Read on some site Liverpool had a 8million bid reject by PSG for sakho at some stage of the summer

I'm going to be slated now for passing this on, but rumours on twitter say that now Chelsea have dropped their interest in Rooney, Jose wants Suarez and is more than happy to insert Juan Mata into a deal. Just passing on what I know

Believable53 Unbelievable96

If true i'd happily let Suarez leave to join Chelsea as we all know he is holding out for a move to Real Madrid and but i'd want 1 of 2 deals:

1) Mata & Torres = Suarez

2) Mata & £25M = Suarez

Agree3 Disagree4

Like you said the rumours came from Twitter.

Agree2 Disagree0

As unlikely as this is, I would be happy with a fee of around £15m plus Mata.

Despite his undeniable talent, everyone knows Suarez doesn't really want to be here and Mata is a real talent.

Agree4 Disagree1

28 Aug 2013 20:17:19
cant see Mata willing to step down a grade to join us

Agree5 Disagree2

Would be a good deal in my opinion. Depends on how much they offered aswell and wether it could be done soon enough to buy another quality striker. Would still take Moses on loan aswell. But highly unlikely. But let's face it getting rid would be a good idea and mata is a fantastic player.

Agree2 Disagree0

Mata plus Chuck in lukaku and some money I'd take it

Agree1 Disagree5

If only

Agree2 Disagree0

I'd snap there hands off, Mata plus 30mil or even throw in Torres, Suarez is going to be off soon anyway

Agree3 Disagree0

Cant see this happening - but fine by me!

Agree2 Disagree0

I don't believe it. But if it were true. I'd bite their hand off. Give us Mata.

Agree2 Disagree0

I, personally, would do it in a heartbeat. But, it really isn't going to happen. No way mata would come to Liverpool IMo.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 20:54:12
not that he will, but why would mata want to come here?

Agree1 Disagree0

That is never going to happen.

Agree1 Disagree1

Yes, you are going to be slated. Basically you have been sitting there wondering what to say to get a message on here and came up with something you know we would all love but will never happen. Mata plus £30M would be a great deal. BUT - 1. He wouldn't want to join a non CL team. 2. No. An 3. Look at 1&2.

Agree2 Disagree0

Mata + Torres + Ivanovic so Suarez doesn't go hungry.

Actually, I would take Mata and Torres in exchange. I always wonder if Torres came home he would find his form again. There you go, I've started dreaming too.

Agree3 Disagree0

So BigD, you value Torres at £25 MILLION? Seriously? Have you not been watching him lately? In the last 3 seasons he's averaged approximately 1 goal in every 4 games, that is not the stats of a £25 Million striker.

Agree2 Disagree0

The word 'know' would imply an element of truth. This is clearly someone putting two and two together to get 5.

Agree1 Disagree0

Take Mata and Rooney then?

Agree1 Disagree1

I just noticed I made a boo-boo with my post by saying "Mata+ Torres + Ivanovic so suarez has something to eat" (or something like that). Made no sense if Suarez would be going the opposite way!
I will go flog myself with nettles for 5 minutes for trying to be funny and cocking up on a large scale. ;0)

Agree3 Disagree0

Mata and Torres in exchange for Saurez would probably be a fair deal that both teams accepted. And if that happened, Chelsea would win the title and Liverpool would finish fourth (and Spurs/Arsenal would be hopping).

Liverpool are probably the only team that have a hope of getting Mata, IF we have something they want in the form of Suarez.

That said, I can't see any way on earth that it will happen and Chelsea will let Mata go. Willian may not settle, may get injured who knows, they won't let him leave.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 22:34:25
Mata plus 10mil would do me perfectly

Agree3 Disagree2

28 Aug 2013 22:35:18
Not like it will happen or anythin but still

Agree1 Disagree0

Why does anyone want Torres?
Have you not seen him play lately?
None of this is going to happen anyway.

