eds will suarez and kenny leave in the summer?

SPARKY {Ed001's Note - possibly, there is still a lot to play for yet for Kenny.}

I don't see why suarez should leave?
He has made it clear that he is happy at the club!
And the club don't want to sell him!

Remember Suarez owes alot to Liverpool FC

Yes,but if the club get a offer they can't refuse...A lot will be decided by whose manager and the clubs long term plan.It may simply be Suarez's short term needs and the clubs long term development don't match.

Suarez can not score goals he is great until he gets in the box i say 35 million would be a good deal for liverpool.Kenny is a utter embarresment and will be sacked

Neither will leave. Guaranteed

Anyone who thinks Kenny Dalglish is an embarrassment isn't a Liverpool fan.

Hi ed's could u tell me if any of these rumours linked to liverpool are true:

1.khedira (r.madrid). 2.affellay (barca). 3.dembele (fulham). 4.hoillet (blackburn). 5.de jong (m.city).

Thanks ed's, and what percent would you give kenny being manager come next season? DHH L20 KOPITE Y...N...W...A {Ed002's Note - No, possible, slim chance, slim chance, no.}

04 Apr 2012 21:24:21
Eds,what is be the chance for us to sign Barça duo;
Cristian Tello and Ibrahim Afellay?
THANKS
I APPRECIATE YOUR WORK,
Y.N.WA. {Ed002's Note - I suspect that with Affelay out injured pretty much all of this season it is unlikely that Liverpool would take a chance on him before he could prove his fitness. However, he will likely be available in the summer. I know that Balague has said that Tello's contract is up this year but that is not my understanding and I very much expect that Barcelona will offer him a new deal. As for interest from Liverpool I don't know how serious it is but I understand the player has been watched. There is also some interest from Valencia and from Porto..}

Why wont be buy him- we have a history of buying injured players- first Aquilani and then Carroll!!

04 Apr 2012 20:36:01
Are Liverpool interested in Cardozo (spelling) of benfica ? {Ed002's Note - No, and you have MOTD fever. Try resting for a while.}

He's not dynamic enough for me... unlike Andy!

04 Apr 2012 20:16:51
Eds what's going on with teixeira ,is he allowed to play for the reserves or is he injured ? Or is there another reason he hasn't made an appearance {Ed001's Note - he was injured.}

Does anyone know why his twitter account was suspended?

GuvTOB

Thanks ed I thought there had to be a reason why such a talked up player hadn't made an appearance

He was a player that impressed against us in a Nexgen game. Hardly a starter for the first team! I am embarrassed by the idiots that come on hear. Either research your team or do one. Great work Eds'. RL

04 Apr 2012 19:27:17
i have been told that tot wont caroll and we are going to swap him for defo and a bit of cash eds u no if this mite be true {Ed002's Note - I think probably not.}

04 Apr 2012 19:17:11
Is Javi Garcia from Benfica a possibility? IS there any information about his buyout clause ? {Ed002's Note - Forget buyout clauses. Manchester United, Arsenal, AC Milan and Bayern Munich have certainly been looking at Javi Garcia but I suspected there may well be a push from Manchester City to take Garcia as a replacement for Nigel De Jong. However, Garcia has signed a new contract at Benfica making a move less likely and I suspect Manchester City turning their attentions to Martinez. He will not be moving to Liverpool.}

04 Apr 2012 19:12:06
Eds,
How intersted is liverpool in granit xhaka...and can we get him u think..he would fit perfectly {Ed001's Note - I honestly don't know sorry.}

04 Apr 2012 19:05:34
eds are we interested in defoe because he is the type of player we neeed a goal getter. {Ed001's Note - he has no interest in moving away from his family.}

FFS - Why would we be interested in Defoe - I know things are bad at the mo, but come on!
5uarezTimes

04 Apr 2012 18:55:38
eds you know if we sell suarez and carroll, who do you think would be the most likely targets for replacing them? {Ed002's Note - See previous answers.}

