The Citizens have apparently offerd an irrejectable contract to Skrtel. I believe they offered him 200.000 £ per month. Can any of you Eds confirm of deny this rumour? {Ed022's Note - It's utter crap to be blunt about it.}

Per month .... so Ł50,000 a week ?

He's probably on more than that now

JP

50k per week? lol.

Lest not forget that after tax that would drop to less than what some of our subs bench are paid

Why would they but Skrtel as they already have Kompany and Lescott

Sorry, I ment per week. My bad :)

{Ed022's note - Brand new player profile on Hulk of FC Porto. www.player-profiles.co.uk - Cheers all.}

26 May 2012 22:14:32
Where has this Riena nonsense come from?? If he had requested to leave it would be all over the media by now. What a load of rubbish.

It comes from a rumour from last Summer, soon after Malaga got taken over by big money men. Reina was identified as their top goal keeping target.

He should go he thinks he is good , but he has been rubbish since torres went.

He will go, he wants to go, has done for ages. are we desperate to want someone whos heart is not in LFC anymore. rightly or wrongly

26 May 2012 21:09:19
Apparently, Riise's contract is up this summer. Could be worth getting him on a free. {Ed022's Note - Pretty sure it isn't up this summer, perhaps next.}

Ha Ha Ha. I came on here especially to see if anybody would say "we should re-sign Riise" and low & behold somebody has!

He was only sold because of his tax situation at the time.

Glad I didn't disappoint you, but since Christmas, Enrique has been poor.

Own goal Riise. Can slot them at either end.

26 May 2012 20:59:34
Just a thought if we need a new No 2 keeper who could actually put some pressure on Reina.... Rob Green. Just heard he is on a free, English, better than Doni. {Ed022's Note - Last I checked Malaga were favourites to sign him.}

Tbh without the liverpool hat on, that would be a decent move for him.

No one, especially not an England Keeper, will want to play second fiddle. Which is what it would be with Reina there as well.

Look at Ruddy, he has played well this season and rose from relative obscurity to get into the England squad, going into a Euro Championship. Never would have happened if he didn't play first team football.

Rob Green has always been made for Arsenal in my opinion. Wenger might even have a go now that Green is open to contract offers and that Szczesny is flirting with going to Spain.

Well its not hard to be better than Doni

26 May 2012 20:42:37
If Pepe has get handed in transfer request get rid he has been awful for 2 years get Swanse Keeper in he's hungry and better than Pepe K.O.B

You are mad son

Then I don't know which games you've been watching if you think that mate. He might have had a few bloopers, although even that's a bit harsh, but he's been our saviour more than once. Definitely best keeper in the PL. {Ed022's Note - Really? Best in the PL? No way.}

Looks liverpool could be sinking. Of course some players will be looking for a way out when the managers we are being linked to are Martinez and Rodgers.

Agree. Tired of players holding us to ransom with transfer requests. If they want to go that badly, let them. Pepe has been too comfortable for far too long without the threat of having to fight for his place.

Have to agree with the Ed on this one. Reina is by no means the best keeper in the EPL. One of the best distributors of the ball perhaps, but his shot stopping and command of the box were really poor last season.

RDL

No way best keeper in PL he's had a shocking season

At one time I was more concerned about reina leaving than Torres but I think he needs some pressure put on him he's had some dodgy games but I still think he's the man.

He was the best in the prem a few years ago but every season he seems to be getting worse. But is that down to him or the defenders in front of him?

Personally I would start looking for his replacement now, if he has another poor season then I wuold let him go at the end of it.

Like other people have said already he looks to be in the comfort zone.

Wouldnt say better than pepe but if he goes then my first choice

26 May 2012 19:44:58
I just wanted to ask The_insider if the player definitely defiantly handed the transfer request in?

Puzzled

Of course not, he is just trying to get to us

A senior Liverpool player has defiantly handed in a transfer request believed to be  Pepe I'm still waiting to hear from my other contacts.

The_insider

Don't be so gullible. same goes for manager. until lfc make an announcement don't believe what you hear

Agree wait til an announcement is made but has the insider been spot on with any posts in the past just wondering {Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}

26 May 2012 19:41:31
Skrtel is not going to leave. Stop worrying about his departure because it is not going to happen. Watch his 'message to the fans' when he won the LFC player of the season award. ( I just hope he wasn't lying like a certain Spaniard #9 we used to adore.)

