Just saw Suarez on MOTD, omg have we got ourselves a little tevez? Ed quick q, how can a player be injured yet pass a medical? What do they fo in these Medicals then? Thanks- in kenny we trust. all you need to do is at the top right there is a gmt setting default is +1 click the arrow and put to gmt 0 and it changes to 8 which is the time in uk :D

He isn't injured. Do you think he isn't in kenny's plans and the club will look to offload him in the summer? {ed's note - it certainly seems that Kenny doesn't see a place for him, it is difficult to imagine him being here next season.}

Here we go ladies and gents, where to get the match on the internet. (I will continue to post this before every match)
HOW TO WATCH LIVERPOOL ON THE INTERNET
(store it for future use)
1. Install the browser Google Chrome.
2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.
3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.
4. Click on extensions
5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.
6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.
7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install.
8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that and it will list all the live games available all over europe.
You may occasionally need to install other programmes, but you will always get every Liverpool match (or any other major one). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English dependent on which links are active. Usually for a Liverpool match there's 20-30 active links. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches, French matches, Mexican, Brazilian, Argentinia and most of the rest ofcentral/ south America.
As an added bonus, those of you with a HD tv and your PC in the lounge, you can connect your TV to your PC and get a bigger picture.

Ok so a few rumours doing the rounds wonderd if the Ed's or anyone else had any input?
In the summer
Liverpool board unveil new manager if things continue to progress it will be Kenny if things stall then who knows it could be anyone. Lets face it Kennys gonna get it and good times will follow! transfer aims will be a wide man with pace creativity and who can cross (the long awaited new stevie heighway :-) ). expect Turan to be first pick, Young and Honda are other likely names maybe even an underated potential gem Downing, Jarvis or Albrighton. Charlie Adam looks dead cert to tell Blackpool board he only wants to move to Liverpool the deal will be sorted in the next few months, he will move when the transfer window opens. Quality Full backs will also be added to the squad. I also think an up and coming young CB will join expect a dan agger esque signing. And hopefully after all this the owners anounce their views towards developing Anfield towards a 60 000 seater and Stevie lifts the Prem trophy above his head in May :-)
If Utd win the league or maybe a double (F.A cup or Champs league) firstly i will be sick! but expect to seeFergie out (retires or joins the board room) and Mourinho in expect to see a see a move for some of the Mourinho old guard such as Drogba, Essien, Carvalho. Also moves for Contreo.
Chelsea will fail to win the Champs League putting the nail in the coffin for Ancelotti new manager will be none over than Rafa. In will come Aguero and maybe just to break our hearts further a bid for Xabi Alonso (although im pretty sure he would never go for this out of respect and his hatred of fat frank).
Arsenal will spend nothing and win nothing, Man city will spend millions on future Dzeko type flops Manicini will be replaced by someone else who will be sacked 6 months later.
I have Generally heard some of these rumours and of course some of it is make believe.

Would people stop whitling on about weather Carrol is worth £35m or not. Bottom line is the owners have re-invested money straight back into the 1st team. We would have been left wondering why we had only one striker again if they had not. This shows great intent from the oweners. Not to mention the taxable amount on the hefty Torres profit so this can be written off against the Carol deal as come the end of the finantional year (before we got chance to spend it in the summer transfer window) we would have lost a chunk to the tax man. Thus in my eyes everything taken into account - a good deal alround. We have 2 decent strikers instead of one that does not want to be there. So please please please can we all be possitive and don't bring all this unwanted negitivity down on the club! We've had so much of that lately. Lets all, Every single Liverpool fan get behind our club 100% and do our part to bring back the glory days! We are the greatest club in the world and its part down to us fans so lets all do our part!

Love this site and have been glued since it became LFC specific last year and want to thank you for keeping us all informed, successful or not!
However, Im getting frustrated at the amount of negativity appearing here from so called supporters, who don't support! I don't think I can take this for another 4/ 5 months until the window opens again. I mean FFS, people are even arguing about how long a bacs transfer takes! Who cares! !
Everyone should be buzzing because we have our LFC back. No more clouds of uncertainty surrounding Torres, no more H&G, an improving squad, great youngsters coming through and KK back on his thrown.
Yet people still want to moan about our new owners and even the committee roles being offered (they can't do anything right in some peoples eyes!), suggest Reina is gonna leave, moaning about how much a player has cost, how the money is paid and even slag off Stevie G and Carra FFS! !
Well, I for one am over the moon about how our club is looking at the moment. You guys do an amazing job, get some great scoops and I know my departure isn't a Torres size issue(!), but Im going to wait until the negs have cleared out nearer the next window before I come back. Hope you don't get swamped with them lads!