Agree1 Disagree2

28 Aug 2013 22:18:39
Why would Mata come here? We are Liverpool. I know we are not in CL but let's not forget who we are. A good negotiation and plan could work wonders. Look at our style of play. look at Chelsea. We have a style of play suited to talented playmakers. Maybe Mata and others could see this.

Woolton Hill Ant

Agree2 Disagree0

Lol Mata and 30mil. which values Mata at about 20mil. which, as Liverpool fan, I know to be absolutely ridiculous. almost as ridiculous as this rumour.

Agree2 Disagree0

Are you for real? You would have to give Suarez and 30mill for mata and would still get a no! Keep dreaming of Erikson or sakho! Your not as big a club as you think! If u were u would be in the champions league and players wouldn't want to leave! I.E Suarez reina etc

Agree0 Disagree1

Mata & lukaku/hazard ill take all day, I never want to see torres wear a Liverpool shirt again

Agree2 Disagree0

@jaye

Reina wanted to leave? No, Reina wanted to go to Barcelona.

Agree2 Disagree0

Is take Mata and Torres in a blink, both world class and both replace what we lose, imagine Mata pulling the strings with Coutinho? Won't happen mind but hey, can dream.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mata & Lukaku would be awesome!

Agree0 Disagree0

Strap yourselves in fellas - here comes the window's end!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow Jaye! Suarez plus £30 million in exchange for Mata who cost around £24 million. I hope you don't have your own business since what you'd want to charge customers would put you into bankruptcy in no time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres? Please he is crap. Doesn't fit our style of play and turned his back on us. All you fans saying you'd have him back need your heads Seeing too.

Anyone else seen the reports we are close to agreeing the free transfer of Honda for January? Good deal if it happens, has anyone else got any further info on this or should I just assume its more bull?

Jonesred

Believable32 Unbelievable83

Bull. He is off to Milan.

Agree4 Disagree0

I thought he was pretty much nailed on for Milan. Whether it was for free in January or at a cost now.

Agree2 Disagree0

It's bull mate i'm sure i've read on here that he's already signed a pre contract to join AC Milan (i think it was)

Agree2 Disagree0

If true i'd be over the moon
would be a great signing

Agree3 Disagree0

As much as i'd like you to be right I somehow doubt it, last I heard was he was all set to sign for AC Milan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Deam On just like all the FSG hype its Bull

Agree1 Disagree1

I thought he'd already agreed a move to Milan?

Agree1 Disagree0

The Milan deal is off! The president of Hondas club has said Milan tyred offering a reserve player for Honda to join them this summer. And it pissed them of, he has said there a disrespectful club an he will not sell to them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Honda won't happen just like erickson, turan, etc the yanks won't over spend on any players Honda just won't happen

Agree1 Disagree2

Only honda we want is a 50cc to get rid of the yanks

Agree0 Disagree6

I hope it true, even though I doubt he will be a Liverpool player
but brandon knows what his doing I have faith

Agree0 Disagree0

Milan move fell through for now I think

Agree1 Disagree0

Honda? Maybe it's the one-off HF260 Lawn Tractor, capable of reaching 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.0 seconds. This versatile grass eater would help us all over the picth, not just on the left wing or central defense. Never had a groin or metatarsal fault and fits in well with our philosophy of quick passing and slick ball movement.

Could be just a steamcurtain as the talk around Anfield is that John Deere is preferred

28 Aug 2013 19:50:14
I might be a million miles wide of the mark here but does Honda become a free agent? Even though his playing contract expires the "Bosman" rule is a European thing. I think there would still need to be some sort of fee/agreement to transfer his fifa registration, even if set by some sort of Fifa tribunal where Sepp Blatter gets 80% of the fee.

Not sure if Russia falls inside Uefa rules but outside of European law.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a massive fan of Honda and would love him to sign but Yesterday Ed002 mentioned that he was due for a meeting Thursday (i believe) to discuss a few things, for clarification I asked and Ed confirmed it was a meeting to discuss his move to Milan.

