Ed002 reports in portugal say we have had a 10 million euro bid rejected for rui patricio? is this true? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of a bid from Liverpool.}

Would be a very good choice if it were true but would defiantly mean the end of Reina, Sporting Lisbon are financially in trouble so a bid of £10M GBP would secure the signing of the Portugal No. 1

Whats the latest with Hector Herrera? Great work eds {Ed002's Note - There is nothing involving Liverpool I am aware of.}

Any idea if the rumour about Honda joining on a free in the summer as it was rumoured that he would come in January but a price couldn't be reached.

He is not a Free agent, but will cost a low fee as he wants out although eds have said that Lazio are very much interested, he would be a very good buy for us but I feel we missed our chance to sign him just like we did with Turan.

Unfortunately he is going to Everton

Are we linked with Henrikh Hamleti Mkhitaryan

Eds do you think lfc will bid for james mcarthy
Is there any intrest in him from other clubs?

Basy {Ed002's Note - I am sure Wigan would be willing to let James McCarthy move on if the right offer was made and Liverpool have previously shown an interest. I don't know if that interest is there now.}

Don't want him

Why don't we loan them Jonjo Shelvey for the Season and give them Jay Spearing plus £12M. I think he is exactly what we need in midfield and we should have brought him instead of Allen.

Hi ed, I know you don't like answering these sort of questions but if we do sign 2/3 attacking mids/wingers, who do you think it will be

Also, do you think we'll sell Assaidi?

Cheers ed great site! {Ed002's Note - The focus will be on defence and not attack. I still expect efforts to be made to sign a versatile wide player as we saw Rodgers attempting to take such a player on loan in January (Jeffren, Dzsudzsak etc.). Interest remains in Tom Ince but there are other clubs looking to the kid as well.}

Jeffren, I bloody hope not. Infact if we do sign him I give up!

Ed002 their are reports that henrik Mkhitaryan is our top summer target and that we are having talks with shaktar over the next 2 months to try and sign him? {Ed002's Note - Two months worth of talks seems a great deal. Shakhtar are looking for about €25M which seems high to me.}

Ridiculous.

I'm not sure it's 2 months WORTH of talks. I think the report stated LFC will try to start negotiations in 2 months. Whether the link is true or not is another matter of course {Ed002's Note - And this has come from a good trusted source or not? It is certainly clear he wants out and Shakhtar will accept an offer at the right price. He has said a move to Barcelona or to London would suit him and he has made it clear that he deserves to be paid lavishly.}

I'm not sure Ed, think the source was a russian article from sportbox or similar which doesn't sound particularly trusted.

Where do you see Henrikh Mkhitaryan come January? Any insight? {Ed002's Note - Shakhtar's Mkhitaryan is of interest to Lazio and interest possibly remains from Juventus, but the player is looking for a move to Spain with Barcelona or somewhere in England, preferably London, so he can get the very high wages he says he is due. Seems a bit of a flake to be honest. Shakhtar are looking for about €25M which seems high to me.}

25m? Alonso and Lampard

I know its not the greatest of information givers but news now are saying his agent has claimed they are in talks with spurs! But as I know a few people at spurs i'm told this isn't the case! I'm also told they are keeping tabs on tom ince but doubts anything will come of it? But west ham may make a serious offer in the summer?

He's good and exactly what we need. When I heard the rumour I thought that this would be a shrewd bit of business and a steal! But €25m and he'll want ridiculous wages? Pffft!

Eds do u think there are any players in the clubs likely to go down that we will cherry pick? If soton go down there are a few who have impressed this season ie Ramirez for starters who might help us keep Suarez.
Also shout out for hangerland to replace skyrtl as a cheap viable PL experienced player

Daniellambretta {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Liverpool having an interest in players headed for the Championship right now.}

We should def look at benteke if villa go down

I think we should be looking at trying to sign samba on the cheap when qpr go down. He's the quality CB we need.

Also perhaps a look at taraabt or Remy.

Finally, julio cesar has got to be worth a shout if we sell reina?

All on the cheap as well as qpr would be in deep deep trouble if they went down {Ed002's Note - QPR have no money problems.}

Weimann, Benteke, Julio Cesar, Shaw, Gaston Ramírez.

No no, just those coming from the championship it would seem.

Alonso
Lampard
S. Taylor

Saints will only be going down to Sketchleys-to take another few sides to the cleaners! Dream on you Pinks!

Hangeland signed a new deal with Fulham this week.

Similar to Anfield legend Sami Hyypia in style; dominant in the air, fairly immobile in terms of movement off the ball but fantastic at defending balls and set-pieces into the box, Liverpool have really missed an aerial presence at the back this term and the player himself sounds doubtful about whether a new deal will be agreed before the end of the season, so he could be available as a stop-gap option without the hassle of negotiating a fee.

Morning Eds

Are you aware on any interrest in the young mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa (not sure if spelling correct) 23 / 24 yrs old could be a good replacement or back up for pepe?

Redforlife {Ed002's Note - Try the search function please - there has been much discussion about this.}

28 Mar 2013 08:38:13
He is 27 btw

He is 27 but yh good competition if not replacement but then would need another one to also come in to compete with him and jones, someone like mihaylov.

Hii Eds, With Mourinho saying he will be back to England, is it possible tat BR be sacked and Jose is given the job? {Ed002's Note - No.}

I only can dream mate

He will never manage Liverpool, ever. he has said as much in his own words.

SMc

He will want at least 60 million to spend so there is no chance.

Is this a serious question? Mourinho does not have a good relationship with our club or fans. Plus we couldn't offer him half the funds he would want to redevelop the team. Support Rodgers as he looks like he will be here for the foreseeable future.

For god sake leave Rodgers alone let him get on with things he's doing fine

Any interest in Tim Krul as a replacement for Reina? Top quality keeper and still young {Ed002's Note - Not as far as we know.}

Have Liverpool looked at Ath. Miniero midfielder Bernard? He looks a great talent from what I have seen {Ed002's Note - Atletico Mineiro's Bernard rejected opportunities to join Zenit and a Qatar side last summer but there is a lingering thought that he may still move on. Inter and Liverpool both had Bernard watched last summer with Inter going as far offering part ownership of others in exchange for part ownership of Bernard, but again that was refused. However, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow, Terek Grozny and Shakhtar Donetsk have recently approached Atletico Mineiro and whilst a 12M euro offer from Terek was rejected, it looks like a deal could be still be done and perhaps AC Milan will put together a package including a player as part of the deal. Whilst he is certainly attracting interest from several sides and a very good offer could tempt them to sell, I suspect Atletico Mineiro and Bernard would prefer to hold off on any move for, say, another year. Chelsea has been keeping a close eye on his progress as have Manchester City. He was one of the South American players that Liverpool were scouting earlier in 2012, but that was pre-Rodgers.}
