Charlie Adam is all but signed, for 6m, and we are looking at Jose Enrique, Mateo Musacchio and HULK!

04 Mar 2011 22:02:36
Ed do you think we are interested in Sakho? He's a promising centre back and can also play left back. Or Kjaer maybe? If not then what defenders do you think we are interested in? {Ed001's Note - I believe we have looked at Sakho and Subotic, not sure who else.}

04 Mar 2011 22:05:08
Liverpool ins:
Young
Canales
Marveaux
Dzsudzsak
Wickham
Musacchio (sp)

Ed? ?

I think following players may be being targeted by Liverpool this summer: (not saying all of them will be bought)

Dzsudzsak
Bojan
Wendt
Adam
Young
Benzema
Marveaux
Musacchio
Yann M'Vila
Lavezzi
Jose Enrique
Micah Richards
Alexis sanchez
Arda Turan
Kjaer
Michel Bastos
Taye Taiwo
Lucas Barrios

Imo i think the following will leave
Skrtel
Kyriakos
Maxi
Ngog
Cole
Poulson
Koncheskey
Insua
Aquilani

Also i heard a rumor that Roma have announced that they are in talks with a member of the Fenway Sports Group, about a possible takeover.
I know this is a bit off topic but i seen Andy Carroll In town today by Metquarter with his girlfriend!

in march. . few months too early mate.

Not really, because we're tying up deals for M'Vila, Benzema, Adam, Young, Marveaux, Payet and Musacchio/ Enrique

Ed macca said that benzema is nailed on to join us but he is fantastic form for real and scored another 2 goals in a 7-0 win last night , i think mourinho might wanna keep him if mourinho stays. do you think we still have a chance of signing him , all depends if he actually wants to play for liverpool as well.

{Ed006's Note - I dont know if we will 100% sign him, there is a chance though.}

04 Mar 2011 19:21:56
This is one for ed. i heard a rumour of us trying to get alex oxlade chamberlain. is this true? ?

{Ed006's Note - It was rumoured about 2 months ago. Most clubs are looking at him.}

04 Mar 2011 19:07:27
{Ed002's Note - From what I have seen he looks fine - maybe even as good as Ryan Babel. But it would be interesting to know why clubs have been looking but not touching.}

well the reason not many people have touched him yet must be the same reason why nobody has touched sanchez ( whos 22 by the way ) and no bodys touched hazard yet who is nearly 20 i think , wijnaldum is only 20 years old he clearly has talent could be a bargain at £8m , there will be no chance of signing hazard people he just signed a new deal to stay at lille till 2015

Went on the anfield tour last week, and the guide told us that we were very likely to build up anfield, but it would take around 10 years for this to happen.as they would need to buy up some of the houses nearby and demolish.love the site btw

To the guy talking about strikers that have not been mentioned in the press, you did mention DEFOE? i asked my B-I-L who has a few contacts at the lane, he actually said it was possible as harry is looking to bring in AGUERO, HUNTELAAR & WICKHAM which will see the exit of PAVLYUCHENKO, KEANE and very possibly DEFOE

- - - - - -

You're the same person who's been spouting this same rubbish on the main page for the past week. Why on earth would either of Comolli or Kenny want a player who hasnt even managed to score once all season as a STRIKER!? We're trying to go forward, not backwards.
As for your wishlist, I find myself speechless that anyone would believe those 3 would move to that tin shed in North London.
Ag ero, most likely, didn't even know who Spurs were until they bid £38m for him - there's no chance whatsoever of him joining Spurs (in fact, there's more chance of him joining LFC), Huntelaar is about to turn 28 so I wouldn't mind if he went there and lead Spurs back to midtable anonymity and Wickham would no doubt choose LFC over Spurs.

Sorry for the rant, but I find it just baffling that anyone would believe that Liverpool would buy a player who can't even get a game for a team that is currently no better ourselves and, I feel, would be well behind us if Kenny had taken over sooner.