Does anyone know of any developments in the situation with Thomas Ince? I read quotes from his Dad saying that he wouldn't sign a new contract it was improved. And a quote that was attributed to someone within LFC saying he wouldn't go back on loan to County unless he signed another contract. Clearly he hasn't signed a new contract does that mean we are going to lose this young talent in the summer when his contract is up?

To everyone saying that £35m is too much for Carroll, I agree but think of it this way.
We saved about £10m on Suarez
We overpaid about £15m on Carroll (on what he's worth right now)
Net overpayment about of £5m
(not to mention we got £50m for Torres which is way more than he's been worth for the last 2 seasons)
Suarez needs a more physical strike partner who can be a target man, hold up play and bring others into the game. (read Carrolls interview on the official site. I bet KK has told him this is exactly why we bought him)
So we overpaid on getting the 2 of them by £5m to make sure our investment in Suarez is maximised. And let's face it Carroll is going to score his fair share of goals and he gives us a Drogba like physical presence up front that we haven't had for ages.
When you consider that Carroll is still very young and can develop further we should be able to recoup what we spent (or maybe more) if we decide to sell him in 5 years.
So, yeah it's alot of money but it's good buisness in my mind, and I'm very glad to see NESV being prepared to pay top $$ to build a TEAM that's capable of winning trophies.

I know from a very good source at SJP that money upfrount was only £18M for carroll and then the rest in installments! but i don't see why every1 is on the back of NESV. . If they werent interested in bringing success to LFC and were only after the money they wudnt of spent £35M weather that be there own money or the money from Nando. . . they could of easily spent £22 on Suarez and left it at that and replaced nando with suarez but they havent they've spent the money to build the squad!

Not dissing NESV as I can only go on what they said about taking the club further, but I will say one thing. The 35 million could be a loan, and not really their own money. They knew they are getting the 50m from the Torres deal in a month so its no skin of their noses. And perhaps we don't have to pay Newcastle for a month either.

i work in this field and a bacs trns takes 5 wrk days but can do a faster bacs which is 24hrs but this has a cap on the amount can be trns. .
i know for a fact that due to money laundering laws all sums around this amount need vetting in depth which will take at least 4days to do before the go ahead to trns money.

Just a thought. I think paying 35 million for Carrol is an absolute joke. I can't see the sence in paying such big money for him. 1 reason i can think of is King kenny. Although many may not like this comment it could hold some truth. If Kenny is not offerd the LFC job in the summer we all know that he wants to be involved in management. The 35 mill from the carrol sale has been put in to the kity for the summer for Newcastle. Hence Kenny not getting the liverpool job expect to see him be the manager of Newcastle next season with 35 mill pluss for the rebuild of there team. Does this make sence? what do you think ed ?

Ed your very correct, all the money spent was from the owners pocket, and the Torres money has been put into the summer transfer fund which will be approx 70m. Hi eds please post in rumours.
I've heard quite a lot about in fighting in the club. The latest one i heard was that Gerrard and Torres had an argument over Fernando's effort levels.( Well rumoured i know.) By all accounts Reina then jumped in to defend Torres and Carragher then jumped on Reina. Could this see the imminent departure of Reina, as the "Scouse Mafia" scare off another player. In my humble opinion Gerrard and Carragher have far too much power. I would rather see Reina stay and Carragher leave. I understand this is a bit controversial as Sand Jamie are untouuchable at the football club. But both are ageing and have far far too much say. I would rather have still had Torres and Reina, than Gerrard and Carragher. Gerrard seems to slow the play down more than anything this season. Without him our passing was fluid and quick. He may be becoming more of hindrance both on and off the pitch.
Any thoughts would be welcome eds.

There's only one website worth watching the game on and that's WWW.liveonlinefooty.com pay £6 for 60days. The streaming never breaks up and commentry is English. I'd give it 8/ 10. Best way to watch any live football from around the world is to type into google (if you use google chrome) 'chrome extensions'. click on the top result. in the search bar type 'live football'. the top result is 'Chrome live football', install it and you will get a little football in the top right of your browser. Click on it, click 'live stream', then scroll to the liverpool game and click on it, you'll get a few options to watch the game on, the best ones are the 'flash links'.

You can't play for your team if you have played for another in that competition. Ajax came 3rd in the CL group stages and so entered the Europa league. Suarez has played for them and therefore cannot play for Liverpool.
Torres has not played for another team in the CL.

