Ter Stegen will be brought in in January, with Reina being shipped out in the summer.

Never Reina will be at liverpool for a long time to come will be our next captain !!!!!

Wrong. Lucas will be next captain.

Lets hope he improves his performances then! Its not just this season either - he has been average at the very best for at least 1.5 years now. Personally if someone offered us 15m + I would let him go.

Same kid who isolating FIFA 13

PNE fan and so could be called unlucky, unfortunate or a glutten for punishment. However, I have family ties to the red side of Liverpool and so have always had more than an interest. I agree with an earlier post which stated about the need for realism (similar to PNE but obviously leagues above). So ignoring the chaff who realistically are targets in January if there are any?

Can I also say I really really hope BR is given time. I think he may surprise some people in the near future with a few good teams getting humped (with respect to Norwich).

Gary Hooper (Celtic) and a slim chance of Daniel Sturridge.

I have heard a few rumours going round that we are swapping suarez plus 14 million for falcao any truth in this? {Ed002's Note - No.}

24 Oct 2012 19:04:27
Why would they swap with Suarez and except 14m when they can get more then 40m from SUGARDADY called ABRAMOVICH who has played FiFa in his whole life

Aaaa absolutely no chance!

Ha ha ha brilliant you can't buy rumours like this

You couldn't write these things down on a piece of paper,between the lines! Leave it yeh! Lol

Liverpool to sell Reina for £15 million and bring in Marc-André ter Stegen for £12 million

Why post something as stupid, unfounded, untrue, attenion seeking as this? What a waste of a post!

Ter Stegen cost me 19 in Fifa, That's a steal!

Ed's have you heard anything about us and Dennis Praet

HullRED {Ed002's Note - I haven't but if he were to arrive it would very much be one for the future rather than now.}

Eds, reading back through some of the comments and seeing Rodgers seems to like/want strikers who can play wide or wingers who can strike do you think we will make January bids to buy, not loan, Sturridge and Walcott? I know Rodgers wanted Sturridge on a loan before buying deal and Chelsea didn't but as I expect several players (Downing, Henderson, Enrique, Carroll) to leave do you think Rodgers will spend the cash on these two and a left back? {Ed002's Note - I know nothing of Downing or Enrique leaving. Henderson's agent was told in the summer that he could look for another club so I would not be surprised to see him leave at the end of the season. Certainly Carroll will not be moving in January but is very likely to move on at the end of the season. There was no "loan to buy" deal discussed for Sturridge and I have explained what happened on plenty of occasions. As for Walcott, I understand from Macca that there was interest in the summer. If he does not agree a new deal at Arsenal then perhaps Liverpool will look to make an offer in January. If money is his real issue at Arsenal I suspect he may price himself out of a move to LIverpool.}

That's what I've been thinking too, Ed002. If Walcott is wanting in excess of 75k a week I can't imagine Liverpool will be the place to accommodate such a request.

~Fresh

Walcot stated in an interview that his problem was not money never was its about getting games and playing upfront which is still a problem for us

We don't want Sturridge!

Why would we sell Henderson!? sam

Hey Eds, I've seen the odd report recently linking us with Dennis Praet? Is this just speculation at the moment or is their genuine interest?

Many Thanks
Amz {Ed002's Note - I really don't know but he would be one for the future not for now.}

Liverpool will have scouts in the stands tonight for PSG's Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb.

Among the talent in show will be Dinamo midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who is a January target for Liverpool.

Italy's Genoa will also have representatives at the game to run the rule over the 19 year-old. {Ed002's Note - Not a chance of Brozovic - this sounds like very old news being recycled.}

24 Oct 2012 12:55:51
Liverpool are being linked with FC Tokyo defender Jang Hyun-Soo.

Local sources say the Reds have offered a one-week trial to the South Korea international, 21.

Jang is a centre-half and will fly to Liverpool in December for his chance to win a Premier League deal. He is rated at £1 million by FC Tokyo.

24 Oct 2012 11:15:44
Ed002 do you think thomas muller could possibly be an option for us? he has been talking about leaving bayern and would add goals to our front 3 {Ed002's Note - I don't see Muller as an option. If he were available he would have a lot of choice and I can't see any way he would move in January.}

Liverpool to sign Darren Bent in January for a fee of £14-18 million
Red4Life

No villa got too much for downing so this will not happen.

Not worth money

Don't want him. Total garbage, better off with me at 61 with two bad knees, no pace and no ability.

