Ed's do you see any of our loaned out players making a significant part of our squad next season? Reina will leave as we know but do Assadi or Suso have a future with us?

{Ed002's Note - Assaidi may move on unless Liverpool can give assurances about game time. Suso is a player the club will want back but he will attract interest from Spain - and again will want assurances I doubt the club will give.}

Suso is our star for the future, exciting prospect.

I think Borini deserves a shot next year as well. Doing very good at Sunderland

Suso will be back, Borini might be back if a striker isn't bought in the summer and Wisdom will probably be back. Reina will most likely be sold or go out on loan again (wages) or stay to keep Mignolet on his toes (only if we make CL), Ilori might go out on loan again but that will depend on what happens to Coates, Agger and Skrtel. Adorjan I think will move to FC Groningen permanently, Robinson might be sold if not will probably be loaned out again. Assaidi will probably look to get game time somewhere else and LFC won't stand in his way.

With any luck we'll close that off and he'll see that the spuds are a sinking ship that go through players like a dose of salts.

Konoplyanka's agent James Lippett studied at Liverpool University.so at least he can give the player an idea of the City and it's people.
Really hope we get this lad. could be another January Gem, like Suarez and Sturridge.

Ssn also reported that PSG are interested so if them and Spurs get into bidding against us I'd forget it. The guestimate price for Kono is supposed to be £13 to £15 million and with 3 clubs involved it would soon rise past that. No doubt we'll be either offering £8 million or suggesting a loan with an option to buy deal. I'm not being pessimistic just realistic about the way our transfer dealings have gone recently.

Just read reports saying the inler & agger swap deal is very much on and is in an advanced stage.
Do u have anything on this?
And if it is true, surely agger is worth a lot more than inler so would there be some cash involved?

I think it would really benefit our club if we could make this deal happen as I think Brendan prefers Sakho (to be fair, I like Sakho a lot, too) to Agger and he don't like to play with two let footed CBs. But if Agger leaves I will cry so much, I just love this guy, I really do, so I don't know what I want. Whatever happens I will be a little bit dissapointed and happy at the same time :)

It would be harsh to try to drive Agger out of town. He has given his all to the club with great ability and passion. Of course, I know that it would be purely business, but this guy is a great presence in the locker room, a role model and our vice captain. Forgive me for not checking statistics before posting, but haven't we conceded far less goals in matches where Agger has played?

Can't b doing a last minute panic deal with dagger. If he was to be available we could get a better price than some rubbish swap deal! My view is Dagger to stay as he experienced and sakho still needs to develop. If we got the money we should add to the squad as it's already limited. Defence is thread bare at the moment!

I can't believe that so many Red fans would like Dagger's departure. He've been great for us. He has class and despite this year's lackluster perfomances, he's one of our best players; Even if he maintains in bech, he will be very important when we return to CL, and RB will have to rotate the team. No way should he go. He's class. Why not have two left sided centre halfs and two right center halfs? Seems logical. We need top players who are passionate about the club.

What made fergie such a great manager was that he knew when to cut ties/losses and sell players on( see beckham veron, forlan, nistelrooy, butt etc.)

Agger has played 166 games out of a possible 342 for Liverpool, that's less than half.He's a good player but we need a consistent defensive partnership that his injuries will never provide, these injuries are only going to get worse in the future and he will de value. We should sell him while we still can get a pretty penny to boost the squad.
Toure, sakho, skrtel, kelly is more than enough centrebacks, we have wisdom, illori on loan and sama in the academy.

It wouldn't be right to just push him out of the club like that. A loan swap for Inler sounds perfect though since Dagger seems to be out of favour at the moment. Inler seems like the perfect player to secure us a place in Europe this season and; since Agger seems to be surplus this season, that would be the best option. I think Brendan is just trying to get Sakho some good experience in the PL by playing him alongside Toure, so that he'll be more solid in the future where he'll probably become one of our main defenders. It all depends if Brendan has something in mind for Danny later this season and whether Rafa would want him on loan. Danny is one I think should stay at the club for the rest of his career personally though.

Sadly playing for Blackpool under, until recently, Paul Ince means nobody in their side is impressing. Off the top of my head I think they've taken 2 points from their last possible 33. At least Andre Wisdom is playing in a decent side in Derby County and playing well by all accounts.

hi ed's, what's the situation with Alvaro Morata? it looks like Anchelotti doesn't rate him. Also has anyone showed interest in Kiko Casillas? a GK from Espanyol, not for us, I like Migs, but he seems pretty good. Also have we showed an interest for Matuidi? cheers

If Dave Fallows has gone to the Ukraine, to speak to Konoplyanka, have we agreed a fee with his club or would we need to do that aswell as personal terms?

Fallows is travelling to speak directly with the player, which means a fee has been agreed.

If Fallows has gone to the Ukraine (i would normally have expected Ayre) does that mean that Ayre is elsewhere in europe trying to set up something else?
(More than likely a classic 2+2 = 5 but I can live in hope!)

Actually I hear that Fallows is in Portugal, notvthe Ukraine. However I think it's a holiday.

checked tv no word just that Liverpool have bid 15m for him they r usually first to let us no someone else has 1 of r targets.

Bleacherreports.com are saying we've made a bid for him.
Don't know how reliable this site is though, only discovered it at the start of Jan.

Konoplyanka is 3 times better then Salah. Great player indeed. I hoped we sign him year ago. U will see what a player he is.

Reports gathering pace that we are trying to sign Konoplyanka. I personally like this guy. Had great games vs England in both legs. Have you heard anything about this deal?

I expected to see PSG, Benfica and Arsenal make a bid in January, and possibly Fiorentina, Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United, Schalke and Dortmund to look to the player. Right now it is Liverpool and PSG who are showing interest.}

Surely it is too late to be "showing interest"- less than 48 hours to go

By far the most talented of all the players we have been linked with. Seems like there is some substance to it as being reported by sources rather than our favourite twitte ITKs.
Just get on and sign him, no messing about. If he chooses PSG over us, fine but if Dnipro want 15 pay 15.

This would be good, if negotiations have started by Ayre then hopefully they will have been completed by August.

Agree with Red Rich, but then I noticed we are not the only team looking. So I guess our bid of £5mil less then true value, Ayre won’t even get to draw out negotiations till August, cause PSG will pay the true value.

Ed02, I noticed on here that you mentioned on here Newcastle were interested in Grenier(spelling?). After watching Lyon play on a few occasions he and lacazette have impressed me. Have any other teams showed interest in these players and would they be players that would interest Liverpool?

Hi eds,

Have we been looking at jack cork at all? Watched him against arsenal earlier and he looked absolutely quality, really solid midfielder sat just Infront of the back 4. I'm guessing he would be ridiculously expensive and not available?

I know Rodgers likes him and keeps tags on his progress, and there was an enquiry while he was out of the team. Since then he has been playing, so I doubt they would sell him.}