Martin

What players are most likely to come if we went for them,
I think these:
Turan
Baines
Adam
Coentrao
Maybe Lavezzi or gervinho for back ups
what do you think Ed? {Ed001's Note - I think Adam is the only one likely right now.}

04 Mar 2011 18:06:13
Hi ed there is one name that seems to not be getting mentioned a lot anymore and that is Llorente. He would still be my preferred choice as a striker to sign in the summer do you think we will show an interest? {Ed001's Note - no I don't unfortunately, I would love to see him play for us.}

04 Mar 2011 18:16:13
Liverpool are set to bid for:

PETER CROUCH
SCOTT PARKER
ASHELY YOUNG
FELIPE MELO

all in the summer

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Probably because he's as good as Ryan Babel

Bob Loblaw

{Ed002's Note - His hero is Dirk Kuyt of course.}

04 Mar 2011 16:56:49
Ed, just a quick question, are we at all interested in Neven Subotic (yes/ no/ maybe)? {Ed002's Note - No.}

04 Mar 2011 16:50:43
Apparently SID LOWE has an interview with Pepe Reina to be published in GUARDIAN tomorrow which is not a good one for the LIVERPOOL hearts and souls. @IanPrior on twitter

He's been saying that pepes leaving for three years!

04 Mar 2011 16:47:16
Ed, are there any strikers that that haven't been mentioned in the papers that Lfc are interested in and are good players, i.e defoe or milito for example? {Ed002's Note - I don't read the papers, but I don't know if they still have Hoarau as a target, and I guess Gomez may still be an option. I do not know of any that have not otherwise been mentioned here.}

04 Mar 2011 16:28:51
It seems to me that'll it will be Adam Marveaux Young and maybe another forward, which all seems pretty good as we arent able to spend like the idiots at chelsea or won't be in champions leauge next year, but theres one rumour what really gets me going and that is Bastos at LB he would fit in perfectly in the three at the back games and him and Charlie Adam crossing from the left onto Carroll head would be fantastic. what do you think ED
{Ed002's Note - Bastos is a decent player, but sadly (as I have said repeatedly) I expect him to move to Juventus in the summer. Lyon would no doubt expect a premium for selling him to Liverpool, or any other English side. Adam is not a player who I see as adding anything. I think there are much better midfield options available, e.g. Sissoko, unless Miereles or Gerrard is leaving.}

04 Mar 2011 16:32:50
We are after:
Benzema
Adam
Young
Marveaux
Payet
Enrique
M'Vila

Feyenoord Starlet Georginio Wijnaldum tells Dutch Media it is his dream to follow Dirk Kuyt and play for Liverpool

Bob loblaw {Ed002's Note - It is every players dream to play for Liverpool and show off their Liverpool tattoo of course. Joking apart, what would be neat to know is why so many of the "bigger" teams have looked at him and then not made an offer for the player.}

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You goota love all the footballers that turn out to be LFC fans. I personally have no idea who he is but then again I have zero intrest in any other league. I may occasionally watch a spanish game if the remotes ran out of batteries and the dog is still refusing to learn to turn the TV over. But going off what you have said I can take it youre not a fan and that he is actually useless which is probably why he's aimimg his sights for liverpool, unfortunatley for him he's a manager & American owner too late, as Im sure hed be a dead cert under the old regime. KK & NESV hopefully won't be fooled though. By the way ed02, if you hadn't guessed, im taking it as Gospal that hes no good.

Bob Loblaw

{Ed002's Note - From what I have seen he looks fine - maybe even as good as Ryan Babel. But it would be interesting to know why clubs have been looking but not touching.}

04 Mar 2011 16:23:29
Ed, you agree then. Why, will sammy lee depart himself or does kk know that he isn't a good coach. Who do you think will take his role. Phil thompson perhaps? {Ed002's Note - A different Editor, but I expect Sammy Lee to move on in the summer once the manager position is sorted out on a full-time basis and a coaching staff put in place. I really don't know what Kenny Dalglish thinks of Lee.}

04 Mar 2011 16:11:57
Ed, do you know what centre backs we are interested in and could you please tell me when sammy lee is getting the sack. he is as poor a coach you can get. {Ed001's Note - no, I am not sure what defenders we are after right now, other than maintaining an interest in Richards, which, apparently, could be revived in the summer. As for Lee, I have absolutely no idea why he is still there, I would expect him to leave in the summer though.}

04 Mar 2011 15:32:49
Ed i know hat you have said a million times about fabio coentrao joining real madrid but i don't understand why he would publically say that he loves liverpool. . .and another thing is do you think that we could get him if we go for him?after all we have the money and the club is moving in the right direction under dalglish and has a bright future, he is juz wat we need, he can play as a left winger or a left back so if liverpool have any intention of winning the premieship next season then tis is the type of player they shud go after. {Ed001's Note - just because he has said he loves Liverpool doesn't mean he is going to join us, for starters we would have to be willing to pay the ridiculous amount he would cost for a left back who can't defend.}

When you're bored you'll end up doing the most mundane of activities just to pass the time of day. I find myself in this very position today so after reading all these "Hey Ed i notice we're linked with so and so what do you think?" posts i decided to trudge through the daily pile of rubbish from the various outlets of the media.

