Joey Barton to be brought in as a mentor and role model for Spearing, Carroll, and Shelvey

and what, beat them up if they step out of line?

I've been told Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey is likely to be our top target if Pepe leaves in the summer. Club would hope to bank 10m on keeper transactions to strengthen other areas.

Also had it on good authority that there are foreign clubs sniffing around Lucas and that his sale would allow us to get M'Vila. He's been well scouted but not seen as a priority unless Lucas is sold.

The Wickham rumours are gaining pace because we may be able to offset the 10m price tag by getting 6m for Ngog - a couple of Prem clubs interested but both currently fighting relegation so by no means certain they would follow up their interest. If we sign Wickham he could be loaned straight back to our old mate Paul Jewell for 6 months.

I only copied that list from Tommo86 with 18 names, in which Ed002 said its a wishlist. . the rest is my own info. Believe who you want but he has no mention of Benzema and he thinks Reina will leave, I dont.

So you have no credibility at all. I am surprised you could bring yourself to come back on after being caught out.

GK: Wayne Hennessey as back up. Neuer if Pepe leaves though there is a lot of top quality alternatives out there who may well be available.
CB: No buy necessary in my opinion, play Wilson/ Ayala more though if one of our current CB leaves e.g. Kyriagos, but a younger, promising replacement.
LB: Baines. The fact that he plays for Everton is fairly irrelevant in my opinion seen as though apparently he is a Liverpool fan and look at the numerous transfer deals between rival clubs. And at the end of the day, Everton aren't really our direct rivals and they don't look like going anywhere anytime soon.
CM: M'Vila and Sissokho/ Adam.
L/ RW: Matt Jarvis, Adam Johnson. PACE AND WIDTH! Also, young and English. Also possibly Marveaux.
ST: Gervinho/ Benzema/ Llorente/ Gomez. 1-2 of these KK aims to have 4 quality strikers all pushing for a starting place. We would have options for formations and apporach and a squad to challenge for the title and trophies. As Champions League is not going to be available and the Europa League is neither here nor there Iwould like to see us win the FA cup as well, Or at least field a strong side.

Charlie Adam is 90% certain to join Liverpool in the summer. He will be the replacement for Christian Poulson who will certainly be leaving for as little as £1mil. The proposed Benzema deal is dead due to his reurn to form, Liverpool were hopeful for a cut price £18mil deal but Real will now demand the £30mil+ they paid for him. Although Fernando Gago and Lassana Diarra are possible targets for under £10mil. Bojan Krkic is available to anyone who can offer £22mil, although Liverpool are pondering a move for Daniel Sturridge who will cost about half that. Damien Commoli is a smart man with an eye for talent, don't be suprised to see a few curve balls in the summer!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I think your spot on there mate. I like the idea of Gago or Diarra coming in, preferably Diarra due to his EPL experience. Also I think getting Sturridge in, which would be cheap, is a steal!

24 Mar 2011 20:08:13
4 wingers to arrive
Young 16m
Jarvis 8m
Albrighton 10m
Carzola 14m

24 Mar 2011 20:05:15
I would just like to explain a few things regarding the transfers of liverpool for the summer:
a CB will not be bought, kenny will use kelly as a CB with johnson moving to RB and carra taking up a scholes/ giggs role. a left back will be bought, Bains being the one wanted and kenny is willing to pay upto 14m for him. 3 wingers will be signed. Young will be signed for the right for about 16m and Mata for the left for around 20m. the third winger will be a cheap backup, someone who can play on both flanks just incase one of the first team wingers get injured, hence the interest in Jarvis who would cost around 8m. Adam will be signed for about 8m and so will Lass diarra for 14m. Forget about the benzema rumour, Real would expect around 30m even before they start to consider a sale. The striker that will arrive is one of Bojan (15m) Struidge (10m) or Wolswinkel (8m). players going out will be as follows: poulson, insua, maxi, ngog, degen, soto, lucas and aquillani which will recruit around 30m

24 Mar 2011 19:38:08
Cahill
Adam
Young
Johnson
Baines
Benzema
Sissoko

will be signed.

24 Mar 2011 17:56:13
Affelay would be a fantastic signing for us.His understanding with Suarez would be a plus for his intergration with the team.He is quick and as a eye for goal.Him, Gago and a quality left back, would be my choices. add Adam and a back up striker and we would have a squad that should challenge for honours next season. Ayala, Kelly, Wilson and Flanagan, are capable of making the next step and challenge the old guard Carra and Greek for a starting place.

I was just about to say that if the Unknown is not Tommo off RAWk, he is just literally copying and pasting Tommo's posts from there.

