Hi Eds
Am I right that the Russian window doesn't shut today? If that is the case what are the chances of Zenit coming back for Skrtel in the next few days? {Ed001's Note - their's shut an hour or so ago.}

Believable1 Unbelievable6

02 Sep 2013 22:05:01
any news on wisdom?
cheers {Ed001's Note - he should go out on loan during the Football League loan window in a week or so.}

Believable13 Unbelievable2

It's a shame he didn't go to Fulham, it would be nice to loan are younger players out in the Premier League as that's such good experience for when they come back, but Wigan and Coyle would be just down the road and the Championship is a tough second league.

Agree3 Disagree0

I thought there would have been plenty of premier league teams interested? There were a few teams being mentioned {Ed001's Note - yes but the injury to Toure meant we were not ready to let him go yet.}

Agree2 Disagree1

Isnt toure supposed to be back for our next game though? {Ed001's Note - yes, but we needed him yesterday and it just left it too late to sort out a deal.}

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 22:03:19
Excuse my ignorance, but did Borini go on loan or not? Was the deal completed? Cheers. {Ed001's Note - yes, he is at Sunderland for the season.}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Good luck Borini, work your socks off and come back a better player. YNWA

Agree3 Disagree0

Think this was a bad move by Liverpool however, with the amount of abuse the lad was getting of his own fans it might be the best thing for him in the long run. You plastic fans ripping into a player who had about a month of actual football uninjured hang your heads in shame, some of the people who support us are an embarrassment. {Ed001's Note - that is the reason he was sent out on loan, too many boo boys on his back.}

Agree1 Disagree2

I like borini I think he works hard. Hopefully he does well and comes back

Agree1 Disagree1

If so then it might be very shrewd management, no point him staying here just to have his confidence destroyed.

Agree0 Disagree1

Borini makes some great runs - He is a very clever footballer who creates space for others.

He will get goals too - maybe not loads but he is a good finisher. Shame he has gone out on loan.

Shame all the fans who didn't see BR as the answer take their frustrations out on a young player who spent most of last season injured - Thought LFC fans were better than that!

Agree1 Disagree1

Football is all about different opinions. If everyone had the same we wouldn't have forums like this. I don't accept someone being given a 'plastic' or 'boo boy' tag just because they don't rate a particular player. When we pay £725 for a season ticket, and i'm in my 29th year as a season ticket holder, then we hold the right have an opinion even if its not popular. I'll always support the men in Red, through wind and rain. But I'm not so blinkered that I will claim greatness in every player. Borini, in my opinion, wasn't isn't and never will be, of the quality our team deserves. Of course, I wish him well and hope he is a success at Sunderland.

ssn Reporting Ian Ayre has said no more business from Liverpool.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

It will be a smoke screen to some fans! Great business this summer!

Agree4 Disagree0

8 new signings: Aspas, Mignolet, Alberto, Toure, Sakho, Illori and with Cissokho and Moses arriving on loan.

I think we're keeping Suarez, at least until January and we're top of the league by two clear points, although we've only played three games, but we're yet to concede. So if anyone would have offered me this a month ago, I would have snatched their hands off and offered them a pint. :)

Agree6 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 21:51:56
Is that it then ed would you think? {Ed001's Note - yes, unless something out of the blue occurs, like a desperate United offer 300m for Suarez, it is done now.}

Believable7 Unbelievable1

United have looked utterly clueless and incompetent in this window. £27.5 million for Fellani and industrious bruiser LoL XD. I'm gutted United didn't get Herrera for £36 million, that would have been so funny, as he's not an outstanding player but a hard worker. In other words he's a Moyes and Everton type player. Would have added an extra sweetener to the window watching United waster £60 million on hard workers and not class acts. Fellani for £27.5 million is expensive. :)

02 Sep 2013 21:40:01
Hello Eds. I take it we are done with our transfers for this window then? {Ed001's Note - should be now.}

Very happy with this window if LS stays, good signings and some deadwood gone

Any updates of anyone leaving eds {Ed002's Note - Nope. Liverpool will not let Skrtel leave on loan.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Hi Ed, What about Wisdom on loan? Thanks

Ynwa {Ed001's Note - he might go, but not for a week at least and to the Championship.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Agger, Skrtel, Sakho, Toure and Illori. I think that's the most depth we've had in years and years, obviously Coates is injured for the long term and we have a few others like Sama, Wisdom and even Kelly who can do a job at the back.

