I have read a few reports of us making a move for Dzsudzsak, you know anything on this ed? {Ed001's Note - only that we have looked at PSV, not who we are looking at, though I don't see anyone else in their team worth looking at myself.}

27 Mar 2011 22:08:21
Charlie Adam is a Man Utd Fan and SAF wants him he will join Man U {Ed001's Note - he is not a United fan, he supports a Scottish team (I forget which one though Ed003 will probably point it out to me later), United are merely the team he favours in England. So, out of choice, he would prefer United, but it is not a case he will defo go there if they show the slightest interest. I very much doubt he would join them to sit on the bench.}

Ed, i read in one of the papers ruud van nistelrooy said he wants to come back to the prem and would be prepared to be an impact player from the bench.

i think apart from being a former manc i don't see any other cons to him being a target for liverpool as he is a world class finisher maybe 1 of the best the prem has seen, do you think he would be intrested in a move to liverpool {Ed005's Note - I'm sure he would. However I don't see it happening.}

thanks for the response ed im just thinking along the lines of proven quality at low price and more money going on other positions, do you think that dalglish and camolli might have it in them to pull a rabbit out of the hat with someone like paulo henriqe (ganso)

{Ed002's Note - You think Ganso is proven quality at a low price? Liverpool should get in before anyone else hears about him then. No chance of him joining.}

"Lucas has signed a pre contract which will see him join Chelsea in Jan 2012. Source?. Sky Sports News."

{Ed002's Note - Wrong Lucas. Chelsea signed 17 year old Lucas Piazon.}

Ed002 do you really think we will get cavani {Ed002's Note - Not unless interest is shown; go back and look at the original question.}

27 Mar 2011 21:41:24
What are the chances of signing Hamsik? He is just what we need young, and could replace Gerrard when he's done {Ed005's Note - There has been no interest in him at the moment. Charlie Adam is who Kenny wants.}

Ed do you know if there is any chance of signing lucas from sao paulo? its been rumoured about a very large buy out clause, just wondered if you could shed any light on the situation and if you think he is a possibility as he looks a real talent.

jaymo {Ed002's Note - No nothing at all.}

Lucas has signed a pre contract which will see him join Chelsea in Jan 2012. Source?. Sky Sports News.

Ed002

You serious, mate? Aguero and Sanchez possibly ending up at Inter? Christ! That could be some £80m/ £90m for these two combined. Add to that some other 2 or 3 positions they need to fill up, we could be talking spending of £130m +.

Ed, do Inter really have that sort of money? I was under the impression that Italian teams were supposed to be skint? Guess I was wrong then.
Anyway, since we "haven't no chance" of getting either player, I'm hoping that they play anywhere other than the prem, whether that's Inter, Madrid, Barca, I don't care, so long as it's not in the EPL.

But I'm still stunned. Aguero and Sanchez? Moratti's pockets are deep afterall.

Kromkamp

ps: I earlier asked whose mould Dzsudzsak, Payet, Marveaux and Griezmann are in. Ed005 I think replied that he hasn't seen enough of the players to say. So could you help out, Ed002? You seem to have a certain degree of knowledge about these players. Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I am not someone who can easily do comparisons - I am still working the who is better Pepe Reina or Ryan Giggs conundrum.}

Just my views:
I think we will sign - Charlie Adam, Marc Albrighton, Dmitri Payet, Jeffren Suarez, Leighton Baines, James McCarthy, Daniel Sturridge.
There my views and if their right I will be really confused! I do think we will sign a CB and a few more first team players. I don't know about Leighton Baines but i know there is definatly interest in the rest!
Remember,
Adam O'K ;) YNWA

Ed do you expect inter to spend big this summer, any news regarding sanchez , could he end up at liverpool. Cheers eds

{Ed002's Note - Inter will spend a good amount this summer. Sanchez is still not moving to Liverpool. The situation with Sanchez remains:

I will try and explain what I know to be correct and what is “rumoured” about Alexis Sanchez. We know that Chelsea and Inter Milan have made unsuccessful bids, and we know that Manchester United and Barcelona have a declared interest. Juventus had previously been interested but were hoping that (a) Sanchez stayed under the radar until a deal could be struck, and (b) Udinese would look kindly on an arrangement that included some cash and several players either in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. As an aside Juventus have proposed a similar deal for Javier Pastore. Anyway, there was a January meeting with Chelsea in Monaco and broad agreement was reached over the transfer before Giampaolo Pozzo said that the deal must include a loan of the player back to Udinese. Whilst Barcelona were apparently willing to agree to this until the end of the season, Pozzo proposed that whoever Sanchez moved to should allow him to be loaned back for 18 months – hence the end of any discussions. I expect that Juventus will not come back in to the picture. Although Sanchez has been watched by numerous teams, there is nothing new other than a "rumour" that Manchester City may be preparing a bid as well. They have, like Juventus, recently been knocked back in a bid for Pastore and are likely to aim their cheque book in another direction – this may well be Sanchez. I suspect that we will see a saga drag out through the summer transfer window as Pozzo puts the player on the market, takes him off the market, values him at €100M and so on. Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter will all likely remain interested but could well tire of the expected drawn-out negotiations. Manchester United and Chelsea were both originally wary of the player being not quite as robust as needs be for the EPL. Perhaps Inter will get their man. Now you know as much as I do about the matter.}

Hey ed do think Scott Loach would be a good buy as 2nd keeper or to replace pepe Reina. As he has been trained in England and a good prospect?

