CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda has agreed personal terms with AC Milan.

The Japanese international has signed a four year contract and will earn 2.5m per year.

tv Italia reported

Now everyone should stop asking about honda

Believable27 Unbelievable10

Wanted him in the prem :(

Agree1 Disagree1

Am I the only one who thinks this is a steal for Milan? Free and about 50,000 a week wages for Honda seems a bargain.

Agree2 Disagree0

Going to miss the forever young Honda rumours but then there is always Turan. :)

Agree1 Disagree0

No. for lots of us, made up rumors trump reality. That`s why I am going to give this post an unbelievable.

hi eds, for some reason I don't have a search bar at the top of my page so could you just answer this question, do Liverpool have any interest in Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona or any central midfielders, cheers {Ed002's Note - Gerard Deulofeu was one of the two Barcelona players who was again discussed between Barcelona and Chelsea clubs earlier this year and Chelsea were told he would not be sold. Offers from Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen have been rejected. If a sale is possible, expect interest from Bayern Munich and also an approach from Txiki Begiristain on behalf of Manchester City. Everton, Spurs and Roma are all interested in taking the player on loan.}

Believable14 Unbelievable13

BANG he already signed for an other club

Agree0 Disagree0

Basically ed chelsea are interested in everyone {Ed002's Note - Deulofeu was one of three Barcelona players who have been of long term interest. One has been purchased and interest remains in the others.}

Hi guys just a quick message, are Liverpool interested in Christopher Samba? I doubt we are. nothings been mentioned but of course it could be one of them? bang. we're interested. bang he's signed? if we could get him for say 10m. would be a top buy. but you know, just wondering, probably a dead end. just thought i'd ask. {Ed002's Note - No, and he is moving elsewhere.}

Believable10 Unbelievable49

Think he, s re-signed for Anzhi {Ed002's Note - Right.}

Agree10 Disagree1

Absolute madness.

BKP

Agree11 Disagree1

Not so sure about 'top' but to be honest!

Agree10 Disagree4

Too similar to kolo toure imo, no point in making a move.

Agree3 Disagree2

I don't know what he had been doing in Russia but he looked as slow as a snail since January. That's guaranteed starter fee for a CB, huge wages, has regressed massively.

As per BKP, absolute madness!

Agree6 Disagree2

Fair enough guys

Hello Eds,
1. I know its difficult to say but do you reckon its the most likely scenario that at the start of the season our CB options will be Toure, Agger, Skrtel and Illori?
I reckon if we can't get Papa we are better of keeping Skrtel, we can always go for Papa in the Jan window.

2. Any truth in our interest in Sevilla LB Alberto Monero? {Ed002's Note - (1) There is interest in Ilori, so maybe. (2) I don't know of interest in Moreno.}

Believable20 Unbelievable2

Im more than happy with our CB options

Skrtel, Agger, Toure, Kelly, Wisdom, Jones, Sama and potentially Ilori I think Skrtel will stay as Papa is deemed to expensive, Sakho will stay at PSG and that leaves Toby Alderwiereld who seems to be available at the right price under £9M but it seems as were not interested which is actually surprising as he can cover LB as well as CB and is a good defender.

Agree7 Disagree2

Agreed bigd, I reckon a move for alderwiereld should have been done weeks ago. who knows, plenty of time, but a cheap and damn good option. I hope we don't leave it too late. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool decided the asking price was too high, but it is certainly less than that being asked for Papadopoulos. It looked likely that a move to Bayer Leverkusen would go ahead but they too see him as over priced. Maybe Liverpool will look to him again.}

Agree5 Disagree0

BigD, can Alderweild cover LB? I've never seen him and checked earlier today and I saw he could cover RB but no mention of LB. Would be ideal if he can, obviously only if he's good enough - next question - is he good enough? And finally do you know is he in the final year of his contract as someone posted earlier that he is (quite expensive if he is?)

Agree2 Disagree1

04 Jul 2013 17:05:06
Read some where alderwield move to leverkusen has stalled, meaning Liverpool could yet make a attempt to buy him from ajax, he's belgian if I, m not mistaken and with mignolet having signed, and the fact he can play left back, a posisition we are short in! I reckon he could be a great signing, but not sure what budget br has, ands don't know what ajax are asking?

Dhh l20 kopite

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jul 2013 17:06:45
I think he's left footed

Agree1 Disagree0

If he's left footed that might indeed mean he could cover LB . or it could equally work against him, as Agger is pretty much a shoe in for the left side of a CB partnership, and we seem to be prioritising a potential replacement for Skrtel.

