Any truth in the Origi rumours eds?
Thanks

Believable7 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry. Like I said previously, the only team I know that was chasing him were Spurs.}

What happened with the Dele Alli bid?

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Barcelona are preparing a 68m euro plus Alexis Sanchez bid for Suarez, claim reports. 54.5m pounds

Believable72 Unbelievable55

Benny c according to tomo Sanchez deal is already done, so are barca sign both players then giving us Sanchez back .thats a great deal then .NOT

Agree1 Disagree2

Doubt the validity but if I was presented the opportunity to sell him, get Sanchez and make 50 million pounds, I'd go for it. Then, take that 50 and spend it on Shaqiri, Moreno (paid for) and bring in a class forward (Lacazette, Bony, etc.)
We're getting ahead of ourselves however.

Agree1 Disagree1

26 Jun 2014 22:23:40
£54.5m plus Sanchez for Suarez? We should bite their hand off for that, or perhaps someone else could do it for us.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ha ha I'd drive him there myself he will go for 40 million max he's a nutter and we need to sell before he becomes a player that no one wants

Agree1 Disagree4

If only that was true!

Agree1 Disagree0

I would take that for sure!nthen Go n get Vidal and that's me n eds01 very happy

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if we got Sanchez and Vidal I think I would probably wet myself with excitement! Or that could just be old age.....

Mind if we did get those two, it would make sense to get Medel as well and really make me happy. If they could do all that on July 29th as a 40th bday prezzie for me, all the better!}

If true (doubtful), then too good an offer to refuse. I love Suarez but enough is enough.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't believe it for a second, but I would take it in a heartbeat (which is why I don't believe it).

Agree0 Disagree0

Bite their hand off if it's offered, .I mean accept the offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2014 00:23:19
Long shot but would love James Rodriguez if Suarez were to leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sanchez, Vidal & Medel, I too would wet myself haha. Not ashamed to admit it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt barca have 68 million euros in cash to spend and also if the reported buy out clause is 80 million euros, then that values Sanchez at 12 million euros.
I doubt barca will offer more than the alleged buyout clause and if anyone met the alleged clause, I'm sure Liverpool would snatch their hands off and take it.
What would be more realistic would be 68 million which includes Sanchez in that figure. So 50 million for Sanchez and 18 million euros in cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Sanchez is not being valued that highly, so how would it be more realistic?}

Well ok, let's say 40 million euros then. The point I was making is that the 68 million plus Sanchez is unrealistic and that maybe barca would bid 68 million in total as a more realistic offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

That bite took probably 10 million pounds off of Suarez's price and that's being lenient, lol. A good valuation for Suarez right now would be in the 80 million euro range. I'd say Sanchez is easily worth 50 million euros to Barca, having scored like 60 goals in 3 years. So, we make 25 million pounds, buy Shaqiri and keep the players we have.

But I know nothing and I'll leave the numbers alone. It's all about improving the team, and if the manager still thinks its better to have Suarez around after October then that's the best way to go and Sanchez is irrelevant. That we seem to have "declared" interest is indicative of our willingness to move on Suarez, I think.

eds are there any developments on any transfers, or are we close to signing someone that you no of.

thanks

Believable1 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new.}

Are the shaqiri rumours wide of the mark eds?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - I have explained repeatedly about Shaqiri.}

Yes Suarez as quick as possible

Agree1 Disagree0

What the story with Lovren, and is Bertrand still an option now the Moreno deal looks dead?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

As good as the World Cup is, unfortunately it means not many transfers take place for quite a while during this summer, I would expect for any transfer activity to not start up again until after the World Cup is over, maybe even a few days/weeks after that with players going straigt on holidays. Of course transfers can happen any time in the windows, however it is just more likely to happen after the World Cup

Agree1 Disagree0

Not sure Utd and Chelsea fans would agree? Utd signed two for £60m and Chelsea signed one. Two of the three players are at the World Cup or on plane home.

We have Ian the tortoise so our transfers will be 31st Aug if at all. Unless its players no one else interested in. Lambert Bertrand top draw CL players.

eds would we be interested in musa of cska Moscow and Nigeria, he's a young forward with pace and can score goals, yes he's a bit of a rough diamond but br likes to work with and improve players.

thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - There has been no interest shown.}

Balague is saying Madrid and barca still want him (Luis) and both now think it will help him 2 move for around 80 million euros.

Believable40 Unbelievable21

I hope he does go.
Barca also need to act as they have a transfer embargo after this window.
If Sanchez is interested in Liverpool, then maybe the swap deal could happen. Plus some ad dons of course.

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 16:12:56
We live in hope!

