lfc have had a bid accepted for sessegnon 5 million plus dirk kyut.great sighing kenny keep up the good work.just to get rid of carroll now.

Oh sorry, you must have had a bad dream my friend.. or maybe you can tell the future!? Cause this hasn't happened yet

Are you genuinely being serious or trying to annoy all LFC Fans

True, honestly? please be honest. it's not worth lying and it would be better to own up now then to be found out as a lier after. oh, but you didnt sign your name...

Catholic H

I agree he'd be a good signing unfortunately his family can't settle in england and hi preferred destination is back to France (I think) can't see oneill letting him go easily either

Good signing?he cant settle in england

ste

Not true but i would love us to sign him quality player

Sessegnon would be great but I cant see it happening .

A week ago a post on here had him signing for another club and that was garbage too!

How about we just get rid of you. More support for lfc

hi ed do u think carroll will be here at the end of januray as i do as they have allways said he was for the future not just now, cant wait till deadline day has passed and all these silly rumours stop 4 awhile.

Sources tell me Liverpool trying very hard to bring in a striker an winger in the next few days, being told a new offer for tevez is possible, Nathan dyer of Swansea is being tipped to sign in next few days.

I would like to see dyer at liverpool...liverpool need pace and i think everyone can see what craig bellamy can do with his pace....if we can get dyer and a decent striker with pace we can get that 4th place.

I'm just here. I've signed a contract here and this is the team I'm playing for," Carroll said. "I love it here. All the lads are great with me in training and away from the training ground everyone has been great with me as well."

Liverpool have denied making an offer to exchange Carroll for Tevez but sources elsewhere insist an approach was made. Carroll's agent, Mark Curtis, is understood to be furious at the club's attempt to offload his client without his knowledge. Despite public support for the striker from Dalglish, the interest in Tevez raises doubt about the former Newcastle player's long-term future at Anfield. He said he had no regrets over his move to Merseyside.

"Not at all. The club has been great with me and I'm enjoying it here. Winning in midweek [against Manchester City in the Carling Cup] and getting to the final and then Man U coming here, beating them and getting through, it's a great feeling."

thats what the guardian are reporting

sparky

Wherever you have got that from I think its a bit inaccurate.

The club didn't deny anything. They don't comment on transfer spec.

RuncornRed

Mark curis is understood to be furious ... Not mark curtis IS Furious , and if anyone would be furious it would be carol so to then state I love it here etc in quotes ....this is a piece of shoddy journalism to say the least and I strongly suggest this is to cover his own ass after spilling sucha poorly investigated storyline in todays press !

The guardian is a NEWSPAPER and newspapers lie and publish tosh if they think it will boost their circulation!

I think marko marin is the most likely signing out of him and barrios, I know we are after them both but barrios is on 100k-a week and can see him getting that at liverpool plus hes 27 so aint a spring chicken in FSG'S eyes but hope we get:-

1. M.MARIN
2. D.TEXIERIA

Id be happy with them two!

ACHILLES.

Im not a 100% certain but im sure marin was hoping spurs would come in for him as they were close to signing him a short while ago, he was very impressed with the set up thay have and style of play which according to him best suits his style of play?

29 Jan 2012 22:58:20
I for one think that Liverpool will sign Darren Bent on deadline day. I've just got this sneaky feeling. He got a good goal today against Arsenal and I think he might be a bit fed-up with villa watching them capitulate. He's got a proven track record and I think he would suit our style of play. If Kenny can get him for 15-18m I think it would be a great piece of business. Thoughts?

InTheKnow

I wouldnt say no for anything less than £9m. Thats worth the risk but £15m - £18m is too pricey

Speedy

Ignoring money - I'm really not sure if he would be a good signing or not. Would he really suit or style of play?

Are we trying to play sharp passing football with lots of movement? Then we need intelligent players, who are technically good, comfortable on the ball and constantly one the move.

Does he tick many of those boxes? Does it matter? He's a goal scorer so maybe those rules shouldn't apply.

Regardless he'd be an asset at the right price, but there's no way we would get him for the right price.

Not for me Bent not good enough plus he's Cup Tied and were going to Wembley twice.

Is there any truth on raheem sterling going out on loan for the rest of the season I would like to see him getting a chance in the first team because he is a class act {Ed001's Note - I wonder how many more times it will have to be pointed out that he is 17 and so is too young to go out on loan?}

Was Wilshere not 17 when he was loaned out to Bolton?

29 Jan 2012 22:15:39
Carroll and his agent are trying to engineer a return to the north east this transfer window. Remember the "10m bid" from newcastle denied by Ashley ? Now the skysports tevez leak closely followed by sunderland"interest"in the player? The lad wants out and the club knows it.

The Oracle

Another pearl of wisdom! Stop trying to rite Carrolls epitaph.

Oracle? You couldn't see your way to the bar to buy a pint!

A norwegian talent age 19 are availeble for 2mill. Markus henriksen from rosenborg. Big potential! What does the eds think?

I signed that kid on FM2012. When I enquired they wanted £2m -.-

Looks like someone's been playing Fifa12 too much,nwhere Henrikson, who I have in team, goes from like 74 to like 85...he maybe a potential talent, but it'd be we'll publicized if he was that good...

Big potential based on fifa i take it?

I assume you are norwegian?

Non´t know about the poster, but I´m norwegian, and Marcus Henriksen is not as hot prospect as many says. Too slow. Both with and without the ball. The kid can get to mid Bundesliga level, but nothing more.

Working in Holland at the moment and sitting watching Hollands Match of the day right now. The programme has Ronald Koeman on it and the TV station is NOS and they are talking about Luuk Du Jong going to Liverpool or Inter Milan, he scored a hat-trick today and he has been waving to the fans after the game. Ed have you heard he is on his way to Liverpool? {Ed002's Note - I am aware that there is still interest but there had been no bid as of Thursday.}

I hear a last min bid is going to go in for darren bent

What do u mean as of thursday? and do u expect us to make a bid ed? {Ed002's Note - When I last checked (on Thursday), no bid had been made. I am guessing that there will not be a bid as there seems no point in delaying so late in the window.}

Thanks Ed, It certainly looked like a farewell wave to the crowd :)

Ronald Koeman is the manager of Feyenoord. So, I doubt he would be commenting on a player from another club leaving to go abroad before anything became official. If you had written Erwin Koeman, I might have believed you. Sorry, mate.

Hi ed 001/eds and Macca any idea where this Carrol swap Tevez story came from,we dont need that money grabber at our great club.In KK we trust.
Up the pool
Redan {Ed001's Note - I have no idea where the story originated sorry.}

No coincidence, we beat man u and then all these stupid rumours begin
The forces of darkness in the press who job it is to sell and tell carp

Original rumour seemed to surface on Thursday
So take your pick on where it came from

1) fact that caroll was left out for the game against man city
2) kenny's cheeky post match comment about anymore cit players they want to kid rid off - everyone assumed a direct reference to Tevez
3) some uni kid's experiment on rumour spreading
4) lazy journalists
5) world-wide conspiracy against Lfc
6) unofficial leak from Lfc
7) Carroll's agent

I admire the Lfc way of dealing with transfers eg not to go public until deal done but inevitably news gets leaked otherwise this site would not exist and we would lose ed002 :-(

Leam Red {Ed007's Note - I added your 2nd part onto this post.}

Thanks Ed007, so what is your view on the Tevez saga and possible source ?
Eds001 and 002 seem convinced it is lazy journalism {Ed007's Note - I'd say it was nonsense as well buddy. I would quite happily see him retire, I am sick reading/hearing about the moaning face wee sod!.}

29 Jan 2012 22:00:55
Yo ed, what do you thinking are chances are of sihning Christian Eriksen in summer? He's someone we've been strongly linked with in the past. {Ed001's Note - highly unlikely, he wants to go to Spain and there are interested parties there.}

He was born to play for Barcelona.

I can guarantee that will be his next move.

I am hearing from a Very reliable source that spurs want Carroll in a Defoe plus cash deal, If the deal doesn't go ahead we will make a last ditch big money move for cavani

That would be one of the dumbest things ever in my opinion. Lets give them someone who is 22 and has played quite well the last couple games, for a 29,30? year old. On top of that give them cash. Outrageous in my opinion.

So a manager who offered 25 million for Carroll last year, wants to get the same player 12 months later in a cut price deal (at the same time offloading a player who is surplus to requirements). Why should we care?

Apologies, misread that plus cash part, disregard that part :P

Yup so if we don't get Defoe first and foremost *Cough*, THEN we will go for Cavani. My laugh for the day, thanks

I can't imagine any attempt to sign Cavani would be "last ditch". IF there is any truth in the Cavani transfer then it would be a well planned, intricate business deal. "last ditch?" do you just sit at home and make this stuff up?

Danny Ward of Wrexham Fc. GK
Had medical today at melwood
Signs tommorow for 3.5 years

absolutely buzzing

LTP THE RED

You're absolutely buzzing at the signing of a GK?!

God help you if we actually sign a goalscorer!

29 Jan 2012 21:49:54
eds do you expect movement in the next few days {Ed001's Note - yes, I still expect a signing, the club are certainly trying their best to bring players in.}

29 Jan 2012 21:33:56
Spurs have enquired about Carroll and tevez loan deal expect deals to happen tomorrow

29 Jan 2012 21:32:50
LFC are in talks to sign Tevez, we did offer Carroll in exchange but they rejected it immediately. They are looking for 25m, we proposed a deal of 10m now and 15m in the summer... I dont know their response to that proposition as yet.

Spurs are talking to us about Carroll, along with QPR and Stoke...

We are also talking to Napoli about Cavani, they want 32m, DC is trying to negotiate for about 29... The money is available if they wish to use it.

Carroll will only leave if we can get a replacement...

RM

You need to provide some sort of proof for this...a link or something. Else you really need a hobby.

Cavani is the best player of the ones you mentioned. Surprisingly, he also seems tobe the closestto sign. Three million apart and we are still negotiating? somehow, I believe life is not that simple.
Sorry, mate.

Canadian Fan

Spurs are not in for Carroll are u mad!!!

God you must be sitting at the right hand of KD! Not that I believe a word of what you've posted though!

This is DRIVEL! We will pay £25 million for a guy who walks out on his clubs and runs back to South America."You don't know their response to that proposition" you say well I'll say you know absolutely nothing at all!

If Liverpool sign cavani and tevez it will be serious business for January.

Tevez may be plausible on loan but cavani is pie in the sky stuff

Are you for real? just go home and look in the mirror...what will you see back? a compulsive liar

Every one saying that there is no possibility that cavani or tevez will sign but there have been roumers about both tevez and cavani {Ed002's Note -

Plausible rumour. Redknapp is the manager who could probably get the best out of Carroll. Tevez is obviously available, and Cavani will surely leave Napoli, sooner or later. I am sure Suarez can help bring him to LFC.

Our net spend in the last year is about 35-40 million so I suspect there is money to spend if we need to.

29 Jan 2012 21:29:40
Hey eds do you know anything further on Gaston Ramirez?
Noticed he was not in the sqaud today is he injured or could that be an indication he may be allowed to leave?
thanks
skurks {Ed001's Note - all I know is that we want him, last I heard they weren't willing to sell and I have heard nothing since, sorry.}

29 Jan 2012 21:29:36
I know I know twitter bulls*** but it's being reported that we are in talks with spurs to sell Carroll and that Defoe might be used in part exchange! Please confirm to me this is rubbish! Think Will regret it if we sell Carroll!

Yes indeed Twitter is bulls*** so you don't need any confirmation it's rubbish!

Talk of Spurs having a big clear out of fringe players maybe to fund a bid for Carroll, he wont be starved of quality balls into the box with Lennon/Bale on the wings

29 Jan 2012 21:26:31
According to kopsource Lfc have already signed Joao Carlos Teixeira?

29 Jan 2012 21:21:18
the latest rumour spurs in talks to sign andy carroll source that fountain of bull twitter. Red Kenny

I know 'Arry can't read and write, but this is ridiculous...he ain't that stupid...is he!?

So what your saying Scott Sinclair isn't good? 25 goals in 64 games for Swansea, not bad for a winger. What makes you doubt him? because he's English?

29 Jan 2012 21:20:00
ed
Do u think scott sinclair be a good sighning {Ed002's Note - I think he would make a decent squad player.}

If we want to be challenging for the top 4, we should really be aiming a bit higher than the likes of Sinclair. As the ed has said, a squad player at best.

Macca why do you keep dodging the question regarding the inter player? Why are you still unable to tell us who it is like you said you would?

You have just posted today that "a few journalists are now running the story on the inter player" but I still have no clue who you are on about.

You seem almost bewildered as to why people still question your information but what do u expect if you choose to be so vague and aloof?

On behalf of the entire site just answer the question and we can all move on...who is the Inter player we were trying to sign?

Thanks

Leo {Ed002's Note - Check back in the messages Leo - it was clear to me.}

Mate i am not dodging the question at all, i posted on here last week who it was, Luc Castaignos..

Its just i could not be arsed to spell it...

Cheers

Macca

Leo - Macca has been and still is regarded as a very trustworthy source of transfer information. We should be very grateful to have someone such as him willing to share the information as he does, so trying to bully a name out of him is a bit uncalled for.

I believe the reason he hasn't given the name outright is due to what happened last time with the Seb Coates signing? He mentioned it and next thing it's everywhere.

29 Jan 2012 21:13:02
Now it's tottenhams turn to be linked to buying Andy Carroll something must be going {Ed002's Note - You may want to check the year on the posts - see if it is 2011.}

I don't think Daniel Levy will allow Harry to sign anyone when he's lined up to be next England manager.

