LFC are in Advanced Talks with Napoli, Bayern & PSG in a Stunning attempt to Bring in 3 Players, Inler, Shaqiri & Pastore.

Calm down Pinocchio

Agree11 Disagree0

If your going to copy and paste a rumours from twitter, don't copy and paste one of the most unreliable accounts on the site.

Agree3 Disagree0

As much as this would be the greatest thing ever. Just won't happen.

Agree5 Disagree0

Football Vertex (Twitter account) is having you on mate. It's a fake account. Used to be called MUFCIrishFans supposedly.

Agree3 Disagree0

And pigs fly.

Agree1 Disagree1

If true i'm guessing it's Liverpool's casting the net strategy and are only planning on bringing in 1 (on loan).

I can't see all three coming in maybe Inler and Pastore both on loans but don't think Bayern would allow Shaqiri to leave so late on in the transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree1

Would sign shaqiri.maybe Pastore but no inler and not all 3. Two full backs needed. a left winger. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

LFC_Forlife

mate, if you believe that then you are even more optimistic than I am, lol. I've always said to wait until the window closes but also am worried that with no recruits to help the team we will end up with more than eggs on our faces.

Agree1 Disagree1

Mate that wouldn't even happen on football manager

Agree1 Disagree2

Did you not even read that back to yourself before hitting the post button and think, hang on a second, that sounds ridiculous? I better not post this, JK Rowling could not make that one up!

Website vertex saying reds in talks over Inler, Shaquri, Pastore

Believable20 Unbelievable130

Pastore is a possibility I believe since many news outlets are reporting cabaye is heading to PSG in this transfer window, so they might want to offload a player. Inler is a maybe since napoli is not in champions league and far from the hunt for the scudetto with juventus and roma leading the pack, he might see a move to Liverpool as a good option and help push for a top 4 spot. hopefully benitez will be kind to his former club. Shaqiri is maybe a dream to high, i'm pretty sure he's happy playing his trade although on a limited basis with probably the best club in the world at the moment, why would he want a loan move away. instead of shaqiri I think a good midfield option would be konoplyanka or if we want a winger than possibly yarmolenko. both good, technical, and strong players who I think can make it in the premier league. thoughts?

How many of them are there?
A.Moran

Agree2 Disagree0

No chance of any signings coming in think we will miss out on top four Luis to leave in summer and Rodgers to go also unless they give him all of that money for transfers and even then that might not be enough to keep him which would be a real shame as I think he could deliver if he was backed with real money not the type of amounts they have given him so far think he worked 2 miracles in Sturridge and counthinho but can't find those type of people every wind so FSG either back him or sell up and let someone come in that will put they're money were there mouth is lot of talk little action YNWA

Agree4 Disagree4

Where's Rodgers going to go? Spuds, Newcastle? Give me a break.

Yevhen Konoplyanka is a very intelligent player that will add creativity to any squad. He can play anywhere across the front line but excels out wide with his close ball control, accurate passing, good crossing and decent shooting. He is attracting interest from Arsenal, Benfica & PSG but we have also had an eye on him after since we made an enquiry in 2013. There is interest from Fiorentina, Shalke, Zenit, Galatasaray and several other clubs from around Europe. tv is reporting that he is available for around £14m which I feel is lazy journalism and his true valuation is much higher. Konoplyanka would go straight into our first team on the wide left should we acquire him, dropping Coutinho to the CAM role where he will be most productive in the end of season run in.
I would personally sign Yevhen Konoplyanka, Ogenyi Onazi from Lazio and and a CB who can organise our back line.

Eds do you know anything about Turan? Reports are that we want him. He's got a 30m+ clause tho!

Believable6 Unbelievable41

{Ed001's Note - Atletico are loathe to part with anyone while they are in with such a good chance of winning La Liga.}

27 Jan 2014 20:42:47
Can assaidi be called back, we seem desperate for a winger and he's got quality but never started 1 league game for us( much worse players been given more of a chance then him by rodgers) assaidi is doing well in a very poor stoke team as well he could be better with more quality around him. What do u think eds? Rodgers clearly doesn't like him for some reason

Believable7 Unbelievable26

{Ed001's Note - I don't believe he can be recalled.}

What is clear as day is that Rodgers is getting very frustrated by the lack of bessiness the club seem able to do mark my words unless they back him I think he will start to question if he can achieve what he wants and we want and may see his future else where FSG wake up we are LFC not a Mickey Mouse club that will except second best

Agree4 Disagree0

Wasn't the previous response that he was his attitude was all wrong?