Agree3 Disagree1

Deffo suarez has got to go now agree 100 percent just think its strange that another transfer window suarez wants to go another biting incident and now lfc suffer because clubs will play on this when and if any 1 does still bid for him

Agree2 Disagree0

Unfortunately Balague is often wrong. He also stated that Fifa would punish Luis with a 4-match ban. I do hope he is right about this. Time is up for Luis :(

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe he misunderstood games for months? Anyway hope he is right about this. I thought clubs would wait till Jan window at best due to ban and match fitness. But hey, if they want him now BITE their hands off

Agree1 Disagree1

At this point, Sanchez and a ham sandwich would constitute great business, but an exchange plus future cash installments would be great. I really like Suarez, and if he stays, I'll accept him back, but it looks like he's one foot out the door right about now. Biting someone again must feel like a slap in the face to BR and FSG.

Agree3 Disagree1

World class players that won't drag the club through the shi.mud would be very very welcome!

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't mind what happens with Suarez as you just have to roll with the club's choice not happy he bit someone AGAIN but if he stays and scores another 30+ goals whilst not taken penos I will also be happy worse situation is we sell him for a much lower fee due to this incident

Agree3 Disagree0

I doubt anyone will offer 80million euros for him now, although I know one or two of the eds don't agree it will effect his transfer value, I think it will.
If a clause is for that amount then I guess we can hold out for it but I do think teams will fail to offer that amount knowing it is likely we will want to sell even for lower value than we had originally set

Agree0 Disagree0

The Sevilla director has come out and said he believes the Moreno deal is off and in his opinion can not be revived, "The matter of Alberto is practically settled. We couldn't reach an agreement and I don't think it can be revived"

Hope he never wears the Liverpool shirt again, he's a embarassment to club don't care about country they don't pay his wages or support him or make him the highest paid player a shame as we were movin on up to where we belong

Agree3 Disagree0

Hope this fool(Suarez)is happy once again he has let his stupid ways of NOT thinking punish Liverpool hope he packs his bags straight to Spain

Suarez has been banned for 9 games (International) by FIFA and also banned from Football related activities for 4 months meaning he'll be back for Liverpool (or someone else) at the end of October.

Believable33 Unbelievable8

He is also not allowed to perform ANY training at LFC, or receive any attention, ie physio etc

he might be permitted to receive psychological attention though

Agree1 Disagree0

So he can't even train with lfc?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, nothing. Not allowed in the ground, cannot help out with the youth team, cannot work in the club shop.}

So he can't even train with lfc?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No.}

26 Jun 2014 15:25:36
Have Liverpool put him on e-bay yet?

Agree4 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 15:22:48
I'm so angry with Suarez, looks like LFC are the ultimate losers if we can't even sell him. F**king great. I assume he still gets paid?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - If he stays at Liverpool I suspect they will look to do something to reduce his wages. By then the fear will be he will have opened his mouth and done further damage - conspiracy by the British press, the FA etc.. He has been warned about such behaviour and that another disrepute charge could easily follow. The club need to keep him quiet an look to move him on as soon as possible. A transfer won't be blocked, but if one can be arranged, I would suspect payment might be withheld or reduced and that in itself would hamper the club even further.}

Would he be able 2 have a medical if a deal was struck.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not at a football ground. And he could not train etc..}

I hope his wages will be suspended during that time.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

Ridiculous decision. 9 international matches, adequate. 4 months along with that? Typical FIFA. Question is if it was one of their poster boys, say Messi or Ronaldo would it have been the same? I think not. Extremely angry with both fifa and suarez

Agree2 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - how is that relevant? This would be Messi or Ronaldo's first offence, this is not Suarez's first offence. He is lucky he is not facing a lifetime ban. 9 matches is very lenient. 4 months is very lenient. I am angry that there are still people so pathetic that they can't see past their own bias.}

As I understand it, the one football related activity Suarez can be involved with, before the end of October, is the negotiation and agreement of a transfer.

He obviously could not play/train, or clean the lavs in the Nou Camp until the ban is served.

Agree2 Disagree0

I still have a feeling he will be a LFC player next season. In the 4 months (and beyond), I'm sure he will get all the specialist help available to sort out what is wrong. Just wondering, from a training perspective, he can't come to the club et al, but can the clubs trainers go to him, set him various tasks to perform for the next 4 months to keep him in shape, even if it's in his back garden, then the trainers walk away

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, the club's trainers cannot go to him - I imagine he good employ someone himself to help keep fit etc..}

Can you see Barcelona or real Madrid still being interested in him?

I suspect his transfer fee will have gone down by now and LFC once again comes out of the mess created by Suarez, as the real losers.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - they would still love to sign him, they don't care about cheats in Spain, ask Dr Fuentes....}

Liverpool should do everything in their power to keep him. He is the best player every to have graced the Anfield grass. Everyone loves a good comeback story. Liverpool should support him. Give him psychological help. Payment cuts. At the end of the day, he may not be perfect, but he sure is a hell of an entertainer.

Agree2 Disagree5

We do need to move him on as soon as possible Ed. I can't think for one minute that the club will look to keep him much longer. We surely have to push for a move to Barca?