29 Jan 2012 21:11:40
i think i could be an "ed"

"no" "not sure" "i dont think so" "there is a possibility" " "maybe"

Give more opinions please eds, i like hearing opinions, which is why i hate the news, where they are just formal, tell us what you expect lfc to do!

Also congrats to DC, if he pulled off the swap of ac for ct, he would have his face on the big banner with shanks and paisley! {Ed002's Note - There are plenty of opinions, but what sort of answer do you expect when a player who Liverpool have not been interested in scores a goal and then comes the question "any chance ed?". Or someone puts out a Twitt saying Hoilet/Bent/Sinclair has signed today, or an unknow 12 year old from Bulgaria who does well on Fantasy Manager - "heard from my sources that " ... Perhaps try and see it from our perspective.}

So you reckon that swopping carroll for a talented evil maggot would rate Comoli alongside the 2 greatest managers in the club's history? Wow that's a great thought isn't it?

The eds to me are the last sanity on these pages, without them it would be a riot of bull crap spilling from every post.
It's transfer rumours, not transfer bull crap.

You're welcome

Myk

You know what, when you put it like that then fair enough. I apologise for my outburst, just deadline day nerves! as for lad who says swapping ac for ct is a bad move then youre ridiculous. Tevez is someone of outstanding quality that KK could hone and work with. AC is a blumbering stuttering fool. Im lfc till death, but when someone whos 6ft2 is being pushed on his arse all the time, has a worse touch than a rapist and looks like bambi on ice, it is plain to see if wont fit in with the pass and move style weve adopted.

29 Jan 2012 21:11:32
We need to sell Dirk Kuyt and Andy Carroll, if Italian clubs are interested in Dirk then we should sell him. I can understand the owners not wanting to spend big, after all, look at what happened with Andy Carroll. About £7m per game. However we need to sign an attacking mid, a winger and a goalscorer.

So we have till Tuesday night to negotiate a reasonable price for Carroll and Kuyt and buy the 3 players you say we need.Kenny better move fast!

Why are people so keen of selling Kuyt, he is an established player and any new players coming in could take months get up to speed, keep Kuyt in squad

Kuyt has been loyal and worked his socks off for us for 6 years. he has the chance to finally win a piece of silverware, nothing more than he deserves for his contributions, he aint going anywhere this window m8

Please apply for the managers job. It's not available at the moment, but I'm sure the owners will view your brilliant analysis favourably should the position become vacant.

We need a winger and attacking midfield and in the midst of this u guys wanna sell dirk kuyt, common boys make sense for now, kuyt wont be sold before summer

29 Jan 2012 21:07:06
Hi Eds, any chance of a bid for Formica of Rovers? He has good skills, control and might be a cheap option to add some flair? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

Haha good one

ste

29 Jan 2012 20:58:10
whats your view on swiss winger shaquiri sorry about spelling his club have said he can go in january and talks in turkey failed earlier this week he fits are transfer policy and is a real star.
we should be able to get him for 11 to 13 milllion which will be a steal. {Ed002's Note - See earlier answers.}

Can't you give a straight answer? {Ed002's Note - Over and over again you mean? I have already explained the situation with Shaqiri.}

And wot is it yes or no {Ed002's Note - The question was "what is your view" and you want a yes or no answer and not the one I gave at length?}

29 Jan 2012 20:49:41
Hazard has confirmed in an interview with Canal Plus that he will be playing in England next season. He will stay with Lille for the remainder of this season....Fingers crossed guys as he staes he wants to go to a club where e will get playing time. Guess that rules out City and United as he will most likely be rotated there.

Fingers crossed Comolli has worked some magic
Ciaran

Not gonna happen

Hazard does not want to play enough
for Liverpool, to play for Liverpool.

If this guy is as good as everyone says he will get more than enough playing time at either city or united. I'd love it to be us, but at this moment let's be realistic.

He is quite obviously going to Chelsea...

I think it may happen u know just wait an see yaa

As long as aresnal dont get into the chmpions leauge then we have a chance of signing him. I think he may end up at chelsea tho, AVB is an admira of him and is building a young side just my own personal veiw tho

He is going to chelsea much to our pity

Would rather Eriksen tbh

It's pretty obvious he's going to chelsea.

Yeah definitely off to Chelski. I think we should go in for his younger bother Thorgan, he looks like he'll be even better Eden.

29 Jan 2012 20:48:29
Hi Eds seen that we are being linked with a new GK,does that mean that Doni is leaving already?

PM {Ed002's Note - He is looking to return home to Brazil.}

29 Jan 2012 20:46:16
the guy who posted rumour about comolli mking 21m bid for cavani 3 times today is the same fool with too much time, go back to sleep you schoolboy its past 8. {Ed002's Note -

29 Jan 2012 20:43:22
I think the stories about Tevez swap would be bad, but if you look into it why was everyone praising Carroll after the Man Utd game Stevie and Kenny praised him so did Dirkaldinho and then they go and try get rid of him staight away, it will be a nervy few days now
in the meantime hears a joke for ye all
(Great site by the way EDs)

Kenny, Wenger, Redknapp, Boas and Fergie sitting in a pub, wenger goes and buys the first round of drinks, boas the second, redknapp the third, fergie the fourth. kenny buys the next but fergie complains "Wheres mine?" Kenny replies "Sorry pal, this is the fifth round and YOUR NOT IN IT

None of those teams were in the first or second rounds either.

Oh it's a Joke, give the guy a break!

*You're

I got a text not long after the win telling Man U fans to check ITV +1 because they were still in the cup. Cracked me up.

Hmmmmm good theory, they praised the big man so he must be on the way out. worried that Bellamy will be off now everyone was singing his praises on Wednesday ......... Or just because he put in a MOTM performance as did Carroll yesterday IMO

5times*****

All im saying is maybe they tried the swp before the game as in the night before or that morning and he found out and wasnt happy so they praise him to try keep him happy

It seems like your over thinking the situation, the lad had arguably his best game in a red shirt (apart from city game last year) and the team praised him. If you play well you get praised.

29 Jan 2012 20:42:33
Any chance of signing xherdan shaqiri?
{Ed002's Note - If Shaqiri were to be available now then there would be plenty of interest including at least Galatasary, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Hamburg, Leverkusen, both Manchester clubs and Liverpool. A recent low bid from Galatasary was not accepted and they are planning on trying again to get Basel to consider selling in this window. I am also sure if he were to become available then Arsenal would also be interested. However, for me it is tough to see him leaving a team he has been with since he was a young child - particularly during their Champions League run. Perhaps the summer is a better option - but there may be a slim chance.}

29 Jan 2012 20:20:14
Eds,

Why are you so adamant that we will not go for Cavani or Tevez?

Matt {Ed002's Note - Liverpool cannot afford Cavani and he is not available in any case. Two teams are interested in him and neither is Liverpool. Tevez seems like a very unlikely move and not a finacially sensible option. Dalglish really cannot be that dumb.}

Yes we can afford Cavani... {Ed002's Note - Sure, if Suarez is sold.}

Choices could have been
Dalglish really cannot be that dumb
or
Dalglish is smarter than that.
Not particularly reassured by your choice :-(.

Eds, Cristiano Ronaldo makes $17.06 million per year, messi is at 13.76 (this is fact)... The highest payed players on the boston red sox makes 21 million per year... and you're telling me we can't afford these players wages? I'm pretty sure we'd have more then enough to pay for Cavani or Tevez. Would like your opinion. {Ed002's Note - The Red Sox play 162 games a season plus more if they get to the post season.}

So what Ed? NFL players play 16 regular season games... Kind of a bad argument.. {Ed002's Note - The bottom line remains that the 50M euro asking price has two clubs still interested and neither is Liverpool. The need to compare with the NFL or Baseball is laughable I am afraid.}

29 Jan 2012 20:41:13
Hi ed's and Macca.. I am reading that Macca says if the Players are available, the owners would not be afraid to spend money.. well, who would you say is available? podolski? cavani? luuk de jong? i hope we sign a class striker! we need it!

Daniel91

29 Jan 2012 20:40:19
sneaky feeling that marin will sign.

remember the name. KABOOZLE

Sorry, I forgot your name. What was it again?

29 Jan 2012 20:37:19
Pablo Hernandez not in the Valencia squad today is he injured or on the move ??

He rarely ever plays for them...

He's injured

29 Jan 2012 20:31:29
I think liverpool will get scott sincair this up comin week 100%

29 Jan 2012 20:02:10
For those plonkers who are posting that Andy Carroll will be going on loan or will be sold to Sunderland I would point out that Martin O'Neill has approached Bolton about the availabilty of their veteran striker Kevin Davies.If this is an indication of their transfer budget then you can forget about Carroll going there since they couldn't pay his wages let alone his transfer fee.

And the fact that carroll is a life long newcastle fan wont have anything to do with him not going to sunderland.

29 Jan 2012 19:58:49
Hello Ed(s)

What are the chances of Liverpool signing a striker before Deadline day, and inparticular C.Tevez?

G {Ed002's Note - There is no reason why one will not be bought - but Tevez? No.}

29 Jan 2012 19:50:53
Very disappointed if the Carroll tevez swap is true,tevez is nothing but trouble and I'd rather we stuck with Andy and support him like we do every other Liverpool player.I think we could do with getting a right winger in this window and use kuyt Andy Luis and bellers up front.any idea if we're interested in any quality wingers eds?

Growler

Ye but you would snap a teams hand off if they offered you 35 million for him

No he's a Liverpool player regardless of how much he cost and I think he's going to be top quality,so if he wants to play for Liverpool I'd keep him.

29 Jan 2012 19:42:54
Hi edds... Teves to Liverpool seems unlikely to me, is there a name that you know of? And where do u get your sources? Bin watching what u have to say in the summer and u were right about the players we signed,

29 Jan 2012 19:42:03
although i think cavani is a possibility, it is highy highly unlikely. but as it showed last year that anything is possible. i would not bet on it but there is a slight possibility of cavani in red on tuesday after the game. we have a barganning chip over other EPL clubs. i would not place bets on cavani coming but anything is possible. i think may forwards are a possibility. but not teves his anticts and pay check are to much. and Dalglish wouldnt have it. so dont say he wont come there is a possibility no matter what the chance of it is. but i would not get my hopes us to come crashing down come deadline day.

What's our bargaining chip? Please explain that if you can! {Ed002's Note - There isn't one. One English club have a declared intered in Cavani and it remains most likely that Real Madrid will off load Higuain in the summer and use the money to buy Cavani.}

Its our two uruguayans, like he said there is a possibility and very slight at that, but who knows

29 Jan 2012 19:41:37
macca, Is the guy from inter your talking about, is it a loan deal or permanent one. the tension is killing me and I don't think I can wait until deadline day. HELP {Ed002's Note - I don't think that anything is expected to happen now with Inter.}

Who was it anyway?

Any news on the João carlos teixeira signing? Will it hapen? {Ed002's Note - My understanding is that ia deal for the "next Deco" will go through - but as he will be a reserve player do not expect the club to make much of it.}

29 Jan 2012 19:34:22
If Liverpool fail to make signings in this window it is not for want of trying
Anything is possible ?
We did not expect Andy Carroll for £35M last January
In the Liverpool way we trust
L1

We didnt expect it cause we didnt expect torres to leave

All these strikers being to LFC, however there is one striker which 99.9% done is EL NINO! Other strikers are a smokescree. This source has come from SC last night !!

29 Jan 2012 19:24:00
Carlos Tevez is highly likely to opt for a move to Liverpool, Tevez' agent; Pinhas Zahavi has good relations with Liverpool due to Javier Mascherano sharing the same agent.

Its just agreeing a deal with City for i Suspect £20 Million. {Ed002's Note - Joorabchian is representing Tevez, not Pini Z.}

Didn't your inside sources tell you you had the wrong agent?

Clowns like this should be blocked from this site !
JM

Haha can't even get the bull s**t rumour right!

They do both listen to Joorabchian tho so. but i hope we dont get tevez to much baggage

He does not like England, end of story now move on.
Eam

Actually the OP is correct as Joorabchian is NOT a licensed agent and therefore prohibited under our rules from representing any player in a negotiation. On paper Pinhas Zahavi is his official agent but it is clear that Joorabchian has a clever ability to work out how to ignore FA and Premier League rules. {Ed002's Note - Joorabchian is representing Tevez and can talk on his behalf as his representative, even within the EPL but he cannot be directly involved in any transfer or take any part of a transfer fee. He has never, as far as I know, claimed to be his "agent". Pini is certainly not involved in any current dealings with Tevez.}

Teves actually doesnt mind if he stays in this country.. its citeh and more so mancini he wants to get away from coz of the bust up they had.