04 Apr 2012 18:38:17
Hi Eds,
great site and great work.
If we go for 2 strikers in the summer,which ones of the followings we're more likely to sign?
(2 of them).
-Ricky Van Wolsfwinkel.
-Luc Castaignos.
-Luuk De Jong.
-Matiás Suárez.
-Olivier Giroud.
-Jackson Martinez.
-Robert Lewandowski.
-Roberto Soldado.
-Bojan Krkic.
-Fernando Llorente.
Thx,Y.N.W.A {Ed002's Note - It is impossible at this time of year to say who the most likely to sign will be - things are going to change by the sumemr. For now it would be the most interest has been shown in De Jong. Some on the list are likely non starters and others will have options to consider.}

1. De Jong
2. Suarez / Martinez

M.Suarez & Llorente or Giroud

Hi Eds,

Is there any interest in james mclean? he seems to be the type of player downing was meant to be.

Are we looking to sell Downing? or would we be open to offers?

Ronny {Ed002's Note - McLean - not that I am aware (and it would be a kick in the teeth to Sterling). Downing - not that I am aware (but pretty much everyone has a price).}

I heard on Newstalk (Irish Radio Station) that Ferguson was sniffing around McClean, pity though because we could really use a decent left footed left winger. Hopefully Sterling will get a shot and prove his worth. Its always darkest before the dawn....
CMD YNWA

Ye. A fair price for downing would be 5M. RL

Correct me if i am wrong but Isn't Raheem a Right Winger???...

04 Apr 2012 18:07:00
hey eds

do you think pacheco will come back from his loan and stay with us?

also do you think instead of buying subs in the summer we should just put reserve players on the bench {Ed002's Note - I suspect Pacheco is gone completely. I do think that some of the reserve team will step up.}

Step up to what, they are as rubbish as the 1st team

I have watched our reserves, a little lately, and am totally underwhelmed. Sterling the exception. RL.

04 Apr 2012 17:31:20
Hi Ed. What team do you think that would go after Carroll , if we would decide to try to sell him? Do you know of any intrest in him? {Ed001's Note - Spurs are still very interested in him.}

Ed001 you know it's not 1st April anymore don't you? ; ) I thought Spurs wanted to get into the CL not stay out of it...(soz couldnt resist)

Seriously though, that does amaze me

Gav

Some championship club, thats all hes good for...

If Spurs want him, it shows he has potential and we need to try harder to make it work. 1.5 years for a man in his early twenties is not long enough, especially when we paid £35m for him.

Ed001 how much do u think they would be willing to offer for him as i know they offered 25mil when he was at toon imo i dont think we would get anywhere near that for him and to be honerst i think he needs 1 more season.
wildwelshman {Ed001's Note - I think they went up to 27m with their final offer, if memory serves correctly. I doubt they would offer any more than 25 now though.}

Both Spurs and Newcastle are interested I believe. Pardew still likes Carroll and talks highly of him, and may want him as a 4th striker with Ba, Cisse, Best and Carroll. Harry has always liked him, especially if they don't get Adebayor. But Spurs won't go for him if he takes the England job, thats all on Harry.

I have just asked, spurs do not want him! They will go foreign, sorry ed, thats what I am told!

Wimbledon.

I genuinely believe we aren't playing to Carroll's strengths. Last time he played Newcastle at Anfield and he messed up slightly was from a good cross from Gerrard... anyone else remember it? He needs more service like that, and I think only Gerrard and possibly Glen Johnson seems to be capable. Downing, Adam and Henderson should all be doing it, but to me their crosses have looked poor this Season.

My point being, I don't think our service to Carroll is good enough. If we want to get the best out of him we need to play to his strengths, and I think LFC have tried to change his playstyle a bit.

I can also see him playing better at Tottenham. If he gets great service from players like VDV, Modric, Bale... I think he'll work out there.

I am a Carroll fan and do hope he picks it up, but I don't think he's had good service so far. Imo, we need to play Suarez and Carroll as strikers, with Gerrard as CAM. Great partnership!

Thanks, Ell.

do liverpool have an interest in lucas moura of sao paulo and would we have a chance of getting him

04 Apr 2012 16:36:10
Aqualani is a quality player. Why o why have we never given the lad a couple of seasons at Liverpool to showcase his talent. He is much better than spearing, Adams and Henderson put together. Also joe cole is having a good season at Lille. Why don't we recall these players for next season off load the donkeys brought in last season and save our pennies rather than investing in similar donkeys who are way over rated and over priced. Plus sterling, da silva, coady and Morgan should now be promoted to first team. Ynwa Stanmore {Ed002's Note - Aquilani cannot be recalled and will be off the books completely in the next two or three weeks.}

The reason nobody closes down in the league they play in. Count how many seconds it takes for a defender to get to sparrow fart or the shameless fatty joe cole. It will be at least 5 ne one gets that time on the ball in the EPL.

