I noticed the odds on Lambert joining Liverpool shorten in the morning. I posted here at 1pm.
Think it's a wise move by BR because he will give us that extra dimension and muscle when needed plus he really does have good feet for a big guy.

Not for Ricky no thought he was to old for our new approach to transfers

Hye eds, just want to ask about suso, is he going out on loan or permanently to sevilla. I really hope rodgers will not make the same mistake as he made when let go of shelvey. Tried search it already but can't find it. Thanks eds.

Whilst I cannot be sure that about details of any offer from Liverpool, and nobody seems keen to confirm what it is - but I will (unusually) speculate that it is not €20M plus a loan of Suso as is being widely reported. Hopefully we can get some better information very soon.}

I thought as were going to be off loading a fair amount of players and giving loans to the youngsters that Suso like Borini & Wisdom would be back at the club and competing as we will be playing a lot more games next season.

Eds what papers are most reliable for transfers as when one reports something then they all seem to follow and usually its wrong?

Papers fall broadly in to three categories: (a) those that care not at all and will take the scatter gun approach with rumours from endless sources written up by copy editors which will occasionally be correct; (b) those that want to appease the fans of the major clubs and will manage to sift through the rumours to find the most plausible - but they will look to get one or two in a day; (c) those that will seek to confirm rumours before publishing them. There will be fewer but the hit rate will be better.

You probably need to sensibly sift through the rumours yourself a little as well. And no, Joey Barton will not be returning to Liverpool.}

Ed, I understand that the actual reason Chelsea have pulled back is not up for discussion, but is it something that may be of concern to Liverpool too, or just within Chelsea?

Also, is there any chance of Chelsea moving back in to attempt a purchase again or have they been put off permanently?

Do any of you rate Alf Finnbogason who scored 29 league goals for Herenveen in the Dutch league last season? Looks decent on www.youtube.com . It will take 90 points to win the prem next season, I wouldn't mind seeing the back of Sakho, win rate of 50 per cent when he was in the side, 84 % when Agger and Skrtel were in. 12 out , 8 in , seems right.