As much as I love KD's passion and whole-hearted commitment to LFC, he set the bar relatively low last season, therefore the next manager will not find it difficult to surpass our league position, especially if we spend wisely. On the other hand, if Newcastle's scouts continue to work their magic, and Spurs use their Bale/Modric money wisely, we will be in trouble again.

Also, Cavani is not an unrealistic target right now, however, I think Juve, Man U, and possibly Chelsea will be sniffing around as well. Our sheer Uruguay-ness may compensate for our lack of UCL football.

I'll be watching the reds play for the first time when they visit Toronto in June, and I'd love to see new exciting players to make up for the Euro absentees.

As per soccernet, the owners are trying to persuade Pep to take over LFC..Not sure whether that's great news or not..The senior player wanting out is Pepe Reina.

Good let him go. He was terrible last season

Sign the 19 year old German keeper

None of what you have said is true

Hes wanted out for the last 2 years. let him go. brad jones would have been a better option this year

If it's true, let him go. No player is bigger than the club and for the last year or two, it hasn't seemed as if he's wanted to be there. We need loyal, committed players going forward.

I suppose he's seen his mate Torres win the Champions League and FA Cup and now wants the same.

26 May 2012 19:18:11
Eds, happy watching international friendly..
Need ur opinion,
-Fiorentina interested in Aquilani. I think deal will be struck since Aquilani wont go back to lfc..anyone from Fiorentina that lfc interested?jovetic? Vargas?
-have lfc interested in javi garcia from benfica? Is it possible we can get him? I think he n lucas in the middle is perfect duo..

Thanks eds,

Jimmy'lfc {Ed002's Note - Jovetic would not be an option. Perhaps a deal could be done with Vargas. Garcia has signed a new deal at Benfica.}

26 May 2012 19:17:27
More and more news about Skrtel wanting out. Is this true? Any updates on this? He's a great player, would hate to see him leave. Plus he has a great WAG!

They all have great wags lol

Skrtel is nothing special, it city want pay 20m for him, thats fantastic

Skertal as had one good season , it was the season before that i used to hea how bad he was , when carra was playing all the time it was with agger , but it does show if a player get enough game time they come on in leas and bounds , look at lucas , he turned out ok its a pitty downing is talking longer to get into the british style of lay , even tonight he was poor , like he has been all season for us , it like since he came to us he does not have to do nothing or worked hard

26 May 2012 18:44:30
Hello Ed002,
not sure if Pepe handed in a transfer request. If so, Liverpool should go for Szczesny or Boruc. Thanks for you great work.

Vorm or Stegan for me!

-Shane.

I'd rather Frasier Forster sign Pepe leaves

Marc Ter Stegan all the way for me Pepe is LFC legend but I think this lad could and will surpass him

Red End

Should sign shay given initially. He must have 3 seasons left in him yet

Hugo loris or Ed22
AnfieldUSA

No chance of Szczeny. I like Al Habsi.

Boruc? I'd rather have Arphexad or Padelli back. Marc Anders Ter Stegen or JAck Butland would be the best way forward imo. If Brendan Rodgers becomes manager then perhaps Michel Worm may be a target.

Hi all

I received an e-mail from one of my contacts late last night!

A senior Liverpool player has defiantly handed in a transfer request as of right now it's believed to be  Pepe, I'm trying to get this confirmed by my other contacts.

The_insider

No I think it may be Skrtel

Or you could just be talking carp

Should try get the young German keeper

It was jay spearing fs

If any player hands a transfer request in then they can go, whoever they are. IF (and a big IF) he wants to go, get top dollar for him and go for someone like Craig Gordon, available for free. Spend the cash elsewhere in the squad.
IF true, loved your work Pepe and good luck in the future.

Red Scouse
Southern Section {Ed002's Note - I am assuming you are not thinking of replacing Skrtel or Suarez with Craig Gordon?}

If Pepe has then good luck to him. Had a poor season last year and if heart is not in it then we all move on. And the same goes for any other player who feels the same. Next year we need everyone at the club pulling him the same direction.

Dirks Engine Room

Hope Suarez

Why would this player have defiantly handed it in? Has someone told him not to but he has done anyway?

TSP

Once again NESV engineer players out the door, and cash in their pockets!

I wonder who owns the other 85% of Fenway Europe? Tom Hicks?

The funny thing is you all believed it.

