Ed002, a) Have we made a bid for Emre Can? b) If yes, did we activate the clause in his contract? c) Any updates on Moreno? Thanks.

Believable13 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - (a) Yes. (b) Forget the "clause". (c) No.}

Tottenham have hijacked Liverpool's move for Sevilla left back Alberto Moreno by tabling a £14million offer plus Roberto Soldado on loan for the defender.

Believable24 Unbelievable144

We have UCL football to offer him and we have already had talks with him, I stick to what I said he will be a Liverpool player by the end of the week and some reports believe he is set to have a medical tomorrow.

Agree5 Disagree0

Hijacked for 14m+soldado on loan? no way. we offered 16m+Suso on loan that they rejected saying they would prefer cash than the loan deal, why would they accept 2m less and SOLDADO from Tottenham?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - Actually they said they had no use for Suso.}

Gone are the days of this stuff happening

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it really 'hijacking' if a deal with us hasn't been agreed? Semantics, I suppose.

Agree1 Disagree1

We have put a £16 million bid plus suso on loan but they said they didn't want a loan they just wanted straight up money.
plus why would he go to spurs when there is no champions league and a 5, 6, 7 position in the league each year

Agree2 Disagree0

Soldado inclusive in the deal would be a great deal for the Spanish club.

He'll score goals back in a league he feels comfortable in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that we have been given the price of 16m for Moreno. We know the price and if we want him we need to pay it. Don't think any reliable sources have confirmed that we have bid this yet.

Hey eds have Liverpool activated Cans release clause and is Moreno nearing towards Anfield. Lastly is Borini on the way out.

Believable27 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - Putting aside release clauses, I understand that Liverpool has made an offer for Emre Can. The situation with Moreno is unchanged and Liverpool has not made an acceptable bid. Borini is keen to stay at Liverpool.}

Liverpool met the original asking price and were granted permission to speak to moreno. personal terms have been agreed.seville are now trying to get more money out if Liverpool.a medical is still planned.

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish. Liverpool has not made an acceptable offer.}

Seville have moved the goal posts over the amount and structure.this is not unusual with them.

Agree3 Disagree3

Its now being reported that Liverpool FC have completed the signature of Emre Can and will be present the deal as complete tomorrow (according to Bild)

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed, would you say Liverpools offer for can is 'acceptable' as you said earlier forget about the clause?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I believe it is.}

Liverpool have submitted a written offer for Bayer Leverkusen's Emre Can and things could move fast now. (Bild)

Read the following which has been circulating "If reports out of Germany are correct, any contract issues between Can and Liverpool have been worked through and a deal is imminent with Liverpool set to trigger the player's €12M release clause a year after Can moved from Bayern Munich for a fee of €5.5M. Though Leverkusen will be disappointed to lose him, it's a tidy profit for a player they never expected to hold on to long term"

On another note altogether, regarding Diego Costa, I just get this feeling that he won't go to Chelsea.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - A price has been agreed for Costa and he has had a medical, but like any transfer it may not go through.}

Leverkusen have confirmed that Liverpool have bid for Can.

20min a swiss newspaper is reporting that xherdan shakiri is on his way to Liverpool.
the source seems to come from the circle of acquaintances of shakiri.

as we know, shakiri doesn't want again a season on the bench at Bayern and told newspapers, that he would be excited about a Job in the premier league.

To be honest - I think it would be a good (if not better) alternative to lallana, if the price is right.

30mil for lallana must be a joke, I hope we don't deal with this.

Believable35 Unbelievable16

{Ed002's Note - It is interesting as Liverpool has not been given a price by Bayern Munich. There is interest from Liverpool and the player mouths off to the press directly or through friends, but Bayern have explained they have yet to put a value on him. We'll see.}

04 Jun 2014 15:00:18
They probably want to wait till after WC, when they are hoping his value will increase.

@Ed002:
Of course, you're right.
But is it that usual to go always on the outside with a price tag on a player?
Perhaps everything goes fast now or they wait after the World Cup.
Shakiri has now some days off until the swiss team is going on friday to brazil.
Somehow I feel that Bayern also want to get rid of him as long as they can get serious money.

I think a price tag around 20Mil Euros seems realistic.

Cheers Kenobi

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant believe we have no interest in Konoplyanka.

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree, I hope we drop put of Lallana chase, as anything over £25M is too much for a 26 year old who is only just breaking through on international scene. I would rather go for Shaqiri if we can get him for under £20M, and put money we save towards other requirements. £25M+ is just too much for Lallana in my book.

Viktor Fischer is he still available as last I heard he was approaching the final 12 months of his contract and refused to sign a new deal so he was being offered around?

Believable5 Unbelievable9

{Ed002's Note - Someone has been teasing you.}
