Ed001, do think Klopp will actually make big changes in defense and in goal at weekend as is being discussed in the papers? Or have you heard any whispers that he’s willing to try other options?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I expect him to, he was furious at the weekend. The only worry is that he might calm down and pull back from making those big changes once he has had time to think about it. Certainly his initial plan was to change things, however I wouldn't hold my breath as people often change their mind. I remember one club owner said straight after a match that he was going to sack the manager in the morning. He calmed down over night and changed his mind, leaving me looking an arse as I said the manager would be gone the next day.}

25 Oct 2017 22:04:33
Yes sometimes a cooling down period is not a good idea.

I'm a big fan of Klopp and his personality is infectious but I agree that he is not beyond crtitcism and I think this weekends selection could be the making or breaking of him. If he makes the decisions everyone knows are correct and we don't get the result then it's going to go down a lot better with fans than if he allows the continued errors of his ways cloud his judgement with formation, team selection and the way we play.

Agree2 Disagree1

26 Oct 2017 15:06:48
Surely the result is more important than the team selection, no one will care about the team selected if we win 5-0, regardless of who plays. However if he picks the same team and we don’t get a result then questions will be asked.

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Oct 2017 16:16:47
It really is time for Klopp to decide who remains in employment by Liverpool - himself or Mignolet and Lovren. If he keeps picking them then he will get the sack and any new manager will probably get rid of them anyway. Loyalty does not exist in football.

27 Oct 2017 23:07:58
Klopp came out today and said Mignolet starts tomorrow. I can't get my head around it at all.

Anything in the latest media reports on Draxler Ed1?

Is it just rehashed on the latest window coutinho saga?

Hope your well!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry, I will see if I can find out. Been so buried in doing articles I have not really spoken to anyone for a few weeks.}

25 Oct 2017 20:45:17
Cheers Ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate, sorry I can't help more.}

25 Oct 2017 20:53:29
Would you like him as a Liverpool player Ed whether it be a replacement for Couts or Can?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not convinced by him to be honest. Only reason I would consider him is if Mane or Salah were going, as I don't like him central.}

26 Oct 2017 00:26:51
His injury record worries me more then anything, we should leave him alone in my opinion. He's proved to be a decent player there's no doubt about but a Salah or a Mane he is not, plus we don't need another player who's that injury prone.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2017 22:56:12
Ed if you could ask mate when you get chance and see what yoi can find out please. Pretty please.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I will today mate.}

26 Oct 2017 15:38:09
Good afternoon ed. Sorry if im pushing it mate but have you had chance to ask about as of yet? I appreciate youve been watching the soaps most of the day🤔.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I have asked but not got anyone who knows of any interest from us. He is being pushed out the door there so it seems likely to be just stories to stir up interest.}

26 Oct 2017 17:31:49
Fair enough mate really appreciate your info. Must be nice being in contact with people who know what os going on and who we have interest in. Did you get any other snippets of information when you was asking about mate? Alpreciate you can only say so much and you don't always want to attract a barrage of questions or abuse but any info appreciated. Thanks again ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - only thing I got was a reply to me asking about centre backs and that VVD will not be the only option pursued in January. If he doesn't come Klopp is determined not to be left high and dry again. We are having a look to see if any possibles are out of favour and in need of a move for a world cup place.}

26 Oct 2017 21:31:52
Very interesting eds nice work.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Oct 2017 20:03:01
Cheers ed. Im so pleased Klopps sees we really need a CB in asap. Makes a lot of sense looking at possibles out of favour sat on the bench, I can't think of any top of my head but must be plenty.