Pity the agent is Kia Joorabchian so Zahavi is wasting everyones time then . As he is Fergies mate we wouldn't buy a programme of him I reckon !
Tevez story is utter bollox {Ed002's Note - I assume you wrote this without reading the post.}

29 Jan 2012 19:23:10
eds is there any truth in lucas barrios signing in this window or is it just people trying to sell papers? {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers.}

29 Jan 2012 19:18:10
Hello Ed002,
is Liverpool interested in getting Cavani or Lavezzi now?
thanks,
cheers {Ed002's Note - I think it rather unlikely that either will be joining Liverpool in the next few days.}

Ed002 . Do you commit to any rumours? {Ed002's Note - Yes loads and loads. And then I get trashed by those who think Hazard, Coentrao, Sanchez, Drogba, Falcao, Higuain, et al are all signing. I have explained who I know Liverpool to be interested in and who I know that will not be signing. If I come out and say that either Cavani or Lavezzi will absolutely not be signing in this window then we have to deal with a mass of abuse. There is certainly still interest in Luuk De Jong but no bid has been made.}

Ed 002 am I right in saying that this time last year you refused to believe Suarez was signing? {Ed016's Note - can you blame him for being suspect to the idea? but does go to show that anything can happen}

29 Jan 2012 19:06:28
Hello Ed002,
I know that you expect a winger and a striker to arrive till tuesday but is it possible that there will be no signings?
thanks {Ed002's Note - We don't know who will sign. It is of course possible there will be no one.}

29 Jan 2012 19:13:45
Hi Eds great work you guys do on here, do you know of Liverpool have sent scouts out to borussia Monchengladbach? Marco Reus looks a very good midfielder has also scored 11 goals in 16 games. Do you know of any interest in this player?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - As predicted Reus has signed for Dortmund and will move in the summer.}

29 Jan 2012 19:01:08
Eds is there any truth in us going in for Marco Marin would be a great signing i feel
Thx mkdlfc {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers.}

29 Jan 2012 19:09:37
Offically we don't sing any striker, according to D.Commoli.

Asked about Jelavic speculations he says: "We have BETTER options than Jelavic, but I think we don't sign striker in JANUARY." he tolds for Canal+

So you can't stop with speculations.

The better options is - D.Texeira, R.Soldado, E.Cavani and L.Podolski. We will sign one from this players, BUT IT WILL BE IN SUMMER!

The only sign for us in January will be swedish goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt(22), who will arrive in Monday for medical.

@nbstw

He's stopped speaking normal English now and starting talking like he's not been in the country for years.

Podolski injured and out for up to a month

@nbstw lad your having a laugh your one of the posters who posts the most daft rumours i used the search function you have linked us to nearly 20 players lol quoting various press releases now your saying no 1 will be signing so stop speculating your one of the worse offenders for speculation and your telling every 1 else to stop practice what you preach

The copy and paste daft rumours is off again!
Do you think you are actually in the know or something?

29 Jan 2012 19:11:24
I suppose we will be bidding for Ballack now .

Tee Hee

Mr Slonk The Red

Man Utd r in for him

29 Jan 2012 18:56:43
Skypad bloke just said that the carroll tevez swap effort is true and that Carroll is disappointed about how it is in the media
Wow, but why don't we try for something a bit more realistic?

Oh well as I'm happy to tell anyone if Sky says it it is 100% true!

Yeah we should go for Aguerro instead he cost pretty much the same, oh no sorry probably should try and swap Phil Babb for the money we'll get for Carroll right now

The story is written by Daniel Taylor of The Guardian who specialist subject is Man utd. It seems to me an opportunity has been taken to cause mischief. Why would Liverpool look at a player who is exactly the opposite to criteria being set out by FSG transfer policy ? Too old, expensive and doesn't want to play for the club. I'm suprised any Liverpool Fan would entertain this story as anything other than utter nonsense.

29 Jan 2012 18:53:18
Padolski out for a month, that's one rumour we can put to bed

Mellor

Really? Not saying you're wrong, in fact I don't believe we'll sign Podolski, but we knew Andy Carroll would be out for longer than that when we bought him.

29 Jan 2012 18:48:30
I look on this site every day thinking there might be some truth in these rumours but its seems most of them are pathetic namely Tevez to liverpool what a joke. he will be A-so unfit B-HE IS A MONEY GRABBER

If Tevez was a money-grabber, he'd be happy to stay at City. He did nothing wrong at United, only left because the club didn't want to pay the transfer fee. He was one of the best players last season. He clearly has a bad relationship with the manager and wants to leave as a result. I think it's highly probable that he will end up in Europe within 2 seasons, but if we can get him on a short-term deal he guarantees quality.

Red Ollie

29 Jan 2012 18:43:54
Hi Eds,it's not a rumour,just an opinion which maybe possible.Andy Carroll will be out(on loan or sold),to let Suarez wear the Number 9 shirt and Cavani Number 7.IMO we will sign 2 players.A striker and a right winger.Great site & Great work YNWA!

So we are going to loan out a player just to free up his squad number, quality

Suarez is a better player than Cavani. So would keep the Magical 7 Shirt.
kidmillions

God when I hear the name Cavani now I reach for a crucifix and some garlic.This rumour is like a bloody vampire and needs staking.we won't be signing Cavani and Carroll won't be going out on loan!

You cannot 'reshuffle' squad numbers midway through a season. New signings can only be given shirts that have no been assigned a "wearer" or that have been made available through a players departure from the club.

Why would we sell or loan out carroll to free up a shirt number.

No just for legend

29 Jan 2012 18:36:31
It is very unlikely that Andy Carroll will leave kd said in the interview that he played amazing against man utd and said he is in his plans for the future and the tevez sarga is a pile of crap he is one of them players that will cause problems in the Changen room and slowley but every match Carroll is getting better. Andy Carroll ynwa 5 years

If u were selling ur car would u talk it down? & they were questions kk answered about AC performance.

Jimbob

Don't recall Kenny saying Carroll was Amazing! As it clearly wasn't. Exaggerating his performance is also not doing him any favours. Keep it real.
kidmillions

29 Jan 2012 18:35:31
spoke to carrolls landlord and he told me the rumours about him leaving are pure fabrication because hes just signed a 2year extension on his lease agreement...you heard it here first !

phill mc cracken

You'd think with all his money Carroll could afford a place of his own

Yeah, nice story

Think you'll find he lives in a council flat.

I'm sure Andy could buy himself out of his 'agreement' if things changed.

I live 2mins from carroll's house and i know the fella who is leasing him his house very well this is true

He only has a 1 year lease. Ask Geoff

Or maybe we are loaning him to Tranmere for two years?

29 Jan 2012 18:27:48
Ed002, do you think we will buy anybody even at this late stage? If so what postition?
Cheers C.H {Ed002's Note - I am not going to speculate about positions and the question has already been answered many times.}

29 Jan 2012 18:27:14
Hello Ed002,
Is Maxi going anywhere in this window?
thanks {Ed002's Note - I suspect the summer is more likely.}

29 Jan 2012 18:24:43
Mario Gomez will sign for Liverpool on a loan deal to last the until the end of the season. Most likely to link up with Suarez as Carroll just doesn't fit the bill. Quality loan deal for a player who has been digging away from the Bundesliga for some time.

Are you sure or are you lieing

Awhile ago Liverpool could not get Mario for 20M now he's coming for free Kop yourself on lad

Bayern's top scorer on loan, dont think so mate

Didn't we offer 30 million or even 35 and carroll was the back up option?

Bayern munich's top striker on loan ? that is one of the most absurd things i've heard for a while, and reading some of the nonsense on here and elsewhere, that is saying something

Go and play on football manager some more

29 Jan 2012 18:23:36
I know he only moved to PSV in the summer but we need to prize Dries Mertens away from them he could be our Silva / Mata

Mertens is way better footballer than the overrated Hazard, IMO. We won't get him, though. Maybe in summer.

BooDaBooze

29 Jan 2012 18:20:27
I have no news for you all, sorry..

None of the players have any idea who we are trying to sign..

I see that people are still questioning my info, which surprises me..

I see that a few journalists are now mentioning the proposed deal i told you about 2 weeks ago for the lad from Inter..

Also what a great week its been..

Cheers

Macca

So long as its not Tevez I don't mind

Thanks macca and the eds
Keep up the good work. I hope we do sign a striker and a winger. Will just have to wait and see. Thanks again
adnaan

MWas mentioned in the times today Macca, Best week we've had for a while.

Boxer

Thanks Macca,

You give us more information that anyone else.
Ignore all the haters, they just expect the world, so your never gonna win with them!

-Shar-

Cheers as always Macca.

So glad that these things are now being done the Liverpool way and kept behind closed doors (of course that's even if anything is happening at all). And even your source has no idea who is a player! Great stuff, the way it should be

Will keep hoping on tuesday we sign someone exciting but in all honesty, I don't overally think we need anyone.

Cheers

Sisco

Macca and eds would you reckon there is any chance at all of this tevez deal happening.i no all the eds dont want this but i think it would really help us challenge for a top four spot this year.if he starts to give trouble then get rid of him if we get top four because we will be able to attract better quality strikers then.

Macca tell them players to pull there fingeres out and get you/us some info! Lol

Hi Macca, just ignore the sceptics and keep up the great work. IMO one of the few people on here to have anything useful or factual to say.

No worries Macca, we all know it's nearly impossible to get info out of LFC now. On behalf of all of us mature and realistic fans keep up the good work & post something when you can. We appreciate your info so ignore the doubters & dreamers they haven't a brain between them! I agree mate what a great week - hopefully plenty more to come....
SANCHEZ_75

As much as I KNOW macca has genuine sources and is correct all of the time...I am not slating him here..simply pointing out something

The inter loan deal was in the press a few days prior to you putting in on here,not saying you stole it from papers etc,just that not all journalists are bad :-)

29 Jan 2012 18:20:08
after the everton bid for jelavic it lead me to think who has less money? lol

What??

Rangers have rejected a reported £7 million bid for Jelavic [ according to the media believe that or not as you choose ] and Everton have again "reportedly" received £5 or 6 million for Bilyaletdinov so they will likely have to scrape up a couple of million more before they can sign Jelavic.it doesn't follow that Everton have better financial standings than we do just that they desperately need a striker who they may or may not manage to buy.

29 Jan 2012 18:05:41
hi ed are we gonna sell Carroll in this transfer window? {Ed002's Note - I don't know that there are any offers for him or that a replacement is lined up. As such, probably not.}

I hope carroll stays he just needs time but hope we sign another striker (hopefully cavani) or we won't get this all important 4th spot.

Ed002 do you think we would sell him if we had the right offer come in or do you believe he's here for the long haul {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what will happen in the summer with Carroll. A lot will depend on how he does over the coming months, if the team qualify for the Champions League and no doubt one or two other decisions.}

Cheers for the reply Ed002 just wondered what your thoughts were on andy carrolls long term future at lfc

29 Jan 2012 17:56:56
Ive been told on good authority that if any players leave it must be by lunch time tuesday any players entering will be done before kick of

Y.N W.A

Darzokid

I've been told on good authority that this is b*llocks

What if someone offers 20 million for Maxi at tea time? Will we tell them their too late? ;)
kidmillions

Got a feeling we'll get an e-mail just after the kick off Tuesday? Cavani for £20 Mil.
Darn it too Late!!
kidmillions

Kid millions wise up obviously if twenty mill for maxi well say yes but this window the focus is on the academy and the tragets for summer are mouth watering lol

29 Jan 2012 17:56:55
ed 002 knnows something about these current transfer mess or he is playing up think he knows someting

guled

Ed002, he knows nothing, but SHE might know something, but im sure if she did, she'd be happy to pass this information on as she so usually does.

Carb

29 Jan 2012 17:56:26
ed are we gonna sign one of them cavani or tevez? {Ed002's Note - I rather doubt it.}

ARRRGGHH no not those two bloody names again!

29 Jan 2012 17:56:23
Hi eds,
Is there any more info on patricio rodriguez the winger from indipendiente, looks like a little Eden hazard type player and would be a lot cheaper and just as good. Do u know if Liverpool are after him

Percy {Ed002's Note - I refer to previous answers either this morning or yesterday.}

29 Jan 2012 17:53:37
ricky van wolfwinkel from sporting. would be a realistic target, and is a quality striker!

{Ed006's Note - He is terrible, he isnt realistic as he has just joined them in the summer.}

29 Jan 2012 17:48:42
Carroll will sign for Sunderland on deadline day on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season! you heard it here first.

{Ed006's Note - ha}

The fact he's a Newcastle fan born and bred yeah Fowler to sign for United with Gerrard and Carra

Thus leaving us with just Kuyt as our only striker you numpty. And of course Sunderland is a club he'd love to join! Not a bleeding chance of that you loon!

29 Jan 2012 17:23:15
Hi eds, why does doni want to leave? And are we really going to begin talks with kristoffer nordfeldt?
{Ed002's Note - This was dealt with yesterday.}

29 Jan 2012 17:07:31
eds iwas just on sky sports channel and they say that closes close to anfield have said the tevez approach was true and that caroll was dissapointed with how the news was revealed.

i dont know what to beleive because from last year i beleived macca and the eds on what they said ut b4 that i used sky sports as a credibe source personally i think andy wont be at liverpool on wednesday mmay end up at newcastl or west brom and lfc will sign a world class stirker hopefulkly thanks plese reply

rafiqe red {Ed002's Note - We will have to wait and see.}

Your illiterate mate. Tevez won't be coming in a swap for Carroll, that's not saying Carroll won't be leaving though

We'll sell Andy to WBA? You truly are a crackpot lad! Mind you if you believed that SSN is a credible source then that proves you're mental!

Ed you deffo know whats going to happen but wont tell us {Ed002's Note - No neat to shout, I am not deffo.}

That why harry redknapp talks to them everyday (sky sports) and tells them about what he is plannign etc sky sports is credible but it has to wait to be seen if they are more credible macca and the eds

rafiqe red

Ye west brom will offer us 20-35 million pounds and why would newcastle buy back carrol when theve just signed cisse

"Your illiterate mate"

Nice criticism retord. You're or you are, take your pick. {Ed002's Note -

Listen rafiqe the last 2 transfer windows the super honest Redknapp talked to SSN and told them he was signing noone.Then he signed Rafael van der Vaart at the last second.At the next window he said the same and tried to highjack Charlie Adam at the last second.If you believe a liar all that proves is you're gullible! {Ed002's Note - VDV was signed without Redknapp's knowledge.}

29 Jan 2012 17:06:18
I've read about this idiotic Carrol and Tevez story in about four newspapers and four websites today and as of yet not one has named a source which confirms to me that it is totally made-up.

