Proposed transfer targets linked elsewhere again!Cos no Champs Leauge Crazy horse and cup loving short termists.That is why Champs leauge is a must nowadays.We'll be left with the left overs to scramble over.Must get more revenue in-via Stadia new or improved.Or wont close gap

Champs League £25 million, New Stadium with 14,000 extra seats £10 million, both of these are dwarfed by the new kit deal we've signed with Warrior. I'd be more worried by the fact that the best players want to play for a club in the Champs league rather than the financial aspect of it.

Look at Newcastles progress.And their money management(Aided by our daft Carrol buy)What are their coaches Sook acouts doing/or know-that ours dont do?

For one they have a very good scout who looked to the French league to boost their squad.

And Cisse was not good enough for our team. Or maybe we did not want a striker who scores goals. We are a joke. Newcastle shows how is done.

Look at Chelsea's progress and their money-management.

Drigan

Go and follow Newcastle then..
JoeyB

Simple'they invested in two strikers

Where are newcastle in the cups,yes they might be punching above the weight in league,but as liverpool fans let judge our improvement on next season eh?
mrbrown

Judge us on next seasons progress?? We have been saying that for years, this team and the players brought in are not good enough to challenge for a league. We need to overhaul the recruitment policy and get rid of this Director of Football nonsense or whatever position it is this week. We need to be bagging the quality players other clubs seem to be finding rather than paying over the odds for average players.

Birmingham won the Mickey mouse cup we have last year Just saying

I think Comoli's job is safe because he never bought these British Donkeys!

Demba Ba they got on a free, no one would risk it for him because once he knee goes he will never play again or at least not very well. Newcastle are showing us how it's done? I didn't realise they were in any competition. People need to get real Newcastle and Tottenham for that matter are only doing well since us, chelsea and arsenal are playing poorly. Not so much Arsenal now though. We are getting there everyone needs to relax

hey eds

do you think sterling will leave and do you think he will play again this season and if he stays will he be a pernament squad member next year?

thanks and keep up the good work {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers please.}

25 Mar 2012 21:42:05
yo eds

eds just heard we are looking to offload carroll for around 10 million to get funds to buy cavani for 30 millionn heard anything?

thanks {Ed002's Note - It is not true. It is something on caughtoffside that links to a source on goal.com but there is no Liverpool link.}

25 Mar 2012 21:16:54
Liverpool are losing patience with Andy Carroll and will look to offload him in order to finance a deal for £30m rated Cavani, so they can partner him with his international compatriot Luis Suarez.

Liverpool are preparing to buy another Suarez – after Anderlecht's £20million-rated striker Matias Suarez emerged as their top target.

also i heard sterling might not play again this season which i find strange as he was good when he came on and deserves another chance soon.

heard anything eds, thanks alot and please post

Anything on any of this eds, mainly rhe sterling bit? {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers and refer to Dalglish's interview.}

Matias suarez nearly signed for everton and then arsenal in january for 7 million euros why the hell would liverpool pay 20 million pound for him

Why the hell would liverpool pay 35million for Andy Carrol? Clarkchenko7

Sounds about right for our sh1te club at the moment. Young exciting skilful player, sell him and keep going with the useless donkeys we paid mega bucks for

25 Mar 2012 20:33:19
Do you know if Liverpool have looked at patricio rodriguez? He looks a real talent.

Joshlfc {Ed002's Note - Independiente's Patricio Rodriguez has been hawked around Europe all of this year without much luck. Benfica seems the most likely destination.}

Shame, he looks really impressive, so no chance for us?

Joshlfc

25 Mar 2012 20:32:56
Are we interested in matias suarez eds?
{Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

25 Mar 2012 20:05:51
eds,
IF dalglish steps down do you see any chance BERT VAN MARWIJK or FRANK DE BOER arriving as first team manager? {Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to this - perhaps others have an opinion.}

25 Mar 2012 20:01:50
Edd 002 possibly can you tel me if raheem sterling actually wants to leave or is it just the media STEMLOCC {Ed002's Note - I really don't know but for now let's assume it is the media.}

25 Mar 2012 19:55:44
Has anyone heard where the summer tour is going to be (if any)? We heard earlier it was going to be in the US. but haven't heard anything in a long time.