Eds001 what about going after siggi again, I no he spurned us b4 but he must b regretting it now and isn't get much playing time under Sherwood. Defo worth considering in my view.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - it is unlikely to happen, he got a big pay packet for joining Spurs, way above what we were prepared to pay him.}

27 Jan 2014 23:43:08
Assaidi loves Liverpool but he was never given a fair chance, it's obvious he needs to be a little stronger but he's getting back for stoke and helping the full back, the lad has ability and we have no squad, carra said 1 Monday night football after he scored against Chelsea he was a Monday to Friday player(great in training)? Well shouldn't he get a chance on the Saturday to au then because he only played in cups

Agree1 Disagree0

For as well as Rodgers has the team playing, he has bought quite a few players that haven't worked. He needs to utilize Aspas, Borini, Moses, Cissokho, Ilori etc or sell/return loans an try again. I don't blame FSG for being wary.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sherwood has said their midfield is overloaded, go on BR put a bid in 4 siggi!

Ed001, do we have an interest in Shaqiri? I'm not finding a definitive answer! If yes, it'll be great to have him.
Cheers

Believable17 Unbelievable18

{Ed001's Note - I am not aware of any interest right now, but he is a fringe player, so he could become the target of a last minute move if no other wide man can be obtained. That is why he is the subject of so many rumours, it is easy to put his name forward as he is available, so there is a good chance of getting it right that he moves.}

27 Jan 2014 20:16:14
I no its hard to say but is there a good chance tom ince will sign for us thannks

Hi eds,
I'm just wondering is there any interest from us in yohann cabaye? I know psg are interested! Also eds do you see Liverpool signing anyone at all thi window? I know you must be sick of this question but I do not know whether anything has changed at all?
Thanks in advance guys! Keep up the good work!

Believable3 Unbelievable29

{Ed001's Note - we haven't moved for him and it would be pointless to even consider him as he wants the PSG move. No, I still don't expect anyone.}

Newcastle have accepted a bid by PSG. Cabaye will have his medical on Wednesday.

Hi Ed's - just been reading some reports that we are interested on Konoplyanka but that deal in the summer is more likely. Do we hold any interest in him?
Great efforts through the transfer window eds keeping us up to date!

Believable20 Unbelievable14

{Ed001's Note - yes, we made an enquiry last summer.}

So ed, do you think we stand any chance to get him this window? I really do think Konoplyanka would be awesome, better than Salah or Shaqiri, although he would be more expensive, too.

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - probably not, no.}

I would just like to say to FSG please wake up smell the coffee! We are in a great position this year the best for ages! Brendan is the man for the job of that I am 100% sure it's all well and good Rodgers coming out in the media saying FSG are great very supportive etc etc but if you heard the interview on the other day it was clear he was gutted and very frustrated with the Salah deal not going through he can only do so much with what he has got available to him and with what he has done so far in his short time at the club I for one think has been outstanding we can't continue to not spend if FSG are unwilling or more to the point unable to fund the manager then please move aside and let someone else come in I really don't want to be negative but I think that sometimes you need to face facts and the fact is at the moment we just ain't cutting it in the transfer market( hope you post this as first time poster ) YNWA

Agree2 Disagree0

Once again a player linked with us is going to another club INCE going to swansea! We are Liverpool what is going on IAN? FSG? BACK THE MANGER OR MOVE ON! YNWA

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - it is up to the player to make the choice, all clubs matched the asking price.}

27 Jan 2014 16:22:10
Eds is Ince being looked at on loan or a permanent signing. I personally thinks its not a bad option tbh, yes he's been with us b 4 but so what. And if he has kicked on since then surely he's worth it. Can he defend and track back Eds?

Believable14 Unbelievable15

{Ed001's Note - loan until end of season, perm in summer is the idea. No he can't defend, and he doesn't do much tracking back.}

I don't know how much truth there is in this but I am told he has travelled to Swansea this afternoon to hold discussions about a loan move there for the rest of the season.

Agree2 Disagree2

Why not give Ibe a chance instead?

Agree8 Disagree0

Sorry Ed but I watched Ince a lot and he does defend, and track back to, I also remember when he played for us against Northampton and he defend better than anyone else and played with lots of passion, cleared to off the line and made numours tackles

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but he has changed a lot recently, your knowledge is outdated.}

Possibly because he's been playing for his dad, at a club he thinks he too good for, my have damaged his work rate and effort then

Agree0 Disagree2

Is it likely we will sign him or not sorry no u don't like answering that

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - it is up to him to choose, but he will probably want out of the area, his attitude has not done him any favours. His dad has done him even less.}

Question WHEN ARE we going to realise we need to move quickly to seal deals YNWA please for gods sake back Rodgers give him what he needs and let's get back into European football and then attract top class talent and make a push for the league let's not through away our best chance in years!

he will end up like aspas or assaidi or borini. young player with potential. NOT Champs league quality.

