Do you know if Liverpool have shown any interest in Yilmaz?

Also why are RM taking so long to bid for Suarez? {Ed002's Note - Before he left Trabzonspor for Galatasaray in the summer of 2012 Burak Yilmaz attracted interest from Sevilla, Spurs, Fulham, Dortmund, Beyer Leverkusen, Liverpool and Newcastle. Lazio and Lokomotiv Moscow spoke with the player in January after the clubs agreed that they would meet the asking price from Galatasaray - but that has now risen considerably with his performances in the latter half of the season, as Chelsea were recently informed. Atletico Madrid has dropped what interest they had but two clubs do remain in discussion with Galatasaray. As far as I am aware Liverpool has not approached Galatasaray at this time.}

Dont want him. Don't need him

Yes we do he looks class plus Suarez is a joke then we could go for eriksen or Bernard I have lost all respect for luis!

Agree3 Disagree1

I think the first reply is referring to the unanswered question in the original post - Real Madrid don't really need Suarez, and arguably don't fancy the baggage. Unfortunately, the arsenal thing seems to have a bit of momentum - just sort of underlines what people have said about about him for some time.
I don't want to lose his skill and determination, but I think the team functions more efficiently (if less spectacularly) without him - there's less of a 'give it to Luis' going on. Losing Suarez might well put us back a bit, but it might be better long term.
Just seems counterproductive to sell him to one of the few teams we could realistically have a go at catching. Particularly as there don't appear to be any obvious first team replacements out there.

Anyone close to agreeing a fee for Jackson Martinez? I read you said that they were looking for 40m but surely no one would pay that.

Flanagan staying put this season? {Ed002's Note - Porto are prepared to cash in on Jackson Martinez with varying degrees of interest from Napoli, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Spurs, Galatasaray, Juventus and Barcelona. However, Porto will seek his full release clause of 40M euro but would likely need to settle for less. Two bids from Juventus were turned down and Napoli and Milan baulked at the asking price. Napoli are seemingly willing to talk further but Porto want a commitment on price first.}

Napoli not interested in Damiao anymore then?

They'd be looking at a variety of targets mate,
Don't want all your eggs in the same basket after all

Ye that's right put my question fairly wrong, I was meant to ask if Napoli favoured Martinez but I guess that's really hard to know

Hello Ed, Could we go for Damiao if Suarez is sold? {Ed002's Note - There has been no interest shown by Liverpool whilst he has already held talks with Napoli and Zenit who are looking to conclude a deal as soon as possible.}

Believable20 Unbelievable8

Southampton also interested and we have told he is not for sale until after the world cup

Agree0 Disagree3

Suarezs thing dragging on missing out on a lot if targets give arsenal a price 50-55 m take it or leave! Still expected real to bid for him now but they will offer nowhere near what we want!

Agree1 Disagree2

Honestly think we don't need to replace suarez

Agree3 Disagree8

Ive heard that if suarez is sold a bid will go in for wayne rooney seems far fetched I know but the bid will go in. {Ed052's Note - Stop with the Rooney rubbish please}

Agree0 Disagree9

1. suarez is leaving like it or not. let's just hope he goes to Madrid

2. Nice one Ed02 with the lamb of God ministries picture!

3. Why all the focus on suarez? he's leaving. I'd rather say thank you to pepe reina and wish him all the best

4. QUESTION FOR EDS: using the search function,
the latest summary said that possible realistic bids are for Jorginho and Dzudzsak. Is there any NEW news on Dzudzsak or do you think there won't be much info until suarez leaves?

redkenyan {Ed002's Note - There is nothing new on Dzsudzsak at all - Liverpool did try and take him on loan in January and he remains, possibly, an option. Verona will sell Jorginho to the highest bidder - the player will look to assurances over game time.}

Believable12 Unbelievable5

I think Dzsudzsak was seen as downings replacement, not a bad change for an extra £3mil, but downing now seems set to stay.

Hi Ed02,
Do you still expect Real to make a bid for Suarez? And do you think we would let him go to Arsenal? Thank you

Valent {Ed002's Note - I expect them to make a bid and I would expect the club to be reluctant to sell to Arsenal - but it cannot simply be discounted.}

At least it's not Tottenham!

I think its time we move on from suarez. We spent £22.5mil on suarez & £35mil on carol = £57.5million. We also sold Torres for £50million. Sold carrol for £15million and now looking to sell Suarez for at least £50million. Its good business in all aspects. Were cutting are losses for that wasteful £35million we spent on carrol. We finally got a manager who has found us stability. Are opening 3 games look comfortable as I feel david moyes is going to find it hard in the hot seat now. as for everton they will crumble down mid table with that smerky new manager lol. He hardly done wigan any justification of keeping them up, got lucky against a poorly played man city in the fa cup. i'm very optimistic we can get maximum points in our opening games. Baring in mind that if arsenal sign our talismatic striker for £50+million then he still won't play the opening 6games. Whilst we hopefully go out and buy a new player at the expense of £20+million and have him slot in ready for the new campaign. I feel that either comes out and signs a new deal or he is a done deal and gone. We as fans show loyalty to our club now to the us a favour and get us into the champions league you will be more of a Liverpool legend! Either way this will go on to the end. YNWA