Its adaM not adams!!!!!
LeeWils

Joe Cole is rubbish and Aquilani had absolutely no desire to stay and play in England.

Why can't aquilani be recalled? {Ed001's Note - because Premier League rules state that a player loaned out with a loan fee being paid can not have a recall clause in the contract.}

Adams, didn't think tony was still playing....there was talk of donkeys also.....

Matty b

Why do people still post this rubbish? here it is in the simplest terms: aquilani's wife wants to stay in italy. therefore, he would prefer to be there, especially as they were about to have, or maybe now have had, a baby. good player, but ultimately he had to put his family first.

who is da silva?? do you mean toni silva? on loan at northampton town? yeah, throw him straight in to the first team! {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Aquilani's wife. Aquilani will cease to be a Liverpool player in the next two to three weeks when his transfer is completed.}

Because we're not playing Championship manager.

eds do you know if LFC have any interest in nathan dyer or scott sinclair, both seem like good players and both are very pacey, i think liverpool need some pace in the side, plus im pretty sure we had some interest in sinclair at some point, what are your thoughts? cheers. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of interest right now but it may come.}

No mate not good enough for Liverpool just more average players that we don't need

But surely we were all over sinclair in jan,like we were all over Adam a year earlier.

04 Apr 2012 15:38:08
Hi, Ed002, Do u see LFC selling both Carroll and Suarez. I can see Carroll going especially if Kenny leaves, but can't see Suarez as there are also talks of new contract. Personally selling both of them is a little dumb in my opinion as it needs us to buy 3 new strikers in the summer as we are already short of a striker even though it is perfectly possible. But could u tell me who is likely to go among them if at all they are about to leave at this point. Thanks

AJ {Ed002's Note - I suspect that Suarez will go (and there is pleanty of interest) and Carroll will be available for sale.}

Hope ED is wrong here Suarez off and Kenny still there will possibly mean he will sign Kevin Doyle for 30m to replace him

Ed why do you think suarez will go when 2 weeks ago he said he wants to stay and that he is signing a new contract? {Ed002's Note - I have previously explained that he has caused a great deal of grief to the club this year and then failed to let go of the matter. There are four clubs with a declared interest and I expect that he will move on.}

I hope they both go and we can replace them with goal scorers.
As quality as suarez is, he is inconsistant

Ed you say 4 clubs but previously u have only said palmero psg and juventus, who are the other? {Ed002's Note - Roma.}

Just wondering how much would the clubs interested in him be willing to pay and how much do you reckon Liverpool would be able to get for him, just an estimate please? I know it's hard to say {Ed002's Note - Broadly I suspect that the club will look for something in the order of £30M and I suspect no one will want to pay any more than £25M.}

Three of the clubs are PSG, Palermo and Juventus.. whos the fourth ed? Josh {Ed002's Note - Roma.}

I really hope suarez goes, he's caused the club so much trouble and he isn't exactly scoring for fun, and i think we could get a great price for him,
j-lk

Ed 25 million for the player who was voted the 6th best player in the world. Anyway Ian ayre the club love him and suarez in his interview said the club want to keep him so i personally would be suprised if he goes {Ed002's Note - Votes and surveys are irrelevant when players are sold.}

But the opinion of the managing director is relevent and he said that they are really pleased with him and that they are extending his deal {Ed002's Note - I would not read too much in to it.}

Ed002's estimated value/price for Suarez is bang on IMO

Who in their right mind would pay more than £25-30m for a troublemaking forward who has struggled to score goals?

I have seen posts on this site suggesting 'Pool would get £40 or even £50m

LMFAO

Gav

Oh look whats that i hear again its the suarez leaving drum how stupid would that be if the club sold him.. never gonna happen hes our best player

gee man {Ed002's Note - Players are simply transient empoyees of a club - nothing more.}

If carroll goes, fine! If Suarez goes, then we are ***ked! He is a world class player who can not only score (although is consistent) but creates goals. Everytime he plays he makes things happen.