Satellite Beach Red {Ed002's Note - There will certainly be a US element. I have seen a press release about it but dates have not been finalised and I recall possible games in Boston (Fenway) against Roma, NY against Celtic and Toronto or Chicago against Chelsea.}

It should be Guatanamo Bay after the "performances" in the league in 2012 - disgraceful ;-(
5uarezTimes

Until we win FA Cup / get 5th pos. we have to scrap this tour

25 Mar 2012 19:24:43
ed do we still have an intrest in shinji kagawa of dortmund!, hes been in good form this season cheers!! {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been one of the clubs, along with Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa has had a generally pretty poor season, he is now back in favour at Dortmund and looking to agree an extension to his contract. I think that he will probably stay on next season.}

Unfortunatly no way. Dortmund is buying Marco Reus,strongly doubt that they will sell Goetze or Kagawa. {Ed002's Note - There is a decent chance that Goetze will leave this summer.}

Just wondering Ed, in what way has he been poor? You are probably right but it's just he always seems to be on the score sheet when I check the Dortmund results.
Cheers {Ed002's Note - He struggled with his play early on and was slated by the Dortmund fans. I appreciate that the Liverpool fans would never do that to one of their own palayers.}

It will not be easy for any EPL club to get players from German Clubs because of many reasons....

1. Players are financially well rewarded compared to other countries.
2. Socially, culture wise and weather wise Germany has an advantage when compared with England....eg Manchester Rain, London traffic, etc...
3. German clubs are owned by their fans....so they dont go for unpopular decisions.
4. Players get more support from the club when compared to Enlish clubs...Eg when der Bomber (Muller) had personal issues, Bayern Munich took him in and helped him through the tough times....Things like these get noticed and reason why Scheinsteiger, Lahm, Ribery, Klopp, Reus all of them preferred to be in Germany even though they could have....

LiverBird

26 Mar 2012 00:33:20
why have you said that there is a chance gotze will leave ed? he signed a contract extension in january :S and was kissing the badge after the game today where a as you say a out of form kagawa scored twice and got 3 assists in a 6-1 away win today, the same kagawa that has scored in 3 of his last 3 games only player that may leave is barrios, with luuk de jong being lined up as a replacement

thats the link to gotze saying hes signing a new deal he signed it like 4 days later, hes going no where {Ed001's Note - isn't a badge kiss usually the precursor to a move? Plus you are linking the Fail on a Liverpool site, what is wrong with you?}

25 Mar 2012 19:13:40
Vallecano is playing Villareal now.....Look out for Nilmar....Back from injury....He is 28(approx).....Likes playing in the box....Can score and create goals...Brazilian...Should cost in the region of 10-15 million...Wages will not be a problem too..We should seriously look at this guy...

Individually not a Messi or Ronaldo but more in the mould of Saviola (definitely better than him) but plaing style very similar and would assmilate into the style of pass and move football that Kenny has made us play this season....

Plus he is the kind of forward we should be looking at...A glider who likes the box and tries to get behind the defenders, something the defenders hate.....it will be a nize puzzle for a defence with Suarez infront of them and Nilmar trying to get behind the defenders.....

He is better than trying to buy Rossi or Valero who have played in the league before

Only thing I am not sure is his finishing...He scores goals but not like Torres or Nistelrooy

Ed,

your thoughts?

LiverBird {Ed002's Note - Nilmar is likely to move to Roma, Fiorentina or Sao Paulo.}

But why not liverpool though eds? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have not shown any interest in the player.}

Too many full-stops............Damn It!