Thanks again ed. Have a good evening mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is difficult to buy in January so it will probably be the only way to get one, otherwise it is people like VVD who are not risking their World Cup place by moving as their team never made it.}

27 Oct 2017 10:32:09
Ed
Surely there were no alternatives to VvD

If there were, who in their right mind wouldn't have brought them in during the summer window- and instead put all their eggs in one basket?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is a question only Klopp can answer mate, there were alternatives but he had decided on VVD. I guess he just assumed a deal could be done as VVD was determined to join us.}

25 Oct 2017 17:03:20
Ben Woodburn has signed a new contract, get in!

Believable21 Unbelievable1

25 Oct 2017 17:59:11
can he play in goal and/ or defence? ;-)

Has looked great playing for Wales. Would love to see him get a proper chance next season. Bit early yet.

25 Oct 2017 16:50:27
After Koeman, is Klopp next to get sacked?

Believable10 Unbelievable30

25 Oct 2017 17:06:24
I wouldn't think so. If Klopp is going to go, it will be after this season, but I don't know who they'd get in to replace him.

We'll see what happens after January.

Agree4 Disagree5

25 Oct 2017 17:27:19
This is were we are all going too see how good or talented as a manager klopp is after 2 and a bit years we have same problem but stronger attack, we also have players who want too leave do they deserve the opportunity more than say a grujic woodburn or Harry Wilson these lads are the future and need bedding in, I say this cos we still have dead wood an stale wood the likes of lovren, mignolet, klavan, sturridge, milner etc these players are not taking us forward, klopp needs too make changes now but I think he the type of manager who doesn't like too much change he ain't flexible, very interesting couple of months.

25 Oct 2017 17:30:02
Klopp will be here for the rest of the season.

Agree7 Disagree4

25 Oct 2017 18:05:18
Smeg Head i wouldn't be so sure. If this 2 wins in 10 trend continues i doubt he will be here new years time. Because that would mean we have a relegation battle on our hands!

Agree10 Disagree9

25 Oct 2017 18:24:56
Bilic is the next manager out the door if another one goes soon.

Agree8 Disagree1

25 Oct 2017 18:38:10
I like klopp and want him here for ten years but only if he can identify the weakness an solve the issue, we are not qualified football people but we all know wat the problem is defence defence defence defence an he seems very relaxed about it, but we all know when the opposition get a corner or free kick we are crapping ourselves behind the couch cos we know Wats coming, klopp will have too b a magician wid that defence and save his job.

Agree7 Disagree1

25 Oct 2017 18:42:33
We could talk about hypothetical results all day long, are you seriously worried that Liverpool could become involved in a relegation battle?

Agree2 Disagree3

25 Oct 2017 20:46:06
No but remember last January when we cudnt win too save our lives we didn't win, all of a sudden we are experiencing that same sort of thing instead of a settled side we are having too swap things round an adapt I hope we can do that.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2017 22:27:11
Klopp will be here for years if he doesn’t get fed up with the moaners and leave. We all knew this was a long term project and that there will be ups and downs. This, ladies and gentlemen is a down. Stick with it and we’ll come out the other end better for it with a united club and fans and once Klopp gets the right players in a much better side. Keep going the way we are and he’ll leave and we’ll up the creek without a paddle. Anyone who thinks he wants to play the keeper and defence we have at the moment and can’t see their limitations is an idiot. Of course he can! He just hasn’t been able to get the right players in yet to change it. Sunday may force his hand though to try something different untill he can get the right players in.

Agree7 Disagree5

25 Oct 2017 23:04:57
I don't think Klopp will be gone unless he himself leaves for Bayern next year. Our transfers always let us down. Same shut different manager.

Agree4 Disagree4

25 Oct 2017 23:59:36
It is poignant that we are having this discussion after we lost to Spurs. Look at the ups and downs they've had, but they built a team, stuck with Poch and are now what Ed1 is calling the best team in the league.

We would do well to take a leaf out of their book.

Agree3 Disagree4

26 Oct 2017 07:05:40
Thing is if Klopp went why would any top manager want to come to LFC in the state it would be in for him to be sacked? The club hasn't done anything of note for some time. Realistically we need to stick with someone for several years and let them build it back up.