Even though Sakho and Illori are untested in the Premier League, Sakho has proved a rock in France playing 196 games for PSG and has played 14 times for France since 2010 (that's more than Laurent Koscielny to put things in perspective), although he is human and still has a lot to learn he is a quality defender and let's hope he proves a real long term success.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 19:21:29
Eds, if Suarez does move do you think we will be going in fkr another Striker?
Has Borini ended up on loan at Sunderland or not? can't find any updates through bbc.

Cheers in advance, I know you must all be very busy {Ed001's Note - yes Borini has moved and Suarez won't go without a replacement.}

Believable4 Unbelievable8

Really - Borini has gone out on loan? who will replace him? If we get one or two injuries we will be light. Have I missed something? He needs games I agree but I would have kept him within the squad and given him a chance to prove his worth.

Agree1 Disagree2

Even if Sturridge and Suarez were to get injured, Aspas would be the focal point of the attack with Moses, Ibe, Sterling and even Henderson who did a job against United, used as the wide/forwards in some capacity and Coutinho to play behind, I imagine? Luis Alberto can play as a striker as well he was explaining in his interview video with LFC.

We also have a lot youth as some sort of emergency cover if we were really desperate. Borini going on loan to Pablo's Sunderland is much better than not being used and starting and stopping with momentum in his development. No panic reaction is needed as this is a good solution, we get back a more complete player hopefully, after some good games under his belt.

Hi Eds, do you know if anyone else will becoming into Liverpool now?. Deadline been great for Liverpool Football Club. {Ed001's Note - still expect one more, though probably a smaller signing.}

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Must be Arda Turan - he's tiny. You and your cryptic clues!

Agree1 Disagree2

Any idea of what position we are looking at strengthening? Forward or midfield?

Agree0 Disagree2

Who is this smaller signing I'm so happy with what we've done so anything more is a bonus IMO

Agree2 Disagree0

Shay Given? I'd rather we signed no one else!

Agree1 Disagree2

Collymore says Liverpool will not be bringing in any more players this summer. I hardly think Collymore is in the loop though

Agree2 Disagree0

Would it be Shay Given, ed? {Ed001's Note - it wasn't him, it was meant to be an attacker, but nothing came of it. I don't know anything about a deal for Given.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it danilo by any chance ed001 thanks in advance. {Ed001's Note - no idea who it should have been.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Shaun Wright Phillips?. Nathan Dyer?

Just wondering if anybody got a name for this mystery player?

Thanks for the window eds, you guys have been magnificent. Take a bow. {Ed001's Note - he was only a youngster apparently, so defo not Given!}

Hello eds I know yous stated Martin skittle to leave but any chance napoli got him today heard he left early this morning for a season loan any truth or did that fail great job have a stress free day ;) hunt10lfc4life {Ed002's Note - Napoli are only looking for a loan as they have already had a cash bit rejected. I don't see Liverpool wanting a loan and I think they were expecting another cash bid. Napoli has two other players they are considering as well. I don't know what progress they have made.}

02 Sep 2013 18:16:28
Do you know if RM have bid for LS yet Ed2? Surely they're running out of time as are we to get a replacement?! Sorry for all the questions. Thanks. {Ed002's Note - Read the posts. I cannot keep answering the same question over and over.}

Believable4 Unbelievable12

02 Sep 2013 18:10:57
Reports coming out of Spain that RM have made a late bid for LS in the region of £55million. Heard anything eds? And what's the likely hood it will be accepted this late in the window?
vrcomp
Y.N.W.A. {Ed002's Note - I am not sure that any bid has actually arrived yet but I expect at least one to be made. This should not be a shock to anyone.}

Believable7 Unbelievable18

I'm suprised rm have left it so late but I guess getting bale was top priority if they do bid and its acceptable I just hope it gives us time to get some 1 in stan collymore reckons saurez is going no where not sure how reliable he is but if rm come in with a good offer and we can get a decent replacements in seems pointless keeping him chained to brendans desk any longer if he doesn't want to be here

Agree0 Disagree1

Its not a shock. I've been waiting for it for the last few days. I just wondered if you had heard anything as per the reports on the internet and what you thought would be the chance of us letting him leave this late in the window?
And also if we did sell we would have spare cash maybe for a move for someone like Mata.
vrcomp
Y.N. W.A {Ed002's Note - It is clear Liverpool don't want to sell him right now. Mata has been done to death.}

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 19:29:04
I was using Mata as an example. ;)). Not as a target!
Or if we let LS leave have we got enough in the squad to cover. We seem to be playing well enough without him.
vrcomp

Y.N.W.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not happening, he signed a contract and will stay another year, eds are U in the know or on the wind up because he has come out saying its over, he is staying!