25 Mar 2012 18:46:10
Ed you have mentioned a few strikers names but have added if we sell Carroll, but who would have him and what price,we would be lucky to get 10 mill for him, which does not give us much cash to buy a quality goal scorer {Ed002's Note - We will see in the summer. It is only March.}

True Unless Harry stays and Spurs are interested I highly doubt anyone will be interested may be Villa but they won't pay even 10m, who else? QPR possibly? West Ham?if they get promoted? Now I am not saying he won't make any other team but only few teams spend 10m+ on a player

Nobody wants to buy Carroll

Stoke......think about it!

25 Mar 2012 18:18:49
Eds do u think if kenny leave other manager would have different opinion on what the team need not just strikers and a winger but other position but I think we just need a top winger and a striker {Ed002's Note - We will see in the summer.}

25 Mar 2012 18:11:36
Honest opinion do u see us bid for a top striker in the summer I know we should have buy one january {Ed002's Note - You keep using this term "top striker" and I think you just want to see the club spend a lot of money that they don't have. We have said that we expect that Liverpool will buy a striker.}

Eds, you say the club have no money..
how comes it we spent 60 Mill in the summer? {Ed002's Note - I did not say the club have no money. But if you have £60M in the summer, and then spend it, how much do you have left? Do they teach math at schools anymore?}

Ed do you think liverpool can afford to spend say 20mil on a striker {Ed002's Note - I think there is every chance of that.}

Apart from Luuk De Jong and Matias Suarez, any other strikers Liverpool are extensively scouting/interested in? Just at the moment, not asking who well buy in the summer as obviously no one knows that

Ed having a dig there, out of 1000 strikers liverpool should be looking to buy one of top 50 at least in the region of 100 max. so yes TOP STRIKER!
when youy say alot of money we dont have, so we havnt just nailed down worrior to next seasons top for free have we?
wat bout turnover per match ??
t.v. deals??
oh well l.i.v.e.r.p double .o.l.
liverpool f.c. nice to meet you (in the vioce of borat). :-P

{Ed002's Note - It seems you have zero understanding about football finance. Liverpool are losing money week on week and have been since long before the new owners arrived.}

So we can afford to give 35 mil to a boring, slow-as-a-turtle Carroll who will never make even half the money we paid, but we cannot afford to give 9 mil for a Papiss Cisse type of player...Yes I'm sure our management knows what they are doing. Let's see how long this joke will last...and how long people will defend this joke.

Ed,how can a club as massive as Liverpool actualy be LOSING money week on week?especially after cutting a large chunk off the wage bill last summer...i know we've spent a lot on transfer fees and are supplementig loan player like Poulsens and Coles wages but still think its amazing a club the size of Liverpool isnt run at a profit even without Champs League!cheers... {Ed002's Note - Aside from 04/05 (£9M) and 07/08 (£10M) Liverpool have made a loss in each of the last 10 years. And money continues to be lost week on week. Not being in the Champions League removes around 15% of annual income.}

25 Mar 2012 18:25:57
Good performances from possible targets in the form of a kagawa brace and a goal from montolivo (spelling) of dortmund and fiorentina respectively

25 Mar 2012 17:29:39
eds, I apologize if anyone has already asked you this, but if they have I haven't seen it, FSG want a young, ambitious manager (assuming that kenny leaves), what about carragher, any chance of him becoming manager, even if it's just as caretaker?
YNWA {Ed002's Note - Has he even done the necessary coaching badges? And would you not prefer someone with experience in such a role? Perhaps one day but I am not sure now is the best time.}

Carragher is too young to manage Liverpool at the moment.

Maybe in 5 years or so he would have his badges and some coaching experience. At the moment he isn't the man for the job, but if he ever moves into management I wouldn't say no to him sitting in the dug out.

Gaz1975.

