Where will Reina go after his loan as he will probably not stay, I would like to see him happy so I hope that napoli isn't permanent, he won't want to stay there but I don't think he will go to bara they prob won't want him {Ed002's Note - Atletico is a viable option.}

Haven't athletico just bought courtois?

Agree0 Disagree0

Courtois is on loan for one more final(3rd) season. I've been saying this a while now and you can check my post history, that Reina will be at Atletico for 2014/15 where he will see out his career.

Courtois will either be back at Chelsea or transferred to Barcelona. I'd assume he and ter Stegen will be Barcelona's priority targets. {Ed023's Note - You're just repeating what Ed002 has been saying for as long as I can remember}

If they had bought him, you wouldn't think Ed02 would says it's a viable option, would you? Courtios has been loaned to Athletico, for this, his third season.

Fact! REINA wanted to leave, when hicks and gillette where still here

Has there been interest in martins indi? Would he not b a cheaper option to papadopoulos! Also what's latest on eriksen? Finally eds are we looking at a defensive/central midfielder? Allen is not good enough in my opinion! He looks nervous and is so sloppy in possession and that's against Thailand and a Malaysian 11! U know it! {Ed002's Note - Feyenoord's Bruno Martins Indi is subject to interest from Milan, Dynamo Kyiv, Napoli and Spurs. There is nothing new on Eriksen.}

Believable11 Unbelievable7

You must be watching a different Allen to me mate. The one playing for Liverpool looks like his getting back to his best.

Agree6 Disagree0

I must b! because I counted about 10 different occasions against Thailand where he had possession dwelled to long and gave ball away! Do that in premier league and u get punished! I hope I'm proven wrong tho!

Agree0 Disagree1

Christian Eriksen won't be moving to Liverpool.

Ed is there interest in Mangala from Porto? Think he'll have a high price tag, so maybe we're put of by that. {Ed002's Note - Not from LFC.}

I heard a rumour that Liverpool will buy Papadopolous from Schalke now that he has proved his fitness. BR wants to give the young defenders a chance so it will be Skrtel and Coates out with Papa in. I think him and Agger could be the best partnership in the world.

Regardless of Suarez leaving there will be one marquee attacker with Assaidi moving and maybe Downing. If Suarez leaves expect 3 attacking players with even Borini making way if the opportunity arises. He is highly rated in Italy. I don't think he will be suited to the high tempo game of England.

In addition expect cheap short term LB cover and DM to be addressed in January or next summer.

In not in the know but I have someone who gets most things right.

Rodgers out after what he did with Reina and what he's doing to our club.

Agree2 Disagree29

Rodgers out? are you a clown, he's re-building our squad from top to bottom and doing a good job at it. Our best player is an £8mil signing who would now be worth minimum £20, all great tems start somewhere and in my opinion brendan is giving us and unbelievable platform to strive from, so take your rubbishty bitter comments somewhere else.

Agree26 Disagree0

Rodgers out? He was looking after OUR club. If his keeper has indicated he may be moving on to Barca, he HAS to make sure we have a decent keeper lined up so we are not left short. Reina's problem was he put his cards on the table (which I respect) but was ultimately his downfall. Reina is a top keeper, and a top bloke, but Rodgers couldn't simply wait to see if he's moving on before he looked elsewhere. I wish Pepe all the best but i'm behind Rodgers 100%.

Mar5hy

Agree17 Disagree0

I have to shake my head when people post negative about the club or manager and say they are fans. The great Liverpool teams in the past were not built with superstars but average players who become world class through hunger and determination to wear the liver bird on their chest. Check the history and see we have always bought players few people know about and they became house hold names with Liverpool. Rodgers is following that blue print to a hilt, you can't put new paint on old boards not eventually the paint will flake and come off. The manager is fixing the root of the problems so the club can go forward such as getting rid of what we all say the ' dead wood', which have eased the clubs wage bill and put us in a better position financially. We must admit the man is a very good accountant.(lol) The club is in a better position financially and we are rewarding players based on the work they do not groom prima donnas. So be positive towards the club because it will rise again. Greatness never fades though it may covered in ashes, eventually the wind will blow the ashes away and that greatness will shine again. Liverpool will rise and become even greater than it was before. We will never walk alone.

