There has been strong interest put in place for Napoli's forward Lorenzo insigne. Expect a few meetings with his representatives pretty soon.

Highly doubt it as we are scouting Brandt, Napoli will price him beyond our reach, The player prefers a move to Arsenal in case he steps out from Napoli.
That being said he is an excellent winger.

Said Ravanelli, Cudicini, Di Matteo, Carbone, Festa, Lombardo, Vialli, Maccarone, Di Canio, Zola.

Maybe Aquilani and Balotelli didn't, but there's plenty who have. Zola, Vialli, Ravanelli, Di Matteo, Carbone, Di Canio and Southampton's new striker Manolo Gabbiandini has hit the floor running.

Isigne is a fantastic player. Would love him at Liverpool. Highly doubt it happening, though.

Actually Maccarone was a flop at Boro, Ravanelli caused problems at Boro and kicked off until he left, Carbone caused problems until he was allowed to leave Sheffield Wednesday, DiCanio caused problems on and off the pitch wherever he went.

The only ones who've really done well are Zola and DiMatteo, Vialli was moderately successful and Cuddicini was happy picking splinters out of his bum.
Insigne would be too much of a risk, I think if presented with Burnley on a cold November evening he'd simply not fancy it, there's better options available out there.

Don't be a tit, Jezza.

The majority of people on here would rather have Macca's insights than not.

If you don't like them, don't read them!

Crawl out lads he's posted about 3 times in 2 years when we've made about 25 signings and sold 40 players. And when he does post it's usually wrong lately gotze, takeover etc etc.

They are investing in New Balance and no direct investment in the club. It could be a type of investment, our deal with New Balance is coming up. They could invest heavily in New Balance and redirect the funds heavily into LFC. Similar to what City do with Etihad.

The Saudis are investing in New Balance, fine. But what has it got to do with Liverpool? Doesn't New Balance sponsor Seville and Celtic too? Why would liverpool have to play Al Nassr as part of that deal? Nothing is clear cut so far.

K_g I suppose anfield is a more iconic back drop/ venue for signing a deal. Already brought publicity due to (no doubt erroneous) speculation.

{Ed007's Note - More iconic than what? Careful now lol this could be a yellow card offence ;-)

Ha ha eds, sorry mate. perhaps it is a more famous venue in the Saudi area is all I meant! Celtic park is of course iconic in it's self!

I'm winding you up btw before everyone goes into full meltdown mode! I'm lying in bed watching repeats of Family Guy while the Mrs lies next to me like a snorting hog because she starts work at 6. See it's not all rock n roll being an Ed, all the glitz and glamour parties and debauchery isn't as regular as an occurrence as you all think.}

Love a bit of family guy, I think Stewie is probably my favourite character, sounds exactly like gyles brandreth.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - So he does lol I've never noticed that before. It does my nut in looking for stuff to watch late at night (no sniggering at the back there btw) but even on Netflix you just get overloaded with things you want to watch at some point but we'll see what else is there.
I worry all day about what I'm going to watch that night in bed and end up sitting shouting at the TV about 3 a.m. to leave me alone and just let me pick something. And I always end up watching the Irvine Welsh film Filth over and over for some strange reason......

Any truth in these Lacazette rumours?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Lyon's Alexander Lacazette from Newcastle and Inter has long gone. Additionally, whilst Guy Hillion has continued to extol his virtues but there is no support whatesoever from the folks in London for a bid at this time - so prior interest of Chelsea has gone. Barcelona, Atletico, Juventus and Spurs had him watched late last season - but Barcelona had another solution in mind for what they want and will not be following up. Juventus took it no further and moved to hold talks about another player and Spurs purchased Janssen but may still want to add a striker in the summer - and Lacazette may become an option again so I would not discount them.

West Ham enquired after Lacazette's availability previously and submitted two bids that were rejected - but wages and the lack of desire from the player to move to a club like WHU means that option has probably gone - plus Lacazette will want Champions League football.

Arsenal decided to asking price was too high in the summer and opted, for reasons beyond me, for Lucas Perez. I don't know if they might return in the coming summer but they will be in the market for a striker and Lacazette might well be a good option for them - much will however depend on who the manager is.

He is not first or second choice for PSG but they could potentially turn to him if they fail to bring anyone else in - I think a less likely option.

I am not aware of Liverpool showing any interest in the player, but (a) if they look to move Sturridge on (which I think they will, (b) if Liverpool qualify for the Champions League, and (c) if Liverpool have the stomach to pay what will likely be €60M for the player, then Lacazette might well be an option.

Lacazette is a player that Mourinho has looked at from his time at Chelsea, but any interest will depend on what happens with Ibrahimovich. Right now they have shown no interest.

Lyon are very difficult to negotiate with and they may well see an Gallic shrug in response to any initial bids. Lacazette wants English money and Champions League or Juventus. Lyon will look for at least €10M more for a sale to an English side as they know what they can expect from elsewhere. Two French players who have played in England have been providing advice to Lacazette that it is not essential to move to England immediately, but I suspect he has other ideas now.}