Brendan Rogers is the young manager we should go fir. If Kenny is being moved up stairs. He knows the EPL and will have a year to get us in to CL. Europa Cup should be used to get sterling and co upto speed

25 Mar 2012 16:47:42
Mourinho on his way to Anfield according to Carragher at kids footie this morning.

Ye i heard this to my old mans best mates with reals physio and aparently theres never been so much bad blood at the club in all the time hes been there and mourinio will
Be gone sooner rather than later destinatin england

I would welcome "the special one" with open arms.
I also heard this on the coach back home yesterday.
Fozzer (Torbay Reds)

Its wind up season...

How I wish this were true :-(

Yeah, he'd tell you woudn't he?!

I suppose the prices will have to go up AGAIN if he does come to Anfield. We would need more money to buy some decent players.

I bet the kids standard of football was better than Liverpool's current first team

Gav

Actually it is Maureen Yo who has been taken on as a translator for the two Chinese lads who are training with the Academy.

My mums best mates dads cousin who knows mourinho's poodle said this rumour is a load of old cobblers!

25 Mar 2012 15:47:04
eds do you guys think raheem sterline will stay or not next season thanks:)
{Ed002's Note - Please read the other posts.}

25 Mar 2012 15:41:06
Eds do still have a little chance of javi martinez {Ed002's Note - Manchester City are looking to replace Nigel De Jong in the summer and Javi Garcia and Javi Martinez were the two players they are looking at. I was told a while back that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player any time soon, and if they do they will want 40M euro with Barcelona and Real Madrid being possible destinations. Garcia has signed a new deal at Benfica so I imagine Martinez will become a serious target for Manchester City.}

If liverpool bring bak benitez all thouse top spanish playersll come here, just like like torres did so come on bring bak benitez from now please

Liverpool f javi martinez hahah more chance of sighning ronaldo the fat one

Haha javi martinez rejected barca and real in the summer and they had to activate the 40 million euro release clause just to have a bid accepted like llorente rejected spurs, bilbao players brought through as local lads dont leave simple as that, look at munian they all say hes gonna be the next big thing tippped to real barca city ac and he said he doesnt ever want to leave they are like a clone club of barca in a different part of spain, they keep all their good local talent, almost 80% of their squad is from basque country

I'm pretty sure 100% of their squad are Basque, cuz that's just how they roll.

25 Mar 2012 15:30:50
Eds we all talk about suarez leaving wat about carrol could he leave? {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

25 Mar 2012 15:25:33
Ed, have you heard any news regarding Matias Suarez of Anderlecht. Media is saying that we're in pole position to sign him. What do you think and if you've seen him play? If yes, what do you think of him. Thanks alot. YNWA {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in describing his attributes as a player but Liverpool along with Arsenal, Newscastle and Juventus have shown an interest in Matias Suarez.}

Ive wotched him closely hes not liverpool class no way

25 Mar 2012 14:51:33
Eds - Can you tell me if there is any interest from us (or anywhere else )in Columbian midfielder Dorlan Pabon, who plays for Atletico Nacional? Also, do you have any idea what he would cost? I have heard, from a not very reliable source, that he would be available for around 5M. Looks like an amazing player who has somehow slipped under the radar. Cheers. -SH- {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest and he may not find obtaining a work permit that easy. }

25 Mar 2012 12:43:29
Ed what are the chances of signing Guidetti from City? He's said recently that he is not prepared to sit on the bench at City and I can't see them offering him that and I reckon we could. {Ed002's Note - Seems most unlikely to me.}

25 Mar 2012 12:44:15
Come on lads we still have the fa cup to win, I rather win carling cup and fa cup than just getting fourth place,no trophies for getting fourth.dont get me wrong I'm not happy with our league form,I was happy with the signings but not the amount we bought them for. Zaydan123

The problem is we won't win the fa cup

Bet you werent saying that a few weeks ago

Ah well, the be**ends are out in force again, prob the same d*cks who cheered the team on (from their armchairs) in the final. what a cracking support we have.