Agree11 Disagree0

I do trust Rodgers. The Reina case has 2 sides. we have only "heard" reinas bitter version. Rodgers one have been diplomatic. Remember that Reina wanted to be approached by Barca. Then Rodgers had to find new goalie. I expect Vorm still to be a target. What is eds thought about that and tuis case? {Ed001's Note - we bought Mignolet, why would we target Vorm??}

Agree5 Disagree3

I think both parties have to be respected here. Reina had the decency to inform the club that if Barca came in he would be interested, we went out and found someone who could be our new #1 if this happened. Mar5hy is right, Rogers was protecting us, and I admire Reina for going about his business until the transfer was completed. The letter proves how much he loved Liverpool.

Well said!
You only want Rodgers out because he's Irish! he is the best thing that's happened to the club since 2007

Agree1 Disagree0

To have 2 competetive keepers.

Agree1 Disagree0

Reina's interview lavished praise on the club, the fans etc etc it was only a small excerpt that the BBC wrote up. Bottom line is Reina had been way below par for a couple of seasons and was clearly open to a move to Barca. That didn't materialise but what if it had? We can't gamble on players not committed to the club, Reina had to go - I'm not convinced a loan was the best solution but it gets his wages off the books and let's Mignolet have a real chance of establishing himself. Not sure what Rodgers or anyone else has done wrong to be honest.

Agree4 Disagree0

I am sorry to say, but I don't believe this at all.
The original poster has managed to cobble together every rumuor or sniff of rumours into one post while pretending ITK

Agree1 Disagree0

Rodgers out unnamed poster. Maybe you should sign off 'Devils Advocate' next time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reina was waiting for Barcelona to come calling for him. He would have left like a shot if they had. He has also been poor for the last couple of seasons. Brendan has done the correct thing.

Rodgers out??. Rodgers out - standing more like. Negative garbage, sir. Have a word with yourself as much progress has been made. RED MYST.

What's the situation with Lima Eds? He's the 4th top goal scorer in 2013 and I was wondering if any big clubs had interest, cheers in advance. {Ed001's Note - the Benfica lad? He is 29, playing in a league that is in turmoil, with players not being paid for months on end. Most clubs seem to be steering clear of any but the top players there, as it is so difficult to judge ability, when so many players are completely demotivated. There has not been a lot of interest, if he had been 26 or younger, I expect it would have been different. As it is, I believe the interest is coming from one of the ex-USSR teams.}

Believable1 Unbelievable11

What about Garay, Martinez, Iturbe and Gaitan.

All are young enough and have the quality? I presume that Porto and Benfica aren't the teams not paying players.

(Portuguese league is like a worse Spanish league - 2 top teams and the rest are rubbish)

Agree1 Disagree0

Before saying this was all rubbish, I've been to Anfield for a tour as a part of the evening with Didi Hamann a few years ago and was surprised that the tour guide while waiting in the foyer asked us what we thought about hot issues at the club at the time.

It was mainly to do with the ground/redevelopment but the guy who ran the tours (great guide btw) seemed to speak pretty freely about what the club prefered (redevelopment) and was a pleasant surprise considering he could've just kept schtum.

so I doubt they'll have said outright that the club was for sale but I imagine a tour guide will have just given their 2 pence on the matter.

Believable10 Unbelievable24

Funny that, I went on the tour recently and no such thing happened. We gathered out front, went round side into Carlsberg suite, after which we were led through to press room (old boot room), then onto changing rooms/tunnel area, after which went into main stadium, at dug outs, and then round to other seats where the nice lady told us lots about current things re: the club, absolutely nothing about the "hot issues"

Agree2 Disagree0

Oh I'm not saying they're holding a board meeting when you turn up for the tour like, just was a pleasant surprise that an employee of the club was speaking about a subject that you'd normally get a 'no comment' or an army of PR bods getting in your way.