Bent is sh!t. And certainly not worth that price tag. If he isn't good enough for villa he isn't good enough for us

Thats 12 million pound too much lol

Sure thats not David B(r)ent ?

Not another over priced english player who is average at best..... That contibuted to our current problems ie Carroll, Downing, Henderson

No offence to Aston Villa fans but if he can't shine in a club like Villa, don't think he can shine for us.

n light of Fabio Borini being ruled out of action for up to three months, the Reds coach assessed their chances.

Mike, you return to action on Saturday against Reading - raring to go again after the international break?

We have had a good break and are looking forward to getting back to action now. We have had a few players up from the Academy to make up the numbers with the players that didn't go away and we've had some good training sessions.

How different is the training when senior players are away on international duty?

It doesn't change, really. It's just reduced numbers and if we need a few more bodies we just get a few players up from Kirkby to make up a full squad. The training methods don't change, it's just different personnel.

I know you had Rodolfo Borrell down at Melwood with some of the Academy youngsters - how valuable is that opportunity for them to impress?

It's really good for them. The international break can come at a good or bad time but for all the young kids we've got coming through at the moment it's a really good time as it's their chance to impress the manager.

While the loss of Fabio Borini for up to three months is a big blow, does this give a big chance to some of the Academy strikers?

I'm sure if need be we can call on players from the Academy to step up. It's difficult as you don't want to blood all the youngsters at the same time. The players that we've got in the squad at the moment are doing really well but you don't want to get to the point where you have too many and it can go the other way.

Adam Morgan has scored a couple of goals recently too - how impressed have you been with his attitude?

Adam was excellent for the U21s at Middlesbrough. In the first half I thought the team was outstanding with the second a bit more resilient as Middlesbrough came back out and did well. Morgo played really well in an unfamiliar position on the right hand side of the attacking three.

Explain to us the thinking behind his shift to the right?

Michael Ngoo has been playing really well in the central position for the U21s and scoring a lot of goals. Adam has been working off him and I think if Adam does get the chance to play on a regular basis for the first team it won't be in a central position because we've got Luis Suarez there where Rodgers likes to play him centre, so that's the thinking behind it. For most young players when they do get a chance in the first team it's very rare they get the chance to play in the central position and it's normally in the wide areas where they get a little bit more protection.

A lot of fans are asking why Morgan or Yesil are not playing. I hope you have got your anawers
___________________________________
That's the reason why Borini was pushed wide. Again why Morgan is pushed wide for under 21 and Rodgers thinks that's where he will play for liverpool and that's why Yesil haven't got chance coz Suarez is preferd playing central. Ed63 how will that effect buying out and out strilker then play him wide or will buy players who can play wide foward. Thanks {Ed063's Note - I think we will be looking to buy an out and out striker myself, then Suarez could be pushed wide. However if Suarez gets his act together and is more clinical then I think we may look at a wide attacker ie Merkel.}

Angela Merkel?

Am i the only one who thinks its mad keeping Luis in the middle

I think we should go and buy Hunterlaar as he will play the striker role and Suarez will be pushed out wide right where he played for Ajax, there record together was incredible.

Am i the only one who thinks its mad keeping Luis in the middle.

Your not the only one mate, i just find it mind boggling as to how Rodgers can play a man who clearly likes to begin his attacks from the wings as an out and out striker. Ok fait enough, that as Borini got injured he has been pushed upfront but why not play Borini as a striker and Suarez out wide right. Its like playing Andy Carroll as a winger. Suarez is all about skill and trickery combined with an eye for goal or a chance to pass to a team mate to score. He is NOT an out and out striker. When he was ar Ajax he played as a left Wing Forward with Al Hamdaoui as the striker and Sulejmani as the Right wing forward...

I can't be bothered reading all this! Is there a summary?

Merkel is class but isn't he more or a cam rather than a winger? I have only seen him a couple of times but I have read a bit I thought he was an under hyped version of erikson

Falcao to agree to join Chelsea in Jan £48m

Torres to be sold,and is hoping of a return to Liverpool £18m

Would love this to happen, but it won,t. Torres caused to much trouble in leaving LFC to go to Chelsea.

Id take that all day long........

18m? Ha aha

Torres didnt cause any trouble to Rodgers. Not the same Torres that we had but could be good with Suarez as his supply line.