F@ck the fa cup and carling. champions league is a must for us. good trophies and win but the day after us winning it what do we really have? probably a hangover and another cup but WE ARE MILES OFF BEING IN EUROPE AND WORLD ELITE! NOT GOOD ENOUGH. BRING RAFA BACK. i'm dead serious too

I'd bet Birmingham are glad they put all of their efforts into the Carling cup & not their league position, get your head out of the sand soft lad.
Kevo

So you'd rather fourth place in the league and a qualifier you may not even win over a possible two cups?

Football's about winning trophies. We're not good enough to compete in the latter stages of the Champions League at the moment anyway.

Bloody Sky generation. We're still a work in progress, whether that's under KK or somebody else.

25 Mar 2012 12:43:58
Why would a young, dynamic and progressive young manager want to join LFC, they would only need to read the comments on here that are directed at a legend like KK, to see how they will be treated if things don't go to plan.
Quite honestly, I have never comw across a bigger bunch of whinging fans in my life, you are a disgrace to a great team.
You know who you are, all those who never sign their posts.

So what do you think mate? what actually wen wrong? do we have a poor team? or, has the team been managed poorly? or are you quite happy with the performance?

"You know who you are, all those who never sign their posts."

nice to see you signed your post, hypocrite much? Supporting a team who by their own admission are aiming for nothing less than 4th, but sitting mid-table, with no prospects of 4th (again), we have a right to whine. Get off your high horse.

IMO everybody has a "right" to whine but it solves nothing, in all honesty all it does is create a bad atmosphere around the club and that makes everything worse.

Those who don't sign, just like you !

I think every one has a right to there own oppinion to be fiar, and when alot of money has been invested into the future and there not playing up to standards i think we have a right to say what we dam well like, its our money we are spending at the end of the day! so a great manager once said never accept 2nd best. so the stanards have been set!
thanking you
barrabas

I'm glad some one said it. Well done mate. Perhaps these people should talk to real fans and stop playing CM or geeking on pc's all the time.

Kenny is the wrong man for the job, didnt want to help hodgson when he need it. kenny only took the job because he had nothing to lose. once he new hodgson was failing and didnt have the dressing room he was on to win win postion, because if he failed it didnt matter because he was king kenny and the team was pure, but also if he brought success he was the king of kings, clever man, my name is will scott, so keep your silly comments to yourself

I can't quite tell if your a liverpool fan or not, but one thing's for certain, I support liverpool football club, not just one individual, so if the team lays badly then the man responsible (in this case dalglish, comolli and some of the players) should leave. We are Liverpool Football Club, not Kenny Dalglish'

Maradona won the World Cup for Argentina, but as a manager he messed it up completely. His failure in 2010 does not question his greatness as a player. It is quite natural that a great player may not become a good manager.
I hope Kenny should step down before it gets too dirty. We respect him and humbly appreciate his contributions, but now we have to move on. No one is bigger than the club and we are LFC fans not KK fans.
Oh I m Dev from Newcastle, please remember me.

Yeah kk will allway be a legend that is a fact, but is he the right man for the job?
tbh i dont know like any other liverpool fan, we dont know simple as, but i do know 1 thing tho we all just want whats best for the club, yeah we do hate seeing the club this way but we will pull though it and come out stronger. alls we've done since woy's gone is done things behind closed doors, (thats wat i think anyway). barrabas

I think what a lot of people meen is regardless of whether kenny is right for the job, or had done a good job, he deserves more respect than people saying he is s**t. if you think he should move aside, no worries, but insulting a club legend isnt the liverpool way that i was brought up on.

I personally think we have a good squad and a good manager in KK. I can't help but think the problem is with the players mentally, they don't turn up for the games we should easily be winning! Over confidence or complacency? KK loves the club and it's supporters love KK so not sure that's the problem. Still on this run of form managers have been sacked for less! The answer is... I don't know, just keep supporting Liverpool FC.

The only "disgrace" is that we spent 100 million on players and are worse than last season.