The post I was replying to (seems to have been lost/started a new thread) was about how someone had been told something by staff whilst on the tour of the ground and people were quick to say that would never happen. I'm guessing a tour guide gave his opinion and the poster took it as gospel.

can't knock it though, the tour guides there are a good laugh and informative, credit to the club. would love that job.

I went on the tour years ago, and the tour guide said "we are in for Kuyt", well before it was announced. Though me and my my mate were asking him, he didn't just come out with it.

Ed, do you know of any interest for Geoffrey Kondogbia from Liverpool? Would be a great fit at CDM and considering the state Sevilla are in financially wouldn't be too expensive?
Cheers {Ed002's Note - Kondogbia only moved last summer but Juventus would like to take him in the summer and Begiristain has said he is interested in the player and feels that the club can work with him to be a long term replacement for Yaya Torre. Monaco and Chelsea have asked about his availability whilst Real Madrid were looking to a deal for him that would see a player, Jese Rodriguez, included in the transaction on a loan, sale, or sale to buy back deal. Obviously that is now off the table. Chelsea have turned their attentions elsewhere but both Milan clubs remain interested.}

I no I have asked this before eds, but is there any intrest atall in victor Fischer I thought there would be more intrest in him from must clubs this season but haven't heard much about him giving his age and ability, do u no of any intrest in him atall. And would u see any chance of Bernad coming to us I think Liverpool can offer him more stability than any other team in the prem and what I mean by that is nurture him and make him feel at home, first team football making sure he's there for the World Cup, we have Lucas are guidance mentor who happens to be Brazilian haha, to what 20 million is worth in the football world that is a bargain because within 2 seasons I am telling you there will be 2 50 million price tags on his and coutinios heads, what do u think eds {Ed002's Note - Viktor Fischer is subject to interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Hamburg and Werder Bremen. Ajax is negotiating a new contract with him and I would not expect a move in the summer. I am sorry but I see Bernard as most unlikely - Atletico Mineiro's Bernard rejected opportunities to join Zenit and a Qatar side last summer but there is a chance move on this summer. Inter went as far offering part ownership of others in exchange for part ownership of Bernard last summer, but again that was refused. However, AC Milan, Dortmund, Benfica, Spurs, Arsenal, Spartak Moscow, Terek Grozny and Shakhtar Donetsk have recently approached Atletico Mineiro and whilst a 12M euro offer from Terek was rejected, it looked like a deal could be done by AC Milan will putting together a package including a player as part of the deal - however they are out of the picture after finding another solution. Dortmund spoke with Atletico Mineiro about the player but have seemingly dropped their interest deciding the asking price was too high following a rejected bid. Shakhtar Donetsk have also stepped back considering the price to be too high. Whilst he is certainly attracting interest from several sides and a very good offer could tempt them to sell, I suspect Atletico Mineiro and Bernard would also not have a problem holding off on any move for, say, another year. Chelsea (who have had long term interest), Manchester City and Roma have been keeping a close eye on his progress, but all seem reluctant to make any move, certainly at the asking price. He was one of the South American players that Liverpool were scouting earlier in 2012, but that was pre-Rodgers. This leaves Porto who are another club who would look to a deal possibly based on part ownership or a significant part of his fee being paid in the future. Whether Liverpool, Spurs or Arsenal pursue their interest remains to be seen. So there are offers but there is no agreement right now.}

Hi eds is it true we are after a Paraguayan left back Benfica called Melgarejo on loan? {Ed001's Note - according to his agent, but he did say Arsenal and Trabzonspor bid for him earlier in the summer, so not sure how much faith can be put in his words.}

Get it done, 500k upfront for season long loan, then be bout 4-6m after that he's a worldy then sign llori and we would have are selves 2 young defenders for 10m near enuff