Both Liverpool and Southampton's press conferences today ended with comment embargos? some business going on? Lallana? Clyne? YNWA

Believable14 Unbelievable57

I would love to have Adam Llalana but let's be honest it won't happen. Most likely a coincedence.

What does this comment embargo mean? Does it mean they are forbidden to speak about transfers? I would love it to be any of either lallana, Rodriguez, shaw or Schneiderline!

Believable1 Unbelievable9

Liverpool have put a late bid in for Tom Ince. Why? Why? Why? He's not good enough! And please he's not going to help us to get in the Top 4. Absolute joke!

Believable77 Unbelievable34

We will be the laughing stock of the PL soon- Manchester United get Mata and we might get an untried, over rated kid. 4th spot more likely with Ince in the squad? No chance.

Agree4 Disagree0

Would be a good signing and would not cost over the odds. I would welcome him.

Ben Smith said, contrary to reports, I've heard we are not after Ince'. He's pretty reliable on occasions, so still speculation at the mo

{Ed001's Note - it has come direct from his dad.}

Seriously don't know what the so called transfer committee are up to. Short in centre midfield and we keep going for wingers!?! Wtf

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously a decent player but we need to shop in Harrods not poundland if we want champs league!

I saw Ince in Liverpool on Sunday night at the Philharmonic. Thankfully it was just Ince snr at a Bobby Womack gig.

Hi Eds,
Disappointing news if we don't get shaqiri, he's just what we need.
Also, do you know if we have looked at Marco hoger from shalke? He's at a good age and has CL experience. He's out for the season but is a summer move possible?

Believable4 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - not a clue sorry.}

27 Jan 2014 14:25:25
hye eds, thanks for keep reply my post, I m really appreciate your work,
just one to ask, do liv have starting bid shaqiri and gomes?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - no.}

27 Jan 2014 14:04:59
Hi eds,
What's the craic with Shaqiri, have we any genuine interest or is it just the usual transfer gossip? Can't find anything using the search, I'm assuming its nonsense but just thought I'd ask you guys out of curiosity.
Cheers.

Believable3 Unbelievable7

{Ed001's Note - it seems he is on the fringes and considering his future, so he is being linked with everyone, on the premise that when he does move somewhere they can say they got it right and conveniently forget the 30 other clubs they linked him with. Right now, I don't know of any interest from us, though it depends on so much. I wouldn't rule him out entirely, but I have no idea if he would be interested in a move to us, which seems unlikely.}

It's getting ridiculously hard to believe anything these days, until someone officially signs its difficult to know if it's rumour or not. Cheers for the reply though, appreciate the info.

Agree0 Disagree0

Here is something I can actually help with. Shaqiri wanted to move to Liverpool but Bayern outbid us but he did want to come to us at the time, I have no idea if he is still interested but he supported Liverpool when he was young living in Kosovo. How do I know this? I have a friend who was friends with the family living in Kosovo and still keeps in contact with Xherdan's brother.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - cheers for that, probably explains the link - his agent will have tried to get us interested if that is the move he wants.}

Would b a good signing if we can pull it off in jan or the summer but eds can u tell me why he has fell out of favour he looks a very decent player seems strange really a bit like the mata situation at chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - because they have Robben and Ribery.}

27 Jan 2014 13:45:02
Rory Smith from the times reporting that Liverpool are definatley interested in Niguez. Srry for the repeating questions Eds, just wondering, is he for the summer or now?

Believable10 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - now. Though he is 'one for the future'. It might be a transfer that drags on though, like Sturridge did, as we are not meeting valuations again.}

Ed so he is not one that can come into the team and help now? Is Gomes more probable and at first team level now?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he can come into the team and help now, but he is not really going to come in and be an improvement. He is more of the same level, in my opinion, with potential to be much better. I have no idea about Gomes.}

Sorry Ed001 but just to clarify your point - would you think Nigez would be about the same level as our team with Lucas or do you mean without Lucas?

Just trying to clarify as if he would be roughly as good as Lucas right now (I know he hasn't been at his best but he's still vital) then the likes of this could be a very good and important signing.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - without Lucas he would be in the team, with it, I think he would struggle to get in ahead of Lucas or Henderson. No point discussing Gerrard, he won't be dropped.}

Dear ed
was just wondering and correct me if i'm wrong.
isn't he currently at loan till end of the season?
how would his transfer go through now if its actually true?
appreciate it

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - a player on loan can be recalled and sold during a transfer window. It might require the club that has him loaned out paying compensation to the club that were loaning him though.}

Ok thanks Ed001, basically I don't know anything of the player but if he's not an upgrade on Lucas then he could still improve the squad short term and maybe the team long term. I personally would have liked to have signed Wanyama in the summer, a full season rotating and giving Lucas proper competition and then he'd be settled and, imo, ready to take over from Lucas if Lucas hadn't returned to his pre-injuries form (which he hasn't).

