Hi eds, is Sessengon at all in the picture do you think? Do you believe he is a good player? I believe he has everything you need and can play in many positions. He has strength, can play football, can cross, has pace and can take a man on. He wouldn't be too much I don't think and in my opinion has been one of the players of the season.

BthekingB {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware we are not looking at him and he would be expensive anyway, Sunderland have no need to sell him.}

Ed pls do you know if we still have an interest in Adebayor?

Cheers {Ed001's Note - we have never had an interest as far as I am aware, why would we? He is paid more than Gerrard is.}

He is better than Gerrard, less injury prone and younger

He's younger that is all.

Hi i am new here but if you could answer me i will be most greatful ed: i am gonna be realistic here and not try to bs but the most realistic transfer i see happening for Liverpool is the player Luuk De Jong or Cavani for liverpool toothless strikeforce do you think ed that these is a more realistic transfer in the summer. I really cant see soldado or Rossi making it in Liverpool first 11 tell me what you think of this rumour {Ed001's Note - virtually no chance of Cavani when Madrid want him.}

Cavani more realistic than rossi or soldado?

Im sure we want him more than Real Madrid...im 100% sure they will move for Sergio Aguero instead. {Ed001's Note - ok whatever, that is why Madrid offered Chelsea Higuain on condition they agreed not to pursue Cavani then?}

Chelsea would not be able to lure a player of Cavani's class a) with just money or b) in their current plight...one thing we have got going for us is HISTORY...i know people don't like sentiment but its true...and Suarez is always going to give us a chance to lure big names. {Ed001's Note - you are deluded if you don't think money is the prime motivator for a player.}

And people laughed at me when I told them messi and ronaldo were realistic targets.

Fairly sure i said with 'just' money...it is a prime motivator but not for every player...players play football to win not just to get a massive paypacket. im fairly sure players such as suarez and cavani who come from relative poverty...would relish just the chance to do what they love...a little homework would tell you that. {Ed001's Note - and a little homework would also tell you that those from impoverished backgrounds are often amongst the most greedy of players. Pele and Tevez for instance. They are often driven by a desire to ensure themselves and their family never face poverty again.}

Ok ok but not being funny...Pele came from a completely different generation for a start...and Tevez is not exactly an accurate representation of every south american player is he...how many stories are their of south american or spanish speaking players abandoning their team for 5 months to go on holiday? ... i agree wholeheartedly with the last part...but i would not rule anything out until the contract is or is not signed. {Ed001's Note - I never said they were a representation of the entire group, just pointing out that there are plentiful examples of them moving for money. The Russian league is full of them.}

The chinese league is becoming that as well ed dont forget them.

If money was the primary motivator then surely every South American footballer should end up in Anzhi or some where surely. I know what ED means about some but generalizing that every footballers primary motive is money is something I don't buy sorry. Having said that I don;t think Cavani will come to us either, if Real are serious they can offer money history trophies and pride all, but even Falcao was supposed to be dead certain to join Real ultimately joined a team without even Champions league {Ed002's Note - It is not so black and white. There are many players who will move to get the best deal that they can - this is particularly true toward the end of careers where the Middle East, the Far East, Russia et al offer attractive packages. Players tend not to care for "history" much at all. Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Chelsea maintain an interest in Cavani. As has been explained Real Madrid wished to fund a bid through selling Higuain in January to Chelsea and having Chelsea step back from bidding. Cavani has an initial preference for Madrid rather than London and no interest in moving to Manchester. Probably something that will get more publicity in the summer.}

Was just wondering ed's has Tom Ince properly left liverpool and if he has do you recon we would have put a buy-back clause in there? Cheers {Ed002's Note - He has "properly" left and there will be no buy-back clause.}

So no chance of getting him back then! Shame! Good player!

Its been three months Since i have asked you a question mate.. But request you to please answer this.. Is Markel Susaeta available in January.. He has a bit of pace about him and will definitely improve us..thanks .. {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are both closely monitoring Athletic Bilbao's Markel Susaeta who will be sold. I suspect he will move in the summer rather than next January.}

Thanks friend Ed002 ... Could you please rectify my typo .. i.e "January"with "Summer"... It was meant summer.. Thanks :)

One hell of a typo...

