Ed was only saying yesterday why would he leave our bench to sit on Inters? Not happening.

LFC

What if Kondogbia is off in January?

Wouldn't stand in his way if he wanted the move.

Sweet chin, so your saying we have accepted a bid Even though the window is closed?

Why would Itner bid just incase Kondogbia leaves?

Doesnt make much sense tbh mate.

Lucas is seen as a cover in that department.

For some balance and truth (look them up Harry), I should add that this story was reported on the BBC Rumours section as being a story from the Guardian.

It is not fact, as Harry is trying to imply, but a rumour.

Typical Harry passing off, if only we were as all as ITK as he is 🙄🙄.

There is a very good chance Lucas will be moving. Either in Jan or Summer. His contract runs down in summer and I don't know y people are surprised with the rumor. Inter were interested in the past and I suspect they will come back again. Kondogbia's future is in the air and they see Lucas as the cover.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. You'll get one right someday.

Harry, your original post suggested this was factual. "Massive breaking" "Liverpool ACCEPTED". Now you are suggesting it is rumour. Why make more of the situation than it is? Simply, Inter are interested, but we don't know if a) a bid has been made, b) LFC will accept or c) Lucas is interested. Non story for me at the moment.

The original Guardian story (the Guardian being one of those few newspapers with any semblance of journalistic integrity left) made it clear that Inter have made an enquiry (not a bid and thus not acceptable) to Liverpool who are "prepared to consider" it.

That is far, far, far away from "Massive breaking" anything. I'm sure this happens behind the scenes all the time. If you read the article in question, the Journalist works extremely hard to get clicks without saying anything at all.

Papers are crazy, apparently PSG are going to offer 40 mill for Couthino in January yet the same people report Van Dijk might go for 40 mill.
In todays prices he's worth a fortune surely, and I can't see as we'd seriously want him to go, heard anything eds? I don't see how we'd be letting him go mid season, plus isn't he obsessed with a Barcelona move?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I would forget the amounts involved and ceratyinly Southampton have priced van Dijk well beyond that. PSG and Barcelona are both interested in him - PSG may well make a January offer - I have explained this over and over during the past months.}

It will be 80 and everyone is happy .

I imagine £40 million falls short of what we would look to sell for. PSG won't get him on the cheap and especially not in Jan.

We shouldn't sell our best players at all if we want to challenge, pip has the potential to be world class.

He has a better chance of UCL title with Liverpool than PSG. psg st most semifinalist. He may leave if Barcelona come calling.

FSG will not sell. I am convinced that FSG will not sell Coutinho. They are genuinely looking to win trophies. No matter how much money PSG or Barcelona wants to pay it will not come close to the increase in valuation of the club from winning trophies.

Always said that if a player wants to leave then there is no point keeping him but a) I'd want a lot more than £40m for Coutinho and b) does he really want to go to a league where there isn't that much of a challenge? May as well follow Oscar to China if France is his only option.

Let's charge them £60m and move on if we have to.

I don't know how has money ever replaced world class players in the past? Keep him and resist any sort of offer. FSG have learned a good lesson with Suarez safe and the money.

I would be astonished if FSG agreed to sell him in Jan, whatever the offer.
A sale in the summer is a real possibility, but Klopp has already shown that his view is that no player should be sold for less than market value- and Phils value could be in the same league as Pogba.
If he goes, I believe we will get a major, major fee for him.

Why would coutihno go to barca, he will never oust the likes of Suarez, neymar or messi. so its likely most of his time will be on the bench.

Hey Eds,
1st time post. Long time follower. I am wandering about the interest our players are drawing, outside of coutinho. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Sakho's agent is working hard to find a new home for him and with two French clubs ruling out interest I suspect Italy will be next.}
