Ed002, read something about a few clubs interested in Joe Allen this transfer window. Think he's a good squad player myself, but you think he will attract any offers?

{Ed002's Note - I understand that Leicester has a possible interest in Joe Allen for January. I was mentioned previously that Swansea and Southampton were interested in the summer - that interest may remain.}

Question for Ed01

Are we looking to offload Sturridge given his constant injury problems and high wages?

It has to come to a point where you feel he is never going to get a run in the side. Shame as he is up there as one of the leagues best.

{Ed001's Note - not yet, the decision has not been made to offload him, but there is a month at least to assess the squad before Klopp can make that kind of decision.}

Hi All,

One quick update on loan players.

Allan has won the Finland League title with Senajoen which I didn't realise when checking results today.

The media are repoting it as a shock win.

Well done Allan!

Also if you get the chance the Liverpool Echo have a clip of the saves pulled off by Ward this weekend. A couple of them are really top class.

Hi Eds/Macca,

I would love to know why the owners decided to go for Klopp rather than Ancelotti, any inside information on this?

Cheers
Willie.

{Ed001's Note - Carlo was not ready to return, so there was no choice to be made.}

Question for Ed1 if you are about.

Whats your insight on Studge? In the sense that there are a lot of rumours flying about (and I think Gerrard hinted at something similar in his book) That unless Studge is 100% fit he won't play and he has a weak mentality. i'm not in favour of pushing players too hard and ruining their health of course but it doesn't seem he is reliable and it is frustrating as he is a quality striker when not on the treatment table.

Any insight/opinion would be much appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - Sturridge is right not to play unless 100%, it is nothing to do with mental weakness, it is to do with his body. If it is not 100%, that is when it breaks down, and that is what we are seeing constantly. The change in training, the big step up in fitness required under Jurgen Klopp, has already hurt him. Some people, those with a less explosive pace, can continue when half cocked, just by being careful. Someone like Sturridge, he simply can't, as the power he generates is so enormous it strains the body constantly. He needs to be managed carefully, and to change his lifestyle, but other than that there should be no long term issue to keeping him fit. The lifestyle is a big thing though.}
