Javier Hernandez was a new name (for me anyway) linked today. His movement, determination and finishing ability ticking a lot of boxes although price will come into factor big time on this one.

I think he will be heading to MLS next season. A move back to the PL is out of the picture for him, since he would want to be a first choice. With a new club going into Los Angeles they will most likely sign him.

{Ed001's Note - bit of nothing really mate. Neymar has been public and vocal over his desire for Barcelona to sign Coutinho. That is the source of all the stories.}

If we get CL football it might all just blow over anyway mate. Coutinho is happy in Liverpool but wants to play at the top of the game. As long as we can offer him that opportunity, we can probably convince him to stay for at least another season.

I think we would be better take 50 or 60 million and get rid, put the money to use and buy two quality players. Coutihno is good but he's not world class he's too inconsistent. Gerrard is what world class should be defined as, that shot in the charity match that hit the bar.

That shot that hit the bar? Gerrard was world class once but I don't think hitting the bar is the measure of that. Really? Couts is still only 24. The second he finds consistency, he's a world beater.

I mean it was just a reminder of what gerrard was capable of in his heyday 87red, how many goals from 30 to 40 yards did he score over the years. I know which I would rather have in my team, a young gerrard beats coutihno everyday of the week.

Stevie could still do a job in the 1st team as an impact player for the last 20.
A wealth of experience and talent.
We still have no one better with the dead ball set pieces.
In my opinion Rodgers couldn't get him out the door quick enough.
Tosser.

Gerrard was a wonderful player back in the day but he could not add anything to the first team now. He struggled in a p@ss poor MLS, his legs have gone.
Rodgers was not a tosser for letting gerrard go, it was the right time to do so.
Wobs, of course a young gerrard over couts (a young gerrard over pretty much anyone really) but gerrard is far from young now and I can't remember the last 30 yarder he scored.
Couts can and will be a top top player.

Gerrard's a Free-kick genius as well his long rangers are still the best in the world. His set pieces especially corners is miles better than Milner.

Gerrard will always be remembered as world class. Not just by supporters but fellow world class players too!

Is there any truth that Barcelona reps have met with Coutinhos in Brazil to discuss a potential move? I thought it was made up but i'm not so sure now. If so I guess it was only matter of time.

If Daniel Sturridge has a while left on his contract it may be hard to move him on as he would probably not get as good a deal at another club due to his injury history?