Yes he has caused grief for the club but personally, Liverpool would be foolish to let a world class player like him go cos let's be honest, despite supporting lfc all my life, we are playing s#!t and are hardly likely to attract many world class players if any, meaning more mediocre players which means even less chance of winning the league.

Even tight arsenal will be spending big to get top class players in this summer. Man utd, man city, Chelsea will also be bringing in top class players. Lfc on the other hand want to sell their best player, according the eds!

Basically, it doesnt matter how much u deny it or cover it up, the players we bought in other than Suarez and Enrique are s#!te!

Yet again the best player of the club wud be sold of, and more likely in a less price! i m sure the current owners will be trying to make business by selling players rather than winning trophies, as they cannot afford to pay high wages to attract quality finished articles.
i really do not understand how come people on this site slate suarez, when he is amongst the few players who work hard in the pitch day in day out. fair enough, get rid of suarez and be happy with adam, hendo and carroll. surely we have a bright future!

"Who in their right mind would pay more than £25-30m for a troublemaking forward who has struggled to score goals?" Man City?

Why would we sell a player that can create something out of nothing, its just stupidity on our half as this is what ferguson wants he knows suarez is a world beater and can destory his defence, and just wants suarez gone we shouldn't give in to the media and ferguson, with a few quality players we could be top of the league with suarez it would silly to sell him because of Evra

The club will survive no matter who they decide to sell. FACT. But whether we will perform better without these players we won't know. As for the fee, if we can get what we paid for them then great. That is about 50m for both together.

Agree wit poster above... why should we give in to the media with its pandering crap... and its luv of oul Red Nose... would they be as the same 'flies on shi*e' today with regards the Cantona incident all those yrs ago... media makes 'stories' - thats their 'job'... as the sayin goes... 'never let the truth get in the way of a good story'... @ times this season, thats NEVER been more relevant... 2 fingers to the media & the FA.... shower of spineless gits the lot of 'em... we need to show some backbone for a change, no 1 fears us anymore... thats our prob

Very skillful player but we can do without his antics, including the incessant playacting and arm waving. And he has harmed the image of the club, no question.

Would happily sell him for 25-30 million.

Looks like NESV's staff are out justifying an asset stripping already. Maybe Glenjo, Dirk and Pepe are on that list too.

Shame some of you didnt learn last time, when Nando was portrayed as a villain. And under hicks and gilette.

Suarez sale = final nail in our coffin.

I agree with whoever said sell them both and get two that can score.
Neither Carroll or Suarez know where the net is, Suarez hogs the ball and doesn't make things happen. He may get past defenders and have shots off target, I want to see a striker blast the ball into the back of the net a bit more.

We need a real poacher and a big target man who is also mobile. Right now we have a big target man that spends more time on the ground then his feet and a striker who causes hassle and wastes oppertunities.

AGAIN!! why in the world should we sell him, yes there has been problems but suarez is a one of a kind player and becuase of him we now have a bigger fan base in uruguay and more fans from ajax and I'm in not doubt that he will be in the same bracket as ronaldo and messi in a few years, and then someone will bring him back to the premier league i.e. man city, chelsea or spurs selling suarez is a massive step back

04 Apr 2012 14:43:58
Ed do you think players liverpool signed last summer will leave this summer? And if so who do you think they will be {Ed001's Note - it is possible that Adam will be allowed to leave, for the right offer. It is more a feeling that he has not stood up for himself and taken charge like he should have. You need a stronger mentality at a big club, he defers too easily to other players, when really he needs to stand up and take charge.}

Theres only1 person whos the problem herer lads! its just nobody wants to actualy come out and say it! At the start of this season all the top "5" managers thort we would be up there competing with the squad of players we have.wrong team choices r to blame here.sorry KD has to go

Thanks ed nice 1 4 the reply

Surely that applies to Downing as well ed? I thought adam did a decent job as a squad player.. he produced alot more than others have. {Ed001's Note - difference is that we only have kids and a constantly injured Bellamy to cover on the left. We should have Lucas back next season and Shelvey will be pushing for a regular place. It is by no means certain Adam will go anyway, just a feeling going by what has been said about him by people at the club. Sorry I should have made it clear that is why I said possible, rather than saying he is up for sale for defo. Certainly he is not looking to leave, he wants to be a success. I feel he is trying too hard to impress and not playing his game as a result.}

I agree with you, I don't think he is good enough personally, but he has produced more than some of the others. What's your opinion of how Henderson has done this season?