Kind of looking forward to hearing the bollocking the first reporter stupid enough to mention it to Kenny Dalglish gets tomorrow.

(It's been a quiet tranfer window and journos need to pay the mortgage to. Poor lambs)

Po

Watching that Sunday Supplement show on Sky this morning and all the football writers sidled around the story saying things like "someone associated with City said"! So I reckon you're spot on that they made it up and ran it because it would stir up loads of publicity for themselves.

You have got to love Kenny interviews, he like an articulate version of the Fonz *clicks fingers and pops collar*

KNEE JERK

29 Jan 2012 17:04:08
Hey Eds!

What about Antoine Griezmann? He has done a delightful match one more time for the Real Sociedad. {Ed002's Note - I really don't know of any serious interest from Liverpool in Griezmann, but he has been watched. Players are watched all of time by scouts representing the likes of Liverpool and more often than not rumours begin when a scout has attended a game and is doing no more than taking a look at one or two players. Valencia, Marseille and Lyon have shown some confirmed interest in the past and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time. The only club that made serious enquiries in the summer were Athletico Madrid and we are aware that such a move would have been acceptable to the player. Chances of a January move anywhere are very slim.}

29 Jan 2012 16:52:16
Same rumours every year, someone post something original, the banter page is actually better than the rumour page, what does that say? The editors must get sick of reading the same rumours day in day out. The only one thats possible to happen to me is the David Texeira one. Also we know that KD likes to sign british footballers, the likes of scott sinclair, he would be a great signing, young, pacy and wouldn't cost much.

I heard we might be after Aguero!

dmedly

Eds i dont think u know what a class player is either

29 Jan 2012 16:51:02
ed answer honestly do you think reds will buy a class player this transfer window {Ed002's Note - I don't know what a "class" player is. Sorry.}

You dont know the meaning of a class player?!?!! Oh please.

Thought you followed football! Don't know what a class signing is? time to pack it in I think. Don't they say sarcasm is the lowest form of wit? {Ed002's Note - Perhaps you could list five players who are "class" signings, five who are not and five on the cusp. The perhaps you could explain the criteria for deciding if they are "class" signings or not.}

You can't give the name of one class player and yet you expect me to name 15! Get real!! Wouldn't want to steal your thunder ; ) {Ed002's Note - So the bottom line is that it is all nonsense then. How about one on the cusp of being class or not and the criteria for such determination?}

29 Jan 2012 16:50:58
Thee is a massive rumour going around that Macca has gone on holiday - or is he just being quiet?

Exiled Scouser {Ed002's Note - Perhaps out celebrating after yesterday? Perhaps celebrating the arrival of Cavani and Hazard on Tuesday?}

Nice one Ed but did you have to mention bloody Cavani again?

29 Jan 2012 16:46:35
Hi Eds

Do you think we will sign Luuk de Jong this window?

Wales {Ed002's Note - I don't know but it does not look as likely as it did.}

29 Jan 2012 16:41:23
what happens when you get banned you cant post on the website ? post on liver latest rumourr please? {Ed002's Note - And we tell your parents about what you have said or done.}

And a wedgie! ;-)
5uarezTimes

What do you have to do to get banned Eds? {Ed002's Note - Pretty much anything that (a) pisses me off; (b) upsets me even slightly; (c) questions my opinion on anything; or (d) use the "j" word.}

What about if I say "I heard this from twitter..."

dmedly {Ed002's Note - Honesty is always the best policy. You will be sneered at and derided by fellow fans. Children on the street will point at you and laugh and the puppies in the windows of pet shops will turns their backs on you. But you won't be banned.}

What the j wors
5uaresTimes u copied my name

29 Jan 2012 16:35:33
Hi Ed(s) - The carp story Sky are running about us trying to get Andy Carroll out is bound to have an unsettling effect on the poor lad whose confidence is already shot to bits.
I think, if it is bulls..t, the club need to make a statement and put the lads mind at rest. Do you think they will?
The Goatherder
JFT96 {Ed002's Note - I doubt the club will care.}

Well they should care! If it's not true then it's in there best interest to make a "false" statement. OBVIOUSLY!! {Ed002's Note - So you then expect the club to make a statement for every single rumour as to whether it is true or false? Perhaps Kenny could rate them out of 10?}

Prob chelski don't care about their players, but at Liverpool, we are like a family... so Ed002 be careful what you are saying. {Ed002's Note - Try not to be such a jerk.}

I hope to God they do care mate. Regardless of whether it's true or not, this will get in Andy's head and that's the point I'm trying to make. He needs to know that the club are 200% behind him but more importantly, right here and now he needs the fans behind him and with s..t like this in the public domain, whether it's right or not, there will always be 'fans' who believe it and by default, carry on with the disrespectful critisism of his game.
The Goatherder

29 Jan 2012 16:31:32
Hi eds
Do u thunk that we could sign Klose, because honda is going to lazio, and that might force him out of the starting 11?? {Ed002's Note - No.}

People need to stop getting too excited when a player scores for their team like klose did today. and then immediately think we will sign them.

29 Jan 2012 16:27:35
Afternoon eds and fellow reds , do you think tevez talk could be a ploy to speed up milans intrest in him ,and in return we get a different man city player. could have been arranged after wednesday match.cheers psv thought please {Ed002's Note - A charming idea, but no.}

Conspiracy theory is almost always rubbish!

29 Jan 2012 16:23:36
Luuk De Jong scored a hat-trick today. wouldn't be a bad transfer deadline day buy but can't see a move till the summer.

29 Jan 2012 16:11:19
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is planning a double transfer-window swoop on the Bundesliga.

The Reds have lined up Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin and Borussia Dortmund striker Luca Barrios.

Anfield director of football Damien Comolli identified Marin - German, but of Serbian descent - more than a year ago and Liverpool are understood to have failed in a bid to sign the winger last summer.

Now they are trying to revive the a deal for a fee of around £12million but time is running out before the window closes on Tuesday night.

If only if was true but i expect more media rubbish ?

Your thoughts Ed's or Macca

Red G

Marin, 22, played twice for Germany during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and is regarded as a promising young talent. {Ed019's Note - Probably an old rumour being recycled}

If i recall rafa had checked out marin for 12 months great young player ,spur were intrested aswell

Someone on tw@tter just said we've paid £1m to have first refusal on him, likely move in the summer.

What's that smell..?

dmedly

29 Jan 2012 15:55:23
The rumour of a Carroll and a Tevez swap is clearly a smokescreen to get in a massive player by the King and Commoli!

Very much doubt it

Yeah....clearly! lol its just paper bs mate!

PDUK

My god, thats now twice Ive heard this smoke screen s**te resurface from the last transfer window.
Do you think if Henderson or Downing crossed a ball instead of cutting in and having a shocking finsh suits his stlye of paly? Get a grip.
GoodKopBadKop

29 Jan 2012 15:44:20
Hi guys and ed's
Question for ed 02 , your opinion that one or two players will come in during jan, is that based on your personal opinion or some kind of info.
P.s great job and thanks in advance
Mo {Ed002's Note - It is an opinion I have given since before the window opened - so I may as well stick to it.}

Macca {Ed019's Note - No Fake maccas today}

What ed? {Ed019's Note - A man pretending to be Macca decided to post in saying that we will get Tevez for £15M. He had been banned}

Ah, thanks ed. why do they do it?

29 Jan 2012 15:43:44
The Sunday Times is running with a story that during the week Liverpool offered Man City a swap deal - Tevez for Carroll. I have spoken with a person I know that works for the club (only an office worker). They tell me that it's not a rumour doing the rounds internally. Personally, I think the Sunday Times is barking mad and that they've made this up. RED LENIN

Someone not gullible, thank you.

Chinese bloody whispers mate.It gets passed from paper to paper and grows by feeding on numbnuts that believe it.

29 Jan 2012 15:37:54
Hi eds is it true liverpool are after marin and barrios. Also ba's release clause is £7m. Think we could bid for any of them? {Ed002's Note - Please see earlier responses about the players from Germany. Ba will not be moving this window.}

29 Jan 2012 15:29:47
Come on Macca mate need some of your Expertise after all this speculation flying around!!

Stop posting made up rumours. There will be NO TEVEZ and NO CAVANI.....unfortunately

Who we will sign actually

Yes sir, sorry sir.

I doubt we will be signing anyone

I know Tevez is a money grabbing t**t but he also is a fantastic footballer and a goalscorer !! what harm could a loan deal do ? {Ed002's Note - There is no loan deal.}

Ahh really it would have made the team alongside messi

Who do you think you are his agent

29 Jan 2012 15:13:22
Hi ed, is there still a interest in luuk de jong as he scored a hat trick today? {Ed002's Note - Interest remains but no offer has been made.}

29 Jan 2012 15:08:07
Cavani is on the bench for todays game so he is not on his way to liverpool.

A really good game by the way.

Chinup

29 Jan 2012 15:05:40
Got some exciting information that Liverpool are trying to sign Tevez AND Mascherano on loan deals. I'm not sure about it. Just wanted to pass the info. Ed / Macca, could there be a possibilty that this could happen?

Matty {Ed002's Note - Seems unlikely to me Matty.}

Mascherano? The man wanted to leave because he wasn't settled in this country. Why can't people get their heads round that?

It might excite you but it doesn't excite me because it's a load of rubbish!

29 Jan 2012 14:58:31
Luuk de Jong scored a Hat-trick against Texeira's team.
Cavani on the bench for Napoli "had a knock" no he didn't this is just how childish the manager can get when rumours arise.

Podolski is out injured for 3-4 weeks.
Dutchmal

Excuse me but are you saying Cavani was dropped by his manager because there was a rumour about the Reds bidding for him? Now that makes about as much sense as dropping Stevie Gee because of a rumour.

No the fact that if cavani agent is talking to teams with cavani's say so, disregarding Naploi's intentions of keeping him Mazzarri is likely to be a t**t. {Ed002's Note - That would be tapping up.}

29 Jan 2012 14:46:35
is this true ed: According to sources well placed at Anfield, Damien Comolli is travelling to Naples to propose a £21m bid for Edinson Cavani {Ed002's Note - I would not have thought so.}

Wouldn't be enough to buy him even if it was true

This is from a Twitter rumour doing the rounds. They never name their source, just a convenient "someone within the club" {Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

29 Jan 2012 14:37:02
please eds. can you please stop all these posts about tevez for the rest of the day please as its ruining my sunday on here.its all a load off toilet anyway. you can let them through tomorrow as i'm at work.thanks alot from 90% of lfc fans on here atleast i hope its that much. do we really need a trouble maker.

buddy's reds.

Its ruining your sunday? You must have a boring life letting a rumour ruin your day
Redrob

We need a goal scorer, I may be speaking for the ten percent but i would take tevez as a short term fix no problem. and if this RUMOUR site is spoiling your sunday, log off lol

Please you take him! I don't want the mercenary trouble maker at Anfield not even on a loan!

A player like tevez, in partnership with suarez bellemy Carrol and kuyt could make us the difference of finishing 4 compaired to 6 th, he might have a poor attitude to say the least but not many will disagree heals world class,even if we only sign him till the end of the season he has the ability to get us that forth spot aswell as a few cups ;) lfcnatn

It's a rumour site mate, CHILL. Go on any other websites & you'll find the same rumour/news. Would be stupid if didn't have the same rumour/news wouldn't it!

What a pointless post! Alls I can say is I hope there is some truth in the tevez rumour & your nonsense posts are not posted.

Font like rumours? Stay of the site!!

29 Jan 2012 14:35:29
Why not instead of buying a striker we give a young reserve player the chance to prove themselves upfront?

Because we want to get in the top 4

Our reserves never seem to get a look in and are left to rot or loaned out to some lower division side.I doubt there's a team in the league worse at bringing through young players into the first team squad.

Theyr not good enough ...fact!!!

What about Stirling i think he would be a breath of fresh air and IMO no worse than downing!

Ye because sterling gets england call ups

Bringing through one a season would be realistic {Ed001's Note - I think one every couple of seasons is more realistic than one a year.}

29 Jan 2012 14:28:18
Cavani not start todays game for Napoli.Liverpool next?

It could be anyoen that's in for him, Cheslea could do with a striker. AC Milan, Inter and PSG were all looking at Tevez so could be them either. I'd put us bottom of that list because they can offer CL football next season we can't. Stranger things have happened but £21million? When we were looking at the likes of De Jong and Texiera?
Bommy

Bommy

Liverpool next? NO!

Hopefully

29 Jan 2012 13:56:16
LFC have now formally tried to get a loan deal with Inter-striker Luc Castaignos.

This must be what Macca was talking about?

Unless the mighty Macca actually name's a name we'll never know will we?

This is true

29 Jan 2012 13:51:42
Liverpool are set to sign a young swedish goalkeeper called 'Nordford' or so something like that,

Likely to happen tomorow once terms are agreed.

Doni looking for a free transfer out of the club, although there has been no offers from anywhere as of yet.

Joa Carlos Texiera is very close.

No more players are being looked at, so do not believe the Cavani, Tevez etc...