{Ed002's Note - He would be great but will probably not want to drop to being a number two - the reason he has already rejected Arsenal and Spurs. I still wonder if Arsenal may offer him the number one jersey and let them slug it out. But I agree, if he would move to be a number 2 there would be few better.}

Just had a text off my next door neighbour saying 'hot off my LFC source. Reina gone to Arsenal £25m. possible player coming to us in the deal. Has anyone else heard this rumour? He's normally spot on!

Well all i can say is, your neighbour must be one lazy fella to read the papers & then (text you) when you live next door to him. . .

Oh man, Neymar is absolutely wonderful. i wish, there had been a chance to sign him. he is just amazing. did you watch the game against Scotland, ed? Thanks
Any idea about Gago, Adam and Young rumours? do you think, we are closer as commented in the media. . Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Adam and Young seem to be well in hand; Gago is seemingly an option; Neymar is discussed elsewhere on these pages - at length.}

27 Mar 2011 17:18:12
I see there is interest from Kenny in Jeffren. I think he would be a clever signing. We need some flair on the wing, someone like John Barnes.(not easy) Must say that Neymar is proving to be a class above. With Suarez linking play now, we probably don't need Neymar, but we do need that wide outlet. Although, I hope nobody other than us gets the lad. Thoughts on Jeffren?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Jeffren? Seriously a no no for me! He's got pace to burn, but no final outlet. His delivery is poor, always losing the ball. We need wingers with pace, but a must is a good final ball (to get the best out of Carroll). I'm a fond admirer of Balazs Dzsudzsak, he is who we should look to bring in. Thoughts Ed?

Stone. {Ed002's Note - I was surprised about Jeffren being of interest. As I have previously stated there are other wingers who strike me as better options.}

27 Mar 2011 16:57:45
So you expect inter to be big spenders then i doubt that kun aguero would make the move there to be honest i expect him to move to chelsea or liverpool {Ed005's Note - If Liverpool had the money for Kun Aguero I'm sure he would be willing to make the move, but we don't so it won't be happening. Aguero would make the move to Inter Milan - I think a couple of years ago Maradona told him to go there and he values Maradona's opinion.}

i always thought he wanted to go to chelsea, if they get aguero surely they won't get Sanchez though

{Ed002's Note - I doubt that Sanchez will end up at Chelsea and even though the club remain interested it will not take much to make them walk away. Again Aguero remains a possibility. Both could well end up at Inter.}

27 Mar 2011 16:54:12
Ed, do you think we still need to buy a centre half in the summer, or just try and develop what we've got?
If we did buy one player, my choice would be Scott Dann.

Thanks
Stu.

{Ed002's Note - I think there is a reasonable chance that there will be a shake up and I think that Scott Dann - assuming he can prove his fitness - would be an excellent call. Certainly a better financial deal than Cahill. Mexes remains an option (and a colleague in Rome tells me that there is interest from Liverpool but Mexes may well re-sign with Roma) although many fans have, I assume, looked at YouTube and turned him in to a hate figure.}

27 Mar 2011 16:12:48
{Ed002's Note - No chance I am afraid and no interest.}

Out of interest where do you think Neymar will end up?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know. Inter have some very high profile targets and I understand that Neymar would like to move to Milan. I don't expect AC Milan to be chasing the player but Inter have Neymar, Ganso, Aguero and Sanchez as targets - and they will be expecting to get two of these (with Aguero being their first choice). Barcelona are keen on Ganso, but Ganso is keen on Inter. Manchester City are keen on everyone but anticipate difficulties persuading players to make the move - and Robinho will certainly have explained his experiences to Neymar and Ganso. Chelsea again have these players as targets and have been in a much better postion in terms of negotiation. So any could end up anywhere - if I had to split the four I would say Aguero and Sanchez could move to Inter, Ganso to Barcelona and Neymar to Chelsea. But you can also add Real Madrid and manchester United to the mix - so who knows.}

{Ed002's Note - No chance.}

any idea of how much he'd cost?