I doubt they will sell Torres in Jan, regardless of whether they sign Falcao. It's more likely Torres will leave next summer, perhaps heading back to Spain or maybe Italy. I would be very surprised if he came back to Liverpool.

It would be nice but believe me i dont think it is true:(

I could actually see this one happening if Chelsea get Falcao as Torres has admitted he loves Liverpool, However i also can see Torres back at A.Madrid as part of the Falcao deal .. Eds ur thoughts please ...

BigD {Ed002's Note - I really don't see Torres returning to Liverpool.}

Don't care about Chelsea. At least he is worth that amount unlike Torres

18M??. I'd rather we get him for FREE??!?!

I would have torres back in a heartbeat.people should forget about how he left and think about what he did for us when he was here and what he can do again if we were lucky enough to get him back

That old chestnut again......never happen.

His recent comments stirred all this up... Though he did sound like he wanted back maybe a return of Alonso too then all we are short is Rafa lol lol lol lol

Do we want the person? Same as we wouldn't want Owen. Both players screwed us over and have proven not to be players for the shirt, just themselves.

Just laughable,everton have more chance of getting torres. but they wont sell, they will then have one of the best partnerships in europe, and chelsea even harder to beat. its all about chelsea and city now. money rules

How did Torres screw us over? We banked 50m FFS.

Nothing like own at all....

Torres got us 50m even though he didn't play well I really don't think he wants to be at Chelsea. His body language speak a thousand words. He was born to score against Chelsea. I think he'll be open to move bk as the regime has gone.

I don't know how you can compare Torres to that little rubbishe Owen!! The mercenary went looking for gold at Madrid then did the unthinkable and sat on the bench at Man Utd!! I'd have Torres back tomorrow!! end of rant.

I agree with the poster who said Torres screwed us over. He said he would stay with us, didn't want to p lay for another English club and then less than 6 months later, he's off. The transfer fee has got nothing to do with Torres screwing us over. That's business between Chelski and us, not Torres. Torres lied to us all. As did Owen.

Bottom line, this is all just total nonsense. Torres has left, gone, end of. Whatever Chelsea chose to do, his days at LFC are past.

Rodgers would move for Torres at 18m

Hi ed's,

I was just wandering if any teams have shown interest in any of our key players. Loads of people just want new players but i normally just want our best ones to stay. The problem is the longer we fail to qualify for the CL the harder it will be to keep hold of some important players.Do you think if we are 10-11 in the table come Jan other teams will think they could make a move.

Thanks,

Red raj {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. January is not a great time to be looking for players.}

I agree with Raj. The longer it takes to get in CL the more difficult to get hold of good players and hold our existing players. Please note Suarez, skrtel, pepe, gerard are not going to be same coming years. if we dont bring in good players now, the next year it will be more difficult.

Manutd have a dilemma. They got too many strikers while have only 1.

Just Heard that according to Fillipe Fusco (David Villas agent) his move to liverpool seems very possible and likely

Another misguided fool!

Yeah right and i suppose we are getting Torres also to play alongside him

24 Oct 2012 03:16:17
Walcott is refusing any deal with Arsenal, he has got his mind set on playing fo LFC.

1.Do we need him tho?

2.Do we give what he wants and use him as a striker or continue to use him on the wing?

BigD

He's want assurances about his role. He wouldn't be leaving Arsenal otherwise...

He's going abroad!

He can unset his mind then.... Walnut

Liverpool will sign 19 year old striker Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan for a fee of £12-14 million

Id love that!

It was BS the first time

redluv

They have already rejected a bid a lot higher than that for him so its a defiantly no go area.

BigD

Why will he leave champions league football with ac milan

I'd love this to be true, but I think there is more chance of me becoming rodgers chief scout and travelling between clubs on one of Micheal Owen's horses
Andy H

We should have like buttons on the page, just for comments like Andy's ...

Such a big future star for that price. lol

Liverpool will sign 19 year old striker Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan for a fee of £12-14 million in January can't wait he is a great Talent

Firstly, no, he is a major part of AC Milan's future. Secondly, he'd have countless clubs after him, probably including City, Barca, Madrid etc. Thirdly, we don't even had CL football. Finally, he'd cost a heck of a lot more than 12-14m, more like 20-30m or even more.

ChrisMiz

SO is Elmo he is at least valued 20-30 mill

That is b*******, AC Milan have told the press that he isn't for sale at any price

24 Oct 2012 01:23:16