26 May 2012 18:16:45
Hello Ed002,
will Liverpool look to buy a striker in the summer if noone leaves? {Ed002's Note - Yes, I suspect that they will buy a new striker regardless of movements in the summer.}

Yes Clint Dempsey

Andy Carroll has a massive opportunity to prove to europe how great a striker he is, he has shown good form for liverpool in past 4 week and England are going to need him playing at the top of his game i belive he could be young player of tournment, so if Liverpool sign striker he could be warming bench

26 May 2012 17:45:57
Hi eds just wondered how you would view the situations of Pacheco, Cole and Aquilani, with a new manager is there a possibility of them choosing to utilize these players or would FSG have marked them as non entities for LFC? Take care YNWA {Ed002's Note - It is hard to see any of them at Anfield next season.}

The only one that maybe, and it's a big maybe, there next season, is Joe Cole.

26 May 2012 17:17:42
If Martinez lands the job, I reckon he'll bring Moses and/or McCarthy with him

Hope you are right they would be two good additions and wouldnt have to break the bank to get them.

Ad El Habsi to that list to put some pressure on reina

Please not Moses

26 May 2012 16:22:15
eds are chelsea interested in hulk ? scored twice today ! great player ! oh if we could get him ................

collins {Ed002's Note - At the right price, yes, Chelsea are interested.}

Some people say hes a bit overrated as a player what are your thoughts on this ed? {Ed002's Note - I have no thoughts on the matter really.}

Hulk is overrated

26 May 2012 16:15:37
like i said aquilani to one of 4 teams in Italy one of them being Fiorentina.

Here is the story a day later... sorry for copy and past i know it takes up space.

Alberto Aquilani is not wanted by Milan, but is open to a Fiorentina move, says the Liverpool midfielder's agent.

He spent this season on loan at San Siro and the Rossoneri suggested they are not prepared to take up their option on the player.

The Italian international hopes to stay in Serie A anyway with Fiorentina, who today presented new director of sport Daniele Pradè to the media.

The new directors Eduardo Macia and Pradè respect him a great deal and we're waiting to talk to Liverpool,ť agent Franco Zavaglia told Radio Blu.

We'll see what happens. He said no to Fiorentina last year because of Pantaleo Corvino, but with Pradè it would be another matter.ť

Former Viola director of sport Corvino was let go this summer after five years in Florence.

..
I just hope we try and get Vargas in any deal.

Or jovetic....

I agree Jovetic would be the perferd choice but he would we very hard to get they don't sell the player they want to build a team around. Vargas on the other hand is 28 and they were going to sell him last summer and in January but didn't.

Remember reading Vargas had the worst shots on target % in Serie A so he would fit in perfectly with Liverpool's approach.

Puzzled {Ed002's Note - Not entirely but I lived there for something like 20 of the last 30 years and there is a very significant link from one of my wives (#2).}.

What has this got to do with? {Ed002's Note - Puzzled was curious and I answered him privately. So you have the answer, but what is the question?}

Ed, ain't u a woman? {Ed002's Note - "Aren't" not "ain't" - didn't you listen at all at school?}

Y rl all the posts on here about who we r gona get wen we havent got a f......n manager get a grip

Puzzled and ed002 should get a room and let the rest of us get on with LFC banter.

Or you could not comment about who needs a room... who cares he asked a question..... in private or she (not sure who puzzled is) and it does not even sound like its about a manager so you should be the one getting a grip mate JLFC

Ed002 are you a women just wondering {Ed002's Note - All man of course - still thinking of me?}

Ed2 is a woman chelsea fan but is in the know!
lfc4me

Ed2 is a woman chelsea fan but is in the know!
lfc4me {Ed002's Note - Chelsea fan?}

26 May 2012 14:50:23
hey eds who did we release this summer apart from aurelio who has gone to gremrio
taran
{Ed002's Note - Amoo who has gone to Preston.}

Dont u watch tv or read papers

26 May 2012 13:38:53
Do we have any interest in Benjamin Corgnet or Blaise Matuidi, both good players and were linked in the past {Ed002's Note - Much tougher to say at this time, but Manchester United, St Etienne, Lyon, Marseille, Arsenal, Juventus, Liverpool and Aston Villa have had folks watch Dijon's Corgnet but Newcastle and Lyon are the only team I know to have been approached Dijon regarding a possible transfer. At the moment, Lyon seem favourites with a figure around £6.5M being discussed.