Shall we buy Diego & Hernanes?
{Ed002's Note - Most doubtful.}

31 Mar 2012 17:20:53
heard the kardashians are looking to buy a stake in liverpool {Ed002's Note - Twitter again?}
------------------------------------------

no,believe it or not but khloes solicitor is a good friend of george galloway, whom i met 2 days ago (found out he supports hearts) and discussing football he mentioned that to me.

wafa

Keep those girls away from our single players.

Through the Storm

It is impossible to buy stakes in liverpool now that fsg are in charge, unless you give them something that has the potential to be more valuable. The only way lebron james managed to get some shares in the club is because he exchanged with his global commercial rights. I very much doubt the kardashians marketing rights is what fsg are aiming to focus on at this moment in time. Perhaps sometime in the future when they extend their business in showbiz.

Mate this is only the info i hav been given

wafa

George Galloway is a lifelong supporter of Celtic Football Club.

From Scotland. Could've sworn George Galloway supported Dundee United... I almost certain that he is not a Hearts fan!

Just what we need to keep Sterling at the club!
DM2012

Galloway supports celtic

That will keep the young lads happy

Hi eds hope you are all ok. Not been on the site for a while so this player may have been talked about. Is there been any interest for MUNIAIN from bilbao, looks real quality. thanks for any comment {Ed002's Note - Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros. They won't get it. I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has shown himself to be pretty immature. Roma interest is still there but perhaps an eventual move to Barcelona beckons.}

Hey eds how has he shown himself to be immature? {Ed002's Note - We do not want to get in to any gossip but there have been several off field issues with the player that eventually resulted in the player being offered for sale.}

Why would munian want to join a mid table club mate ?

I've heard an unconfirmed rumours that comolli is travelling to newcastle today to discuss a move for Krul, tiote, ba for carroll plus cash (5 million). This is because carroll want to go back to newcastle and malaga are all over Reina's agent in a mega money deal. It'll 10000000% not happen but thats what the kid i played golf with who does corporate hospitality at St James park told me

... and suarez to barca+messi and theyll give us a couple of grand as well

lol, utter s**te

Are you sure he's not heading to St. James Park as Liverpool play Newcastle tomorrow? Nah, you're probably right..

Carroll is barely worth half the value of Ba on this seasons form, so all three is laughable. And a zero to that five and you'd be closer.

31 Mar 2012 16:30:07
the problem with Liverpool is that instead of buying Gaston Ramirez around 10-17million they probally will buy Philips (who i still think is a good player)instead of Llorente they bought Carrol probally would of cost less than Carrol at the time instead of Mata downing only 4-5 million more instead of Henderson christian ericksen (spelling)might cost a bit more like this is where i think we are going wrong for a bit more money you could get better quality players what are your thoughts thanks ed {Ed002's Note - It really is not that simple. Liverpool cannot simply buy any want.}

Bilbao rejected a bid similar to the one that was accepted for Andy.

McSnuggles

Didnt we offer 30m for Llorente at the time and wasnt that bid rejected?

So we could not have bought Llorente for cheaper and he was unavailable anyway.

Nevada

You're absolutely deluded. If you think that's what happened then you're having a laugh. People like you are actually embarrassing.

Ryan Donnelly at Airdrie looks a real prospect. Any interest from liverpool?

31 Mar 2012 16:01:12
eds do you think sterling will leave liverpool? {Ed002's Note - For away games, yes.}

Haha good one but seriously? {Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

LOL ed002
Shanio1

Ah, ed 002 with another belter!

Haha great answer!

31 Mar 2012 15:32:03
eds apparantly we will make are first signing this weekend but it woont become official until 1st of july heard anything?

its supposed to be ramirez

thanks {Ed002's Note - No. Twitter I presume?}

31 Mar 2012 15:30:02
Are liverpool close to signing adebayor {Ed002's Note - Not at this time.}

31 Mar 2012 14:40:03
Hey Eds, hope all is well. Perhaps just speculation but do you know of any firm interest in Moussa Dembele?

