Higuain has turned down an offer from Napoli, Liverpool and Chelsea ready to make bids.

Believable3 Unbelievable25

28 Jun 2016 23:46:05
We know very well that Liverpool are definitely not ready to make any bids for any forwards, and that includes Higuain.

Agree22 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 01:53:32
Forget it man, he won't be a Liverpool player.

Agree12 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 07:08:47
Don't need him. Ings, Sturridge and Origi are plenty for a season of pure domestic football.
That's even after selling Benteke, giving Mario away and having Firmino and Mane as cover if need be.

Left Back, just as I begged for all last summer.

Agree7 Disagree3

29 Jun 2016 10:09:13
No bids are coming in for a player with CL footie to look forward to next season and banging on it ad nauseum, will never make it happen. Move on, mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 13:25:05
We just paid £34M for Mane, I highly doubt he is going to used as cover.

Klopp to bring Dahoud to Liverpool. Klopp rates the youngster highly.

28 Jun 2016 19:30:19
Hope so but players we need to get sold surely if we what him.

28 Jun 2016 19:43:42
I started to get excited that this was an honest to goodness proper rumour based on some info.

Then I realised it was posted by Harry who likes to post opinion and hope as fact.

Disappointed doesn't even come close : (

What do you get from upsetting us all harry lad? Come on, was waiting for it to say macca.

I hope you are right but I doubt it! dahoud would be too good for this window!

Agree0 Disagree3

28 Jun 2016 20:17:19
It won't happen this summer.

Agree5 Disagree3

29 Jun 2016 03:30:52
If Klopp rates Dahoud this highly, then LFC will make an offer for him in 2017. Highly doubt Monchengladbach will sell this season after losing both Nordtveit and Xhaka.

Agree2 Disagree4

29 Jun 2016 04:22:57
Don't forget to get some sleep Harry, or this transfer window is going to do you some damage at the rate you're going.

Agree2 Disagree2

29 Jun 2016 09:49:04
Indian Buzzer - I'm not saying it's remotely true but Gladbach have already bought 3 midfielders and are rumoured to be close to purchasing his replacement. These themselves are just rumours but just saying don't rule it out.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 13:49:16
Natural poolie, Monchengladbach have signed only 2 CMs and one of them is an 18 year old so no, they have not made any plans for Dahoud's departure. He will not move at least this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 17:35:16
Hi Eds. Are you expecting to see first team players like Skrtel to leave now that we've splashed some cash?
I know we have been looking for a group that we all know of to be sold, but as we are announcing players joining should be also be hearing of departures as well.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

28 Jun 2016 18:10:47
Haha, cheers Ed. maybe I should have phrased that differently. When would you expect to hear?

We always ask about how close to incomings, but outgoings? Any news of accepted bids, medical lined up elsewhere?

Agree3 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - things will start to move now as teams are out of the Euros. I expect Skrtel to move on first.}

29 Jun 2016 03:32:18
Kinda surprised with how many teams seem to want Skrtel. Inter, Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Gala.
Hopefully we get more than 5 million for him. We seem to be paying over the top for players, now its time to start selling our players at prices more than they are worth for a change.

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Jun 2016 07:12:43
Read £5.5m. If that's true we must have a grad in for the summer in sales or a new negotiations rep handling this one, either way well done that man.

Couple more like this and we should move him to recruitment.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 10:30:14
Plus he's off the wage bill, Ed am I right saying he is a higher earner at the club?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you are right, he is very well paid.}

29 Jun 2016 11:33:13
Thanks ed.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jun 2016 12:01:43
Question for the Eds, what difference are Wales/ Allen doing well going to make to his position here and do you expect it to make clubs more willing to pay the price we want for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It certainly won't do any harm.}

28 Jun 2016 17:12:20
Good afternoon ed001

Seens as your about mate and in a good mood.

Now that Mane has arrived is it safe to say that Goetze won't be arriving? Maybe only if Coutinho or Firmino leaves.

Im not trying to complicate things, just want to be clear mate.