All football fans moan and groan even when they are winning and are top of the league! Everyone has an opinion, everyone thinks they can do better and everyone thinks that they know more than everyone else.

It's the same at every club accross the world. Look at the other rumour sites on here, full of fans moaning and groaning.

Things aren't going to plan this season, the big money signings have flopped big time, but the support is still there.

In the summer players need to be moved on and players brought in.

We have a great spine of a team:
Back 4
Keeper
Midfielder
Striker

That makes 7 for me that would always get picked.

I would say we need 4 players to add to that spine. A striker, 2 wingers and a midfielder. At a minimum.

Downing is not Liverpool quality. Carroll is too slow to be a striker and doesn't look bothered at all when he is on the pitch. Henderson looks like he has stage fright and Charlie Adam seems to have melted away since Steven Gerrard came back.

How many of the new players I have listed will still be at the club in the summer?

Gaz1975.

So this time next season if we have not don beter then everyones going to go mental,
so if we've not won a cup but finish in the top four then is that concidered to be a good season? even if we do end up doing the double this season !! wow there just no pleasing some guys is there?

So do you fancy giving relegation threatened teams a bag if 3pts each game? Well done what a stupid post , all fans are going to whine and we certainly have a right to , don't Like what's being said ? Don't comment , Luke

And yet you never signed your post.

Everyone has an opinion, people might disagree with yours, that is only normal, live with it.

Fadi

25 Mar 2012 11:58:44
Hey eds, My first post here. Do you see any chance of LFC being managed by kenny and rafa together? And any interest in Raul gonzalez? Will sterling be a permanent next year? {Ed002's Note - No to all three questions.}

25 Mar 2012 11:46:38
does anyone else think that Borrell would do a good job if promoted to first team manager? he's come through the managing ranks for us and has done a fantastic job with the reserves and Nexgen. no one at the club knows the young players better than he does, and obviously he'd know how to manage a team of strong players.
He'd be able to attract talented young players (part of FSG policy) with his strong ties to Spain, and i think roldolfo would be the perfect Barca-style manager - tactical knowledge, keen to give youngsters a break and contacts for future signings.

Good shout, but we are forgetting that kenny is still our manager, until that changes lets just support him

Would be the best of both worlds, Benitez tactics and knowledge and Kennys man management and history.
While there is mutual respect for each other two very proud men used to being No1 makes an unhappy marriage.
Houllier ad Evans anyone?

Yeah i think he will be great but kenny also knows how to manage youngsters as he was youth team coach for a wile i think.

Hmm... i understand what you mean, ad i think it's a fair shout, but i disagree, purely beacuse of his lack of first team experience.

I like your thinking! Didn't pep guardiola do that? He managed the reserve team at barca and then went on to do the first team.

Joshlfc

25 Mar 2012 11:27:44
Ed, does Soldado remain an option for the summer? Or do you think he will cost too much? Cheers

ToonRed {Ed002's Note - Certainly Liverpool have shown some interest in Soldado as have Milan and PSG. At about 25M euro or more Soldado would not be cheap but he is certainly a possibility if Liverpool could sell Carroll.}

Hi ed002, do you think that we are actively looking to sell Carroll? on current form, surely we would have to take a massive hit on any transfer fee. cheers, big steve177. {Ed002's Note - Putting aside the hit on the transfer fee, it has not really worked out as planned. I am sure if a reasonable offer was made and Carroll could get back to being a regular starter somewhere, then the two parties could move on. I would certainly not be surprised to see him leave in the summer.}

Hi Ed002,

Are you implying that we are looking to sell Andy Carroll or is it just a possibility?

LFC_7 {Ed002's Note - I am sure that Carroll would be available if the right offer came in.}

Eds,
Is Liverpool looking to sell Carroll? {Ed002's Note - I am sure that Liverpool would listen to offers for Carroll.}

Is selling Carroll a possibility this summer ed? Cheers

ToonRed {Ed002's Note - Of course.}

Ed do you think lfc want to sell carroll? {Ed002's Note - Please see the other answers.}

Nice editing! Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work. Cheers big steve177.