To Irish Red and to anyone else that is struggling to get a link to the game, here is how to get matches on google chrome, it does work, the matches arent in English as far as I have seen, although at least you can still watch the match.
1. Search for google chrome, download and install
2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.
3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.
4. Click on extensions button
5. At the bottom right of the page andyou will see "get more extensions"
6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.
7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install.
8. A small football will then appear in the top right of the screen, click on that and it will list all the live games available

I just happend to be watching Sky Sports News yesterday. I couldn't believe my eyes who Sky had got to explain tactically on a screen where Chelsea are going to play Torres in their team. Not Terry Venables, not George Graham, not Glen Hoddle and not Matt Le Tissier. But who else but the man who said Liverpool were not a big club anymore a few weeks ago on Five Live, that tactical genius Lawrie Sanchez. It's amazing that when a former 'hoofer' from the so called crazy gang with absolutely no personality, goes to Specsavers and buys some designer specs that they suddenly become a tactical genius in Sky Sports eyes. Re cash turnstiles for Stoke game tonight.
I went to Liverpool one store yesterday to get my ticket and Suarez shirt. I got the only ticket left in kop block 202. there were a few singles in low rows but I like to be a bit higher up. the girl on the counter showed me the screen while searching and the only place with good availability was lower anfield road so expect it to be the back end of lower Annie - like looking through a letter box due to low roof

He can be 'bullied' out of games. Unless he straps on a pair, he is best in the Italian league
Kenny understands we have too many who are too weak for the EPL (menatlly or physically or both) and is starting to get some lads who can (like he could) put themselves about (and not go into sulks).
I predict a team that we want, one that is capable of winning the EPL with europe secondary for the time being.
Thats what we want, so lets all get with the project and support the King and the new empire that is about to dawn. Less moaning. . . .

My brother-in-law is 58 and a diehard bluenose. Wonderful rows over the years and banter between us about red v blue.

Hi Ed. Love the site. Was just wondering if you had any info on the Warnock loan deal. I'm pretty sure loans can still go through until the end of Feb so wondered if you think this will still happen, and if not why not? Keep up the good work.
Reddman420 {ed's note - as far as I can find out UEFA rules forbid player movement outside the transfer windows, loan or otherwise. Which is why lower leagues can still carry on taking loans, they are not governed by UEFA. I never did think Warnock was returning, I had heard nothing from his camp regarding it, not sure if that was just them keeping schtum so they didn't scupper any potential move though.}

Ed please reply. . . tha cash turnstiles for stoke game, do you know is it kop, annie rd , etc. . .cheers. . {ed's note - I don't know, only know there is cash turnstiles, which is a bit disappointing after the hype of the January window. I would expect there would be tickets available for all of them by the sounds of it. Mind Stoke are always a difficult game to sell tickets for, they play such terrible football the day trippers aren't going to bother going! Doesn't help it is a midweek game either.}

1) How about multiple sponsorhip deals from a parent company or other company?
2) How about large orders of merchandise?
3) How about a large payment for an area of the training ground (set-up for viewing the playing squad etc)?
There are bound to be many ways around the restrictions. . . . . . . . {ed's note - why don't you try reading the rules and you will find they have thought of all those! Do you not realise they have had teams of lawyers poring over them for months to try and find every loophole? They are also ready to make amendments every time a loophole is found and exploited. Though I am sure they will be happy to allow teams to charge for fans to watch training as most countries already do that!}

Hi Eds, I'm just writing to comment on some things that were written on the site just after the window closed. I was busy with travel and not able to write this earlier, but feel strongly enough to write even now that the fuss has died down.
There were a number of people making derogatory comments about the eds, and specifically about Macca, and these comments were based on the fact that we hadn't signed the number of players that had been rumoured, and therefore Macca was suddenly an untrustworthy source and eds didn't know what they were talking about (stronger language was used at the time).
Can we just look at what's going on here for a moment. We're coming on to this site because it's a source of rumours and banter. Much of it is nonsense, and that's fine because it's often funny as well.
Some of it is unerringly accurate and Macca (who I don't know from Adam by the way (note: 'Adam', not 'Adams' LOL)) has given us some great information recently. BUT the information that Macca is passing on (and the eds) is based on the football club's INTENTIONS and no-one can account for the fact that the club's plans may not come to fruition.
So what's the point of what I'm saying? . . When the transfer window closed Liverpool were rumoured to have had bids turned down for several players (Ashley Young? Micah Richards? Charlie Adam?) and if in the normal course of things we would have gone back with revised bids, or turned our attentions to other players (Hazard, Lukaku? who knows?) We ran out of time because we didn't expect to spend so much time and focus on having to sell FT and replace him on.
So when Macca and the eds told us that they were expecting a number of other transfers, they weren't talking nonsense, and this doesn't suddenly make them unreliable. They were telling you real rumours about the club's real intentions. They do not have crystal balls, and they do not know how other clubs will react to our enquiries or bids. For God's sake, if outcomes could be predicted that accurately then we wouldn't bother watching sport, and there wouldn't be any bookies!
So if some of you start ranting, without putting your brain into gear (and I know it's the minority) then don't be surprised if people stop sharing their information. They're not doing it because they enjoy getting grief. .
My mouth is watering at the prospect of the rest of the season. I'm off to Anfield tonight to witness Suarez' debut, and I can't wait to see Carroll in the red shirt. I also know that Liverpool need other reinforcements, but I trust the club to act when it is able to do so.
The owners, Kenny, DC and everyone else connected with the club have reacted to recent events with speed, commitment, decisiveness and above all dignity. Unite behind them, stop worrying about FT, and look forward to the next few years. It's going to be great