If anything happens with Matuidi it will be after the Euros.}

26 May 2012 13:02:41
Ed, What is the transfer news on bas dost? Do you rate him as a player and will he be going to a bigger club this summer, possibly LFC ? 32 goals in 34 league games, nice. {Ed002's Note - Bas Dost is of interest to Wolfsburg, Valencia, Bayern Munich, West Ham and Aston Villa. There is unconfirmed interest from Inter and Spurs. Right now I think Wolfsburg looks the most likely destination.}

26 May 2012 12:32:22
We need a striker,2 wingers and a playmaker....
Maybe,

Moses(if martinez is our manager)
Belhanda
Shaqiri
Giroud

Shaqiri is going to Bayern

More chance of shakira than shaqiri as he's on his way to bayern. I would prefer her anyway!

Square tomato

Please not moses....

I'm French, and I can tell you that most of this players will be very difficult to buy: Giroud wants Champions League Football, and Liverpool are only in the Europa League. Shaqiri will go to Bayern this summer. Belhanda maybe, but Montpellier are in the Champions League groupstage, and 20M is a bit expensive for a young player who has done only ONE good season. And imo, I think Moses is not the kind of player we need.

Totally disagree Adam Johnson, Clint Dempsey and maybe Falcao will do

I can tell you now that none of these players will come to lfc apart from a little chance of moses, and catch up mate shaqiri will be at bayern, idiot.

26 May 2012 11:57:48
Hi eds who are we interested in? Then again we dont have a manager so i guess we dont know yet. Still if you have heard anything please could you say

Cheers JJ
{Ed002's Note - There is nothing to say on the transfer front right now.}

26 May 2012 11:24:53
Eds, couple questions on new players,
-for Right winger, Younes belhanda n ryad boudebouz will be a good choice for Liverpool. But i think belhanda will be high value after zidane comment about him. What is boudebouz worth? Isof btween 8-12m, very gud price. Skillfull,pacey.
-Is lfc looking to sell Skrtel to increase fund? Do you know if lfc already consider Skrtel's replacement? Dejan lovren maybe..
-Any names for new left back to compete with Enrique? Lfc need to find someone with direct approach to game. Enrique more to dribbling, just like glen.
-Is brendan Rodgers have no interest at all in taking over lfc manager post? With his football philosophy, i think we will be better team.
-lfc got any interest in any Free player this summer?

Thanks for the aswers Eds...

Jgomez'lfc
- {Ed002's Note - Subject to what may happen with new staff at Liverpool, there is confirmed interest in Belhanda from Inter, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and PSG and there is unconfirmed interest from Roma. The player says he wishes a move to Italy or Germany with Bayern Munich or Dortmund or to play for PSG if Italy Germany is not possible (seems he is not really sure where he wants to move to). A price of 30M euros has been quoted by Montpellier.

Ryad Boudebouz will leave Sochaux with Real Betis and Lyon showing an interest. Way back in the day interest was shown by PSG, Spurs and Liverpool and certainly both made tentative enquiries. Lyon would seem to be the most likely destination right now.

Lovren was of interest to Liverpool a year ago and it is true that there has been recent contact - but it was Lyon offering the player as available.}

So if Skrtel does go we could get Lovren as his replacement, he is a ball passing CB like Agger. or we got get Musacchio who we also have long term interest in.

both Musacchio(21) and Lovren(22) would cost around 10m euros and Skrtel would be around Ł18m since we slapped a Ł20m price tag on him.

Belhanda? don't get it ed, confirmed and unconfirmed interest shown by arsenal, chelsea and spurs, not too sure if you mentioned chelsea and spurs? both teams mentioned on a few blogs! Would that mean unconfirmed interest?, also seen interest in milito ( again blogs), one other spurs showing a very keen interest, and some are reporting that spurs chairman is not only tying up vertonghan but erikson as well? if this were the case we surely would look at lennon? {Ed002's Note - I have no interest in what blogs state about football transfers.}

26 May 2012 10:13:53
Does Lavezzi have a 25 million buy out clause in his contract?

I think he'd be a great signing!! {Ed002's Note - There is interest in Lavezzi from several clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit, PSG, Shakhtar, Inter and AC Milan. I think it would take a very high cash offer - more than 30M euros, some trading or a third-party ownership deal bid to get Napoli to sell the player who is unwilling to extend his existing contract which runs to 2015. Inter have offered 15M euro plus Marco Faraoni, Goran Pandev and Joel Obi but that offer is not acceptable to Napoli. Further bids have been made by Shakhtar and PSG although PSG said that their bid is really an exploration to see if a lower fee would be accepted. These are being considered by Napoli.}