Agree3 Disagree1

26 Oct 2017 07:58:04
Robbboz-Spurs might have had ups and down but not with Poch at the helm, they've gradually got better and better with him.
That's not to say I want Klopp out, I love the football we play going forward but the defensive errors are getting tedious now and it has been blatantly obvious for a long time that we've needed a new goalkeeper and almost entire backline. We have all been calling for it on here.
The reality is that to rectify the troubles it will probably have to be done next summer and then new signings will take time to gel, especially a possible new centre back pairing. By then we will have most likely sold Coutinho and lost a key part of our forward play which will make us weaker in that department and that's another new cog to blood into our system. I really think Klopp has made a massive error not sorting this earlier and it's negligent on his part and would be a sackable offfence in many jobs not just the cut throat world of football management.
Personally I would rather stick with Klopp but I think it's going to take patience from the fans as I can't see how we realistically challenge for the league till at least the 2019/ 2020 season.

Agree2 Disagree1

26 Oct 2017 08:58:14
I'm more concerned with our owners. If Newcastle get taken over we will fall further behind if we are not willing to up our antics in the transfer market.

Agree2 Disagree6

26 Oct 2017 13:03:37
maybe we could get ANCILOTTI in we could keep reminding him of the comeback in ISTANBUL 😁😁.

Agree0 Disagree3

27 Oct 2017 06:52:03
We have 2 goalkeepers other than Mignolet, why do people think we need to go and spend more money on yet another one?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Oct 2017 14:33:16
It's being reported that Klopp and Coutinho's relationship is basically decimated. How true is that Ed's? I know the lad wants gone but he seems to have knuckled down and put in some good performances for us. I personally think he'll go in Jan if not the summer.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he is unhappy at being made to stay. That is all.}

25 Oct 2017 17:31:52
He will definitely go don't know bout anyone else but I can't stand the thought of having players who are plotting too move in our squad it's not healthy, we will b fine without coutihno and emre can we were doing well up too arsenal game without coutihno, it's mane who is very important an Salah, got a feeling mane will b off at end of season he seems that type of character if we ain't doing well.

Agree2 Disagree6

25 Oct 2017 17:34:04
I’d love to know where these ‘reports’ come from!

Agree2 Disagree2

25 Oct 2017 18:06:46
Doubt Mane will be going anywhere! The backlash would be terrible for FSG selling Coutinho, letting Emre leave on a free (by allowing his contract to run down this far) and then selling Mane on top? Never going to happen.

Agree4 Disagree2

25 Oct 2017 18:12:36
Ed has there been any agreement or suggestions of when he will be allowed to leave, be it Jan or the summer? Or nothing at all along those lines.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - when a replacement arrives.}

25 Oct 2017 18:39:51
I am more worried about him wanting too leave, than us wanting too keep him seems every summer we go through something like the coutihno crap.

Agree0 Disagree1

25 Oct 2017 18:48:44
He will probably want to leave at some stage, but with his best bud Naby Keita coming in i would hope he wants to stay next season before seeing if we progress or not.

Agree4 Disagree1

25 Oct 2017 18:55:01
hailstones that’s what happens when you have good players, other clubs want them. Liverpool are not at the top of the food chain, this happens to every club to a certain extent, only the top 4-5 clubs in Europe don’t have to worry about their best players being taken.

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2017 19:25:02
Thank you for your reply ed much appreciated mate. So if and when we can get a replacement in, he will be allowed to leave probably to Barca, unless they have moved on.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I hope they have and he has no one interested, might teach him a lesson.}

25 Oct 2017 20:58:14
I no what your saying ed however we are better off selling him imo mate and replacing him. Rafinha don't look a bad player to me either if we can get him as part of the deal.

Agree0 Disagree4

25 Oct 2017 20:52:44
Smeg head I suppose I need too accept that players come an go, jus I want them too b as passionate as us supporters cos they should b an want too win every match an that's there only focus, pure wishful thinking!

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Oct 2017 07:06:49
Does he notget or want to get that the club needs to get a replacement first?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't care he just wants to move on.}