Daniellambretta

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay Borini has gone on a season loan so we sell Suarez which leaves us just 1 proven goal scorer. While Mata has a pretty good goal scoring record from midfield I don't see him as a replacement striker. Okay yeah there are still rumours floating around about Mata leaving Chelsea things will have to move fast with only 3 hours 30 minutes left to the window closing and counting down.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 18:06:14
Hi Eds great jobs you do, do you think there is any realistic chance we might get Mata on loan today, would be unbelievable if we could get him? {Ed002's Note - Zero.}

Believable3 Unbelievable17

Ed but I thought the money is there for the right player?i don't think anyone will sign now btw I think its too late on but i'm just saying? {Ed002's Note - Ilori? Sakho? Moses?}

Getting Moses on loan was a small surprise but getting Mata would be a miracle.

Hi. been trying to get a message through for ages now. really hoping this one gets through. love the site.
Regular is an understatement.

But a question for the Edds?
In your honest opinion do Liverpool have ANY interest in Mata?
I highly rate this footballer and his abilities. with world cup coming next year, and him being a surplus to chelsea. (I think) would he consider a move? I know i'm asking for the world atm. but is there any hope?

{Ed002's Note - Obviously they have "some" level of interest as they made a general enquiry about whether the player would be available for a loan. I would not see any hope of a loan and unless money could be raised from the sale of Suarez I can't see any chance at all of a sale. Sorry.}

02 Sep 2013 17:18:58
Hi ed002,

First of all really appreciate the work you are doing - this is the only site I would label as a reliable rumour site and that is mainly due to you ed002. So thank you. My question is that do you think either Benzema or Di María would be interested in a move to us if offered for Suarez? {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid want to move Benzema on but he is, like Khedira, reluctant to leave. As such, it seems unlikely because of the player not the club. Di Maria was not keen on Spurs due to there being no Champions League - but Arsenal would like the deal and he was open to a deal but there is a push from within to block any move. I think it unlikely.}

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Was Arsenal the club in question? {Ed002's Note - What club?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Another question then Ed. Do you think we would sell Suarez (I know what the club/BR is saying though I take it with a pinch of salt) without a replacement lined up? {Ed002's Note - I would have expected the club to have a player in mind if they were selling Suarez.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed02 do u think dimaria deal will be done with arsenalbefore deadline? {Ed002's Note - Try the Arsenal page.}

Daniel Pacheco ‏@dani37pacheco 1m

I'm proud to announce that I'm joining @AD_Alcorcon permanent. I wanna say massive thanks to LFC for all they gave me in 6 years.
good luck Dani

Believable26 Unbelievable4

The teams been well and truly under the cosh for 4 seasons and I think it's stunted some of the progression in the first team for a few. Tom Ince is another example. Pacheco was no doubt frustrating on and off the pitch at times, but he has ability and proved how good he can be in the perfect environment for the Spanish youth a few seasons back. Let's hope he finds his way and gets to play at a good level in time. YNWA Pacheco.

Great sport at one of the hospital visits during the Christmas trip a few years back, I remember one of the nurses singling him out and saying that Dani was so natural and encouraging with the children that everyone was laughing and relaxed. Nice memory to remember him by, the pitch comes first, but something's off the sacred green kinda transcend and put things into a natural reality check.

Agree2 Disagree0

The simple reason is that he was not good enough. The fact only second division Spanish team were prepared to buy him speaks volumes. I think there is a lot of rose tinted glasses from the odd preseason game were he performed well.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 15:41:00
ok just heard on ssn sports the news that lfc are looking to sign shay given. baffled by this. I am very happy with what we have done but due to borini leaving I was kind off hoping maybe we had a striker in mind. an ageing goal keeper makes no sense to me. obviously there trying to keep mignoloet on his toes. but given won't do that yes granted his a fantastic goal keeper but surly a young keeper would be better suited for that job

Believable12 Unbelievable15

02 Sep 2013 16:14:00
He'll make a good coach if we sign him, and he stays on.

And Mignolet can understand his accent.