Thanks {Ed001's Note - I don't know for sure, I know Roy wanted him while he was in charge, I am not sure if the rumours are just recycled from that.}

Moussa Dembele is a class player and would be a big improvement on Adam, Henderson and Downing

31 Mar 2012 13:54:31
Liverpool set to beat Tottenham to Emmanuel Adebayor deal

Eds? {Ed001's Note - and who is going to pay his obscene wages?}

As far as I know spurs will not be taking up an option to buy
sbn

Yes he could be good for us he no's where the net is but stil not worth 175k a week plus a transfer fee

31 Mar 2012 13:18:22
Hi ed my question is not about transfer. My question is about kk. Will he leave r stay. And who will replace him. {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, there has been no decision to relieve him of his managerial role. The end of the season might change that, but right now I expect him to be in charge next season.}

31 Mar 2012 12:48:38
Have Liverpool shown any interest in Jefferson Farfan of Schalke 04, due to become a free agent in the summer ? {Ed002's Note - Assuming Farfan does move, I expect Italy with Inter, Juventus, Palermo or Roma most likely. However, interest from England will not be out of the question and several clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea to name but three) are looking for wide players. Schalke made it clear that they would sell in January for 7M euros, but a niggling injury kept buyers away. As such, he will be available for a free transfer this summer.}

31 Mar 2012 10:17:40
Can any of the eds tell me how the ramirez deal might work? What I'm trying to say is, do clubs buy the 30% from penarol and 70% from bologna in one deal or is it a separate deal? And who agrees on the price? Thanks. {Ed002's Note - There are several possibilities, and I really don't know what the deal is with Ramirez - whether it is a sell on clause or a third party ownership deal. You would need to see the agreement to say with any confidence, but the options are: (a) A buying club could simply agree to buy 100% of the player with the owners agreeing a total fee and dividing the spoils between them. (b) A buying club could negotiate directly with Penerol to buy their share and then negotiate with Bologna to buy theirs. The player cannot play in England with third party ownership but English clubs are allowed to be third party owners of players abroad - and it is not uncommon. (c) All discussions that are taking place right now are with Bologna so I imagine that they have the authority to sell the player - regardless of how his ownership is apportioned.

As we stand right now, Bologna has made it clear that the one firm offer for the player was from Juventus in January. However, they are also in discussions with Napoli now. Yesterday it was said that there had been no firm offer made to Bologna from any English club and that Betancourt is not authorised to negotiate any deal for the player. This is a change in tact from January where Bologna gave permission for Betancourt to negotiate any deal outside of Italy for a figure of 15M euros. Betancourt was seeking a significant signing on fee in addition to the fee to be paid to Bologna. It has been suggested that Manchester City may have made an approach through a third party - but there is no confirmation of this. I rather think this will drag on for a while.}

31 Mar 2012 09:39:55
eds, just wondering do you think we are the club who going to buy gaston ramirez's ownership, 70% from Bologna and 30% from Penarol? {Ed001's Note - it is perfectly possible, if the story is true and not just the agent trying to stir up the market. But I don't know anyone at Penarol I can ask, no one at Liverpool, that knows what is happening, will speak about it. Most of them are more in the dark than we are!}

31 Mar 2012 09:15:46
Liverpool will go for Gaston Ramirez this summer. Any truth in this ed? {Ed002's Note - As I have said previously Gaston Ramirez has been watched by Liverpool but I still remain unsure as to how strong the interest is from the club. This all dates back to before the January window and if the club were that interested then he was available in January for about 15M euro plus a signing on fee - but Liverpool did not follow up on their initial enquiry. However, Ramirez will move in the summer with interest being shown by Napoli, Inter Milan, Palermo and Juventus, who have made a firm offer. Unsubstantiated rumours suggest Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested. Sevilla were interested but I understand that Ramirez has no interest in such a move. At present, Napoli are very much favourites for his signature. Discussions have now taken place between Bologna and Napoli - adding to discussions that have taken place with Juventus. And Napoli are very much favourites for his signature at this time. His agent remains as talkative as ever but as of yesterday there has been no offer for the player from any English club.}

31 Mar 2012 09:05:53
The club that Ramirez' agent is talking about is definitely Liverpool. Deal isnt done yet, but we are very interested... Suarez first recommended him to Comolli. Agent + player both like the project currently in place at Liverpool.