In the know - Snow

Doni is wanted by Sao Paulo

He was wanted by Sau Paulo, but due to Rubinho becoming a free agent it is looking more likely they will sign him.

Snow

Hey Ed002 looks like your favourite Cavani rumours are back ;-) if only they were true!!

However i'd be more than happy with Barrios and Marin as reported today, but after reading your reply to an earlier question about them just wondering if you see Marin moving in January if we did bid etc. or would his club wnat to hold out till summer before selling?

Cheers and only 2 days left you can make it ;-) {Ed002's Note - Barrios makes sense - but Marin is harder to see in January and the summer seems much more likely. If he was available now I could also see a push by Arsenal.}

Arsenal brought Chamberlain, Gervinhio and Benayou who all can be considered as transfers that worked out. on top of that, they have wallacot and Arshavin. so with all due respect editor, I can't see Arsenal going for Marin. they have other priorities.

miccmak {Ed002's Note - Benayoun is on loan and Arsharvin will be leaving. With all due respect.}

Well I'll be happier if we sign with completely unknown players that play very good, give their hearts and carry the team on their backs rather than high-profile players that demand high-standard wages, their names are on high-format pages and they make low-league performance!

StevenS

Your very twitch on arsenal Ed 02. Are some editors on here not primarily lfc supporters? On a positive note I hope we sign a quality right winger or one that is versatile, and a tricky but awkward striker with finishing ability. Cheers guys {Ed001's Note - does it matter who they support?}

I dont think it matters who the eds support at all as long as there not bias against lfc and allow it to cloud there judgement or effect there answers which i dont think it does plus i think ed002 is a chelsea fan if i remeber right n 4 that he/she has had alot of undeserved abuse to put up wit as hav many eds from sum pathetic ppl 4 different but equally undeserved reasons. CRAIG

29 Jan 2012 13:42:21
I just checked SlyBet, Ed mate. And surprise, surprise they've dropped Tevez's odds of joining LFC, to 7-1. Only 2nd behind AC. Milan, who are 2-1.

They really are pathetic, I despise them.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

I'm guessing your from Newtownards in Northern Ireland with a name like that mate.

I just heard on SSn that Carroll was quoted as being unhappy at how the news has come to light..seems like there is legs to this afterall.

Bommy

If you heard it on SSN Bommy mate, it must be true. lol

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Why are people so keen to believe s***e stories and give them credibility? I swear if some knobhead posted that we're signing the entire Barca squad some dipstick would post "no smoke without fire" or something like that.

Blair mate - you don't seem to have a clue about the way world works. Slybet as you call them change prices when money comes in - so they're reactive rather than proactive. Every bookie has been stung by someone with inside knowledge so they slash prices to reduce risk. Not a hard concept to grasp. And SSN use the contacts of people like David Craig who is closer to people in football than most people on here. He didn't claim an exclusive - but he did speak to people inside LFC and people close to Carroll to check the accuracy of the story in various papers. These people have nothing to do with Murdoch or The Sun so why the SLY comments all the time ?

29 Jan 2012 13:38:08
Skysports reporting the Carroll and Teves deal being rejected by Man City. Apart from Skysports, I've got wind close from a source reporting Liverpool will come back with an improved deal..

Watch this space people, Monday and Tuesday about to get heated!

KopBoy

Why dont we try and swap carroll for messi ?

Name your source or shut up! The only thing getting heated is your imagination.Anyone who closes with "Fact" or "Watch this space" is a liar!

What have you got.......wind?

They actually did try...look at the news! fool!

29 Jan 2012 13:22:17
Who are ya, mates? Please, stop posting about Tevez and Carroll as this will not happen. Almost every post contains the name of Tevez. Why would you want to see a disloyal Tarzan in your team tough?
StevenS

Because most of the best players in the world tend to be "disloyal" rather than ones who sit on wages.

Totally agree. And why would we want to sign that sulky nark !

I don't but he's a significantly better player than Big Andy. Would our CL chances be better with Tevez or Carroll? We all know the answer. Personally don't want either at the club medium term, as they are either not good enough or too expensive / too much baggage
Vic

Maby because he can score something carrol carnt do

29 Jan 2012 13:22:11
Eds do rumours about a Tevez loan deal (and not a Carroll swap) have a real sens? is there any truth in ur opinion?

Moroccan Red {Ed002's Note - I refer you to earlier answers.}

29 Jan 2012 13:19:17
Is everybody blind. Carrol sucked big time. Bellamy did a better job as a striker against man city Yeah he set up the goal. And now everybody is praising him in 2 heaven. We need another striker that's a fact.

Reports in Japan claim Lazio are closing in on the signing of CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda. The Japan international is expected to undergo a medical on Sunday, with reports suggesting the clubs have agreed a fee and Honda has settled on personal terms.

Why don't we make a bid for honda

Miku 39

You are absolutely right here.

Get behind ya team will you, andy carroll had a good game, give him his due

Yes somebody with a clue about football, Carroll is not good enough for LFC, it's about time fans start excepting he's the worst panic buy ever and who ever scouted him should be sacked, funny thing is if it was a rafa

Because he's not a striker...

You've got a point there, saying the guy sucks will almost certainly increase his value and make him a better player. We should also make a bid for a player based on the fact he's all but agreed terms with another club. You're a genius you mate.

You've got a point there, saying the guy sucks will almost certainly increase his value and make him a better player. We should also make a bid for a player based on the fact he's all but agreed terms with another club. You're a genius you mate.

Did you read what I wrote?? If I am a genius you are Einstein lol. and I am behind lfc. But carrol had enough chances in my opinion.

Clue about football? Honda plays in midfield...

Clue about football? Honda plays in midfield...

Did I say you have to buy honda to replace carrol? NOOO The two things I said has nothing to do with each other. Honda is idd a midfielder I was just saying he would be a great player for lfc.

Bet you used to say Lucas was not good enough for lfc. Vast majority of people would agree he worked hard and had a good game. Either you're blind or know nothing about football.

Rob s

How do you know Honda would be a great player for LFC?
Every player you sign is a gamble thats the nature of football. Its just the size of the gamble you take.
Chelsea took a £50mil gamble on Torres its not been working out, we took a £35mil gamble on Carroll at the mo its not working out. Manutd brought Forlan who failed with them but has been brilliant with everybody else. We signed Suarez for £23mil hes been brilliant.
Thats why youve gotta love football.
But while Carroll plays for LFC lets support him.
Sean

The future will tell rob s and I hope you are right and yes I am blind. He had an amazing game. He worked hard that's true and I am not beeing sarcastic about that. Read between the lines and don't put words in my mouth.

Sry sean I meant I think. And idd every player is a gamble. Messi ;)

What words did I put in your mouth?

Your actual words were 'Carroll sucked big time' a point which I happen to think is totally wrong in this instance. He had a very good game, looked lively and dangerous. My point is whilst h is an lfc player get behind him and give him some confidence. If the managers had listened to every fan that said Lucas wasn't good enough we would never have the brilliant player we have now. Players develop at different rates and I for one think with the right service he will be a very good player for us
Rob s

That's ok you dont have to say sorry everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I maybe pessimistic and Messi is the best player in the world but whos to say he could cut it in the premier league, english football and spanish football are different (english being alot more physical)

He probably would be amazing in the PL but there is no guarantees in football. Just cause you're great in one country/club doesn't mean you will be in another it does depend on the player, their ability to settle down etc. But in a dream world i would be more than happy if LFC took a gamble on Messi.

2 rob s was talking about the lucas part I idd said the carrol part. I want it to work for liverpool. But I don't see it happen

2 sean I agree

Carroll started to play better a few weeks ago, he was one of only 2 players who took anything from the Bolton game, he's adapting, I'm sure all of the idiots on here will love him when he's banging goals in for England at the next world cup!

29 Jan 2012 13:15:30
Sky Sports News!

Apparently Liverpool have approached Manchester City about a straight swap deal, involving Andy Carroll, and yes, Carlos Tevez. Given that it is SSN it has to be true right eds!

I for one would love to see this happen, as the resale value on Tevez is huge, that in even his 30's he would probably be sold for atleast 15-20 million back to his homeland.

How thick are you? Notice how hard City have tried to unload him and he's still not been sold! Avoid the evil sod like the plague!

Just because it is in murdochs news channel does not mean it is true. sky sports sources is barely more credible than a newspaper source. you notice how these media use fail etc when it comes to things like this. just trying to deflect from a great day yesterday. and do you think kk would tolerate an impudent money grabber like tevez

Rafa signing then everyone would be calling for rafas head, ( lets be honest rafa would never spend 35mil or had the chance to, Torres for 23mil was his max) but because it was dalglish who signed him he's not that bad and will come good. Get a crip!!
Lpoolkris

Utter Bulls**t would you be able to sell him for 15-20 mill in his 30s to an Argentine team

Given it's SSN it has to be true? Jesus...

EVeryone has crap sources. On the one hand, there are a number of logical reasons why this is bull; and on the other, SSN are reporting it. Which seems more likely?

TSP

Hey ed is Tevez going to liverpool + is it true david comolli is going to by cavani? {Ed002's Note - I suspect neither will happen.}

Since when has anything thats been on SSN ( other than a result) been fact!?

And since when have argentianian clubs been paying $15-$20 mil for players?? Even less so ones in their 3o's that are on $10 mil a year in wages!!?

Lastly it's quite eel known he doesn't want to stay in UK- he either wants to go back to south America or play in a Mediterranean country..

Rob s

''Given that it is SSN it has to be true right eds!''- LOL

davethebutcher

29 Jan 2012 13:10:55
Come on people , does anyone actually think tevez would take a £100/150,000 drop in wages!? The Guys more of a cash grabber the Masc was......No chance!

Kopite 81

How can you say masrcherano is a cash grabber?? he left us to play for one of the best teams ever....look what hes one since hes left and what weve won?

Well before the milan rumour came in, it was reported that he was willing to cut his wages by 50% to go to Milan.

Miccmak

29 Jan 2012 13:10:44
"Kristoffer Nordfeldt has revealed that he is having talks with Liverpool tomorrow."

Any truth Ed's? Thanks! {Ed002's Note - So we keep hearing. It makes sense as he is a free agent and Liverpool may well need to recruit a goalkeeper to replace Doni.}

Why is doni leaving?

29 Jan 2012 13:09:42
The Tevez/Carroll situation clearly isn't "nonsence" as we are being told as a number of higher profile sources have reported the incident. They are NOT in the habit of promoting tittle tattle shopped around at this time of the year during the transfer window. As much as some wouldn't like to believe it, it's obviously a valid story.

OHMIGOD newspapers don't report "tittle tattle" not ever do they? Obviously you're a sucker but that doesn't mean the rest of us are!

Haha yeah it's OBVIOUSLY valid.

Does your "higher profile sources" include Skysports and Sunday papers? HAHA!

29 Jan 2012 12:42:28
Breaking: According to sources well placed at Anfield, Damien Comolli is travelling to Naples to propose a £21m bid for Edinson Cavani

{Ed002's Note - Gosh, that is exciting news.}

21 mill for one of the worlds most deadliest strikers who is only 23 and is willing to give up champions league footy...i dont think so

Arrrggghh not the bloody Cavani thing again? God I can't wait for the window to close so I don't read any more crap about us signing Cavani or re-signing Torres!

£21m? Haha no chance

Heared exactly the same thing, but napoli will not sell him this window, a deal could be agreed for the player this window but will move at the end of the season.

And where have you seen this?

Napoli will only accept Cash! Comoli will arrive in Italy with the suitcases of money accompanied by minder Andy Carroll.

29 Jan 2012 12:44:16
Even if we dont get tevez at least we know the club is trying to buy in a top quality striker it is nice for the first time in a long time to see us linked to a WORLD CLASS player (suarez excluded) what you think eds?

Ronny the Red.

29 Jan 2012 12:39:28
Well Ed's more fabricated rumours flosting around but all I wanna know is,

Any updates on Isla? starting to think making foundations for a summer move will be best with this player.

Teixera(spelling) seems to have gone cold, anything with that?

Cheers lads
LFC Paddy {Ed002's Note - There is nothing on Texeira that I am aware of. Isla looks like someone who Liverpool will look to bring in during the summer - but I am not so sure this window.}

Cheers ED002 I thought that myself, hopefully this Barrios deal takes off and Arsenal and Roma dont move on it

29 Jan 2012 12:34:01
eds, do you think that Liverpool could move for Lucas barrios? he seems to have lost his place in the Dortmund lineup.
Australian Red {Ed002's Note - Please see earlier answers.}

29 Jan 2012 12:22:51
The national are reporting we have made a formal offer for inter milan striker Luc Castaigno? Is this true eds?

Cheers
mighty reds {Ed002's Note - Castaignos was seemingly of interest a couple of weeks ago and he was slated for a loan to Everton at the start of the Window. I don't know of any formal bid, but it may not be out of teh question.}

LFC Transfer Speculations

FC Groningen deny any interest in striker Teixeira, not even by Liverpool. #LFC

29 Jan 2012 12:53:26
Liverpool have bid £21 million for Edinson Cavani

Spud

No we haven't dipstick!

I heard it was £100 mill

When they going to bid for his other leg?!

You fool.

Is that for his top half or bottom half?

29 Jan 2012 12:51:17
FC Groningen deny any interest in striker Teixeira, not even by Liverpool.

@nbstw

29 Jan 2012 12:48:32
Liverpool have inquired about Tevez. It's only a loan move till the end of the season. Liverpool won't be buying him though. & ANdy Carroll is staying as far as this transfer window is concerned .. rumours of a swap with Tevez is crap. Also Tevez is expected to have a pay cut to join LFC. Citeh r not keen on loaning him.. they want to sell him asap.