Agree2 Disagree0

Illori will sign within a fortnight or so as 4th choice CD. If Agger or Skrtel move on we'll get a bigger name in (probably Alderweireld as Papa and Sakho look v unlikely). Other than that BR wants competition for Enrique, but it won't be Digne as he wants guaranteed 1st team action. Shaw is possible but could be the same prob as with Digne. That'll be it defence-wise now Kelly is back.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2013 22:18:49
He is right-footed and has played at right back so fairly versatile very good option but BR could have a string of other good options we don't know about, time will tell and plenty of time in the transfer window left.
Carlos

Agree0 Disagree0

Almost any decent centre back can use both feet and does so on numerous occasions.

I will be most disappointed now if Skrtel does't go and a replacement isn't brought in. We selected a 35 year old over him last year half way through the season he was that poor. Unless there's been a dramatic change in his game. I see us being plagued at the back again.

Hi Eds! Is there any interest from LFC for Balzs Dzsudzsk? {Ed002's Note - I suspect it is an old story being recycled, but Liverpool showed interest in Dzsudzsak whilst at PSV and again in January when the club enquired after a loan. More recently Inter, Schalke and Parma have shown an interest. It would certainly not be out of the question.}

Believable8 Unbelievable16

Today Liverpool have beaten Inter milan to the Dzudszak's

"Liverpool have made £12 m final offer for Balazs Dzudszak.
And publicist Dynamo Moscow will announce signing via an
Official press release in few days"

Believable13 Unbelievable45

Eds: is this a new story or the rehashed one from June? {Ed002's Note - I suspect it is an old story being recycled, but Liverpool showed interest in Dzsudzsak whilst at PSV and again in January when the club enquired after a loan. If this is true then we've got him cheaper than when he left psv. and would you now think all interest in HM is put to bed? Though doesn't he play on the wing?

Cheers Alfie

Agree1 Disagree1

I highly doubt this.
Why spend so much for such average.

BKP

He can play either wing or second striker, good pace, great technical ability, excellent left foot and amazing at freekicks. I'd be really happy if this is true he'd be a definite improvement on downing. I'd guess it would spell the end of downing or assaidi.

Hey Eds,
I recently read that Bayer Leverkusen pulled out of negotiations with Tobi Alderwiereld as they couldn't agree on personal financial terms and are now looking elsewhere. Any truth in this and is he still an option?
Dani {Ed002's Note - I expected Alderweireld to go to Spurs to replace Gallas or Roma to replace Marquinhos. Liverpool decided the asking price was too high, but it is certainly less than that being asked for Papadopoulos. It looked likely that a move to Bayer Leverkusen would go ahead but they too see him as over priced. Maybe Liverpool will look to him again.}

Believable21 Unbelievable3

I hope we do look again as I do think he would be a very good signing and for me a better prospect than popadopoulos with his injuries etc

Gareth

Agree1 Disagree0

Isn't Alderweireld in the last 12 months of his contract Ed?
If so what are they asking for him? Roughly? I was under impression it was 8-10 million.

John Thompson of Liverpool Echo tweets Suarez will stay and HM will be marquee signing. Seen before his reports are fairly on point, so hope this is too. Carlo

Believable74 Unbelievable29

The guy dosent deserve to stay. Sell him!

Agree11 Disagree11

I hope this is not true. I just cannot see Suarez staying out of trouble. My fear is what next.

Agree10 Disagree8

Get rid of spoilt brat Suarez for big money. and sign a class payer who's longing to come here. ( Mkhitaryan )

Agree8 Disagree8

Spoilt brat? The guy can help us challenge for the league title let alone top 4, and if we signe Mkhitaryan as well we are going to have some team next season. Hope he stay's. Gerrard Suarez Sturridge Coutinho Mkhitaryan Aspas mouth watering!

Agree8 Disagree4

Yeah let's get rid of the best forward in the entire premier league. If he's good enough for real or bayern he's good enough for Liverpool. SO GET REAL!

Agree4 Disagree5

I absolutely agree with the last comment . I genuinely believe with a couple of more additions like Mikey and a top centre half if we hold onto Suarez we will fight for the league let alone top 4

Agree4 Disagree2

Oh no, not talk of the league title.oh no please

Agree4 Disagree5

Speaking of spoilt brats has Mickey not gone on strike to force a move. Like for like by the looks but I would love them both starting in a very attacking red army!