Agree2 Disagree0

My thoughts exactly. Given has years of experience at both international and club level and would be a great mentor for Mignolet.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 16:11:59
He'll make a good coach if he stays on.

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop moaning, BR has done a great job since he has been here, most of his signing have been spot on and I don't want to 2nd guess the man, and as the posts above said he could be a coach, and a very young one at that with all his experience

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a backup to Jones the club has always had 3 keepers.

Agree0 Disagree0

We lost Doni, Gulacsi and Reina and only bought in Mignolet and had Jones and young Ward, so another goal keeper with vast experience on fair wagers would be welcomed. We lost Reina and Doni a few season back and needed the third choice that was Jones, so I think three goal keepers of differing experience and type is always and advantage over two.

I think there is one eye on Given being looked at for his experience and his temperament for moving into a coaching role possibly. I'm half Irish so it's nothing but good drills that Shay will be given :) such an opportunity and chance at one of the greatest clubs in football. He's been a servant for his Country, Newcastle and Villa and you can't get much better places to finish off a career than at Liverpool.

Agree1 Disagree1

02 Sep 2013 15:25:55
hi eds not long now before the close of the window would really love to see 1 more come in in the shape of mata, yarmolenko or damiao would it still be possible to make 1 of them happen if we made an acceptable bid and it was accepted or is it to late now come on eds what does your crystal ball say can you see at least 1 more come through the door b4 the deadline {Ed002's Note - I think I have covered all of those players sufficiently. However, one more time: Liverpool made a further loan enquiry for Mata (and an approach has been made by another side as well) and that is all. AC Milan has dropped what interest it had in Yarmolenko and Zenit have had two bids rejected for the player. Liverpool has never made contact with Internacional about Damiao although there is interest in the player from elsewhere.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Ed what was Chelsea's response to Mata loan?
I suppose the other side is PSG. Surely Chelsea would rather loan Mata to us than sell to PSG.
As Spock would say its only logical :) {Ed002's Note - If Mata were to ask for a transfer and an acceptable offer were made then Chelsea would sell him. That is how they do business - they won't keep a player who does not want to be at the club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think If mata was to leave chelsea he would go to psg then chelsea can get hulk for the season loan for the 10 million fee been reported I would love mata at lfc but not even in my wildest dreams could I see it happening {Ed002's Note - If Chelsea were to make any move for Hulk it would not be on loan.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hulk to chelsea be a good signing seems like a player jose might like ill keep watching/reading to see if that story goes any where

Just heard a filthy rumour, Chelsea interested in taking Suarez to Chelsea after giving up on Rooney and in return they will offer Liverpool Juan Mata and Fernando Torres plus cash? Sounds like a load of bull###t to me but the Mata to Liverpool rumour came from Mirror & Chelsea journalist Martin Lipton - happy typing EDS fab job by the way!

Believable24 Unbelievable25

I'd be ecstatic about Mata + 20m or so. That would be an amazing deal.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sounds like bull###t to me too. Mata cost around £25 mill and Torres £50 mill and we're getting cash too? Can't see it mate!

Agree1 Disagree1

Personally, i'd take Lukaku and Mata for Suarez and Chelsea can even keep the change and they can keep Torres.

I think Suarez would get goals and create for Chelsea, that's what he does and it doesn't matter who he does it for. Lukaku and Sturridge would work well, as both have decent pace and can run the lines. Mata is outstanding for me, he's a gem and I can't understand Mourinho's willingness to let him leave, I know he's not the Mourinho type winger but he's been the rhythm of the team. But i'd be quite happy to keep Suarez and watch the lad play for one more season. {Ed002's Note - The Orange Sunshine kicking in?}

Agree0 Disagree0

We will NOT be selling Suarez to any EPL team. Get it through your heads.!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 14:13:20
Hi Eds, with the world focusing on Bale, are any of the rumblings coming from Liverpool true?