On David Texeira: it is close to completion but if LFC gets green light on Tevez then there is slight chance it might not happen/Texeira 'll sign and stay at Gronigen till the end of the season.

You know its a load of crap when you don't get "quotes" from their sources. It's all made up. Andy Carroll not moving, and we wouldn't touch that piece of sh!t Tevez. No loyalty at all.

29 Jan 2012 12:15:33
eds/macca,just wondering if theres actually any truth in these carroll/tevez swap rumours? i wouldnt want tevez for obvious reasons and i think andy carroll is starting to play much better and is definately working hard. i cant believe kenny would agree to spend that much on a raw young player and just give up on him after only 1 year (alot of the 1st 3rd was out injured) with out really playing much to his strengths aka his ariel threat. mind you he doesnt get much decent service,but thats a whole other debate. cheers guys keep up the ace mind numbing work u guys go threw,we all appreciate {Ed001's Note - it is nonsense.}

Cheers ed,good to hear that
bulford-widnes ozy

No club in their right mind will touch Tevez. Ask the simple questions , when would he be fit ? and also why invite trouble and disloyalty? See Mascherano for previous style and this guy Tevez is worse. Common denominator is Kia Joorabchian.
That should be enough to put any club off for ever. Leave Tevez with the Manc Mercenaries his rightful home I think !

The rumour is nonsense.fine.bt it has been reportd in sky,mirro,walkon.nearly every website

29 Jan 2012 12:07:15
what the hell is happening ed do you know anythig on these caroll situations i was expecting a third sriker but it seems we dont want our 2nd one anyways eds do you think caroll will be at the club on wednesday or no but would be happy for another world classs striker gotaha feeling its guna be cavani or someone of that calibre

sparky plese reply {Ed001's Note - it's nonsense.}

Strong rumours in Holland that deal agreed for David Teixeira - possibly to join us in the Summer rather than in Jan.

Heard anything Eds?

Giz

29 Jan 2012 11:36:34
Eds is the Carroll/Tevez swap deal have any truth in it, I really cant believe this deal can have any truth in it but coming from sky sports news does make the rumour a bit more creditable
Hopper1892 {Ed001's Note - no.}

Coming from SSN that makes it trash!

"coming from sky sports news does make the rumour a bit more creditable"

Roma, Fiorentina and Feyenoord interest in Kuyt, but the Reds have dismissed their interest.

Kuyt's agent Rob Jansen told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "There were quite a lot of clubs across Europe who are interested in Dirk, along with some Italian clubs.

"But Liverpool won't let him go."

@nbstw

29 Jan 2012 11:25:10
Was at the game yesterday afternoon, there was a lot of talk about the Carroll-Tevez swap deal in the stands before anything came out in the press over the last few hours or so. It was said that it was a tentative enquiry, no formal bid was lodged, just a brief discussion and proposal. However, I have also been told Liverpool do want to sign Tevez and will continue to monitor his situation, and may return with another enquiry during the latter stages of the transfer window. Liverpool will try and leave it as late as possible to try and force City's hand.

Jeff

Latter stages there's only two days and a deal involving tevez would take longer to negotiate than the time left to complicated city would make it difficult if we are even interested I was at the game i don't believe it was going round the stands as it was a bolt out the blue to think a deal involving these two would be considered

In one word "DRIVEL!"

Just because you were at the game and didn't hear it mentioned mate doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't spoken about. There are 4 stands in the stadium, don't believe me if you don't want to mate, I'm just passing on something I heard from a group of LFC fans in the Centenary stand yesterday. It hasn't exactly come out of the blue, this happened 3 days ago, it's only been reported today.
Personally, I'd hate him to sign. He's treated City appallingly and doesn't deserve to play for us. What makes people think he wouldn't go on strike of he was to sign? Complete was of money in my opinion. There are better and younger options out there. I don't think/hope anything will come of it, as you said, it is very complicated, but all I'm doing is repeating a story I heard yesterday.

Jeff

Before the news broke? It was on the gossip column all of yesterday. Also lol no exx mancs

Stop crying about your post u no it's bulls**t

A loan move for tevez until the end of the season makes perfect sense for all three partys, tevez gets to play and raise his profile, his price goes up creating a bidding war in summer, liverpool get a world class striker desperate to prove a point until the end of the season then we buy a replacement in summer when prices are lower, its a win,win,win situation for all concerned
jaydee

No there wasnt i was at the game

wafa

29 Jan 2012 11:01:11
Why would we want to swap Carroll for tevez, he looked really promising yesterday and set up our second goal! This will just unsettled him in my opinion

Joshlfc

And he hit the post

Or it's just the media doing their usual thing and try to un settle him?

It's just paper talk. Big Andy won't be leaving anytime soon.

Unsettling him may be the best thing to do. A "settled" Carroll has been complete gash so far.

Dont see Carroll moving from Liverpool, he's young and not on the Tevez type wages that Tevez would want - paper talk from the Man Utd supporting media. Kenny will stick by him the way Rafa did with Lucas and will concentrate on getting the sort of wingers kenny likes - remember, Ripley, Barnes, Duff......Kenny knows what he needs to get the best out of Carroll

We didn't and we wont.
Press trying to unsettle Andy & LFC the day after we knock Utd out of the cup? SHOCKER!
Don't let SAF's crap get you down

And was the reason for the 1st 1 too!

Perhaps that is what the english media is trying to do, unsettle him.

BooDaBooze

Totally agree with Josh. Let's give Carroll some time - he will settle in. Why oh why would we want Tevez anyway? Brilliant player but too much trouble. If things aren't going his way he spits his dummy out. This is the last thing that Liverpool need.

Man city would never make such a swap :D whats the point of having carrol in the team ? :D No way he will get a chance to play

Tevez thinks Manchester is a dump

29 Jan 2012 10:56:52
Eds is there a chance LFC could bid for tevez {Ed002's Note - I think it most unlikely.}

If it happens, will be the surprise of this window. God knows we do need a player of his ilk.

BooDaBooze

29 Jan 2012 10:55:26
Its out in the open now, liverpool don't want Andy C, and you could kind of see it in KD after match interview yesterday, when they asked him about him. I actually feel bad for Andy its not his fault someone payed 35 million for him, he's obviously under so much pressure that its really getting to him, i think we should send him out on loan and give the lad a chance.

I'm happy to keep him at Anfield for the duration of his contract - good luck to him .

No coincidence this carp comes out day after we beat man u.
The forces of darkness at play at the wim of the masters
You must know by now you cannot believe anything in the British junk press
To them carp is king

Sensible post, I think you are right. It seems unlikely anyone is going to cough up enough cash to trigger a move based on his performances so far. I would guess that Liverpool would be willing to take 20 mil for him and take the hit on the rest. Given his age and the dynmaic way he played for Newcastle there is no reason to consign the lad to the dustbin of history. The sensible thing to do is get him away from the spotlight, a loan deal somehwere, with a team that plays to his strenghts and would see the player re-establish his market value (which to be fair, was never 30+ million to be begin with). I feel sorry for the lad, yet I cant help noticing that he put in a good shift yesterday, I wonder if this is because he knows the club have been actively trying to sell him and he knows this is last chance saloon - or he is trying he impress potential suitors. Either way, he has not done enough, not nearly enough. Its all about saving face at this stage, both sides need a exit strategy. The shame is that sunderland are the ideal team for him, the need a striker, he is an ideal M. O Neill front man and they have money to spend....but his life wouldnt be worth living up in the north east.

And funny enough after the carling cup game wednesday kk got asked a question about bellamy coming from m.city an kk replied 'if they got any more players of that quality chuck them our way'.
skurks

Are you TOTALLY insane? By looking at KD's face you now KNOW we don't want Carroll!Incase you're still spaced out Liverpool have denied ever making this ridiculous swop offer.And as for a loan that makes you even more insane.He cost us £35 mill and it would leave us with just to forwards.Suarez and Kuyt.Thank God a numbskull like you has no influence on club policy.

It's made up

My opinion is that he is one of our players, the team is making progress and if he can help towards that then great........ The same as all the rest of our players!
Stop it, please. You're worse than the press!

The loan idea is silly. He either make it in the squad/team or he gets sold. A loan will do nothing for him.

BooDaBooze

Send a £35m player on loan after one year??

I can't believe people fall for the crap in the press

Andy struggles with the service he gets .
Downings cross for the header and the punt for the goal from Pepe isnt enough .
He worked damn hard yesterday the result was everything ,the bottom line for me is if we are going to stick with our investment we better get better players than we have to deliver balls to him.

It is not Carroll's fault if these idiots want to pay inflated price on acceptable wages to the owners. As hard as he tried to play to the best of his ability, he is just an average striker. Even Shane Long looks more promising. I blame the management for buying average players at inflated prices. If KK is the one who call the shots on acquaring new players, I don't think he is the right man to help the team to progress to top four and the title. We need the likes of Guardiola,Hiddink, and the special one to progress. The owners need to change their policy on the wage structure. If we continue to buy average players on inflated prices and hope they have resell value, we will always be at 4th or 5th at best. If we are going to match MC, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and MU, we need to match them with the wages and the success that comes with it. Sending Carroll out on loan and hope he improves is not going to help him if the whole team don't perform under thr guidance of KK. We just dont have the consistency as a team. We need a manager who can bring out the best of every player who plays in the team.

Balls played from behind arent what andy want get down the line whip crosses in for him to attack

And now an person wants to sack Kenny and bring in who? Rafa? Oh yeah!

Hi guys

With the reported interest from Bolton in Zaha and looking like they"re gonna make a bid, do you think we'll back up our interest and make a move. The kid looks like he's got a great future.

Fingers crossed we can bring in a RW and a striker!!

Mark from Selby

First of all don't believe everything you read in the press and secondly why would we loan out a 35 million stiker!

There are much better prospects than Zaha around for the RW position. The lad has no end product and still too raw-

I also think this rumoured swap deal (carrol for tevez) is very far fetched, but maybe Carroll for Ba not so? Carroll loved Newcastle and Ba is going to realise if he has not already that he is too good for newcastle and that he wants to move somewhere (maybe not LFC) where he can win meddles.

The thing that does seem strange though is that it is the Observer reporting and they may not be yourselves or Macca, but they are often on the right track.

Gareth

Ba failed a medical at Stoke before signing for Newcastle.......sorry, but I dont see the club swapping Carroll for Ba who would cost millions - Bellers was free, so his dodgy knees are worth taking agamble on

Ain't gonna ever happen mate!

Hasn't Ba's International team mate just signed for Newcastle with Ba stating he's really looking forward to the partnership?
Doesn't sound like he's going anywhere does it?

All on ssn that lfc offered Carroll for tevez swap deal to man city who turned it down outright. Not sure where this has started from as I thought that the club were backing Andy carroll.

Why would lfc want a player who clearly doesnt like playing in England and wants to be where his family will be happy? And who has an ego to match his talent? Sounds like its more like an attempt to unsettle Andy Carroll by unknown 'forces', as it looks like he's getting better by the game, and other teams are starting to notice too!

Biggy Balls

It is more likely agents not necessarily associated with LFC making enquiries. I very much doubt and actual bid was placed, and I very much doubt KK was behind or instigating any move.

RedSG

Oh yeah and SSN is always right and never lies.Watching "Sunday Supplement" this morning and the usual slimeball football correspondant said "Liverpool have players watched and then make suggestions to the manager so maybe an associate approached someone at City and asked if it could happen." does that sound like a solid offer from KD to you? Anfield have completely denied and rubbished this story!

According to sources , and skyspots understand, and uncomfirmed reports. Are three of the main words before most of their reports on transfers just lazy journalism scoured from other less than accurate sources.

29 Jan 2012 10:40:14
Not posted since the summer but had something concrete for once. We enquired about tevez on loan last week but it was dismissed. We didn't offer them Carroll in a straight swap. Could you imagine how the poor guy would feel? We would never get the best out of him after that. However I'm in good knowlege that we will bid for tevez in the region of 22-23 million.

However personal terms would be extremely difficult making the move nie-on impossible so I think we can put it to bed.

Excellent rumour though.

Jake. Ambitious Red.

There is no denying that Tevez is talented, but he brings with him a range of personal issues and baggage.

If we could never agree personal terms, why would we possibly bid ?

very strange statement

"Shy kids get no chocolate" If we don't try we will never know it's worth a punt.

Jake.

Why would we bid for someone who doesn't want to pay for us?

29 Jan 2012 10:39:36
Eds sky sports is running the Carroll-tevez swap as if it is gospel
Why would we need to swap one striker who can't score when he is fit for another who hasn't played for 3 months
Mad!

29 Jan 2012 10:30:43
Sky sports news running wit the failed attempt by liverpool to swap caroll for tevez! ! Unreal , could we see Caroll moved on and a big name striker in yet eds ??

29 Jan 2012 10:23:59
The Guardian reported that we have tried to do a straight swap carroll for tevez, is there any truth in this (i think he is improving everyweek). We need someone really fast to run onto andy's flick on's, who are we mostly to buy before deadline day

I
If its in " The Gaurdian "
it must be true then

29 Jan 2012 10:22:49
Sky sports reporting sources close to both clubs confirm Carroll was offered to city in swap deal for Tevez, however City not interested in him and Tevez not interested in joining LFC.

How can this be true? If we are interested in premium strikers then hopefully we will bid for either Lavezzi, Cavani, Llorente, Higuian, Doumbia or the kid from Brazil.