Anyway, I have heard that Young is a done deal, and the stuff about him wanting to stay at Villa to score their 1000th goal is just a PR exercise.

Also, the Leighton Baines rumour is gathering pace big time!

{Ed002's Note - Yep, it seems Unknown has been well and truly busted.}

Ed, two points, firstly I do think we have a chance with hazard as many people on twitter who were right with carrol and suarez say we are very interested and also if he does leave he doesn't have many option, arsenal never pay that sought of money and he won't start for real madrid. Also the poster the unknown*** is just copying the points made by Tommo the itk on RAWk the forum. Please reply

{Ed002's Note - I don't believe that there is a chance with Hazard. Twitter is probably not the best source of information. Thanks for pointing out where "Unknown" is copying her/his fantasy football lists from.}

At first I thought maybe you had some good information then I noticed you were linking us with Hazard and Sanchez and I knew then that you are purely stabbing in the dark.
My source is still telling me we are gonna make a serious move for Lukaku and/ or Vucinic

{Ed002's Note - £25M and £70k per week for a 17 year old who possesses raw talent is making most clubs walk away from negotiations. Vucinic would be a great buy if available.}

24 Mar 2011 17:09:09
Hey ed, what you think are the chances of getiing affelay and also on a scale of 1-10 {Ed002's Note - I am sure that Affelay would be interested in the move and I am certain Barcelona would accept a reasonable offer. I am not convinced that he is the best option available, but maybe a 4 out of 10.}

24 Mar 2011 16:37:35
Just my opinion but I think we could lose Johnson and Reina in the summer. Reina will be looking for a change and a last chance of glory and Johnson will not want to play second fiddle to Kelly again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Johnson won't leave, he is loving life under Kenny and sees that we will be a major contender next year. Kelly will be transitioning to centre back anyways as it is his natural position and he was put at right back to get experience, just like Carra when he was coming through. This lad is going to be much better than Carra though, he has all the defensive skills plus much better handling and passing of the ball. The days of hoofball will soon be over.

As for Reina, he is just looking for investment from the owners but I'm afraid he won't wait long for it. Only if we make 2-3 signings early in the summer will he stay. I think he'll stay in the end and see how we do next season under Kenny.

On a side note, I too have heard that the Marveaux deal is off like The Unknown has already reported.

{Ed002's Note - The situation with Marveaux is that he hopes to play again this season for Rennes, and Tim Hager has confirmed that there is no formal commitment to Liverpool - and never was. They wish to keep their options open and the player wishes to prove his fitness.}

24 Mar 2011 16:18:47
Also some news on Reina:

FSG know he is important.
Reina wants evidence that the club is moving forward with quality signings.
FSG will try as best as they can to do that.
Reina doesn't want to leave, but feels he may have to in order to win titles.

Dalglish is included Scott Dann as one of his top summer targets.

This makes sense as Dann was a very good player for Bermingham, along with his roots as a Liverpudlian and LFC fan.

Pepe reina would ideally like to stay at anfiled for at least another season just to see if we get back into the CL however a big dilema for him is that as manure are looking for a replacement for van der sar this season then if he doesn't take the opportunity now he may not get another chance. only what ive heard from a friend of a freind close to pepe

Afternoon Eds,

Adam, Young, Cahill and Jarvis seem to be on the radar, I know they have prem experience, but they are not really Liverpool quality! Adam is good, but he is in a poor team and they may make him look better than he is. I would like a DM instead that is young and English.

Cahill is good, but better out there. Under KK even Skrtle is playing well!

Young - English and experienced, but as we all know, there are better and cheaper players out there. Jarvis I am not convinced about at all!

LFC must have a massive clearout as we all know, hopefully Reina will stay - but De Gea is my preference for replacement.

We are being linked with some exciting players and finally I expect to see real wingers at our club.

Next season we will see a title challenge thanks to our attacking line up prospects.

Finally - KK will you just bloody sign Turan please!

24 Mar 2011 13:39:31
Ed would you like us to bring Benitez back? also would you be happy if we signed De Gea? Cheers ED ! {Ed002's Note - I am not a fan of going backwards particularly and I don't expect benitez to return. De Gea would be a good buy if it came to it.}

Hi Eds, Just a quick question for any of you regarding David Amoo! I know he is on loan at Hull I think, I saw him in the reserves and early on in Europe and he looked quite good. Do you think he has potential to break through to the first team as I am sure one of you said he would possibly move? After all we need a right pacy winger and he certainly has pace! {Ed001's Note - I did think he had a chance in the past, but he has not made the progress I expected and he is going to struggle to make it at Liverpool in my opinion. His final ball needs to improve massively, as do the timing of his runs and his choice of runs.}

Thanks for your response, shame really because I liked him, So in your opinion is he being loaned out to give him a chance to prove himself or just a case of shop window and reduce the wages for a bit? {Ed002's Note - Exdperience and shop window.}

Hey Ed, I must confess, I don't know alot about replacement goalkeepers if/ when Reina leaves. I do however know that Reina is not only a skillful goalkeeper but an incredible organiser of both defence and being the first line of attacks. Which foreign keeper out of the following do you expect would be the best organiser and which would show the most grit and passion like Reina?

