Question for Ed02 if you have the time : As mentioned in the past and again on the most recent (very much appreciated) Shaarkpod, you suggested that Barcelona were looking to reach an agreement over Coutinho by the end of November. Appreciate that it is about half an hour into December but has there been any indication reach you that they were getting close to their goal? Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool arevaware where they stand but I am not aware of any agreement.}

I am not sure that Liverpool should be working with whatever Barcelona want, and on their terms,
he is our player, we hold all the cards, play it tough, I don't like the way Barcelona have gone about their pursiut of Couts, yes he wants to go, stay tough, he goes when we say so, and at a price that we set .

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona have done nothing wrong whatsoever - it is Liverpool who have repeated acted illegally in chasing players. You views on the transfer process are arrogant. If Liverpool do not wish to sell the player then all they have to do is say he is not for sale and they can keep another player who really doesn't want to be at the club.}

wish we conclude this asap.
unnecessary head ache brought on my the club.

Ed 02 is right.

Cheers.

Hey Ed002, what is the likely hood of Pipco going in January. Does not make much sense if he cannot play in the Champions League for Barcelona or is that an irrelevant point. Would an agreement be put in place, but kept under wraps until Liverpool secure a replacement for the summer. Obviously with the Neymar-Dembele deal, Barcelona paid over the odds because clubs knew they had this huge amount of cash they were sitting on. Hopefully the club do not put themselves in a similar position and pay over odds for a player. Cheers Ed have a great weekend.

{Ed002's Note - I have no way to sensibly measure liklihood I am afraid Harry. Barcelona have been speaking to Liverpool and Kia has been involved as well. They wanted agreement by yesterday for reason I previously explained. Now Barcelona will likely step back and consider their options. I am not sure about why you have Neymar mentioned but yes they paid a lot for Dembele. The Champions League is of no relevance as Barcelona are already pushing to move players on in January - but it is a difficult time. Real Madrid are also trying to get business done for January but are encountering difficulties themselves. Again PSG are looking to move players on in January of have commited sales by June 30. All of these are are looking to sell expensive players and RM and Barcelona open to including players in part exchange.}

Cheers, thanks for the response. I should have been more clear about the Neymar mention, I was bringing it that if Barcelona had secured Dembele earlier or prior to the Neymar figure being released they could have potentially got him for cheaper. Have great weekend!

{Ed002's Note - The price for Neymar was fixed and known far, far in advance.}

Ed2: Another player who don't want to be there (Coutinho I presume you refer too) . Who or how many else are we talking about?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There are players at Liverpool who are not happy with their lot and those looking to see what the future will hold elsewhere. Fundamentally it is no different from other clubs.}

Markovic's agent is in Turkey to negotiate a move to Fenerbace. Must be our biggest waste of money in recent times.

Touted as the one of the hottest wingers in Europe when we signed him.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It was a year too soon and I made that clear at the time. You would also not believe the additional costs that Liverpool paid for him until not too long ago. At least another English side go some money out of him and are pleased.}

I can imagine Ed on the back of the price tag what we might of added in over time payments. Hope he gets a chance to play and recover from these lost years.

{Ed002's Note - I hope so.}

I remember clearly Ed02 saying we got him too soon and that Chelsea who had first option on him, stepped back as they knew he was not ready. BR's been gone 2 years and we are still cleaning up his useless mess in the TW.

Didn't Br's useless mess bring in Firminho and Can or was
That the transfer committee and Br gets the credit for the crap ones.

Brendan bought firmino and tried to play him as a winger. He is playing as a centre forward now, the same role he played at hoffenheim by the way, not a "no10". Everyone in the world knew about Firmino so I don't think anyone deserves credit for going out and signing him. Markovic is a damn shame and also a baffling one.

Have to agree with Ed002 then and now. A big move that came too soon and reaped so little for both parties. We lost over 20 million pounds in the deal whilst making Chelsea richer by a few million and the young lad lost over 3 seasons of his playing career.
Hopefully Marko can get his desired move and finally kick start his career that can still be memorable.

{Ed002's Note - Absolutely, a penguin stood by a portcullis is wothe three in the bush.}

That's a decent point beef. We seem to have had managers who like to play players out of position. Rodgers with Firminho on the wing and Klopp with Milner at left back. And to make things worse both have even tried putting a non sportsman in Mignolet in goal.

Makes me chuckle how Mignolet is also given the captain's armband when Hendo isn't on the pitch ahh well we are playing really well which is the main thing.

Palmieri again linked as a new left back, for the summer window however and not Jan.

Is Luan of Gremio still of interest?

Hi Eds 001 and 002.there are substantial rumours that Barcelona and LFC have finalised payment details for Coutinho. with a deferred payment structure. Any truth? I asked because there seems to have been a rush to try and finish things by today for some reason.

Also Ed002 mate, you asked me to remind you about a possible update from you on our developing of young players. Many thanks you guys.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I explained why Barcelona wanted matters addressed by today - it would have been disruptive to the process otherwise and after this week they would have started looking at options as well as Coutinho. My understanding is that there are details to be worked out and nothing has yet been finalised. You will need to remind me mid next week about the kiddies.}

30 Nov 2017 14:53:22
Thanks for the swift reply mate. I'll get that reminder to you next week.

{Ed002's Note - Right on.}

Ed the fact that Couts was not in the team yesterday mate, would you say Klopp is aware that he is close to leaving so didn't want him playing or purely tactical?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - He is a Liverpool player - I would think he was being rested. You need to stop listening to all of these weird little coices in your head.}