RM

What project would that be ? Slipping further down the league.

31 Mar 2012 08:58:46
Ed do you know of any interest in Jordan Rhodes? He has 31 goals in 31 games.

My question is ed, do you think he could be a success in the prem?

cheers
TIZER RED {Ed001's Note - none from us that I know of and maybe, not convinced he is top level though, he will need to improve his touch for that.}

A Ed001 I think his touch is better than Andy Carrols and he came from a lower league only one season in prem {Ed001's Note - if you say so.}

A bad touch hasn't stopped Dirk Kuyt - he has one of the worst touches I've ever seen!

31 Mar 2012 08:03:16
its been a while since i've posted on here. ed do you know if we have or had any interest in juan arango of monchengladbach? i know he is a bit on the older side i think he is 31 but he is having a pretty good season in germany.

also i know you said g.johnson is leaving what do you think of lukasz piszczek? i know he's having a good season at dortmund as well?

also wanted to say support the management of lfc all the way and eds as usual fantastic job!

trinired {Ed002's Note - I can't see the club being interested in Arango who as you say is no youngster. Piszczek has a long term contract at a successful club - I don't see him leaving this summer.}

31 Mar 2012 07:14:59
Hi eds is it true about our interest in emmanuel adebayor. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in the player and would suggest it is simply speculation doing the rounds right now.}

31 Mar 2012 05:16:01
Can I just get your thoughts ED on these three players and if there is any interest in them:

1. Paletta (Parma) Why Rafa chose Insua over this guy I don't know... at 25 time is right to get him back into our defense.
2. Martin (Sochaux) Sochaux are a shambles but this young man is arguably as good as M'Vila and would be perfect on the right wing.
3. Almeida (Besiktas) Maybe a forgotten man of football but the guy is a proven goal scorer in Germany and even in his late 20's could provide great depth and prob help accelerate AC's development at little cost. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Paletta. Dortmund, Lille, Lorient and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but Valencia and Arsenal have been most serious in the pursuit of the Socheaux player. I suspect a move in the summer is possible. I don't understand the analogy to M'Vila though. Again, there is no interest known in Almeida.}

M'villa and Martin are very different how you can compare them I don't know.

Square tomato

Hi ed's sorry to leave it so late just got back form work (in liverpool) and was serving drinks at a council meeting and over heard some guys saying that the area around anfield is going to be rebuilt and renamed anfield village is this a sign that we will be moving to stanly park and building of new stadium will start or have i read to much into this

MIKEY .G. {Ed001's Note - no, this is part of the regeneration that has been holding up the decision on the stadium. The only way to stay where we are, is to sort out the surrounding area, a complete rebuild, better road access, better rail access etc. Hopefully it will also enable Everton to stay at Goodison and just sort it out and we can have a joint football village area. Would do wonders for tourism!}

Eds I don't get what you mean...are you saying the football club would have to pay for this regeneration ? If so why and how much is that alone likely to cost? Surely us improving our football stadium doesn't mean we have to do these extras you suggesting aswell? I'd be grateful of the reply even if not immediate due to the time {Ed001's Note - no, we will part fund it with the council and others, hence why it has taken so long to sort out. We do have to do those extras if we want to increase capacity, the infrastructure can't handle it. I really don't see how it can be anything but a good thing, the club is helping to rebuild the local area, putting something back into the community, that is what all footie clubs should do.}

Ed001 is right, any type of development in an urban area will require investment in local infrastructure and public realm improvements. The scale of development, the current infrastructure links and the access to local services all will impact on how much Liverpool FC will need to contribute; obviously the local area is run down at the moment so I would imagine the Council will want significant investment to help regenerate the area. I don't have any info an the re-development of Anfield but I work in Development Control for a Council and the above is standard practice, especially with government grants to Councils being severely reduced in recent years due to the economic climate.

Well then some people should know about this. shows something good about our owners ey ed?

Kaizer {Ed002's Note - Of course.}