Hi ed's had to do a bit of homework before coming back to u.Hope this is a bit of good news for us.when Adam was reported to have gave the thumbs up to sky sport's news reporter late on monday night and say 'sorted'.It was because i'm being told he was going to get his move to lpool in summer if he agreed to see out the remainder of the season with Blackpool!Pls tell me what you think mate? {ed's note - it is true that he is to leave in the summer, but that is if you trust the Oystons! Plus there is no guarantee that we will still want him then.}

As Carroll has moved to us, does that mean he still has to live with Nolan or can that be tranferred? If he stays with Gerrard that may be a bit scary based on recent Sg behaviour? Maybe he should stay with KK for a while and learn the ropes?

Couple of things to sort out. . .
Torres's buy out clause did not come into effect, it was only due to come into effect, if liverpool do not qualify for the champions league this season.
Chavski were not prepared to wait hence the first bid of 35m, to test liverpools resolve, Which i am glad to say was STEADFAST, even after torres's transfer request. We were more than prepared to keep hold of torres until the summer, until roman came back in with the 50m, at which point nando was told u stay until we have a replacement, if we don't get one u stay!. (suarez was not the replacement)
Chavski wanted nando NOW for their push in the second half of the season , that's why he came in at 50m. nothing to do with BUY OUT CLAUSES (which seems to be the mantra lately on this site).
Harry n the brown envelope brigade @ spurs,
harry's last ditch attempt to sign charlie adam, wasn't to do with who we wanted so harry tried to piss us off, he was after a Leader type player, he bid for neville-REJECTED, he bid for aguero-REJECTED, He bid for LLorente- REJECTED, he went back for neville-Rejected. . .basically all of his targets - rejected, hense the last ditch bid for club captain Adam.( side note. . after the way he has handled himself in all this messing around that blackpool have give him, i want him @ liverpool more than ever now).
last but not least the ever arrising question " why is harry always after our targets? ". . fact is , it's not just harry and spurs. .many more clubs have these players on their watch list. . the world is a much smaller place now, and all clubs are looking for good promissing players, fact is that spurs are one of the clubs who will and can spend large sums of money, not man citeh style but large enough to raise an eyebrow or two, so don't just think its 'arry it's not. It's all managers.
i do have a pondering tho. . i have noticed how awfly quiet transfers are around castle greyskull in the last couple of windows, lets just hope the glaziers remain there til they hit the bottom as we very nearly did. . .and all u tit's who burned torres shirt and slate him on here, he was quality for us remember that, and also remember he could yet save liverpool this season. . .if he was to put chavski back into the title race and nick it off them, that keeps them (MAN URE) @ 18 titles the same as us. I FOR ONE WOULD BE MASSIVELY DEPRESSED IF THEY OVERTOOK US ON THAT SIDE OF THINGS, MORE THAN LOOSING NANDO ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
So from me, (i don't think you did it right at all Nando, and slating our club is bad too.), but come on Torres BEAT THE MANKS.

Can you please post this Ed, spoke to someone tonite who knows Torres, and I was slating him about what he had said bout going to a bigger club, and how that comment has upset alot of people, she mentioned that there's noway that Torres really thinks that and what was mentioned in the papers / media was scripted, wat he's been told to say from Chelsea. It would make sense, as Torres never came across as that type of person, it did make me wonder anyway, as we can only believe wat we read, which in future am gonna take wit a pinch of salt {ed's note - he never had to say it though.}

Ed, just noticed on the official LFC.TV site that Suso has been given a squad number, the number 35 and Raheem Sterling given number 38, do you think we might see these two lads get their First team debut before the season is out?? Maybe Kenny's gonna look to promote Suso instead of bringing in Charlie Adam in the summer. . Anything I've seen of Suso he looks quality and he's only 17, the new Fabregas maybe? ? {ed's note - Suso is more of an advanced player than Adam, they would compliment each other in the team. I do expect those two to get first team football before the season finishes.}

Ryan Babel has used his official Twitter account to thank Liverpool fans for the support they gave him during his three and a half year spell at Anfield.
After 146 appearances and 22 goals, the Dutchman bade farewell to the Reds last week by signing for German side Hoffenheim.
However, Babel was eager to express his gratitude to Kopites and admits he feels privileged to have played for Liverpool.
He Tweeted the following on @RyanBabel on Monday night:
