Just wondering if the eds could shed some light on the Brandt situation as we are being linked with him but Bayern had apparently already agreed some sort of deal? Is our interest still there and do the eds think we could get him ahead of Bayern?

he obviously realises that coutinho plays on the left for us and is sensible enough to make sure he will be playing week in week out before making a move. I'm sure he would have the same concerns about a move to Bayern.

Kinda sounds like in order for him to join, coutinho needs to be off. Don't like the sound of that.

I'd play a 4-2-2-3 in that case, firmino and coutinho through the middle, play brandt left wing and mane right wing, striker up front, lallana and wijinaldum behind counts and firmino.

Hendo and Gini behind Brandt, Coutinho and Mane with Firmino upfront would be a strong side. Can and Llalana to add competition and rotation.

As things stand ed he is being looked at to play alonside Coutinho and not as a replacement right?

The problems come when the kid looks at the starting side when everyone is fit and figures he would be on the bench. But to be fair to Klopp, a proper left wing - across from Mane is needed and would open up options for a dynamic and versatile attack. I think it would be a great addition if it could be done.}

If a guy like Brandt is looking at our team and is thinking he'd be resigned to the bench, then what are they thinking when they look sat other clubs like Bayern? Or is it that those kinds of players expect to come to a club like ours and start?

Tbh Ed002, Costa would be an even better addition. He has more pace and is more direct compared to Brandt, which is exactly what the team needs when Mane is not playing. But I guess wage demands and interest from elsewhere will scupper any chances of Costa.

Your seal of approval means a lot, ed! Here is to hoping that the promise of european football will be enough to convince Brandt to accept a rotational role. Besides potentially Bayern, are there any other clubs pushing for him, ed? I think you mentioned Arsenal interest, are they making any steps?

If Sturridge does leave, with Origi up and diwn and Ings coming back from long lay off wouldn't that mean more chance of Firminho playing up front and Coutinho moving central, so Brandt would likely be furst choice on left?

I have seen Brandt play many times and he is quality. I can understand why he wants first team football as he's young and still needs to improve and he won't get it here based on our current situation except if Couts drops into the Lallana position and Brandt plays wide left, which would be awesome. Hopefully, Klopp can convince him cos he is the real deal.