Suarez to Chelsea / Madrid
Benzema / Torres included in bid
£50 mil plus

{Ed002's Note - The club is continuing to say that they are not going to let him leave regardless of what offers come in. So, if the club are to be believed then they will reject any final bids and he will probably remain a hostage for a while longer.}

Believable9 Unbelievable10

To be fair Ed002 Hostages do not get paid in excess of £100,000 per week, the little Scheiße needs teaching a lesson that you can't just throw your toys out of the pram every time you can't have what you want, his parents should of already taught him that basic lesson. I want him gone as much as the next man but on our terms not his

Agree3 Disagree0

Hostage is a bit harsh, but pretty accurate now days. players have all the power now, wonder why they just don't sort their own transfers out, and just drive on over to another club and play for them if they feel like it. Personally i'm all but happy that pool put their foot down and made a point. Then again if he leaves I wouldn't be bothered at all. He deserves everything he's got, good or bad. He played well and deserves credit, and he acted like a tool aswell, and deserves a bite in the a#s all the same. Either way let's keep supporting the club and not a situation!

Agree0 Disagree0

A hostage on £100k a week.playing for the best club in the country.the poor bugger

Agree1 Disagree0

Hostage?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hostage? That is a bit of an odd expression Ed002. He's under contract. No-one has matched the club's valuation. How is he a 'hostage'? {Ed002's Note - The club are forcing him to stay against his will.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Playing football for a living each week for one of the most successful teams ever on a very healthy salary is seen as being held hostage now is it. {Ed002's Note - It does if he is desperate to leave.}

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 15:36:13
Do you believe the club ed? {Ed002's Note - Well I would hope they would not be dumb enough to turn down an offer that was to the clear benefit of the club.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You do realise ed is saying hostage because that's what LS has been bitching about to his 'friends' {Ed002's Note - Right Lee.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hostage ed? Come on you know better than that? Maybe you were just adding some dark sarcastic humor

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah his position as a hostage must be sheer hell!

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha damn didn't know hostages now got paid shows what this country is going to hey

Agree0 Disagree0

I love our firm stance on this. Not only does it send a message to Suarez that he can't get away with anything he wants. It sends a message to future players. And I think Rodgers has done a Van Gaal and showed his balls to the rest of the squad about who's boss {Ed002's Note - The message to future players being "if you want to leave we won't let you". I can only think of one player in the Liverpool squad who would be impressed by such behaviour by Rodgers.}

Agree1 Disagree0

There's is a way to get a move if you're that desperate to leave. Inviting MARCA to your home and going out of your way to give The Guardian and Telegraph an interview is not it. The message it sends out to future players is throwing your toys of the pram won't work.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hostage just a wee bit over the top Ed002 no? It's not like we're demanding the government give us nuclear weapons or we'll blow his brains all over the video monitor. {Ed002's Note - He is being kept against his will at a club he wishes to leave. He has accepted this and has released the information that this is the case and that he will leave next year regardless of what happens. Call it what you will.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 which player do you think in the sqaud would be impressed with brendans behaviour or his balls if he was to decide to show them lol {Ed002's Note - Probably best not to say.}

Agree0 Disagree0

None of us can claim to know the full extent of the Suarez situation but I would have thought it was more a case of not letting him leaves unless a decent offer is received. I cannot imagine he's gone as quiet as he has if he hasn't been told the same. I know there are still some muted rumblings but he has hardly been as vocal as time has ticked on. Hostage, possibly, but even they have a price.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 19:41:06
I was under the impression that he hasn't requested a transfer. So obviously hasn't until now wanted to so much as to put his money where his mouth is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want to get carried away but with Luis Suarez in the side along with the current team already doing well (3 games in) it seems feasible we can finish top 4 this season. If so Suarez may not be so much of a hostage at the end of the season and may want to stay who knows. A lot can happen in a year injuries, suspensions included so we will see! Anything is possible.

02 Sep 2013 13:11:24
Have you heard of a bid for Skrtel yet Ed? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Napoli have three possible CB targets and I suspect after their bid for Skrtel was originally rejected they will seek a loan in the first instance. This will drag on throughout the day.}

Believable9 Unbelievable11

Is there any interest from Zenit to strike a deal today? Thanks {Ed002's Note - I explained previousl what Csonto has said about Zenit - and they have an offer on the table for another CB.}

Ed, unlikely as it is, is there any chance that the club could go in for Di Maria as he's available and we are possibly looking an attacker? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Arsenal are still hopeful they can strike a deal for Di Maria today. I would very much think Liverpool are still looking to bring a forward in if they are considering accepting an offer for Suarez - and I am not going to go in to detail, but will re-iterate that there might be more than one offer.}

More than one offer from more than one club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope IF we let Suarez go we can get AT LEAST 1 top player in, who is the question though?

Damiao not geographically viable unless a medical could be arranged over there which I don't even know could happen, Yarmo? Turan? Struggling to think.