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed001's Note - yes mate.}

28 Jun 2016 17:17:53
Cheers for reply mate

Maybe push for a leftback now.

Agree4 Disagree2

28 Jun 2016 18:08:12
Gotze is still possible if Couts leaves. Mane and Gotze were totally unrelated matters as they are different types of players. Would rather w kept Coutinho than sign Gotze who has been rubbish for a while.

Agree4 Disagree6

28 Jun 2016 18:12:28
Just to add to that. Is Coutinho likely to stay or is it to early to say?

Agree6 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - probably stay as things stand.}

28 Jun 2016 18:23:21
Great news.

Agree10 Disagree2

28 Jun 2016 18:23:33
Is there any thing about ibe in the mane deal?

Agree2 Disagree2

28 Jun 2016 18:30:58
Did the club price Coutinho out of PSG's reach Ed001? Must say i am impressed with the club for sticking to their guns than cashing out if that is the case.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - no, they are just undergoing changes so it will be a bit before any moves they make become clear.}

28 Jun 2016 18:43:35
Do you expect us to find a buyer for balo and benteke?

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - Benteke yes, I am not so sure about Balotelli.}

28 Jun 2016 19:04:24
Eds, would be great if coutinho stays especially with a player like mane with his pace and movement PC will give him so many opportunities. It does raise the question of our attack, how do you see it lining up with so many players now?

Agree2 Disagree3

28 Jun 2016 21:01:02
We'll probably have to loan Balotelli to someone with us paying the loan fee and wages.

Agree2 Disagree4

28 Jun 2016 23:22:00
Worst case scenario let him go cheap to China, want him no where near the club.

Agree2 Disagree1

28 Jun 2016 23:54:33
You know, I've given him some stick but if Balotelli wants to come back and try his ar*e off under Klopp then I'd give him another 12months now as our 'Plan B'. We've wasted the money on him now, might as well try and get him to play well for a year and bump his selling price up.

Agree2 Disagree9

29 Jun 2016 09:50:59
Johnny i think he's been given one too many chances at one too many clubs. he's more interested in himself than any club he has ever played for. It will be better for both partys to end this relationship.

I can't understand why you would want him in our squad even to raise his price. what would be better is if Liverpool starts winning games consistently, now that will raise our value, and do you honestly beleive we have a better chance with him in our squad?

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Jun 2016 10:13:00
Johnny, let it go. The boy is an aweful player with personal issues and a lost cause. Is he even interested in playing football anymore? Ask urself that question.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2016 12:04:16
He could have tried his arse off when Rodgers gave him a chance to resurrect his career or when Milan gave him that chance, since he didn't why would he do so for Klopp? Reality is Balotelli is two things, one, getting paid a lot of money whether he plays or not, two, a frustrating waste of talent.

Saido Mane at Liverpool offices in city centre right now as I type.

28 Jun 2016 15:00:05

28 Jun 2016 17:07:25
yeah he was at the back of the Horses head!

Agree0 Disagree2

28 Jun 2016 20:10:01
And where is he now?

Could we please have a live stream of 'Saido-Watch' running along the bottom of the page, Eds?

I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to know when he buys his first paper, his first Starbucks and sneaks a crafty fag round the back of his local boozer.

Liverpool have enquired about the possibility of bringing Ryan Bertrand who is in his last year of contract.

Believable2 Unbelievable24

28 Jun 2016 17:40:11
Also heard enquired about Van Dijk.

Rumor

Liverpool enquired about Ryan Bertrand. The player is in the last year of his contract and the club is interested.

Believable1 Unbelievable17

28 Jun 2016 13:29:24
He has looked very good, Ed2 got this one spot on. We all wanted the one with the exotic name from the Spannish league, and the boring English one ended up being the better option.

Agree4 Disagree6

28 Jun 2016 13:52:38
Super, I just want to wade in here and say not "all" of us! I took monumental stick for saying Bertrand was better, and that Moreno simply can't defend.

I mean, I'm not going to shout about it too much because I let my heart rule my head the same summer and convinced myself Rodgers could turn Balotelli into a 20 goal a season striker.