CRAP! I walk past Anfield most days so does this make me a source close to the club? It's been made up by some football writer who hasn't got a real story to put in print.

29 Jan 2012 10:14:12
Liverpool have offered a swap deal of Carroll for Tevez, I can't say I knew anything about it but it seems to be true.

Liverpool are looking at Marko Marin and Luuk de Jong in the summer, I am not saying we will get them but it looks like these are who we want.

And as the Eds have pointed out, Kuyt, Maxi and Johnson will probably leave and Aurelio will be taken off the wage bill as well.

I believe (if get our top targets) we will have great young squad capable of CL football. Keep the faith, they know what they are doing!

To.ba

Kit has been told he is staying. He is one of the senior members of the squad and his positive attitude and bubbly character helps the team

Sorry, I meant they will probably leave in the summer, not in this window.

To.ba

NO it isn't true just because some bugger invents a story and the club have totally denied any offer has been made!

Liverpool planning double transfer swoop on Bundesliga superstars

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is planning a double transfer-window swoop on the Bundesliga.

The Reds have lined up Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin and Borussia Dortmund striker Luca Barrios.

Anfield director of football Damien Comolli identified Marin “ German, but of Serbian descent “ more than a year ago and Liverpool are understood to have failed in a bid to sign the winger last summer.

Sky Sports understands Liverpool have failed with an audacious swap bid which would have seen them take Carlos Tevez from Manchester City in exchange for Andy Carroll. Manchester City are holding out for the full valuation of Carlos Tevex for £30 million

Tevex i thought it was tevez

29 Jan 2012 10:02:30
Hi ed, now we dont play city anymore this season is there any chance of us loaning tevez as he would not have to move away from the north west, also city may look at this and think it is a chance for us to take points off the teams chasing them for the title? {Ed002's Note - I have answered this on numerous occasions. Manchester City wish to sell the player.}

29 Jan 2012 09:57:36
Liverpool should bid £20million for Tevez on the last day as Man City are desperate to sell him as all his doing is costing them money now. Suarez and Tevez upfront Liverpool will score for fun.

His attitude is bad and this could affect the team's spirit. Further his high wages make it impractical to get him. This will have a spiralling effect on the players' wages. Football is about 11 players on the field and not just one or two prima donnas. Unless and until the owners change their policy on player's wages, don't dream on marque signings.

Still think this has good chance of happening 20 Million is nothing if we get Champions Lerague football ,could do with a couple of midfielders as well or maybe just Hazard who Im told was at the game yesterday

I don't think citeh are paying him at all. Just fining him wages for not turning up. I read somewhere that he has missed over £9m in wages since his strop!
Not like citeh are short of a few £m either!
Don't want that a**ehole at Liverpool anyway.

YS {Ed002's Note - They are not paying bonuses etc. but the wages are being put in to a separate account to ensure that if there is an acceptable offer there can be no legal wrangles that could delay a move.}

Tevez and Suarez are too similar.

Sure are sneaky little feckers that score GOALS ,that win games that wins cups that wins Leagues if fact WINNERS

29 Jan 2012 09:57:15
a loan of tevez may be happen as we have no more match vs City. so in a way City help them self by loaning Tevez to us. we use him to beat man utd Chelsea and Tottenham it will help city to win EPL.

Defo like ur way of thinkin mate.worth a silly punt,y nt.jonny m

Hey eds just thought id break up the onslaught of andy for tevez posts do you know if liverpool have an interest in the young ivory coast striker who plays his football in russia. l.traore i rate him highly n hes still only early 20s mayb 21_22yrs so would fit in with the clubs policy cheers. CRAIG {Ed002's Note - There was an enquiry from Newcastle about Doumbia and it is likely if there is another English team who have actually enquired it will be Arsenal. No doubt other clubs have had scouts at games but that is some way from making any serious enquiries for the player. Doumbia does a good job of talking himself up and CSKA will likely want £25M or so for the player. Getting through to the last 16 of the Champions League makes a January move less likely.}

Is the OP referring to Lacina Traore? If he is the player in question, we've looked at him when Hodgson was with us. Work permit issues will make his transfer to us very unlikely.
Very good striker, though. Quick, very tall, lightning quick and robust young player. I doubt he was even called up for the ACON.

BooDaBooze

Thats nice ed002 but my question was about lisana traore lol. CRAIG

Sorry ed02 i think he was talking about Lacina Traore rather than Doumbia... {Ed002's Note - OK. It is hard to see him easily getting a work permit as someone mentioned.}

Scored some nice goals for Cluj in the Champions League - He'd be perfect backup for Carroll - but we missed the bus there.

Here's a story I read about him a year ago or so - A football fairytale, you might enjoy it (written before he went to Russia)
----------------------------------------------
Cluj president Iuliu Muresan, on a scouting mission to Abidjan in 2007, spotted a then 17 year-old Traore playing on the street.

The striker had already made his senior debut for local outfit Stade d'Abidjan and upon seeing this gangly teenager in action, Muresan made it a mission to take the teen back with him to Romania.

"There were some conditions there I could not believe!" recalled Muresan. "Deplorable! You would not find anything in our lower divisions like it.

"However, I noticed this lad Lacina Traore. There was no way you could ignore him given his height. I liked how he controlled the ball and immediately decided to bring him to Romania.

"I was happy he was only 17 years of age and knew this for sure, because Ivory Coast has a very good method of birth registration, unlike other African countries.

"I knew the area I had visited had great football potential. Plus he did not cost us anything, he was not contracted to any club. He was playing football on the street!"

Since then, Murasen has done everything he can to protect Traore.

The club president beams with pride whenever discussing his protege's progress from street footballer to Champions League goalscorer.

And despite criticism from local media, Murasen has done all he can to protect Traore's development.

Indeed, the story goes that Murasen has instructed his board several times over the last two years to pay the fines Traore would be slapped with by former coaches Andrea Mandorlini and Toni.

That's not to say Traore isn't admired by the technical staff. Mandorlini can't stop enthusing about the youngster, who he believes deserves to be playing for "a club like Arsenal or Manchester United".

"He has great qualities, is six feet tall, but is as fast as a gazelle," says the Italian, who left Cluj last year.

"Technically he has great all round ability. He's very young, but at his age it is hard to find players with all these qualities."

Accusations of being too individualistic have haunted Traore this season, while his on-field discipline has also been questioned.

But Murasen is no mug and if Hughes is having doubts, he only needs to listen to the Cluj supremo about Traore's devotion to his huge family at home in Ivory Coast to be assured of the player's temperament.

"He comes from a large family," says Murasen. "He has 17 brothers and they lived in poverty. They are muslims, and his father has four wives! He is the 18th child.

"For Lacina, this was a golden opportunity that only Romania could give him. Every month, he sends money home to help his brothers.

"As soon as he arrived here, he knew he had to knuckle down and give everything to football."

From the dusty streets of Abidjan to potentially the pinnacle of the Premier League - Traore's story is a true football fairytale.

Some scouting eh! They got E4m for him in the end!

29 Jan 2012 09:29:55
Hi (Ed02) This is not a moan, just an opinion. It really is looking less likely now that any one will be signed.
Do you still think anything will happen?

it's never over till it's over! {Ed002's Note - Think back to this time a year ago.}

29 Jan 2012 09:27:38
hey eds. any of use have any idea if man city really are chasing arjen robben? and if so and they were successful with a bid would that finaly open the door for a move for adam johnson to lfc?

Is Johnson any better than Downing? {Ed002's Note - Robben will almost certainly stay at Bayern.}

29 Jan 2012 09:26:23
I can't believe we tried to swap Caroll for Tevez. For starters Tevez is a despicable individual and a mercenary who will want away within six months of signing and surely this will destroy any tiny glimmer of confidence that Andy has. I can't believe this if its true. The Guardian are usually a reputable newspaper and it does seem a credible story..

I personally hope Tevez ends up bitter for not using the god given talent he has when he had the chance.

KENNY - DO NOT SIGN TEVEZ !!

Gazman

Tevez is trouble. Andy is showing signs of improvement - let's give him a chance.

29 Jan 2012 09:19:29
Hello Ed002,
Hearing those silly rumours about Carroll-Tevez swap I just can't believe it. On the one hand, Liverpool need one more striker. They can't give away one for another. On the other hand, no way City would go for Andy. What's more, I think Andy played very well in the last game or two and maybe he'll come good. Another point is that he is tall, the only striker who can challange in the box for a header. And he is still only 22! I'm sure Tevez would like to leave, just as City would like to get rid of him. But it's very unlikely to me he will become a RED. But I would rather go for Tevez than for Cavanni or Higuain or Podolski or De Jong. Have a good last three days of the window Eds. And let's hope Liverpool will do some good bussiness that will pay off.

29 Jan 2012 09:09:21
Whether this rumours true about tevez an Carroll I doubt it Liverpool would have to be stupid to pay 200k a week for him in wages while we all know carroll is struggling with our style of play can't see Kenny giving up on him this transfer window

29 Jan 2012 08:54:37
Hi everyone

It was on sky sports today that sources close to liverpool have said they have made an offer for tevez by swapping Carroll for tevez. However tevez wouldn't want to join Liverpool and Carroll wouldn't want to join man city.

Happy MaN

Seeing as silly season is in full swing with all this nonsense of swap deals ,thought i might try my hand ,anyone fancy swopping my missus (got a look of the old carlos tevez in her) for a younger less troublesome model ,was thinking of something along the lines of a cheryl cole without the geordie twang,will make sure she removes her beard before any deal is completed

29 Jan 2012 08:52:25
Ex is there any chance for a loan move for tevez? It would make alot of scence to sign him he could get us top 4 and he has alot to prove his going no where on the bench at city!
And wouldnt city like this scenario as we will not play them again this season and we play all the teams that are challenging the title
I know his wages are massive but the owners do have money and im sure they would pay his wages for 4 months as we would be garrented top 4 then go for someone asgood in the summer {Ed002's Note - Manchester City wish to sell Tevez. In the unlikely event he goes on loan, Corinthians would, i would guess, be most likely.}

Been suggesting that idea for months,Tevez goes in the shop window,gets us fourth place and paves the way for his move to Italy in the summer.

Actually it doesn't make any "scence" whatsoever and why would signing a notorious trouble maker like Tevez give us "garrennted" top 4 finish?

29 Jan 2012 08:49:36
I have a really good feeling that liverpool are trying to put a deal together for carlos tevez. It will certainly go down to the last day and i personally think tevez would love to embrace the spirit here at liverpool. Fingers crossed. Also the guardian dont talk rubbish there is definitely something to this.

Hanwell

He'd be likely to embrace his wages for a few weeks and then hop on a plane back home and get on the golf course.I'm disgusted with so call Reds fans who apparently would sign Jack the Ripper if he could score a goal or two!

Embrace the spirit of liverpool? like he did when he turned down joining us to join city in the first place?

29 Jan 2012 08:41:09
Apparently the swap offer did happen..good old sky sports news just had David Craig on the phone and they asked him whether it was true as it seemed audacious, he confirmed it was true but city turned it down, stating they would only sell for market value AND Carlos Tevez would turn us down as he isn't interested in a move to Anfield...just passing on the info, so that one can be put to bed

Cheers

Ray

Oh. i must've missed the part where he confirmed it came from the club cos i could've sworn he said 'our sources tell us....' - how gullible are some fo you people?

29 Jan 2012 08:40:07
According to SSN, Liverpool are interested in Marko Marin and Lucas Barrios. Would be top strikers if you ask me.

Marin isn't a striket

29 Jan 2012 08:39:24
Eds, please tell me that City rejecting a swap with Carlos Tevez for Andy Carroll is absolute nonsense? I wouldn't sell Andy for Tevez any day, even if he would score more goals. Andy proved yesterday he can play and has potential and I'll continue to support him.

Just tell me the story is total garbage.

RenegadeRed {Ed002's Note - It is indeed far fetched.}

I agree,carroll played his socks off yesterday,become a real team player for me,didnt score but got the assist for Kuyt,keep playin like that son,you'll be ok :)

29 Jan 2012 08:33:22
Post this on many occasions and it is still true - LFC have been looking at two players only to sign this January, being Defoe and Dempsey.
Spurs have priced Defoe out of a move, we were only willing to pay £10m, they want £20m! So, that leaves Dempsey.
KK and, more importantly, the owners, see him as an ideal squad player, who can play midfield or, if required, up front - He has a good goalscoring record and premiership experience - The owners also love the USA 'link' and, whilst he is not a massive favourite with the US supporters, he will sell shirts and increase our profile.
An offer of £12m is on the table - expect to see Fulham make a signing soon and, once he is in, Dempsey is ours!
Personally, think he will be a good (not great) sigining, with more to come in the summer but the 'quality' will depend on CL qualification

Neither of these are good enough for Liverpool. I'd rather we bought nobody rather than either of these!

Oh Christ not the "we need a 30 year old moderate but over priced player because he's a Yank" idea again.It won't be happenening so get used to that thought!

29 Jan 2012 08:24:26
i think its time all us reds took a deep breath after the ridculous transfer stories that are coming out. i mean honestly carrol to swap with ba or tevez for carrol these are not even worth writing about let alone asking what the ed's think. there is a couple of days to go until the end of the transfer period lets all think logically bellamy's on fire ,kuyt will be in high spirits after yesterday and suarez(legend) will be back after the wolves game. im going bet my dinner on that we dont sign anyone of significance before tuesday night. would be nice ofcourse but Liverpool are getting in good shape now so were see. ynwa. van shepherd

29 Jan 2012 08:12:15
Liverpool will siign marko marin for a sum worth more than 12 mllion and will out of favour dortmund sriker on loan.