Deadline day business eh! (No nails already) {Ed023's Note - Ozil's medical is in Germany so it isn't out of the question although saying that I don't think it will happen}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi ed. Been done to death I know but you obviously half expect more than just RM to bid for LS. Who else is in the mix. Would one of these rare players plus cash be on the cards? I know anything is possible. Also, does it look to your knowledge that Liverpools business is done now incoming wise unless LS goes?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey ed, do you think the Ozil money will be used to cover the spending for Bale, or are Real preparing to move in for Luis?
And if, theoretically, Suarez goes, are there any other names touted as replacements except for Arda Turan (rumour-wise, I do not want you to claim whom we will go after) {Ed002's Note - It is simply income to the club. It doesn't get pushed in to one of the bottles on the shelf: "Bale Fund", "Suarez Fund", "Holiday Fund", "Bribes". The names that have been suggested are pretty much as we have seen on here - I am not aware of specific interest right now.}

Believable1 Unbelievable3

"Bribes" - got a chuckle from me

Hi Eds. Do you know if there is an option to buy in Moses' contract? Cheers {Ed002's Note - I understand it is for now a loan only.}

Believable0 Unbelievable5

I read that chelsea want to keep him as they see him as a vital player in the future {Ed002's Note - I would not say "vital", it is simply keeping options open and, without going in to detail, deferred income for next season.}

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Sep 2013 12:04:25
Eds, could the injury to Johnson yesterday cause Wisdoms loan move to be cancelled? {Ed002's Note - It will depend on the injury and the readiness of Kelly and Flanagan I would think. For now a "maybe".}

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Wisdom can be be loaned out after the deadline ends today can't he if it is to a lower league team i.e. Wigan

Hey eds what is the likelihood of Liverpool signing yarmolenko before deadline {Ed001's Note - I don't know what is happening there at all, sorry.}

Believable9 Unbelievable12

Officials from Zenit St Petersburg are reportedly in discussions with a view to his purchase. {Ed002's Note - They have had two bids rejected but will keep pushing. AC Milan have dropped their interest due to the "stunning" price being asked.}

Ed002. Do you still expect a bid for Agger from Barcelona today? Thanks {Ed002's Note - Do not be surprised to see an offer come in. Barcelona are looking to get a couple of players in - but only at the right price and the players they want.}

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Thanks Ed002. Any idea if they will offer any players? Or if cash - how much? Thanks {Ed002's Note - They have a couple of players who are not currently fit that may well be available for loan. But equally, they are expecting a bid for one of their players today and so efforts will be made to thwart that. If a bid comes it will likely be cash only, but I very much doubt enough to tempt Liverpool.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed002 {Ed002's Note - I think you can now put aside thoughts of a bid for Agger.}

How come Ed002. Barca moved on?

Thanks {Ed002's Note - This is a busy day B, I have a mass of work to get through and really no time for this chit-chat posts. Sorry.}

No worries. Thanks

hi eds, do you think suarez will now go, and we will take benzema as part of the deal as an extra striker.also did we go for moses because we are loaning borini out to loan. first post great job lads. y.n.w.a. {Ed002's Note - There will be an offer for Suarez. Benzema is available but wants to stay, but there will be an offer made for him by another club today. If he would consider a move to Liverpool, and if Liverpool wanted him, Real Madrid would happily include him in a deal.}

Believable6 Unbelievable14

Which club made an offer? Friends are telling me Bayern Munich {Ed002's Note - Try the Real Madrid page, we don't have the time to discuss other clubs here today.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Benzema is not in the same class as Suarez in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

The only place Suarez is going is to the CL with LFC. For those who think he will struggle to get in the team, get real!

Hi eds. Do we have any interest in Carlos Vela as a replacement for LS? (assuming he leaves) He is a great finisher and much improved from his time at Arsenal. {Ed002's Note - As I have previously said, there was an indication that there would be interest shown. The player is apparently open to understanding what options exist. Right now I am not aware that Liverpool are looking to make an offer.}

According to Egyptian colleagues here in Abu Dhabi, Liverpool are supposedly interested I the Egyptian international forward Mohammad Saleh who currently plays for FCC Basel and scored against Spurs and Chelsea in theChampions League. Plays up front for Egypt and left wing for Basel. Apparently this is being reported in the Egyptian press

Believable8 Unbelievable25

He was very impressive last season. Would be a good addition if true.

