Hey eds, do you see any chance of coates going out on loan. Do you think rodgers priority is to find a loan for him or do you think they are looking to sell him right in the summer. Also, were Liverpool ever even interested in Honda a month back or was it all speculation. Sorry, one last question, any certain interest in Weimann or again speculation? Thanks eds {Ed002's Note - Perhaps but I think it more likely he will leave.}

Eds. depending on sale of suerez or not I think will lose coates, sketel, downing, Carroll in will come Williams, ince, another cb, holding mid, possible young left back also the likes of shelvey, suso may experience a year on loan what's your thoughts. ynwa {Ed002's Note - Not so sure about Downing going.}

What about the ready made young left back we have Jack Robinson

Downing won't leave as he has valuable experience in the prem, actually has done well since BR said he was expendable and popped up with a few goals recently, coates will probably leave as he has no pace or technical ability and obviously struggles along the floor (e. g oldham) - williams is not as good as made out to be, would love to see a defender with pace next season and a new keeper maybe?

Quick Question Eds, do you think Brendan will be sacked at the end of the season? my Dad is sure he will be because FSG are impatient, but I think he will be given at least 2 more years.
What do you think Eds? {Ed002's Note - I would expect them to sit down with Rodgers at the end of the year and discuss how well he has done in hitting his targets - the most notable one being Champions League qualification. As far as I know there is no plan to sack him this summer Zincho.}

Ed002 isn't that what they did with kenny, talked with him first about his targets and then ended up sacking him? {Ed002's Note - No. It was clear Dalglish was going way before his visit to New England.}

Lovern played last night from what I saw he looks pretty good are we looking at him to replace carra or are we after other targets thanks for a reply JON96 {Ed002's Note - Lovren is attracting interest from a number of English clubs and has been watched by representatives of Sunderland, Everton, Chelsea, Stoke and Liverpool in addition to Barcelona and Hamburg. With Hamburg close to agreeing a deal for a centre back I suspect their interest will drop off. He could well be available at the right price in the summer, but Aulas will look for a higher fee from English sides if he sells - perhaps why he has told the world which clubs have shown an interest in Lovren.}

Why did FSG give Kenny around 100m in transfers in 1 season and Brenden only around 20m. Seeing as he is their choice as manager (Kenny was temp charge first) shouldn't they be backing him with more funds? {Ed002's Note - Rodgers has spent more than £50M net this season.}

Pity about 30m went in Allen and borini! Good players but not top 4 good.

I don't think 30m was wasted on Allen and Borini personally, Borini has been injured all season and Allen was good at the start of the season and both are still only young.

FSG didn't give 100M to kenny, it was 30M but the sales of torres, babel, raul etc boost kenny`s kitty.

FSG have backed Rodgers more then kenny, in fact kenny`s net spend was 25-30M compare to Rodgers net spend 50-60M. The only problem is half of that was spent on Allen and borini.

ed002 some reports in italy are saying that ancelotti is a target for Liverpool if rodgers is sacked at the end of the season? have u heard anything about this? {Ed002's Note - No doubt sourced from a "person close to the ..." - to me it looks like news from last November. I am not aware of anything right now to suggest at Ancelotti will be moving to Liverpool in the summer.}

A couple of questions really, to ed002, who I appreciate has a lot of knowledge of the club and football in even if he/she is a Chelsea. firstly I see a lot questions about all kinds of players from the well known to the obscure and a lot I have seen the answer being "interest in him predates Rodgers" and so I was wondering do you have the same info on scouted players that are current Rodgers and if so, such as?

Also any interest in a couple of players at Blackburn, Jason Lowe, Grant Hanley, Ruben Rochina and Mauro Formica?

Ray {Ed002's Note - The players where interest predates Rodgers generally relates to the South American players that a lot of effort was put in to scouting last summer. Where there is interest in players now I have said whemever I know. You need to remember that clubs have scouts attending games all of the time and even though the home clubs know that they are attending in many cases, it is not always clear who they might be interested in. I have no knowledge of any Liverpool interest in any Blackburn players at this time.}

Why would Livrepool be looking at Blackburn players to improve the squad?

Jason Lowe isn't a bad player.

Phil Jones came from a Blackburn side who were relegated and at the time, was thought of as a world beater and with that logic, how would any Crystal palace players improve utd squad, how would any Blackpool players improve the Liverpool squad, etc, etc.

-I think Lverpool will only buy one 15M-rated+ player only considering budget given. Not bcoz of FSG don't have money.

-Report says LFC have approached Xabi regrding summer move. Stevie also indirectly discuss with Xabi on his possible return.
U got any lead on this? Hw much Madrid wants?

It has nothing to do with Liverpool Ed I was just asking a question about tapping up. I'm aware that qpr had contact with west Brom I'm also aware that west Brom said, more than once, the player is not for sale.
Qpr tapped up Odemwingie yet nothing happens {Ed002's Note - It was an unfortunate breakdown of communication between West Brom and the player. Both clubs are satisfied with this and there is no issue.}

Maybe Real Madrid are aware and are happy for Liverpool to approach the player seeing as though he does not want to re-sign with them and they are at the point of cashing in. I don't know just a thought, this place is full of speculation and endless possibilities.

Eds I know you have answered the alonso questions a million times but there's fresh reports this morning of "informal talks" being held do you believe this to be true?

Also in terms of centre backs do you think Liverpool could get dede or zouma? or where do you believe they are most likely to be come next season?

Hi Eds, thanks for all your time. A question, maybe a little naive. Do Liverpool ( or any other clubs for that matter) employ full time scouts? Or are the scouts working freelance on a commission basis for numerous clubs for example, Fulham, Pool, Spurs and Reading, with a small retainer? And then propose the players to all the clubs? I am particularly talking about a market like S America.

Hi Eds, just wondering any possible interest from LFC in Erik Lamela? Fast pacey player strong on the ball, young but proven and plays on the right could be a possible replacement for Downing? {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath for a move to England but Manchester United were interested before he left River Plate. Manchester City have been looking at him this season and are looking for talks. He has horribly complex ownership issues and would need a work permit - that will perhaps not be as easy to get as some imagine. One other English club were interested but stepped away because of these complexities.}

Ed02 do you rate Kurt zouma as Center back. And has Liverpool ever looked at him I would guess there's a host of clubs looking at him. MATTYLFC {Ed002's Note - He plays for St Et and much is expected of him. Arsenal looked at him about a year or so ago. Manchester United in the summer and Manchester City recently. He will likely move in the summer.}
