Evening Eds,
With Pochettino looking likely to be leaving The Saints could this be a sign of the inevitable exodus of players?

On the flip side, with Rodgers signing a new deal (any idea of the terms?) Is the narrative now in place for the first signings to be confirmed.

Do you see LFC getting transfers wrapped up early or will the big names always be after the WC?

Also any further info on Lallana, Lovren and Clyne?

Many thanks

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new.}

Strong rumour going round that Adam Lallana will have a medical tomorrow at England's training camp. Cheers

Pedro and bojan links are a smokescreen for the imminent arrival of will Hughes

Believable14 Unbelievable80

Ah but Will Hughes is a smokescreen for the arrival of Konoplyanka which makes it a double smokescreen. Ian Ayre came up with the idea from watching 60's spy flicks!

Agree6 Disagree0

Ha ha!

I wondered how long we would have to wait for the first "smokescreen" rumour.

Hy Ed2
I know u dnt want to get involved in suarez questions but I just want to know does lfc actively looking for suarez replacement or does they expect suarez to stay.
And also I m studying somewhere sky pundit not remember his name he sad he got information from ssn that lfc bid 24m for pedro wht u goim make of that.
thanxxxx

Believable5 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool know that there will be interest in Suarez. If the rumours of all of these players being of interest to Liverpool is true, then they are looking for a replacement. If, perhaps, rumours are not all true, then maybe they are looking to next season with him, and just keeping a watching brief.}

Exports stating Juve have bid 13 million pounds for Sanchez at weekend. Other reports ate stating we have made a 23 million pound offer.
Hope this is true as would have a brilliant front three in Suarez, Sturridge and Sanchez.

I really don't understand the thought process of most people on this site! An alarming number of you are convinced we are going to sign Balotelli and Sanchez based on hearsay and lazy Journalism even after eds002 has said we have no interest. Yet when eds 002 says we may have an interest in La Liga's goalkeeper of the Year Levant's Keylar Navas nobody bats an eyelid! i'm seriously baffled. eds 002 can you shed some more light on Liverpool's 'interest' in Navas please?

Believable16 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas is an option for Atletico Madrid. Addfitionally, Marseille, Wigan and Everton have shown interest in the player in recent months, but the strong interest from Milan has now gone. I am aware that Liverpool had the player watched earlier in the year, but a move to simply sit on the bench at Liverpool is not at all likely - he would want commitments about playing time. Levante would like to keep him but it might be difficult.}

Thankyou eds002. I really believe we need Bergovic he is world class. Although Mignolet is a great shot stopper we need a commanding keeper when coming for crosses as this instills confidence in the defence. At the very least as eds 001 suggests get the goalkeeping coach that made Pepe Reina so majestic when he was in the onion bag for Liverpool. We have to act soon as this position could become our Achilles heel

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Begovic will likely move in the summer with Real Madrid, Arsenal and Borussia Monchengladbach showing some interest.}

Not understanding something doesn't mean it's wrong, if they want to believe their dream target will sign, so be it. Nobody knows until the Window shuts

Agree0 Disagree1

Wez I appreciate your sentiments. But Sanchez is a maybe at best but Ballotelli, come on you think we need that kind of fresh hell at Anfield? He's a ticking time bomb and I feel will only realise his potential later on in his career when he matures and grows up. Besides I think his wages would be astronomical and beyond us.

I kinda get it, we finished second in the league and we have CL, which can attract a higher calibre of player. People get carried away when we're linked with players like Sanchez, however lazy the journalism because he's a great player. i'd love to have him at the club! People believe what they want to believe. Eds can say til they're blue in the face that we're looking at a relatively unknown player from the Ukraine league, yet a nobody on Twitter can say we're looking at Iniesta and people will believe that over what the Eds say. However silly it is it's human nature. We're all excited about who we may sign in the summer given how the season went, expecting some quality to come in. All I'll say is whoever we do get, I trust Brendan to bring in the right players, and if it's not Sanchez or Draxler or any other 'marquee' signing it must be for a good reason. We may watch a handful of these matches involving all these players, but the staff at LFC know a lot more than we do.