Agree0 Disagree1

I pray to god you are right . He is absolute quality mate .

Brilliant player. I thought last season after seeing him in Europe that someone would try to buy him in the summer. Hope it's us.

I have no idea how accurate this is. Just passing on what my Egyptian colleagues have told me. By the way I have converted one of them to be a red!

Sakho DONE DEAL confirmed by LFC. welcome to Anfield, Mamadou! Hope you become a legend in your own right.

Believable32 Unbelievable4

He might not be the goal scoring player were looking for but for me is a real coup and i'm extremely happy that we choose him over Papa as Sakho has all the attributes to become a Liverpool Legend.

All 3 deals now reported done so that's Sakho. Ilori, and Moses signed up and eligible to play for us as of now.

hi eds not so much Liverpool related but do you know of any teams interested in abel hernadez? and thanks for all the info etc you guys do an amazing job. keep it up {Ed002's Note - Roma has a sustained interest in Hernandez. Napoli, Arsenal and Dortmund have enquired in recent weeks and been told he is not available.}

Eds001,
Think it best I ask you this one, being as you a fellow red.
Do you think lfc will sell suarez before the 11pm deadline? {Ed001's Note - I have no idea, I expect offers to come in, but I have no way of knowing if anyone will meet the asking price. I would say it is more likely he will leave than stay.}

Believable9 Unbelievable21

Cheers ed, I understand this question may have put you on spot a bit & you may get stick by responding. Big up fella & really appreciate the wrk all you good folks put in on this website. {Ed001's Note - I get stick anyway, and that's just off my daughter!}

Agree0 Disagree0

BR said after the game he expects our business to be done for the window after Sakho, Illori and Moses. Do you think that's just an answer to not give anything away?
thanks ed001 {Ed001's Note - hard to say, nothing a manager says publicly can be taken at face value, but this time it is most likely that he is right on incomings. I can't see anything else being done, but then I never thought we would get all 3 of these done.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I hope we finalise all 3 and keep Luis. even if it just until Jan I think we would be silly to let him go!

I know Studge is on fire but if he gets an injury the goals are going to be few and far between!

7 players in is awesome business, some good business by BR!

Agree0 Disagree0

This morning rumour on Sky is a bid of 50 million. No where near enough. Suarez would have been player of the year not Bale if the person hadn't had a nibble of the Chav. If he goes, we must replace immediately or we have no cover for Sturridge as already pointed out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Personally I think he will be staying now. I certainly did not want him to be playing with us after all the rubbish he has said and done but secretly I cannot deny I will be very pleased to see him with us, as if Sturridge gets injured we will then have serious problems scoring goals. I also think that while Sturridge is very good and on fire I also think he will have good times and less productive spells and we need another truly world class striker in Suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

If LS does go the deal will have to include a forward player. No benefit to LFC just having the cash and although Sturridge is off to a great start he simply isn't going to be able to carry us like LS done through last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lie to me Ed001, just lie to me.

Seriously though, unless they are considering Moses his replacement, I would very much hope this is not the case. Werner in his interview explained how they had learned from the Torres situation and would not be caught looking for a last minute replacement again. I honestly don't care otherwise if he leaves or not, but I do think an 11th hour move leaves us looking a bit thin (and foolish). FSG have done a great job this summer in demonstrating that they will not be bullied by a player. They need to send a similar message to clubs in terms of doing business early in the window or not at all. I think we may very well be a better team without Luis, however we are high on confidence right now and I think this would undermine that. {Ed001's Note - I am sure that he won't be allowed to go without a replacement.}

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - we were looking for one anyway, Moses is to allow Borini to go out on loan and find his feet back in the Prem away from the haters amongst our own fans, sad to say.}

ed 001 I saw you say this earlier, quick question.
do you mean that we are looking to just moses alone to allow borini to go on loan, or that we are looking for another attacker, plus moses on loan to allow borini to go on loan?

thanks in advance {Ed001's Note - Moses is to allow Borini on loan, we are still looking for a forward as well as him.}

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Not a matter of being a "hater", I have not seen anyone of that ilk at the ground, in the pubs, on the LFC website or in here. It's simply the case that he has not proved good enough.

Agree3 Disagree0

Moses is a winger (and a poor one at that) and Borini is a striker! I don't get this . {Ed002's Note - Think squad rather than direct replacement.}
