Lucas has said he is looking for a new club in january. I personally think BR has lost the plot . He is the best DM we have. Any ideas on if lfc are looking at a specialist DM to replace or are is SG going to keep pretending to be one?
Essentially Emre Can was bought to be cover for DM so I wouldn't expect to see another come in, especially considering that Gerrard has drifted back into the DM/anchorman position in almost every game he's played this season.
He didn't buy a DM with the 100million he spent in the summer, do you honestly think he will buy one in January, the man has lost the plot. No keeper, no DM, no ocer for Sturridge and no replacement for Suarez but over 100 million gone.

Can't say I blame him. Two Prem starts, both with Gerrard sitting in midfield with him so they spent half the match tripping over each other, and not even on the bench the last two games.
Emre Can looks like a potentially good player, but he doesn't look like a DM to me. He looks like an alrounder with a good engine and decent technique. Like Hendo or Allen, basically. And Gerrard just is not reliable enough at DM. We'll end up having to spend at least £12m for someone who'll probably do the same job Lucas could have done.
Rodgers has made a huge mistake on this one, imo.

In my opinion, he should have started against Real Madrid!
{Ed001's Note - Cresswell was looked at by a lot of clubs, none were impressed, even West Ham only really bought him as a cheap option. By the way, he can't defend at all, and can be very lazy about getting back. He has not always impressed in his career.
