. Raphael Guerreiro has been of previous interest to Newcastle, Milan, Arsenal, PSG, Manchester City and Sampdoria. Marseille, Liverpool, Sunderland and Swansea have had watched the player this season - whilst an Arsenal scout says they may look again. Liverpool interest would certainly come to the fore if Moreno were to leave and I do expect Liverpool's interest to carry on.}

24 Jan 2016 12:16:21
The question is who would be coming in for Moreno? The big Spanish teams seem unlikely and transfer fees paid outside the top four out there are so small you can't see him going anywhere right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jan 2016 13:33:36
Den82, are only Spanish teams allowed to sign Spanish players now? If he was sold I think their would be plenty of interest in England and Spain. He's a good left back. Just not good enough for a team with title aspirations. Too error prone. Would not surprise me at all to see Stoke or Newcastle come in for him.

Raphael Guerrero is a very good LB, IMO and he is defo one to watch.

Agree0 Disagree3

24 Jan 2016 16:55:34
EMS
Is he or isn't he a decent LB. Your post makes no sense at all. Make up your mind I am getting a bit fed up with your constant indecision.

Agree2 Disagree5

25 Jan 2016 11:31:59
couldn, t agree more with patemondo re EMS comments on Moreno. Error prone, not good enough for trophy seeking team, what makes him good. Sorry EMS like a lot of your posts and contribution to site, but if turn of pace is only attribute Liverpool harriers have some good youg sprinters.

24 Jan 2016 08:27:30
Apparently kasper schemeichal is of interest to us, with Liverpool being interested in Texeira and Praet, do you see any of these moving to us in January?

If not either of these two, any one else? If so could you enlighten me please

Thanks Eds.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - never heard of any interest in Schmeichel for us that had substance. This has been rumoured since he was a kid at Man City. We did have scouts at the Leicester game yesterday, but I believe that was because we play them soon, not to look at any players.}

24 Jan 2016 09:14:44
Don't rate Schmeichel and at 29 he is not going to get better than he is. Cech at 29, yes as he's a proper world class keeper who rarely makes mistakes. Schmeichel, no an average keeper having one good season. Would be a really poor move it we went for him.

Hi eds, u mean scouts do opp analysis rather than spot talents?

{Ed001's Note - they do both. Or some do anyway.}