26 May 2012 10:10:33
Hey Ed's, what's the chances of Marc Albrighton? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Liverpool.}

I'd love him at anfield

26 May 2012 10:09:56
Is it true that Man Utd have failed in an attemp to get Kagawa and do you think this could leave the door open for us? {Ed002's Note - No. I think he will end up at MU but alternative might be signing a new deal with Dortmund. Arsenal could be interested.}

26 May 2012 05:42:39
Read new articles today regarding Liverpool showing a interest for Hulk. in my opinion not worth 35mil and not suited to English football. If he gets tackled he just dives only have to knock the tv and he falls over. Just get Owen back on a free got to be worth it always get the goals but fitness shady tho. never less good back up

What micky the red devil never

No to Hulk and No to Owen. He has to be paid and would be sitting on the bench at best.

Owen? Next you'll want Fergie as our next manager.

Neither is Carroll worth 35m

Would Owen be to replace Aurelio on the treatment table?

Hulk is never going to come. but not suitable to the english game?? are you stupid. he couldnt be more suited big, strong and quick

I can never understand why some fans call for Michael Owen?
He had his chance at Liverpool. OK he scored goals, but his touch was awful. And his fitness has been the worst of any player in the last 10 years. Ledley King has played more football.
But, the biggest point is that he showed his true colour. He proved what he was about.
And look how that worked out.
About as deserving of a premier league medal as Terry is of getting to hold our European Cup

Hulk would be perfect in the EPL he's got all the attributes needed along with his physical strength.
skurks

I know Owens old and all but if we could get him on a low wage i wouldnt mind i think he is what we need at the moment someone that can put the ball in the net just my opinion

JJ

How can we be interested in hulk when we haven't even got a manager??

I'd hate to have Hulk at Anfield

And of course owen never dived! Keep sucking your dummy

Wanting Owen back is the most stupid comment I have read on here so well done to you! Although he was my child hood hero and still have a signed photo of him, he is not the player he was since joining Madrid he has gone down hill quickly! Big Mike

Can't believe how daft half these posts are, Owen back, Torres back, Rafa back, jesus lets just call back sean dundee and give the next manager a proper relegation battle !

Hulk is a great player but he still won't be coming tho

This won't happen as Hulk will sign for a club in the champions league. Chelsea are currently favourites. Although, I must say he is very overatted from what I have seen!!

He is a big player, fast, strong, and if you run fast you could get over easily.

Hulk is overated and Owen was past it three years ago. His brother Andy is a better player, maybe we should sign him.

Owen sh*ep on liverpool, he ran his contract down and left for a pittance, he has then gone on to play for the spam, LFC should not consider traitors

26 May 2012 03:32:56
Free transfers?

Strikers; Michael Owen or Hugo Rodallega.

Wingers; Junior Hoilett, Tranquillo Barnetta, or Jefferson Farfan.

Central Midfielders; Mohamed Diame or Mathieu Flamini.

Goalkeepers; Craig Gordon or Rene Adler.

{Ed002's Note - Adler and Farfan are no longer available.}

Thats the worst purchases ive ever heard of we would get relegated straight away

Would you rather get hoilett for massive wages or see suso, sterling or silva given a go, we also don't need gordon but i do think diame could be a shout. but i want to see hendo and shelvey continue their development
derryred

Nicolas Lodeiro

Olic? {Ed002's Note - Ivica Olic wants first team football assured and there is no way Bayern Munich are prepared to do that. There was confirmed interest from Galatasaray, Lazio and Wolfsburg and he has chosen to move to Wolfsburg with a significant signing on fee.}

26 May 2012 01:08:45
would u sell suarez to chealsea for 50 mil plus torres?? {Ed002's Note - Suarez will not be going to Chelsea.}

Considering id sell him for 50 million, then yes

Yes I would

Totally nonsense.
If this happens in real world then owners will happily accept it.......

No what are you talking about

. That's crazy talk

50 million and Torres for Suarez, what you been smoking m8, whether you like it or not Torres is a champions league winner and that adds value to a player however awful there form has been. Liverpool linked on here to many big expensive players on here, let me give you a reality check there not coming to Liverpool when they can sign for a club in the champions league. Until Liverpool get back into the top 4 no big player will be interested.