Im not sayin that what you are sayin is bull because i'd love it to be true, but unless that meeting was brought forward and something happened, I jus don't see it as bein true.

Agree0 Disagree1

He will not becoming to Liverpool we can't battle it out with big European clubs anymore fans start needing to accept this and understand why

Agree0 Disagree1

It could be true as Milan cert ain't getting him at no price looks like they ****** cska off tapping him up . would b stupid not 2 now go out and get him . even now for a cheeky bid or sign him up on a pre contract when he becomes a free in Jan. Rckn there could be competition if we don't move soon and we all know how slow we are at buying sum1o))

Agree1 Disagree0

I read this on an Lfc blog site, when you actually read the article. There is no mention of a deal, just details the breakdown of the Milan deal, then the writer says he would like it to happen.

Morning, I'm hearing we've made further enquiries about Ashley Williams, Any news anyone, or is this potentially recycled news?

Believable10 Unbelievable103

I sincerely hope it's just a recycled rumour.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hopefully not, as we would only get 2 years out of him.

Surely better prospects around for 10m which would be his cost. I would go for Sakho or Alderweiled as they are much younger.

Think a centre forward who can put more of the chances away is also needed. Demba Ba would be good for a seasons loan and would also be a good plan B for Liverpool.

Agree1 Disagree3

Lets hope not well over priced

Agree0 Disagree1

He is dire, I can only hope you've heard wrong.

Agree1 Disagree1

It's looking recycled. The fact he has'nt travelled with Swansea has been distorted into a move to the last club he was linked with. Just to clear this one up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take it Sahid you're assuming we're still going to sell Suarez. With his goal return plus Sturridge's you want us to try for a loan for Demba Ba who currently isn't anything like a 1st team choice for Chelsea and his wages are around £80,000 a week! As yet there's no sign that the loan rumour for Moses is anything other than a rumour so why would they loan us Ba? BTW his goal return for a half a season with Chelsea was 6 goals in 22 games which is not wonderful.

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry just not good enough for us I hope it's just a recycled rumour!

Eds, what is Antoine Griezmann's situation at Sociedad and are we interested? Cheers. {Ed002's Note - Athletico Madrid, Arsenal, Valencia, Marseille and Lyon have shown some interest in Griezmann in the recent past and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time. Whilst the kid has said that he has no plans to leave Spain anytime soon the financial problems being faced by Real Sociedad may still see him leave the club in the summer. The two clubs showing a real interest right now are Rennes and Fiorentina.}

Believable9 Unbelievable20

28 Aug 2013 20:20:06
if sociedad qualify for Champs Lge proper (they are 2-0 up from away leg v Lyon) then they should be ok financially and the player would then be mad to join Liverpool

Agree0 Disagree1

Griezmann would be a fantastic acquisition.

I am very closely linked to the Hughes family, and can confirm Liverpool are in deep negotiation with derby about signing Will Hughes this week. 7/8 mill with a season long loan back to the club! Watch this space. He is a genuinely class player

Believable61 Unbelievable69

I don't really understand this move, not seen too much of the kid, but we have players like suso who I would rather see get the game time, and at 15 million we would be mugs to buy him, he's only 18, i'm not against signing him, could be a great player I just think, we should consider our players who we already have and the price we are paying for him.

Agree1 Disagree2

28 Aug 2013 10:58:05
Where the hell did you get £15 million from that post?

Agree1 Disagree0

Wow that is a big amount for an 18 year old. Tdot if you are closely linked to his family, could u tell me if he himself is interested in the move then?