- Adler, Neuer, De Gea, Lloris?

My personal pick would be Lloris.

{Ed002's Note - They are all good goalkeepers but I still see Akinfeev as the best choice.}

24 Mar 2011 13:22:51
Ed how much do you reckon the following could cost in your opinion if Reina leaves :
Adler
Neuer
De Gea
Cheers Ed! {Ed002's Note - Neuer would likely be £20M or so and the others perhaps £15M.}

Thanks Ed! I personally would buy De Gea IMO he could be the next Reina . what you think Ed? Also Ed what do you make of Benitez saying he wants a return to Anfield? Please answer both ED !

{Ed002's Note - I think Akinfeev is better than all of those listed. Benitez was simply answering a question that was put to him.}
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
do you think he could eventually return Ed ?

{Ed002's Note - Possibly.}

Liverpool will make 3 quality signings in the summer. Any other players brought in will be squad players.
I'm guessing a left back, a winger and a central defender will be the quality additions. If a decent winger does not become available to us then expect to see a good attacking full back signed.
I would also like to point out that if Reina does go then obviously we're going to replace him with a top class keeper too.

My thoughts are that if Reina does go, fine. But we should demand top top money for him as he's easily the best keeper in the prem. DO NOT sell him to United, Chelsea, Arsena, City or Spurs. He MUST go abroad.

Secondly, we shouldn't be looking at other teams cast offs like Given as a replacement. Get a top class up and coming replacement. Two standout candidates for me are Manuel Neuer or Shalke and David De Gea at Atletico.

- Baines won't come. End of.
- Griezmann is worse than Maxi. I have seen him a few times and definitely not good enough for LFC
- Benzema will demand extortionate wages, why not give 35 million pounds worth of northern beef a chance.
- Momo Sissoko making a return? ;)

LucasTheSambaKing

- - - - - - - - - -

- Baines would come. In fact, he's one of our most likely signings for LB.
- Griezmann is a great player. Skilful, good shot and a great cross - and he's still 20. The only problem is he's very lightweight.
- Benzema's wages would be big, but not Aguero-esque; or even close to Aguero's. We could easily afford his wages and he would pay us back by scoring a lot.
- Moussa Sissoko you bill-end!

It's common knowledge that Arsenal put in a bid of around £25m in the summer?

Wilson can't hold his water and folded under pressure live on BBC radio 5, ages ago.

If Pep goes fine, we will get big money and there seem to be lots of top quality keepers out there.

The Shadow has returned with some more definite information on our beloved Reds. I was first to give you all the heads up that Owen was going to United, we were getting Joe Cole and Torres was off to Chelski.

I have inside information, whether you believe me or not I don't really mind.

We will be making 6 senior signings in the summer Ashley Young, Shay Given, Gary Cahill, Jose Enrique, Marveaux (only a squad player) and Charlie Adam are Liverpool players.

On their way out will be Aquilani, Kygriakos, Konchesky, Poulsen, Maxi and Reina.

Dalglish WILL be given a new deal. Dalglish has high hopes for Wilson, Shelvey and Spearing, expect to see them feature regularly next season.

I know a lot of you will click unbelievable because you can't let go of Pepe. I love him but he is leaving. I'm sorry, we need to accept it.

I would not be surprised if Reina does go, but I doubt we will be buying Given as he is 35 in April, and I doubt we will be buying Enrique as well, and I hope we would bring in another midfielder as well. Ross

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My sources are normally correct. I have numerous sources in which I just pass on info to mates and on here.

What I do know is that:

Spearing, Johnson, Cole and Gerrard will be here next season
Kenny wants upto 7 signings- DM, CM, ST, LB and 3 wingers.
KK and Clarke willl get permanent jobs.
Maxi, Soto, Jova, Ngog, Konchesky, Poulsen, Aquilani and Insua look likely to be leaving at this moment in time.
Also that we will have enough depth in our squad to compete for the title.
Adam, Young, Benzema, Marveaux are all but done so we will look to add a LB - Baines, Enrique; DM- M'Vila/ Sissoko; LW/ RW- Cazorla, Dzsudzsak, Payet, Elia