I heard that Liverpool have dropped their interest for Konoplyanka because Liverpool are now interested in Bernard of Shatkar? Have you heard anything?

Believable12 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has not spoken to Dnipro about Konoplyanka since January - so it is nothing to do with Bernard.}

But we do have interest in Bernard Eds?

Hi eds

Has there been any interest in Rui Patricio? From Liverpool or from anywhere else?

Would suit the Rodgers goalkeeping profile in that he is commanding and his distribution is superb.

Thanks a lot

Believable2 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - Last summer Sporting's Rui Patricio attracted interest from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, two clubs whao are currently in the market for a new goalkeeper. I am not aware of recent interest though.}

Hey Eds. Really appreciate the hard work you put into this site

Do oyu know of any developments with Pepe Reina and Danny Agger and the possibilty of them signing for Napoli?

Do Barca still hold interest in Agger?

Thanks in advance

Believable8 Unbelievable10

{Ed002's Note - Napoli has an interest in Agger but want to buy a player rather than take one on loan. I am not aware of Barcelona being interested in Agger at this time. Napoli remains interested in Reina but I doubt we will hear more until after the world cup.}

26 May 2014 15:20:12
Ed - does your reply mean we are looking to loan out Agger rather than sell?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't think Liverpool has entirely gotten it's collective head around what they want to do at centre back. They are overloaded and need a clear out. I am expecting Liverpool to sell him but they need to figure out the big picture. Coates' situation is becoming a little complicated in that Liverpool will not commit to his future at the club or away from the club. I would very much expect Liverpool to sell Coates as well.}

Coates will go and play at the world cup so Liverpool are hoping he has a good one and thus his transfer fee will be increased. I expect Agger and Reina to join up with Rafa for good. Maybe we are interested in a Napoli player?

Agree0 Disagree1

If David Luiz is worth £50million then Agger is worth at least £45million. let's hope Barca, Real, PSG, Zenit, Anzhi or an MLS team bid for him. I don't want us to do business with Napoli or any other Italian clubs. They always get their players in the lowest possible price.

Hi Eds. Heard some news saying we are reportedly after Balotelli if Suarez leaves. Is there any chance he will want to come or is it all just speculation?
Thanks a lot

Believable3 Unbelievable46

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what he wants to do, but I personally would not see him seamlessly slotting in to replace Suarez.}

He would easily replace the trouble and controversy he causes. Lol

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe Brendo can sort him out like he did with Louis and turn him into the player he can be.

It's Mario Balloteli this morning. Are these journalists just plucking random names out of a hat?

Believable2 Unbelievable34

{Ed002's Note - We dealt with that yesterday DBol.}

Reading that a fee has been agreed for Steven Caulker Eds. That only personal terms are to be settled and he has instructed his agent to find him dwellings in the Liverpool area.
You have said before that we are chasing others more vigorously so is this report to be taken serious?
It stems from posts of an admin (much like yourselves) on the cardifcityforum site and apparently he is pretty much reliable with the stuff he writes.

If its true, even though I thought we would go for better, I will give him my full support.
BR obviously see's something in him that he can work with to improve the team.

Cheers.

Believable3 Unbelievable28

{Ed002's Note - I can't really help here, the only confirmation I have regarding Caulker is that Southampton were showing an interest - presumably as a replacement for Lovren who is interesting others including Roma and Liverpool.}

Hey Eds, Do you know of any serious interest from clubs in Ilori right now? I know Granada have been impressed with him but I've been wondering if any other clubs are considering making a bid for him. Thanks

Believable3 Unbelievable22

{Ed002's Note - Right now I think teams from Spain will be looking for a loan due to their financial issues and there will be options. Previous interest from PSV remains.}