Agree1 Disagree1

However close you claim to be to the Hughes family this move would be absolutely senseless in terms of where we stand right now. We take £8 million out of our budget to sign a prospect but loan him straight back to Derby thus having no use of him. Right now we have Coates out all season and Tourre carried off last night which might leave us with only Agger and Skrtel for centre back. Last night it was being said even Skrtel was injured too. We also are said to be in need of a top quality wide player/attacking midfielder which would also prove expensive unless the Moses loan story has legs. All things considered I will be amazed if a buy and loan back deal for Hughes goes through this window.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well a family friend is bound to say he is good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could he be lined up as a replacement for Gerrard? I'm guessing 2-3 seasons left for Stevie?
One yr back aDerby and one year as understudy with few games?

Future of Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Suso and Hughes. plus any reserves like Teixeria? Not too shabby

Agree1 Disagree0

Tdot, will u continue to remain close to the Hughes after this post?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see a problem with this rumour at all. If true then it might be a very astute piece of business on our part given the amount of interest from all the top premiership clubs in the lad. I personally thought they had informed the media that the lad would not be moving anywhere for less than £10m, hence if we have managed to negotiate a move that loans him back for a year at less than what they wanted it'll be good business. Jordan Ibe was hardly cheap and Man City allegedly offered a huge multi-million payment to try and gazzump us. plus Sterling, although he only originally cost us something like £600k this has now risen to the full £5m that was agreed with his initial club through additional payments. so at this moment in time £7m or £8m for a top prospect is no longer obscene or stupid.

Agree1 Disagree0

If 'will hughes' is worth £8-15m 'sterling' should be worth £20-30m

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd prefer someone who can go straight in and strengthen our starting eleven, not someone who may or may not make it in 2-4 years time.
This signing wouldn't make sense at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree1

"Jordan Ibe was hardly cheap." Well having Googled several websites all they say re his fee is "Undisclosed" so maybe you, or another poster, can tell me what we paid for him. He was signed at 16 and I was told by fellow Reds [ don't claim this is correct mind you ] that the initial fee was just £1 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jordan ibe's initial fee was £528,000 from Wycombe but I do think Hughes has got the potential and is showing qualities to be what we need when Gerrard does retire because what I have seen of him, he's a wilshere type midfielder, good on the ball but can rough it up, so think its a good signing for that price (£7/8 mil).

Agree1 Disagree0

He is amazing on Football manager in 10 years time! So get him snapped up now!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed is it true that spurs have entered into disscussions to sign Eriksen and do you think LFC may make an attempt to sign him? {Ed002's Note - There is no acceptable offer on the table for Eriksen although Atletico Madrid, Roma, Milan and Spurs remain interested. If Milan sell Boateng they will make an offer for him immediately as they have already agreed personal terms with the player. With Pjanic probably out of the picture for Spurs, they are turning their attention to Eriksen. If Ljajic makes a move to Milan (his preferred destination but Fiorentina are not keen to sell to them) or Roma (his more likely destination), that will take them out of the equation. Atletico Madrid have made an offer this past weekend and it has been rejected. There must remain a very slim chance that Liverpool will look to the player.}

Believable11 Unbelievable22

Not seen much of this guy but what little I have he looks class and 12-15m would be a great buy

Agree0 Disagree0

Lamela to Tottenham is almost done and dusted now. Ljajic has arrived in Roma for a medical and to agree personal terms and Lamela will then complete the transfer. Milan are now expected to concentrate on Eriksen and I would be surprised if he doesn't move there.

Agree0 Disagree0

More Rumours but NO action, would be a great signing along with a quality CB will it happen, I bet more on Ian Ayre's Pizza's happening on the 2nd. Early to Bed Ian.

Agree1 Disagree0

spurs have ow been given permission to enter talks with eriksen and he is keen to talk! this according to marc overmars!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do Spurs make us look like a laughing stock. Everyone we're supposedly after sign for them. I can see another repeat of last year where we sign nobody! Where's this ' Marquee' signing we were promised?