Agree3 Disagree2

Why not try for the league? there are so many new managers coming in elsewhere and we have bugger all else to fight for. With 2 top goal keepers, a killer strike force and a healthy back line we might aswell try. I know there are a number of assumptions in that statement transfer window wise. But even if we miss out, we'll atleast land in the top 4 and have a champions league spot come 14/15/.

Agree1 Disagree0

All top players are spoilt brats these days, sad but true. Very few like Stevie and Carra play entire career for one club. They are all fake badge kissers in it for as much money they can get their greedy paws on. They have their strings pulled by their even greedier agents who turn their heads when they are promised a deal for more money!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just listen to some of you!
Are you LIVERPOOL fans or just fans of those creeps at Fenway?

Fenways plan is to buy kids, develop them, sell them at a profit. And bring in someone at a lower wage. ofcourse the profit goes into their axxx pocket.

And some of you are ignorant and stupid enought to support that.

A basic policy of fenway, in England AND the US, is to smear a star. And force him out, SO THEY CAN PROFIT!

And you fall for it each and every time!
Torres, Mereiles, Suarez, Reina.
They even tried to boot out Dagger.
YOU MUGS! {Ed002's Note - I see you are still being as much of an embarrassment to the club as you can. The owners, the management, the players and the fans seem to be the target of your hate.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Suarez will still be with us next season for a number od reasons!

pb

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2013 19:34:38
Suarez will give us one more season and will go to Madrid next year where he can bite a few more people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are these the same fans who shouted for gerrards head when he was half way down the motorway to sign for chelsea before he started crying and said he couldn't go through with it. FACT he was soon forgiven and is now a hero so get off suarez, s case and get behind him.If real madrid come in for gerrard don't you think his head would be turned aswell, get behind whoever wears the red shirt and support the team

Agree3 Disagree0

If HM comes, it's as a replacement for Suarez. Liverpool won't challenge for the title if the backline isn't sorted and a dm cover isn't found

Agree0 Disagree0

To the unknown poster saying the club will develop young players and sell them on. Wouldn't it be in FSG best interest to build the club up to a premier league winning team with a larger capacity stadium and a commercially sound club then sell for a profit?

Agree0 Disagree0

Suraez wil stay miky in cushty

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoping LS stays, seemed early on with no bids coming in that might be the case.

He knows he's messed up, hopefully he learns and we can get on with a cracking season with the new additions.

Just wondering where these Gooner rumors have come from? Gooner fans just hoping?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong on both counts.

LS will leave

HM has gone elsewhere

Have we lost all interest in Eriksen? If so it is a shame. I rate him higher than HM and he is much cheaper. Stupid to waste £25m on an Armenian player who week in and week out play against teams like Sevastopol, Volyn Lutsk, Hoverla Uzhhorod and Illichivets Mariupol. I think going for HM instead of Eriksen will be a fatal mistake by Liverpool. {Ed002's Note - Mkhitaryan remains the target - I really don't think Eriksen was ever a viable option.}

Believable19 Unbelievable31

Ed. Why have Dortmund Liverpool and Spurs swapped interest in Eriksen? Is this guy really that good as he is a a lot more expensive!

Thanks. {Ed002's Note - I don't think Eriksen was ever going to happen - as for Mkhitaryan, nobody doubts his abilities as a player and a deal can be done if Liverpool can reach agreement over the money.}

Agree7 Disagree1

HM is a much better player than CE, he stood out for me when he was one of the best players on the pitch when shaktar knocked chelsea out of the champions league

Agree16 Disagree3

If micky went to dortmund would we move for erikson? {Ed002's Note - See above.}

Agree2 Disagree4

Bet you think city were clever to buy from the same team for a player half the quality.

OH and eriksen dosn't play against any better teams so point invalid.

Agree6 Disagree1

Glad you've said that Ed, fans banging on about Eriksen is getting tiring, can't seem to realise he simple isn't a target and HM is. Or maybe he doesn't have interest in playing in the country.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ukrainian league was ranked higher than the Erdiervse this season. Oh well you clearly know nouthing but its your opinion.

Agree8 Disagree4

If u seriously believe eriksen is better, than u need to start watching some matches mate.