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are looking at £30-£35M plus three Fluminese options.}

Ed, do you think that we will end up signing gago or m'vila as they seem like much better players than adam. Also banega is another option? {Ed002's Note - They could make the move - but Liverpool seem very keen on Adam.}

- - - - - - - - - - - - -

We will get Adam and M'Vila/ Sissoko/ Sahin/ Banega/ Gago/ Fernando

{Ed002' Note - For me, forget Adam and get M'Vila and Sissoko. With Lucas, Miereles, Gerrard and Shelvey the club should be covered for all options in central midfield for years to come.}

{Ed002's Note - No chance.}

Explain why? You said the exact same thing with Suarez.

{Ed002's Note - Actually I said Suarez was unlikely. I said no chance to Dzecko, Hazard and Sanchez. Neymar, his club and his representatives have met with several clubs and a number of offers have been made for the player by Chelsea. Chelsea are maintaining their well documented interest. If he does move and it is not to Chelsea, it may well be to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Inter Milan. Liverpool have had no interest in the player and he will not be making the move.}

in Adam .What are our chances ?

Liverpool's a long way from Seville, so let's hope he's overcome his well documented travel sickness problems.
- - - - - - - - -

Yeah, he cured that sickness last year when he popped over to South Africa for the summer. He's fine with leaving Seville now, so he should be able to make the move if we buy him; though I doubt that will happen.

Martin {Ed002's Note - I think it would be much too high risk, even if the player could be persuaded.}

King Kenny is looking to bring in British talents. The players on the top of his shortlist are Charlie Adam, Leighton Baines, Ashley Young, Daniel Sturridge & Gary Cahill. If these do all come in, all that is needed is a DM & possibly 2 more wingers, Fernando Gago, Balazs Dzsudzsak & Sylvain Marveaux.

Re: James McCarthy Rumours
Dalglish has pursued McCarthy for a while now, even before he was manager. I posted about this about 9 months ago. Don't remember exact date. The rumour spread in the aftermath of an Irish International where Dalglish was in attendance.

Balazs Dzsudzsak will sign for LFC, along with Gary Cahill, Ashley Young, Charlie Adam, Karim Benzema, Leighton Baines and a player from France. . No idea who it is though, I think it will be Pjanic, M'Vila or Sissoko as we want another midfielder to add to Adam.

Remember this post. .

Ed is Macca right about the Benzema situation? {Ed005's Note - If he says that Benzema is a target then he probably is. However things have changed regarding Benzema. Jose Mourinho never rated him and was supportive of Perez's plans to sell him and use the money to buy Llorente, however following his improvement in form and his hard-work, Jose is now convinced of him and wants to keep him having a strike-force next season of Higuain, Adebayor, Benzema and young Alvaro Morata. However, Perez still wants to sign Llorente, and has money set aside to try and buy Aguero. Signing these two would either put Benzema down the pecking order or probably lead to him being sold. If Mourinho remains at Real Madrid next season then he's likely to get things his way thus Benzema staying. If he doesn't, then Benzema will probably leave. - this is all the latest I've read.}

27 Mar 2011 04:00:28
I have heard that kenny daglish likes the looks of aiden mcgeady of spartak moscow, and its more that probable he will be considered for the left wing. personally I'd rather have ashley young on the wing what you think ed? {Ed005's Note - Aiden McGeady isn't good enough. He's proven nothing, other than the fact that he can look top class against League One standard players in Scotland. And he would cost far too much.}

Adam, Banega, Young, Dzsudzsak, Johnson, M'Vila, Sissoko, Baines, Enrique, Bojan, Remy, Gervinho, Benzema, Hazard, Sanchez, Sahin, Martinez, Cahill, Dann, Jarvis, Afellay, Richards, Gomez, Payet, Henderson, Pjanic, Zhirkov, Griezmann, Mexes, Hoarau, Monreal, Toivonen, Lukaku, Prieto, Wijnaldum, Wickham, Canales, Eriksen, Llorente, Fernando, Rodriguez, Lovren, Suarez, Hamsik, Cazorla, Downing, Bent, Ruiz are names that are on Kenny and DC's target list, I will tell you more of the names when I get hold of them. {Ed005's Note - Mostly just the names mentioned in the papers.}'

You forgot a few. . . Napoleon, Oscar Wilde, Mona Lisa, Harold Lloyd, Robert De Niro, Leonardo Da Vinci, Hellboy, Mother Teresa, David Scott, Dirty Harry, SpongeBob SquarePants, Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer (potentially pairing up in midfield), The Spice Girls, my nephew Rob, Gandhi, Einstein, Cannon and Ball, James T. Kirk, Abraham Lincoln, Zeus, and of course, General Sir Peter Edgar de la Cour de la Billi re.

Redjinal

Your having a laugh mate, There's no way MC Hammer will partner Vanilla Ice in midfield, Hammer is a left winger for starters. Cannon and Ball for CB was mentioned but Cannon has aggresion but no pace, And Ball has pace but lacks erm the Balls to put his foot in.

Oscar Wilde is a dead cert, And Napolean is already signed, Apparently DC is a huge fan, Plus he's been ripping up all oposition, So should be a good ATM or ST.
