Hi, have Liverpool shown any interest in Julian brandt in this window? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No, not Liverpool but others yes.}

Hey Eds, forgot to say, Merry New Year! :)
Just read sth about Emil Forsberg supposedly being called a 'Liverpool target'. It's a new one onj me. Have we any actual interest? Just his agent stirring things up?
Thanks a mil.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - there is interest from us and a few others, Spurs I believe are another. As I understand it RBL were keen to say he was not for sale but the player and his agent would like a move. I don't know if that will mean we move for him or not, we certainly were not going to while he was 'not for sale' as RBL have pots of cash and would have need more than we could afford to tempt them.}

Great answer. Thanks so much.

Do u know why Harry Wilson is not getting a look in Ed, U23 captain and scoring plenty of goals? Does Klopp not rate him or is it more he's physically or mentally not strong enough yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is just a bit behind some of the others for now, in the pecking order, due to their performances when they got a chance earlier in the season. He is defo in Klopp's thinking for the future.}

Thanks for your time Ed

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

Ed001 - I've read it is RBL's policy to not block a player from moving to a better opportunity, is that your understanding as well? With RBL being a surprise title contender in the Bundesliga I would think RBL would like to hold on to Forsberg regardless of whether it looks like they are blocking the player from a better opportunity or not. Thanks for your time, Ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is not about blocking, it is about being the one Forsberg would choose from all his options available, if he was within our budget. They would be able to command a large price for him, with there being a lot of interest. I expect him to move, in the summer, if not now, I just think he will be out of our price range.}

Hi Eds, any news about Sardar Azmoun, Van Dijk and Hart?

Sardar Azmoun: he is such a talented player people do not know about, my favorite player in Russian PL. He would match perfect for our style of play. Good pass play, shot and score ala messi/ sturidge (you know not hard but precise) and running like a horse!

We have Sturidge and Origi, I like them
both but let's be honest: Origi is a striker and he can't drible a player when he get the ball where he is 1v1 with def player - he d o n o t k n o w w h at t o d o, he can run yes and that's all. Sturidge: we all love him, but we want to love him every match! Not once in a 2-3 month!

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has an interest in Azmoun but I don't know if there is any intention to make an offer in January. Liverpool has shown no interest in van Dijk and is too expensive in any case. Liverpool has shown no interest in Hart who is on loan for the season.}

Hi Eds (and fellow reds) . with Leeds unable to resolve the Charlie Taylor contract situation it's clear he'll move on this summer at the latest. are we interested at all?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he has been tracked for a while, but Milner has made the left back position his own, Moreno is happy to fight for his place and is working his backside off in training, and we now have Juanma making great strides in the U23s. I don't think we will push for him mate. Left back has become less of a priority.}

Great to hear about moreno. As it is any player making such efforts! Positive strides edd?

{Ed001's Note - shows he has the right attitude and that should be applauded as it has a positive effect on the rest of the squad.}

A friend of mine (Jake Skelton) used to play with him at the academy, says there are 3 clubs are interested but, none of which are liverpool.
He said Charlie just wants to concentrate on this season and help get Leeds promoted. Where he's contracted till this year, he seems happy to play well and honour that part of things going by his interviews.

It has to be said, Leeds insistence on 2 year contracts for their promoted academy players hurts them year in year out.

Credit to Moreno, losing your position to somebody who wasn't initially competing for your position is extremely hard. He has had his fair share of critics, great to hear him fighting back. His performance vs Crystal Palace away was very good to be fair to the lad. Brilliant for the rest of the squad when players are always pushing the first 11 for their spot which only raises their performances levels.

Thanks Ed001 for the reply mate. good to hear about our current squad and potential players. And thanks chileanred for the insights. very cool to know.

ps - what is wrong with people at this site. I ask a question and get an immediate dislike. this is why I post less and less at this site, it's off putting.

Agree5 Disagree6

{Ed001's Note - why do you even care whether people like or dislike what is posted? It could as easily be aimed at my reply as your post mate, just ignore them.}

Don't be put off by the disagrees Reynard. It was a good question, keep it up.

If the like and dislike buttons were removed the site would be exactly the same.

I hear that Rob Jones has been back coaching on the full back/ wing back positions at the clubs training ground.
Does anyone know has Jones had any input into Morenos training recently.

I don't think there have been many better fullbacks than Jones.