Do you think Carroll would be sold or would a loan move be more likely, seeing as that too would suit both parties?

Who in their right mind would buy carroll, unfit, lazy and has drink problems haha

Harley

Ed002 IF Liverpool decide to sell Carroll, or willing to listen to offers will there be any? Honest question I mean I doubt anyone will offer at least 15m {Ed002's Note - What about Carroll and £15M for Torres?}

Tell me Ed002....oh dont worry actually, I think I know the answer : P

Gav

Eds,
would stoke city be an option for carroll?

Ed what clubs in the premier league would be able to afford 15million for carrol also do you think newcastle would want him to replace ba if he leaves! cheers ed sorry for all the questions! {Ed002's Note - Wait until the summer and we wills ee what happens.}

To all those Carroll whiners, moaners and bitches:

Win percentage when he starts: 69%
Win percentage when he comes off the bench: 41%

TSP

I think Tottenham might come for him as they were interested in him last Jan. But i don't expect anything more than 15Mil and if we are lucky we can get 20Mil which is highly unlikely in my opinion.

AJ

25 Mar 2012 09:59:55
Hello Ed002,
can you please explain to me one thing...There is no way LFC will sign the likes of Cavani, Higuain, Tevez, Adebayor or any other top striker without securing CL, right? But how can LFC get to CL without such a top scorer? {Ed002's Note - I don't think that I have ever said that Liverpool would never sign any "top striker". Everton and Spurs have made it to the Champions League without a "top striker" in recent years. Newcastle are there or thereabouts this season without a "top striker" (having sold theirs to Liverpool). Not being in the Champions League certainly makes a move for certain players much harder to complete and the financial aspects are always a consideration when looking to buy players.}

It's our scout's job to find good strikers not well-known

Then what you do is find a young talented striker who will become the top-class striker to fire us into the champions league
derryred

Ed002,am confused.Is carrol a top striker or was he ever?,Newcastle doer hav a top striker,is that what u sayin?,lol.u beter be joking.Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse are quality top striker's.because they do a striker's job and have and use all the basics jst abour right {Ed002's Note - Newcastle's most successful striker was Carroll and was sold to Liverpool. The term "top" striker is something that Liverpool fans have recently invented.}

Eds,
IF Dalglish will not be manager for next season do you see a chance Gus Poyet coming in? {Ed002's Note - No.}

He is too good for lfc

After the performance against Wigan, Kenny and Steve Clarke have got to go. If not we are going to be mid table for the next few seasons. Kenny's appointment was never going to take us forward in the first place. His choice of players and tactics convince me he is not the man to bring us progress. Winning the league cup is hardly a great achievement bearing in mind we had to struggle against a team from the second tier. Yes we beat great teams along the way but losing against teams like QPR and Wigan in the league shows we do not have the consistency to win the league title for a very long time to come. If we are going to perform inconsistently like now we may as well give Rafa another go or anyone who have the desire to work with this team but Kenny has got to go. For those who still think Kenny should be given more time, I wonder if you are really the diehard supporters of Liverpool or some jokers from MU or Chelsea etc pretending to be supporters of Liverpool. With performance like this we are going to be slaughter at Europa Cup next season with Kenny at the helm. We may as well go for David Moyes or Brendan Rodgers if we can't break the bank to get someone from Europe. I still think Rafa is the man who is readily available.

What a load of crap.

Suggest we politely ask Rafa to resume control. 3 years ago we were playing RM in the Champions League having to scrap money together to buy players etc. I think we treated him badly bearing in mind what he had to put up with (off the field ranglings). This current situation can't go on and I don't want to end up with another run of the mill manager. It's gut wrenching when you see what MON is doing up a Sunderland. he doesn't wear flashy suits and just gets on with it.

No way