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jan 2014 13:35:43

Afternoon Eds, I know a few years ago there was talk of us looking at Defour (not sure if this was true). Do you know if Rodgers has any interest in him? Just wondered as Fulham have been linked and if £5m is accurate that seems fairly reasonable to help our midfield.

Thanks very muc

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - I believe he is no longer of interest to the club. Plus he is likely to stay now, they sold the guy who was keeping him out of the team.}

Thanks Ed001. Like you I am very pessimistic that we will get anyone in now.

Hi Eds

I am repeating because posted twice and it's not being shown. Did you get any response regarding Gokhan Inler from Napoli? Few reports now suggesting a swap deal with Dagger. I can't think that we would look at a 29yo? Can we dismiss this?

Believable4 Unbelievable6

{Ed001's Note - ed002 is out for now, he was the one dealing with it, so I don't know.}

Hope it's a joke but talk we are looking to keep Moses now so BR has been saying he only wants to buy players that improve the team he does not!

If salah turns out to be crap I'm sure we will be in there loaning him out next year helping to make room for Chelsea to buy better!

Believable11 Unbelievable22

A player does not become poor overnight.
Granted Moses has not been at his best for the first half of the season. He has admitted that himself.
What he needs is a good run in the team.
IMO he was one of the best players on Saturday.
We don't see him in training but if BR thinks he is good enough then that's ok by me.
Rather than supporters slagging him off maybe we should get behind the guy and let's see if he can improve enough to earn a contract.
I mean, people on here did the same with Lucas and Henderson at the beginning of there LFC career's. Should we get rid of these players too?
vrcomp
Y.N.W.A.

Agree6 Disagree0

All he said was that if Moses keeps working hard and improves, then he may look to keep him. You may want to read the full interview before ripping into BR. Moses played well Saturday too.

Agree0 Disagree1

Even if we weren't, BR cannot say it can he? That would just drain whatever confidence Moses has at the moment. This seems like an attempt at motivating the young man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well it just seems that we missed out on salah and signing
Moses is just a back up now, ok salah could still be poor yet but I'd rather have given j ibe the game time than waste it Moses

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to win games now, and so testing youngsters is not a priority like having the first team gel. Nothing against Moses just saying could play a big role now that he's settled don't curse the name you will be moaning soon haha

27 Jan 2014 12:11:38

vrcomp
Y.N.W.A.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

{Ed001's Note - how can we go back in for him when we never went in for him to begin with? We have had him scouted, but no more, as of yet.}

Sorry ED001 if it read that we made a bid for him. I meant, as I said we were linked with him not that we ever made on offer.
Sorry if it caused any confusion.
vrcomp

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no worries, I just needed to make it clear in my answer to anyone reading. It was either that or spend the next week being asked about our bid for him!}

27 Jan 2014 11:26:55
Focusing on our own club: time is ticking and a move for anybody seems increasingly unlikely. Instead of chasing a left winger could we not give Jordan Ibe more game time? Has been impressing and, despite his age, shows huge promise. And surely blooding a youngster sooner rather than later is a good idea?

Only name I have heard mentioned was from a friend within the club who said, and I know this isn't new, that Fernando (The Octopus) is on the radar - IF the club pay over the odds for a man whose contract coming to an end they will get him. It is dependent on how necessary the club see's the signing in January.

Believable19 Unbelievable2

Since his contract is expiring soon why don't we try to sign him for next season? If we are so keen on him it would be sensible to sign for free instead of making a bid. It would certainly mean that having him signed up for next season we would be negotiating from a position of strength to get him now, just like Tottenham getting Holtby last season.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It would not be for free - it would be for a significant signing on fee.}

A few reports today suggest he may be on his way to Man Utd.

Agree0 Disagree1

I would not be surprised, that have the financial means and arguably the will to pay over the odds for a player with 6 months remaining on his contract - he would cost, I guess, about 8million. I doubt the owners will sanction that amount of money for a player whose contract is almost expired. My fingers are crossed but from the tone of voice my friend was speaking in he was obviously not in the throes of enthusiasm. Might be another near miss.

dont know what Inler would improve atm. shaqiri on the other hand is a very good player, but what to do w Sterling then? he's on a good run, though we could use some depth in wide positions. but would rather have the man raheem wreak havoc there

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know by now that "advanced stage" means no talks have taken place when it comes to LFC transfers.

I'd only take Inler in a loan swap with Agger.