Not sure I'll ever live that down!

Agree9 Disagree5

28 Jun 2016 15:39:49
I know not all mate, but you were here to see the amount of stick that the Eds got over the link to Bertrand. I too wanted Ballotelli. I never believed he would ever turn out to be as awful as he has been. I expected the odd strop and for him to do stupid things in his spare time. Thought his performances might have been alright though.

Gonna be slated for having a dose of Euro 2016 fever but what about the Icelandic LB?

Strong defensively and runs all day.

Agree0 Disagree4

28 Jun 2016 19:09:30
Only if he's the chap with the beard.

All of our problems could be solved with more bearded players, especially as Pirlo is likely to be leaving us.

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Jun 2016 12:04:33
To be clear:
Bertrand is contracted until 2019.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2016 12:07:08
Would have thought any of the Icelandic players comes with a caveat that they are functioning as a team that is greater than the sum of the parts, so potentially as individuals they might be some way short of this level. Having said that, it would still be worth considering as compared to some of an England squad who are weak individuals and manage to perform even worse as a collective.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2016 12:05:30
. and Van Dijk to 2012.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2016 04:51:34
Hello Eds,

This is specifically for ED2. With July 1st just around the corner, can you send out an update on the LB interests that you originally posted on June 5th. Thank you as always for sharing with us.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

{Ed002's Note - Ben Chilwell is of very firm interest with an offer alredy being rejected. Jordan Amavi is of interest and there have been discussions. Some remain of the view that Hector might also be an option.}

28 Jun 2016 09:43:50
I very much doubt Hector will be an option, no matter how many people want him at LFC. 30 million euros for a LB is just ridiculous, and there are hypocrites everywhere saying Chilwell is the one who is bad value for money.
If Klopp wants Chilwell, i hope the club gets the deal over the line.

Agree8 Disagree8

28 Jun 2016 11:39:30
I just want a competent left back, if that is Chilwell then welcome aboard. How many of us knew about Rob Jones when he joined and he was one of the best I have ever seen. (Was a far better right back than Gary Neville) .

Agree14 Disagree6

28 Jun 2016 11:44:12
Hector is out of our financial reach.

Agree2 Disagree13

28 Jun 2016 11:52:16
Hi Ed002

you have said we bid for Chiwell but it has been rejected can you tell us how much was bid if you know the price of the bid, plus how much do the want for Chilwell before they accept the bid, am i right in saying they want 10 mill for him, if he is a decent LB who can defend then i think we should go in for him.

Agree1 Disagree4

{Ed002's Note - The amounts are in the ballpark you have suggested but there is an issue with both the offer being too low and the proposed twrms being unacceptable to Leeds at the moment. It should be something the club can resolve.}

28 Jun 2016 12:41:24
Game Of Thrones - how on earth do you know how far our financial reach stretches?

Agree7 Disagree3

28 Jun 2016 14:02:37
Re the bertrand rumour- if true- ed02 had this nalied before we signed moreno- bertrand better and cheaper. But we went the other way and saints got the better deal.

Agree4 Disagree4

28 Jun 2016 23:28:39
I thought we finalised the Hector deal weeks ago?
I'm sure we informed Ed002 the deal had been done. 😄.

Agree1 Disagree0

29 Jun 2016 12:10:07
Considering what we've seen for the past few years at lots of levels is that most modern full backs can't defend to save their lives, (or careers at least) any FB who is a good defender should be worth the investment every bit as much as a big name in a flashier role.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2016 23:09:42
Hi eds

Any truth in the interest in Marko Pjaca?
Are there any new players Liverpool have become interested in?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Inter were looking for a January deal for Dinamo Zagreb's Marko Pjaca and will push again in the summer but will have to contend with interest from Milan, Benfica, Juventus and possibly PSG, as well as needing to make space in the squad - and that space would need to come from the sale of Marco Perisic. A number of other sides have also had the player watched this season but I remain of the opinion that it will be Milan will prioritise the player and will look for a deal before Inter are able to sell Perisic. Juventus could yet seek talks.}
