Eds, with Hull now seemingly down would Robertson be an option as LB cover? Seems quite an alround decent player with also a mean cross on him!!

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - bit soon to know that.}

Any chance of lovren being moved on in the summer? And do you see wisdom being given an opportunity next year?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - (a) I doubt it. (b) Squad perhaps.}

Hi Ed!
Thanks for the big update of players we hold an interest in a couple of weeks ago! What I'm asking is, if you have time could you list the players we have that are of interest to other teams in the same format as the other update?
Only if you have time Ed!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Manquillo - the club may decide to pay up to return him to Spain, but I suspect he will stay.

Gerrard to Los Angeles.

I would very much expect Liverpool to sell Coates and Sunderland may be a viable option.

Brad Jones will be moved on - his contract may well end up being cancelled and him paid off.

Glen Johnson will look at available options and move on this summer.

Lazio are showing an interest in Borini.

Sevilla would like to keep Aspas in Spain and will invoke the option to buy in his loan agreement. With them losing Gameiro this summer Aspas will get more playing time. Else they will look to sell him on for a small profit.

Alberto let himself and the club down last year and I am pretty sure he will leave this summer - there seems to be little interest in him.

Real Sociedad are keen to take Ilori on a permanent deal with Sunderland, Celtic and Hull also declaring an interest. Price needs to come down.

Sterling - the manager says he stays but I expect him to go. Manchester City are interested.

Liverpool will look to sell Balotelli in the summer but they need to reduce the price they are asking by some way. A number of clubs were approached in January but none were interested in a permanent deal at the price being asked. I suspect his representatives will focus on a return to Italy although have said how happy he is at Liverpool. Last year a sponsor tried to place him with another side once Milan were pissed at him and wanted him out - but that would no longer be an option. An alternative may be a Turkish side. Fiorentina and Inter are both open to discussing a deal for Balotelli and Sampdoria would be interested in taking him on loan, or perhaps to buy at the right price. We'll see what happens.

Two clubs were at the recent game at Stamford Bridge looking at Coutinho - but it has ended there as far as I know.}

Why are the club trying to sell llori as he only just arrived ?

{Ed002's Note - He arrived two years ago.}

Brad Jones and Glen Johnson have confirmed that they will be leaving this summer.

Emre Can, Lazar Markovic, Raheem Sterling, Jordon Ibe and Jordan Henderson have been played in a role that more suits Manquilio this season. I think it is fair to say that he is not needed at LFC by Rodgers and he will be allowed to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not so much allowed to leave, Liverpool will pay for him to leave. But I suspect he will stay.}

Thanks a bunch Ed!

Ed002 I imagine the money were after for Balotelli is much less than we paid last summer?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You have a vivid imagination.}

24 May 2015 17:31:46
I think in all probability the club have probably put a price on him to try and recoup most - if not all, the money they paid for him. Barking at the moon. At this current moment in time a reckon he's only worth 2-4M at best and to off load him we're going to have to take it on the chin and drop to that sort of price.

Hi eds, a wondering if Liverpool have shown any recent interest in Jordy Clasie, I know one of the Eds said there was interest when Rodgers signed for Liverpool, and was wondering if anything had changed, thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Feyenoord's Clasie remains a target for Southampton and Porto. Interest from others, including Newcastle and Hull, seems to have waned.}

Ed are any of the teams interested in sterling willing to pay the asking price we would want. I personally reckon they will wait, until the end of the window and give us, half of what we want and we will have to accept it.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Whilst the manager has said he expects Sterling to stay I would expect the club to look to move the player on as soon as possible. I am not aware of what price they would be willing to take for the player but the only serious interest at this time is from Manchester City as far as I know.}

Hi all. Maybe I'm being influenced by annoyance with sterlings/his agents actions but I, along with a lot ot you, can't stand the sight of him any more. I'm probably wrong as I know he's only a kid and has truck loads of potential but I'd get rid of him ASAP for as much as I could get for him. Maybe whenever he does eventually leave he'll realise that the grass isn't always greener in far away fields, what will his great friend & wannabe super agent do then??? I don't think he'd put his head down & work like Suarez did anyway if he doesn't get his own way & the club forces him to stay. Admittedly with loads of potential but very little end product & he THINKS he's a top player. Listen to everyone & not just agent Aidy who is just looking after himself in the short term. Rant over. And by the way lads give gerrard the send off he deserves & at least try half as hard as he does

Papers saying 30m + Jovetic. Personally i'd take this deal if rodgers or someone at the club is interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 May 2015 10:24:06
Jovetic is as injury prone as sturridge - don't think we need another player like that.

24 May 2015 10:49:34
I hope that jovetic isn't being considered and neither to is Walcott. Undoubted talent, but just as injury prone.
I hope konoplyanka is a target, the few times I've seen him, he's been so dangerous.
You have to wonder what would be the best option for sterling if he does leave Liverpool. I know most of you don't care, but I can't see how city would be a good move because he just wouldn't get the game time in the short term, and that might stop his development.
Eds. If as expected he does leave Liverpool, what would be his best move in your opinion? My thoughts would be arsenal, because at least they has a track record of bringing youngsters through.

I hope BR just said that to keep the clubs position strong regarding a sale. Looking like we will not or do not want to sell him would get the best offers on the table.

A certain Mr Ronaldo,in his first couple of years at MU, was all tricks and speed but no end product.

It's debatable wether Sterling could go the same way, but for his sake alone, I hope he doesn't do a money run, pretending to be the finished articel this early in his career, instead of continue to develop.

Personally I see him in style,as the next John Barnes

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed030's Note - People are forgetting how Sterling performed last season for both Liverpool and England, that sort of talent doesn't leave you. He has been majorly mismanaged by Rodgers being played out of position and the contract situation. People are forgetting It's very unusual a young player will perform constantly at such a young age. }