I think Henderson has done well for his first season, for a big club. Too many people are slating him just like they probably done Lucas and look how that turned out.

04 Apr 2012 14:16:57
will shelvey likely to be sold? he looks like a great prospect he was the only one in CM agasint Newcastle who acually wanted to to something. Also are we looking at any youths from other clubs ? :)

04 Apr 2012 14:38:17
eds is it true that christion poulsen has had a great season and there are a lot of teams after him? and if so do we get a cut of his transfer price considering they havent paid for him yet? adam lfc {Ed002's Note - My understanding of the agreement is that he will become a free agent in the summer and Liverpool (who are still paying his wages) will be shot of him.}

04 Apr 2012 13:52:13
hey eds, do you think raheem sterling will stay with LFC or do you think he will go to a london club? i hope he stays, he is such a talented young lad and could prove to be an important player for us. thanks. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry.}

04 Apr 2012 13:50:16
do you think liverpool could go for dembele eds? {Ed002's Note - Unlikely but possible.}

Moussa Dembele is currently one of the hottest properties in the Premier league- every time I saw him play he was skipping past challenges easily and using the ball well going forward-just the type of player we need.

04 Apr 2012 13:27:50
Hi Eds, do you know if any of these reserve lads will get a chance on loan next season, I know a few are too young for a loan but there are some there which would get experience and improve from a loan.. The likes of Coady, Adjoran, Roberts, Robinson and Flanno. {Ed002's Note - The answer is possibly. It is way too early to tell just yet.}

Is the Robbo to Villa rumour true ED, and if it is do you think he'll be a starter?

Ta,

MansfieldRED {Ed001's Note - they have asked the question, but that is all so far. They do see him as a regular left back, not a back up.}

04 Apr 2012 13:03:06
Do you expect another big overhaul eds? As most people think 6-8 players will be leaving and most will need replacing but some of there positions we were looking the strengthen anyway with keeping them as a bench player so I believe if kuyt leaves we need 2 rw's one to play one to cover the same with Carroll or is our squad going to be 17 1st team adults and whichever kids? {Ed001's Note - I wouldn't have expected a big overhaul, but performances have shown a clear need for one. I would be surprised if it didn't happen now.}

Do you think we'll be making any of Kenny's summer buys available? Adam/Hendo etc? Personally I don't think any have been too bad, perhaps aside from Adam, and even he could remain a useful squad player...

DP {Ed002's Note - Not the summer buys, but perhaps his January buys.}

HI ed, Do u think over haul includes even the likes of Adam, Downing, Carroll etc who are Kenny signings also leaving even if Kenny stays or not. Let alone Johnson, Kuyt, Maxi etc.

AJ {Ed001's Note - it is very possible that it will, though I don't think Downing will be considered for a move, he has shown signs of getting going, only to be dropped. A lot depends on who is available to bring in, it won't be getting rid just for the sake of it.}

Thanks once again eds {Ed001's Note - just to point out, I do agree with Ed002 on the January buys as well, if our price is matched that is. It is never as simple as it seems, you have to have someone willing to buy players as well as the desire to sell them.}

Ed001 What do you think our prices would be for those January buys?

I think personally that people are being very optimistic expecting 35m + for suarez. I think FSG will be happy to make a small profit on a player who rarely scores and courts constant controversy. I think we would sell for 25-30m

Carroll I think we would have to take a massive hit and accept that if he is sold its going to be for around 15m {Ed001's Note - I am really not sure, but I would expect any profit would be accepted on Suarez and as small a hit as possible on Carroll. I would expect 15m to be rejected though myself, more like 20m.}

04 Apr 2012 13:06:51
Eds, is there a realistic chance that Jürgen Klopp will replace Kenny Dalglish as manager of liverpool football club for next season?
I remember we were linked to him before kenny came in charge. And the owners always wanted a young, dynamic, fresh manager. {Ed002's Note - No, I doubt it.}

04 Apr 2012 12:45:39
Suarez is not a kenny signing, enrique was recommended by commolli. RedTurk

Managers have teams of scouts to look at players and they approve the players they recommend. Thats how it works, there is NO manager in the world that solely signs players. This isnt football manager

I do wish people would stop blaming Comolli for everything. His job is basically as a head of scouting, coaching organisation, negotiating players in and out the club and he acts as a bridge between board and coaching staff. He has no final say on anything, the signing were down to KK!

