You said a while back that the players we would potentially be looking to sell, are Lucas, Balotelli and Sakho. Has that changed?

If by some miracle we were to sell Balotelli and Sakho, would that possibly be enough funds to go out and actually buy an outfield player, who potentially could start for us?

{Ed002's Note - Inter still want Lucas and he still wants Inter. There is a good chance a deal can be done but Inter probably need to sell first. Mino has found several; loan options for Balotelli but nobody wants him at the asking price. Perhaps if Liverpool could get Origi early for a small fee they could tolerate a loan but would need to look again at their financial expectations it may be possible. Olympiakos are less of an option than Inter (who are still negotiating the exit of Icardi) or Galatasaray if there were to be a loan. Sakho is staying for now.}

Sakho is clearly our best defender why would we want to sell him.

Lucas is our only defensive midfielder so why sell when we clearly need him.

Icardi where is he going ed ?

What's wrong with Sahko? He had nervy moments but now he's playing more sensible short passes he looks fine. His confidence is growing, judging by the little Cruyff turns, he is a quality player

Would be foolish to sell our most effective defensive midfielder, would leave us very short. Considering Gerrard is always a passenger when he plays, Allen is completely ineffective and not capable of playing defensive midfield, Henderson is no defensive midfielder as he is a box to box player and sitting Can as a defensive midfielder seems a waste of talent as he has a lot to his game, unless there was a plan to bring some quality in, which I doubt due to lack of funds, I think that letting Lucas go would be a huge mistake as things stand, would be better to find a buyer for Allen.

Ed002, so if Chelsea and Inter agree a deal for Icardi will Lucas go on loan to Inter or will he move on a permanent deal?

Is paying the extra funds to get Origi in January an option or still not please? I only ask because a few sites report it and how Lille are skint.

{Ed002's Note - Origi has had a torrid time recently suffering particularly at the hands of the fans. Lille are actively looking to secure a replacement and will now be happy to strike a deal with Liverpool for an additional payment to move him on this month. I have no idea what Liverpool would expect to do with him at this stage.}

{Ed002's Note - The fee agreed for the transfer is €13M and I suspect that Lille would accept a further €3M or so to let him go now. These fees exclude whatever payment Liverpool has agreed with the player for relocation, taxes, agents fees etc., etc.. And happy birthday for yesterday.}

Getting him in earlier would be beneficial long term.
Our current strikers are not offering much, so surely he can't do any worse. Also, if he is bought in January then it gives him the rest of this season to settle in with new team mates, training programmes, new environment and tactics.
We might see the benefits at the start of next season.
Might also be a good idea to take him Way from the environment he is currently in as it may affect his confidence.

Ed1 do you know any news on team news for tomorrow. Ojo has been on the bench recently. Do you expect him to start? Also do you expect Ibe to be recalled from his loan this month?

{Ed001's Note - I was told Rossiter would get a game, but that was all I was told. Ibe is not expected to be recalled, or at least there was no knowledge of that happening from his reps.}

Shaqiri has apparently got to choose between Liverpool & inter over next next coming days.

We have offered a permanent deal to Bayern while inter has offered a loan with obligation to buy.