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't even train? Keeping his fitness in a gym only is going to be a challenge.

I guess I can't invite him down to our Monday night 6 a side league either now? Great, just great!

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 16:04:26
Sorry ed, but seriously a life time ban? He clearly has issues that haunt him and our club. I'm not condoning his actions, he's an person who should has brought the club into disrepute. But my point is valid. Take Zidane, he had issues with headbutting, nothing like this. Calling a person pathetic is quite uncalled for because I have a different opinion to others. There's absolutely no need for that

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He has a life-time ban hanging over him for another offence already. If he keeps behaving like this, there will come a time where he would only be able to play under non FIFA affiliated FAs. Suarez to Kurdistan

I would hope that Suarez will be transferred and that Liverpool would want to complete business as quickly as possible now. If Liverpool are interested in Sanchez, then maybe to speed things along, and as long as Sanchez is interested, then that deal might become a possibility.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi ed
Hurt by the decision what he did was completely wrong I would like the club to take a stand on this matter really hurt that he will miss 2months

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes ed he has one hanging over him, and hopefully this will sink in for him. I wasn't defending him, was trying to defend the club. And it was ed1 who I was saying the final part to

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the club do not need defending, they need to get rid.}

26 Jun 2014 18:16:37
Thanks for the response Ed, to be honest now if it was up to me the club should accept enough to be able to bid for a decent forward to replace him, if we're lucky enough to get that. At least he would be off the wage bill to accommodate a decent replacement. With our finances the way they are we're going to struggle even more now to break even. Great way to show gratitude to the supporters who have stuck by him through thick and thin.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think his ban at the start of last season, in hindsight, had a huge impact on our premier league title campaign. We would undoubtedly have had better results at the start of the season and more goals scored. Ultimately Liverpool stuck by him and, although some might say he repaid us later, I reckon your top striker should be there to do his job if fit. If he can't be there then we need to spend big to get a star striker in who can be or/and move him on or Liverpool's loyalty will cost them another year without a title. We need to get all the points we can, whenever we can. This season has proved that those costly mistakes that snatch a draw from the jaws of victory make all the difference. We need goals and if he can't give us them get someone who can. Loyaly can only go so far

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 20:02:21
Are barca or real really gunna bid big for a player who can't even train even if they don't care about cheats liek you said?

Plus is falcao not going real?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - they will not care about him not being able to train, Suarez is able to train away from football to stay fit. If he joins either of those two, I am sure they will ensure he gets all the help he needs. They will view it as him getting a rest and coming in fresh for the rest of the campaign. As for Falcoa, Madrid would rather have Suarez.}

I knew the ban would include LFC games also! Just had a feeling. Oh well. thanks for the goals but for sure sell, get some money and if possible Sanchez who looks brilliant

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2014 22:03:08
I can't help but feel hard done by as the club will be the biggest loser in this, but I guess anything else less could have enforced would not be sufficient punishment for him. I'm angrier about the impact this has had on the club than the actual bite itself, he should have KNOWN this would happen but he didn't give that a second thought, and then lying about it! Ridiculous. Just relieved we can sell him on, hopeful we will still get decent money for him

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jun 2014 02:34:57
i can't get over people still want him at LFC. The guy has clear issue's on the pitch. How much of a kick in the balls must that be for BR? Of all the standing by he has done for Suarez. Time for him to leave while we can still get a good price on him. Suarez has / will have been banned for Liverpool 28games. all of which without getting a red card! get him out

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2014 02:48:52
Terrible that we're talking about this issue again this summer,he's a whackball,doesn't excuse biting though,especially after the 3rd time its happened.
But my god I can imagine him tearing us apart at some stage in the CL next season.
Thinking with my head,I would take the money
but with my heart,id have him in the team everyday of the week,he's a special player.
And for people that are saying he can be replaced, give your head a rattle,unless ye have messI or CR coming in [unfeasible to the extreme] he won't be replaced and won't be for a long time

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought we and all UK clubs are not officially affiliated to FIFA? Can we legally ignore/challenge ban? All agreements with FIFA and UEFA end this year too? Can we get support from European Club Association. Perhaps its time for that European Super League sooner rather than later. walk alone?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - how are we not affiliated? UEFA are under FIFA jurisdiction, the FA is under UEFA's jurisdiction.}

26 Jun 2014 13:58:28
Mathieu Valbuena any news on this guy to lfc please eds

Believable6 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - Seville, Zenit, Arsenal and Newcastle have enquired about Valbuena's availability but it is Valencia who have made an offer for the player. Marseille are willing to sell this summer.}

26 Jun 2014 13:54:55

Cheers, Scouserseb

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Lille's Divock Origi has attracted a little interest from Roma, Arsenal and Montpelier - but that is all I am aware of. I would not think he is EPL standard right now. I don't know how many goals he has scored or anything but I would have thought one for the future perhaps.}