UNBIASED VIEW

So you value suarez at 100 million ..hello ?

Is this a wind up or what, why would chelsea want to buy suarez for 50 million when they can sign whoever they like, face facts suarez no where near worth 50 million not prolific enough. EDTHERED.

25 May 2012 23:48:42
According to various media outlets, Roberto Martinez HAS NOT been offered the Liverpool job, and maintain that the recruitment process is still continuing.

Also a question for the Ed's, having heard that Kevin Strootman is waiting until after the Euros to decide on his future.

I know that Man united and Inter Milan are very much in for him, is there any chance that we might be in for him?

Dan {Ed016's Note - Not that I have heard of)

25 May 2012 23:35:44
Two random comments regarding two idiots:

Thankyou Dave Whelan for keeping us all up to date on the Martinez situation. This guy is ridiculous. I understand his position, but why does he keep making comments to the media? What a dink. Have some pride and professionalism douche bag.

Second is Hazard. "I will go to Chelsea or one of the Manchester Clubs". Sorry guys, I know he is talented, but I would rather resign Aurelio than sign this loser. I hope he fails miserably. Imagine if Suarez came out and said "I will play for Real Madrid or Barcelona only." Surely we'd love him.

{Ed016's Note - Hazard is a muppet, glad he goes to a club full of them)

Hazard is an idiot. Whelan is not. Whelan has done an awful lot for Wigan.

I won't be confiding in whelan in the near future...he will be ringing the papers and telling them what i eat for breakfast

Dave Whelan is the Harry Redknapp of chairmen, the press j'adore him because he's always willing to flap his mouth into a microphone. He's probably an alright guy but he's never short of a word or two about Liverpool and other clubs, maybe he should shut up and keep his snout out of it.

On the plus side tomorrows papers are saying he's buddies with fergie who will retire at the end of next season. Remember the last time :D

Agreed with you completely, especially on Hazard. One wonders how he will fit that enormous head of his down the tunnel. I try not to wish ill on someone, but I hope he turns out to be a crap player when put on a bigger stage.

RDL

I don't like hazard either, he thinks hes all "that" but hey, he is one good player.

Green eyed monster ?

Pardoe

Dave Whelan Also told people yesterday, that his good friend Sir Alex Ferguson (now 70) will retire at the end of next season.

Also, rumours are that Hazard has agreed to go to Manchester United, despite all the cr@ppy cryptic comments he's been making about playing in blue.

Personally i think City will pay him twice as much wages and out bid United, despite Platini's warnings to City about paying astronomical wages and transfer fees with the incoming spending rules.

Back to Hazard, he has immense ability and has the potential to get even better, i think most people will agree he's quality. But, like you mention he is a bit of a sausage. Good news is that he will surely get a hostile welcome after being such a mŁdia whorŁ about where he will go.

Agree , most clubs like to do there business in private but how can you when everytime there's a update Dave Whelans straight on ssn

FSG are keeping everything buttoned up and so the papers are just making up pretty much making up stuff. Dave Whelan said a few things and the papers have just run with his stupid comments.

Eden Hazard is after money. Got a feeling he will be more trouble then he is worth.

Prelen

Ha ha, ed16 that comments just made my day. spot on. kyb

I've noticed that Dave Whelan is giving a running commentary about the LFC managers job. OK one of our potential managers could be his current manager but he just loves the sound of his own voice way too much.

Hazard has said he's playing in blue and Wigan isn't that far away from Manchester, could that be where he's heading

Whelan is trying to spoil the deal by making as public as possible knowing that Liverpool want it kept private.

Cannot believe whelan is acting like this, he just needs to have some respect and why has he now brought forward martinez descision date !! i feel he is trying to push liverpool into handing him the job now as he probs wants rid of martinez and hey why not get some compo at the same time and save him pushing him out next season if hes down the bottom again !he keeps bumming martinez up about how good he is and hes the best young manager in europe so why does he want to get rid by bringing the date forward ?

Hazard is overrated and whelan is only trying to benefit his club to attract another up and coming manager
derryred

We should hire whelan as our PR man.

Post above is spot on saying "Whelan is trying to spoil the deal"...

There is no other reason for his conduct. He should be busy looking for a replacement but he clearly thinks his mind games will pay off.

I agree with the Whelan comment,SHUT UP!!