Agree8 Disagree1

Different players . i'd like eriksen as all would. but mkhitaryan scores a lot of goals ( internationally and champs lge also ) eriksen a more deep lying midfielder(coutinho gerard allen) are there for eriksen style stuff. mkhitaryan arrives and makes runs and gets on the end of things. as rodgers said he wants 20 more goals. u won't get that out of eriksen. goals win games
5 gold stars

Agree16 Disagree4

I agree 5 gold stars, Goals wins games but you can add to argument that Eriksen doesn't even track back to play Defense like Mkhitaryan does.

Agree10 Disagree2

Ed do u expect us to pay what they want for henrikh and have dortmund been allowed to talk to the play yet thanks {Ed002's Note -Dortmund have spoken with his agent, as have a number of other clubs. I think a deal can be done.}

Agree5 Disagree1

Mkhitaryan is far superior to Erickson in all depts.
I really hope we sign him. would hate to see him playing for someone else, when we have the chance to get him .
The lad obviously wants to come here. and that's also a big plus!

Agree4 Disagree0

I think the team already has atleast 20 more goals with Suarez and HM.

The combination, if we manage to make it happen, should be looking to provide atleast 50 goals between them(Assists included)

I think we will be very hard to play against next season and our biggest weapon is going to be simply outworking the other teams and totally dominating the ball.

BKP

Agree5 Disagree0

I would bet good money that the OP along with a lot of other fans who now are comparing him to Erikson and others had never noticed the existence of HM before he was linked with Liverpool.

Agree6 Disagree0

How does nationality have any baring on his ability as a player? George Weah was from Liberia and he was a beast. If you judge football players on the fact that they are Armenian rather than Brazilian then you're a whopper and probably shouldn't even watch football.

Agree6 Disagree1

Mhiktaryan was in the euro 2012 qualifers dream team scoring 6 goals for amenia if a player can do well for a bad team he could be great in a good team don't judge when you've probably never seen him play

Agree0 Disagree0

Err, seem to recall a match few weeks back . let me see . erm Denmark 0 Armenia 4 .
Hmm . thinks .

Er. yeah, and 4 days before that, they lost 0-1 at home. to Malta!

Hi guys,

Heard from a work colleague from Holland that we have contacted Douglas regarding a free transfer. Have you heard anything Eds?

Also heard that we have enquired about Neil Taylor and expect Reina to move to Barcelona and Skrtel to move to Zenit next week!

Paulmondo

Believable23 Unbelievable25

I think its just a case of Buck trying to take the Mickey out of Shaktar.

Agree2 Disagree4

03 Jul 2013 23:18:21
Ed's been hearing the possibility that HM might not even be owned by Shaktar or their shareholding is below 50% so the decision is out of their hands as they can be outvoted by the other owners.

Heard the information coming from The Shaktar president is irrelevant and should be ignored. Heard that Ian Ayre has been negotiating with the correct people. The bid Dortmund made went to Shaktar and is possibly irrelevant as the main owners have not agreed to it.

Again, I heard that a deal maybe close with the other parties and personal terms agreed, but money is the biggest factor for Liverpool completing it. I.e. they currently do not have it. Without selling Suarez, it looks very difficult to close the deal.

FSG are trying to balance the books this year shead of FFP. The main ones they wanted off the books are Carroll, Suarez and Reina which will significantly reduce the salary levels. I also believe after the 20 million in January there is not much of a budget this summer.

This is what I have heard it maybe wrong but it sounds plausible.

Orrin

Believable27 Unbelievable55

Agree with the bit about Liverpool negotiating with the correct people hence the bid is before them and not the club because of they owning a higher stake in the player. Don't necessarily agree with Liverpool not having money to pay for the player, to me its pure speculation. As the eds say we get to caught up with clauses and finances. It's like going to the supermarket knowing you have to buy a trolley full of groceries but only took money for a basketful full then to shame yourself at the counter. Liverpool know what the player cost and I don't believe they would have open talks to waste their time along with the player and the owner. It just don't add up.

Agree14 Disagree2

We ain't spent nothin yet carroll and jonjo cover that

Agree9 Disagree2

04 Jul 2013 01:16:33
Or you've read other news clips and come to the assumption? 2+2=?

Agree7 Disagree4

Incorrect article the reliable Phil McNulty from BBC has confirmed that LFC do not need to sell Suarez to buy HM

Agree11 Disagree3

Why on earth does it sound plausible that FSG, who want success for the club, want Saurez, our only world class player to leave?
It sounds far more plausible that they would want to buy more class players if FSG want success.
The question is Do They?.
They have the money.