MansfieldRED

Who did sign Suarez? Was it negotiated before Kenny came? Or was it Kenny/Comolli?

Thanks, Ell.

Yeah, Suarez isn't a Kenny signing. It was obviously who Hodgson had been lining up, right??

I don't think he was blaming Commolli since he said that two of our best signings came from him

Suarez was already in discussions when Kenny arrived
Enri

If I remember, Enrique was wanted by Kenny, and Commoli didn't rate him. Suarez was interested in coming before Kenny took over, Kenny just gave it the green light as he liked the player too.

04 Apr 2012 12:36:18
Don't know why peeps saying we won't be getting any decent players this summer and are being so pessimistic.

Roma are going to miss out on CL and did last year and they're eyeing up Suarez, Juve missed out on it for a number of years and still managed to attract good players, Inter are going to miss out and are targetting some great players and when Bayern missed out, they still attracted the likes of Ribery, Toni and Klose. Atletico Madrid have not been in the CL for years and still got the likes of Falcao, Turan and Diego last summer.

We just have to target players who are playing in lesser leagues or teams with no CL football and guarantee them first 11 football and future CL success. Players in the dutch league like Eriksen, De Jong and Mertens, Marin from Bremen, A Johnson from City, etc., all of these are possible if we play our cards right and show a determination to sign them.

Totally agree. We just have to purchase the correct players.

Well if kenny is still in charge there is a strong possibility of no decent players arriving, you only have to look at last summers flops!

Look lfc will not be getting marin and certainly won't be getting eriksen!! why lfc? he has the pick of spain, inter are interested as are bayern he supports spurs has turned down city and chelsea so again why lfc?

To the guy above who will we sign? You know so much it seems. Not saying we will sign him but he was giving examples of good players in 'lower' leagues.

I totally agree, except erikson, who really will go to a big club.

Great post and backed up by good examples of teams and players alike. I do believe we can still attract the right type of player it just needs to be done early without any messing around, look at how the mancs did business last year! sort it out quick and then start preparing properly for the start of the season. For me a player I would like to see is cardoza

04 Apr 2012 12:26:10
Hi Eds,
I have two questions:

1)What is the probability for
Andy CARROLL to leave at the end of the season?

2)Why do we have a such thin squad?

Please post something,
Y.N.W.A

{Ed002's Note - There is a chance CArroll will be sold - certainly I expect him to be available for sale. As for the second question, you need to write a "Dear Kenny" letter.}

04 Apr 2012 12:03:10
hi eds, has ther been any interst in any other lfc player apart from suarez? {Ed002's Note - Not much that I am aware of. There has been interest shown in Joe Cole who is doing well in France, but it will be nearer the summer before we know how serious that interest is. I am aware that there has been consideration of Kuyt by a couple of clubs but I don't think it has gone anywhere in regards the club.}

04 Apr 2012 10:53:33
Eds, as Villarreal are in such poor financial conditions and fairing so poorly in La Liga this season, would it be possible to sign Valero and Rossi? What prices would they be at would you think? Though I realise Rossi would be targeted by many, it would still be worth a go, and both would fill problem areas - playmaker, goalscorer. Valero would fit in perfectly in my view and I doubt he'd cost more than £10m. Would we be/are we interested in either? {Ed001's Note - it would be possible, really depends who else goes in for them, Barca were showing interest in Valero at one point.}

04 Apr 2012 08:33:23
Ed BILD are reporting that kagawa wants to leave at the end of the season. DO you think he could well sign for lfc? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have been one of the clubs, along with Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa has had a generally pretty poor season to start with, he is now back in favour at Dortmund and looking to agree an extension to his contract. I think that he will probably stay on in Germany next season although he says that a move to Manchester United would be impossible to turn down.}