"And will out of favour dortmund striker on loan." If I knew what that meant I could agree or disagree!

29 Jan 2012 08:12:04
Apparently we are interested in barrios and marin.. any truth eds? {Ed002's Note - Both are plausible. It is certainly not totally out of the question that Barrios could be available and Liverpool could bid. Arsenal, Wolfsburg, Espanyol and Sevilla are known to be interested. He has struggled to get back in the starting line-up after injury and does not seem happy with sitting on the bench. But I would expect Dortmund to be looking for a replacement striker as they already know that there is interest in Lewandowski and whilst they have their target set as Welliton I am not so sure they would let both players leave. I also think if he gets a run of games he will stop bleating and stay.

AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Napoli, Juventus and Roma have all shown an interest in Marko Marin in the past and I hear that Arsenal are interested at the moment. Much will depend on whether or not Liverpool make the Champions League as to whether he is a viable option or not; and the summer is a considerable distance away at present but probably the most likely time for a move. Perhaps Italy is the most likely destination, and I understand his preferred destination.

29 Jan 2012 07:50:07
Morning everyone,

People are saying Tevez to Liverpool will never happen but think about it? It could be an amazing bit of business for Mancini and Man City and may well help City win the title! City will not be playing Liverpool in any competition for the rest of the season whilst Liverpool are still to play Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea, we are 19 points behind City so no real threat to them but the others are a lot closer.

If we can take points off of them then that will help City's cause plus there's the player, if he has a blinder for the rest of the season then that would surely help come the summer when City are trying to offload him, its a win win situation for Mancini and City. One last thing, can anyone remember what Kenny said after the City game? If City want to offload any players then we would be happy to oblige...a bit of tongue and cheek from the King? Maybe a wee hint there?

What do you think Eds?

Tobey

Tobey I like your way if thinking, Interesting.
Let's hope your right.

I like the idea of a loan till the summer if City pick up half the salary. It reduces their costs and helps us take points off their challengers and maybe claw us back to CL place.

29 jan 2012 07:39:52
out to dinner last night and ex player said we have spent big and still trying for more.

esteban granero...5 month loan
joao texeira.........£700,000
david texeira........£7million may rise to £10
mauricio isla........£12 million

all these are done deals but the club is still in talks with wilfred zaha £7million and nathan redmond £8.5 million over moves.
and the big one for us darren bent and andy carroll will swap clubs on deadline day

If they were done deals, the club would have announced them!

Wake up and smell the coffee.

If they are done deals when is the club going to announce them? Bent for Carroll is garbage and why do you fools always say that non existant deals will take place on the last day of the window?

29 Jan 2012 07:13:46
Personally i would be very happy if we could get Marko Marin and Lucas Barrios, especially if the reported articles are true. I can see Suarez and Barrios as a very exciting partnership.
If we were able to get Barrios on a loan to buy, i think it's a win win situation.
Well Marko Martin would be awesome on the right hand side. If those two came off our midfield and strikeforce would be right up there, especially when everyones fit.
LUCAS
GERRARD
DOWNING
MARIN
SUAREZ
BARRIOS = Pretty good attacking threat in my opinion.

29 Jan 2012 06:14:40
If Mourinho Leaves RM it is possible Benitez goes there. Poss Xabi Alonso return?

If we can give KK the chance to return why not Benitez? If not then get Mourinho. KK is past his best.

29 Jan 2012 04:45:22
Do you think we could make much use now of Danny pacheco? Would we not think about loaning Carroll back to Newcastle to gain confidence? Cocko {Ed002's Note - Pacheco will not return - bridges have been burned. I doubt Liverpool would be willing to loan out Carroll without a replacement.}

Just an enquiry ed, what exactly happened with pacheco to say he could not come back,never really thought to much of him myself just wondering what went on {Ed002's Note - It should all be in the archives.}

29 Jan 2012 03:49:48
Just heard from my brother in Madrid that Liverpool have enquired about Cristian Tello. Apparently he is a left winger who is very quick, very technically gifted and works hard.

The biggest problem is that Barcelona want to include a buy-back clause for 2 years time - which effectively means a glorified loan. Understandably KK and DC aren't keen on this arrangement.

This is as much as I have been told and just passing it on. Has anyone seen this kid play? Is he a viable option in this window? Cheers.

Pepe's barber

Maybe its my ignorance but how did u wrangle barcelona,real madrid and liverpool in the one stew?

Just watch on youtube, a good winger with skills and pace, can play with both feet

Yeah mate i've seen a little bit of him. A bit like pedro I reckon. Would be a good young signing in my eyes.

eds, sorry about posting again, but do you anticipate activity on deadline day? because that seems most likely?
Australian Red {Ed002's Note - It is impossible to say when all of the anticipated transfers will finally go down. Sunday? Monday? Tuesday? Who knows.}

eds is there even the smallest hint of truth to the swap deal between carroll and tevez personally cant see any truth in it at all tevez is a fantastic striker but really poor attitude and he's nearly 28 i was just wondering if ud heard any thing about liverpool possibley wanting to off load carroll cant see why we would but maybe theres more going on behind closed doors than we know involving carroll {Ed002's Note - See previous replies.}

Well could be some truth in it as the odds on Tevez joining Liverpool have been slashed from 50/1 last night to 7/1 this morning but very much doubt it, wud b good tho(wishful thinking.

Hi eds the guardian is running a story tomorrow saying Carroll was offered in exchange. Any truth to it? Seems odd to me

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - I don't know anything of the matter at all. Seems rather far fetched to me.}

Seems far fetched to me also but the guardian is a fairly respectable paper isn't it?

Rewflo

The Guardian is certainly respectable, doesn't mean a source hasn't been spinning them a line.

Lol carroll for tevez.

This sounds even worse than the cavani and aguero rumours.
Indian Buzzer

Carroll for for who?

BooDaBooze {Ed002's Note - Tevez.}

Big Rumers coming in tonight... Liverpool have deffinatly enquired about Cavani, thought to be around 25mil..
B.C

I wish the Eds would just delete every post that mentions Cavani! BTW who is "Big Rumer" ? Who does he play for and in what position.If he's coming in tonight then what are we paying for him?

He would cost a lot more than that.

I know that this is old news, but The Guardian are reporting that LFC have been rejected by Man City in a Carroll for Tevez swap. The Guardian is not quoting another publication, so it would appear that they have checked the facts independently.

While "sources" in football publications are often dubious. IMO, The Guardian and BBC tend not to report mindless speculation. Could be an interesting end to the transfer window. Especially if Carroll becomes unsettled - looked like he was starting for find some form again today.

Bs and you know it! mug

The guardian journo has previously gone on record to say he is a neutral until it comes to Liverpool. Daniel Taylor he is an utter tool. Do you honestly think 1.Tevez would take over a 60% pay cut? He's on £250k a week.
2.do you realistically think NESV would pay a salery DOUBLE the amount of the club captain and living legend?
3.Why would Tevez want too move to Liverpool?

Just use a little bit of logic and understand that no matter how reputable a news paper is ment to be there is always a will to sell papers over delivering good news, Daniel Taylor is a nugget with an agenda and has admitted it in the past.

Kenny's words on big Andy after the game today should tell you all you need to know

Tevez is on 200 grand a week, mate, so quit inflating his wages. I am sure The player won't mind taking 50% cut to play football again. Not that i believe the rumours, though.

BooDaBooze

Boys boys. I never said Tevez was going to sign for LFC. I simply reported what The Guardian said. My interest was more in what is going to happen with Carroll - which is uncertain.

hi eds, any truth in liverpool signing david obua from hearts before the window shuts? {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. Seems rather unlikey.}

The mirror and mirror football are quite possibly the worst people for transfers possible, and it takes a lot to beat cuaghtoffside!
The amount of sheer carp and untrue stories is phenomenal, I mean Carroll for tevez, ba for Carroll and even using "exclusive" to say shelvey may want to go on loan again, and that is just tonight!
The media Is doing my head in, this is the only site I go on where people know what is going on and complete bull is not used to get people to buy the gutter press
Cheers eds great site
Bean

Guardian is quite reliable & that's saying the we wanted to swap Carroll for Tevez story too but bid was rejected

It no coincidence we beat man u just before this carp came out
Pansy press who do not know what truth is again
Carp is King in their twisted world

Hi Ed, strong rumours that Carroll is being used in a swap deal for someone! Not aure yet but i heard a deal was rejected carroll for tevez: bbc website and also hearing maybe used in a swap deal for demba ba, thoughts? {Ed002's Note - I am aware of the "rumours" but don't know if anything will happen before the window closes.}

Would be extremely disappointed if Carroll left! Showed today when we play to his strengths what an asset he is. Touch, control and link up play against united was a lot better. Give him more time on the field, he will turn into a lfc fan favourite
John h

Carroll had a good game to-day for sure.The big man need's time&our backing.He came from a club who has a different style to us&also came with a big price(Now that has to play on his mind)The lad WILL come good so let's relax&give him all the backing he need's....YNWA!!

According to Tevez agent, he didn't say that he wanted to leave England it was that he didn't get on with Mancini so maybe open to staying in England we should try and get him on loan.
Spurs do it and get the benefit so we should have a go
Finisher

Yeah let's get Tevez so he can have a snit and walk out on us too.He doesn't get on with ANY manager and Kenny would be no different as Tevez flew back to South America again!

Now hearing that we are looking at Lucas Barrios at the last minute of the transfer window. Wouldn't be a bad signing. {Ed002's Note - It is not totally out of the question that Barrios could be available and Liverpool could bid. Arsenal, Wolfsburg, Espanyol and Sevilla are known to be interested. He has struggled to get back in the starting line-up after injury and does not seem happy with sitting on the bench. But I would expect Dortmund to be looking for a replacement striker as they already know that there is interest in Lewandowski and whilst they have their target set as Welliton I am not so sure they would let both players leave. I also think if he gets a run of games he will stop bleating and stay.}

29 Jan 2012 00:08:34
Any likelyhood on Klaas Jan Huntelaar coming to LFC in January transfer window EDS ? {Ed001's Note - not really, why would he? It has taken him years to settle in Germany and he is having a good season, why move ahead of the Euros?}

29 Jan 2012 00:07:28
Hi eds, any truth in the People saying Liverpool are trying to sign Marko Marin & Luca Barrios before the end of the window? {Ed001's Note - I honestly have no idea mate, sorry.}

Would love to see Marin come in. Certainly wiuldn't bother me if true!

Marin and Barrios would be great signings. Inject fresh enthusiasm and give us an extra spark with some long needed quality wide and upfront.

Have liverpool looked at Billy Jones from WBA, has always looked a top prospect?

cheers eds {Ed001's Note - he was looked at years ago while still at Crewe and we had a deal with them to get first dibs on their players etc. He was deemed not good enough though.}

28 Jan 2012 23:49:06
hey eds. any of use have any idea if man city really are chasing arjen robben? and if so and they were successful with a bid would that finaly open the door for a move for adam johnson to lfc? cheers. CRAIG {Ed001's Note - I don't know of any move by City for Robben, Di Maria was always the one Mancini wanted as far as I know.}

Cheers for the reply do you think with ther recent issues with jose makes citys move for di maria more likely to come off because as far as i was aware jose was a big fan n wudnt let him go not 100% sure on that tho. but if that was the case citys hopes must be boosted now and hopefully lfc's for a.johnson. cheers CRAIG {Ed002's Note - I can't see it would make much difference to the matter. Cheslea spoke with RM about AdM in Los Angeles over the summer and it was made clear then that he was not for sale. Real Madrid's priority for the summer is still Cavani, and they will need to sell before buying.}

So would that mean that granero is still a possibility for us? and ed002 is chelsea planning on stealing any of our players on tuesday.lol. CRAIG {Ed002's Note - Granero will almost certainly avail;able in the summer. Unless something has happened in the apst few days, Liverpool have not approached RM over the player.}

Hi guys

Just seen on the guardian sport page that liverpool tried to agree a straight swap with city - carroll for tevez. Article was posted around 11.

Where the hell did has come from. Do u know if this is true?

Unless you are trying to troll, what does your own common sense tell you? Do you really think this would be true? FFS people stop posting crap like this. {Ed016's Note - Man united fans too depressed to go outside today}

Well what do you think..Dear oh dear

Kenny will stick by andy no way will he want 2 let him go , it would be a big loss money wise so kenny will wan him 2 prove himself and kenny himself by signin him we defo need a forward and a gd right winger. kuyt scored but isny up 2 want the mighty pool need and am sorry 2 say that as he has been awesome for us last few seasons

Its all over the net and the papers ,there is no smoke without fire something is going on.
Eds any info yet?
Eam {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

I was laughing when I saw it on the mirror's website but when it appeared on the guardian's I was shocked, usually very reliable. Like someone posted above, there is no smoke without fire. Unfortunately for Andy looks like we are ultimately looking to offload him.
Gooch

Ever heard the expression "Never let the truth stand in the way of a good story"? People seem to think the Guardian is a font of all knowledge and goodness but it's just another paper trying to up its circulation!

And why would ManCity swap Tevez for Carroll? Does that make any sense when they have the likes of Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli who are far better players than Andy?
They may be desperate to get rid of Tevez but not that desperate. Stupid rumour.

BooDaBooze

I'm getin nerves I don't no Wots goin to happin no 1 dose but kk and dc but I no this for nothing there will be a good player comein in after this week results