Agree8 Disagree2

Orrin - you are correct about the state of the clubs finances. There is some re-balancing going on. Suarez moving is not salary related. Reina & Carroll situation was and is salary related - club want maximum bang for their buck and rightly so. In the same vein Johnson, Skrtel & Downing are high earners with either 2 yrs on contract or lack of first team spot to factor in. Johnson at least is a first teamer so Reina, Skrtel & Downing out is highly likely with Spearing sold too. Coates and Assaidi will be loans probably this summer as no clubs currently offering cash for permanent deal.

Kidder

Agree4 Disagree4

It's not in the best interest of LFC to want to get rid of Suarez.
Some people just don't understand?
Champions League qualifcation means increased revenue/money!
We have a better chance with Suarez in the side of achieving our goals.
Your guesswork just doesn't make sense.

Agree12 Disagree4

Nooo they do have it. It's just the case of balancing the books and having enough to complete the purchase of HM & the Young defender.

But the difficulty they've had with both deals hasn't helped.

In the coming days or weeks things should be a lot clearer.

KOPBOY

Agree1 Disagree4

Its nothing to do with FFPlay. They've been dumping debts onto the club from day one. Its now about 90m, started at 50m.

They are conmen pure and simple.
Kick out top players, recruit kids and also rans. Last yr, the wage bill was chopped by about 25m a year(source- Sky).

Midtable now, and midtable next year. They simply don't care that top players need good wages.

This club is in meltdown.
RIP LFC {Ed002's Note - Any debt on the club decreases the value of the club as an asset. That asset is owned by FSG. This is another reason we don't discuss finances - because people simple don't understand.}

Agree3 Disagree13

To the 'RIP LFC' post.

What is the point in posting? You clearly know very little and you are pruely speculating. If it wasnt for FSG we would likely be in the Championship.

Agree16 Disagree5

Guys,

Liverpool are not in a strong financial position at the moment. FSG are trying to make it strong. They have invested a lot of money in the club and they are trying to make it a sustainable model. This means paying lower salaries and finding value for money in the transfer market.

Just think about it. Do we really have 35. - 40 million to spend on HM and Papadopolous (or another expensive defender) without selling Suarez? We lost 70 million last year, we cannot keep spending in the way we have done. We have saved money on the salaries of the players we have sold compared to what we have bought but adding MH and Another defender will mean we are probably spending more on salaries then we are currently. That just does not make sense in a loss making company.

If you want to see when you have a big benefactor walk away you new to just look at Malaga. They are currently banned from Europe and selling all their good players. They will struggle to stay up next season.

Orrin

Agree3 Disagree9

If it wasn't for FSG we probably wouldn't exist! At least in the same entity!

Just because FSG are trying to make the club self-sustaining doesn't make them conmen, quite the opposite in my opinion.

SA

Agree13 Disagree5

I agree with SA. And RIP LFC I think you are miles off - what top players have the owners kicked out? Yes they trimmed the wage bill extremely well but I think most fans will agree it is removing high earners who do not contribute to the team is what they were doing there, ala Joe Cole, Andy Carroll (as his style doesn't suit), Maxi (wanted to go home & bit part player), Kuyt (energizer batteries can't last forever).

Do you mean top players like Gerrard with a history of injuries and a new contract? Or Suarez like the new contract he was given last season?

Agree5 Disagree0

Right firstly to the poster with all the debt nonsense. Lpool were about to go bankrupt after the other 2 cowboy's leveraged buyout. FSG are never going to be able to finance like City and Chelsea but they bought the club with little debt. The 2 cowboy's were paying upto 30m a year in interest payments which crippled us.

FSG have made Lpool one of the least in debt clubs and we now pay the banks around 3m in interest. The only way we can buy 50m players is the banks, so you moan about not buying stars and that FSG have put us in debt, you clearly don't understand finance as Lpool are now able to spend a little more than we used to, i'm not their biggest fan but they actually saved the club and now supposed fans like you just spout complete guff.

Agree5 Disagree1

Can I just interject something here . 'cos i'm getting real fed up with some posters whining about our present owners .
Not meaning to get anyone's back up or anything but if you want to see just how incompetently the club has been run for 2 decades then please order a copy of Brian Reade's "Epic Swindle. etc "
Ok FSG might not be everyone's cup of tea but they at least seem to be trying put things right . without them I seem to recall we were up the preverbial creek without a paddle and heading into oblivion FAST.
Anyone doubting these words, go buy the book, sit on the dunny for a couple of hours and think a bit more before posting your personic bile!