Agree0 Disagree0

At what point are Spurs making us look like a laughing stock? They are spending a fortune to bring players in with a last attempt to make the Champions League, which they have failed to do so far. We aren't in that position and Liverpool FC is following a very different route. What do you think will happen at Spurs in two years if they don't make Champions League and then need to start investing in a new ground. Good luck to them but I'd rather earn our place than buy it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs splashing out Leeds style (before they went into administration). definitely bought quality players, but the wage bill must be enormous. You wonder how it will pan out if they don't qualify for the Champs League?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 07:28:59
Futbol Mercado are reporting that we have made a bid of 10 million euros for Tiago Ilori. Is it true? {Ed002's Note - I would not be at all surprised by an improved bid being made by Liverpool for Ilori as the club has been trying to get a deal struck. I don't know if a bid has actually been made but it seems very plausible, certainly given other interest in the player.}

Believable35 Unbelievable13

Ed2 would you say Ilori is more likely than Sakho? {Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation with both players. Liverpool have been trying to strike a deal for Ilori but there is now interest from elsewhere. Sakho would be an excellent buy for Liverpool if Agger or Skrtel were to move on, and not out of the question - but no offer has been made by the club at this time. Napoli are also considering Sakho as an alternative to Alderweireld but have been put off by the asking price - although they are still seeking a loan, and Roma are also showing signs of interest. PSG has also offered the player to MIlan but at the asking price they have also said no but are looking to negotiate. Other clubs offered the player at a high €20M are Manchester City and Arsenal. PSG has made it clear to the player that he will need to sign a contract extension if he is to be allowed to leave on loan - else he leaves if a buyer can be found, signs a new deal and sorts himself out or sees the coming season out in the reserves. He has turned down the offer of a two-year extension.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally it looks like Liverpool have finally agreed to match the asking price of a player for once, shame we couldn't of done the same with Mkhitaryan or Willian. Good young player with experience, hope the move goes through swiftly with our defensive problems.

Agree1 Disagree1

Lets hope we get this lad tied up, as he looks like a good prospect.

Agree0 Disagree1

If there can be one positive about Kolo Toure getting injured, it is that we will be harder pressed into finally signing one of our CB targets. Regardless of how well he has started, Toure has always been seen as a backup, but is perhaps proving that he still has what it takes to be a top class defender.

Agree1 Disagree0

From all I read and heard our bid for Willian was much the same as Spurs or Chelsea's but without European football which club do you think will players decide to join? Or should we just shovel in another £5 million whenever another club moves for a player we fancy.

Agree0 Disagree0

For 10mill I'm not thrilled whatsoever. Would be a real waste on someone who has proved nothing. I've seen him in the Toulan Tournament in France a few months back and didn't look anything special. And if I'm correct weren't we hesitant to even spend 6m in him. So where in this universe are we ready to pay 10m now? I call bullsh*t. We need experienced players with real bit of quality. Not this rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Riff Rafa
Quality CB needed NOW! but it would not supprise me if we don't sign anyone before the deadline FSG don't want to spend on LFC. I just hope it means they are Selling up!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 19:58:11
Hey Big D, we matched the release clause for Miki and we had the best bid on the table for Willian at the time. Despite quotes to the contrary we put up the cash both times but couldn't secure player terms

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2013 07:19:00
According to Mail we are looking at Sakho again. Do you know if this is retelling of same old news, or maybe that we continued interest in him quietly?

thanks {Ed002's Note - I am not aware that anything has changed in respect of Sakho at this time. He is available and would be a good buy if a deal could be done.}

Believable23 Unbelievable9

Excellent buy if we can persuade him but surely that spells the end for Napoli & Zenit target Skrtel. {Ed002's Note - Napoli's bid for Skrtel was rejected and they have been looking elsewhere.}

Agree0 Disagree0

People keep talking about Agger or Skrtel being sold. As of last night's game we have ONE experienced CB available in Agger and Skrtel was described last night as injured. So what is the chance of us buying a new CB and selling one of our present and fit or partly CB's? I'd say close to zero since then we'd still need to sign another new central defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

The PSG owner has given a statement which says that Sakho wants a move to AC Milan. No mention of bids from other clubs was made