If Kenny is to leave liverpool I think we should apoint Roy evans or maybe John Aldrige
then we should sign
Matias suarez
adebayor
hoilett
gaston ramirez

ED002, you keep saying about how poor a season Kagawa has had, but for someone having such a poor season he's managed 12 goals and 6 assists! {Ed002's Note - What I said was "a generally pretty poor season to start with". Then I went on to say "he is now back in favour at Dortmund".}

'Back in favour' is different to 'now playing well' {Ed002's Note - When do the schools go back? Why do we bother if all we are going to get is anonymous trolls like you picking every sentence apart?}

wafa {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware - is this a fantasy manager pick?}

Sorry?? i dont get you ed

Dan {Ed002's Note - The question is Dan, does any suggest or suspect that there is interest from Liverpool or is this just some random player being asked about?}

Morning Ed's

I think a possible 4 players for the Summer

Sissoko
Marin
Holliet (free)
Matinez or Suarez

This should once again improve the squad at relatively small cost especially if we are losing these
Cole,Aquilani,Johnson,Maxi,Kuyt?

If we can get a 20 goal a season man,and then get the others to carry out shooting practice then we should improve again.I must admit we have really missed Lucas in DFM.You don't realise what he does until he is not there and then have to replace him.

REDFORLIFE

Marin is only going where champions league is going from my understanding. We approached him in the summer and he turned us down. Tottenham look more likely to get him. Hoillet Ive heard has signed a precontract with us, but this is something my mate in blackburn said which isn't exactly reliable. Moussa Sissoko does again depend on a few factors, if we bid for him so will half of europe. If he's as good as everyone thinks of course. I doubt we will bother with the other suarez, remember jovanovic? But what do I know, I'm not a professional scout.

De jong is possible

I think suarez is more likely than the others

If you want sissoko there is no need for lucas in the squad {Ed002's Note - Moussa Sissoko is not a defence midfield player. And it is looking much less likely to happen now.}

I agree tht we miss lucas dearly!! he links up the defense to the attack hmph jus waitin for next season to start

Why do people want rid of johnson he is awesome

I think Lucas has been a massive loss. The stats with/without him tell a story. If Kenny ends up out of a job next season (and I personally hope he doesn't), he'll look back at Lucas' injury as a major factor. Brian YNWA

Eds as macca said we try to sign 5 players this summer.
Obviously nobody knows which players this will be.
But can you tell us out of your knowledge which players we are monotoring closely at the moment? {Ed002's Note - Not beyond what has already been said. The term "monitoring closely" is perhaps clouding your view a little. There is interest in several players as discussed - certainly De Jong, Phillips, etc. and we know that the club has looked at the likes of Suarez and Badelj but I think there will be a dependency on what happens at the end of the season and who leaves.}

Do we have any interest in Gourcuff of Lyon? He's a cracking player who can play as a play maker, a number 10, or attacking right midfielder. And at 25 would have "resale value". Have we ever looked at him?

One word..Overrated!

Theres about 25 - 35 million reasons we haven't lloked at him!!agree with previous reply!

hey ed's, any interest in james forrest? {Ed001's Note - none that I know of, from us anyway.}

Hey eds what realistic right wing targets are there for us becuase de Jong is striker and I havent heard of any one else mentioned apart from him and m. phillips? {Ed005's Note - Too early to say.}

Hi

Know that Marco Bueno has turned 18 does that mean he is now an lfc player or do we have to wait until the transfer window?

It would be in the summer depending on whether Liverpool go ahead with the signing. no reason not 2, he scored two goals on his debut his stats are 3 goals in 6 apps. his club C.F. Pachuca in the top division in mexio

Eds do you know when agger is fit again? {Ed001's Note - no, he was due back sooner, but he is a slow healer and his recovery is taking longer than expected. Hopefully by the weekend, but you can't tell with him.}

any intrest in mertens of psv ed's? If so how much do you recon psv would be willing to let him go for? {Ed001's Note - yes some, no idea of price though.}

We should try and get him we need a winger i'd try £25m for him plus strootman. they would make just over double the amount they paid for both of them.