After nearly poking my eye out with rusty 9" nail a couple of times, you realise the amount of utter garbage that is printed. It then dawns on you how utterly naive the readers of these stories are.

There are obviously too many people who will believe what they read. Perhaps i'm starting to show my age and with the passing of time a more mature and wise Bob develops? Perhaps had i had access to this kind of "information" twenty years ago would I have believed everything i read?

Today here is a quick list of who we are 'looking' to buy. The word 'looking' can also be described as 'bidding', 'actively chasing', 'desperately wants'.

In no particular order:-

Gago 15M, Canales 12M, Lavezzi 20M, Mushacchio 10M, Dzsudzsak 13M, Chamberlain 10M, Wickham 15M, Coentrao 25M, JA Riise free transfer, Honda 13M, Young 18M and Adam 14M.

The Ed's day in, day out, hour in, hour out have to go through swarms of posts asking for their opinion on 'we will buy gago, i don't think we should, what do you think. .'. Please give them a break from asking about banal transfer tittle tattle that has as much credence as an american walking on the moon?

If you find yourself so sucked in by anything, give us your address and i'll set up a stall on your drive selling vodka using battery acid as the main ingredient.

Bob the Red#

That's all well and good but do you think we'll by Pjanic?

Hi ed(s)

With canales becoming annoyed at not playing first team football at real, you think lfc may be interested? I know we scoured him slot before he moved to Madrid. Know of any current interest?

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - None that I know of.}

04 Mar 2011 14:22:15
Ed, did you hear that LFC are looking at Paul Robinson as Pepe Reina's replacement if he leaves?

{Ed006's Note - I have heard this yes, I believe that it is just paper talk though.}

"Hi Ed i think you are so overated and probably retarded, i agree with the chef that liverpool may have put a bid in for sanchez and how can you or Rewflo(idiot) say we havent, i mean you all got it right when we signed meriles didn't you not, all you talk about is hazard, taiwo, m'villa, de-guizman and others but know one has heard of these players never mind seen them and I do keep an eye on europe myself. Big Al YNWA"
----------------------------------
Sorry buddy but if your the one who hasnt heard of any of of these players, i unfortunatly need to inform you, that you might be the retarded one, they have been in the pipe line for a while. In my opinion (which you seem to have problem with taking from anyone) we have more chance to sign any of those players you mentiond than Sanchez.

{Ed002's Note - Don't be too hard on Big Al, he'd be speechless if he were constipated.}

Morning ed's, heard the rumour today about Domencio Cristico of Genoa, What do you think Ed? Is he a good player? Is he a player we could get? IMO I think he's a quality left back, not the best option available, but good quality and I would go for him. And if not him who would you have at leftback? Cheers Stevie D

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of any Liverpool interest in the player. Perhaps Comolli and Dalglish do not use Football Manager for their scouting?}
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

They may not use FM for scouting, but its on the BBC gossip pages, Theres a profound difference between gossip and rumours. But they have to start somewhere.

{Ed002's Note - As I said, I don't know of any Liverpool interest in the player.}

04 Mar 2011 09:12:21 With all due respect ed how can u say we have not made a bid for Sanchez the tight lipped liverpool way is back , I'm not saying we have made a bid but I think saying we haven't when u don't work for the haven't when u don't work for the club is a bit sad . . . . The chef kd7 ynwa{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have not.

Listen to ed.
Heres how you know we havent bid. We have never expressed any interest in him. They say no smoke without fire? There isn't even a match here. By the same rationale youre using we could say, how do you know we havent bid for messi? Or ronaldo? Or Paul scholes? Use your sense.

Rewflo
God is watching

04 Mar 2011 09:10:06
We need a left footed right winger who can cut in from the wings
OPTIONS:
Adam Johnson fits the bill but very unlikely!
N'Zogbia:not in good terms with Carroll!
Ben Arfa:injury-prone and has attitude problems!
Remaining ones:
Downing
Honda
Ryad Boudebouz
Andres Guardado
Vela:out of favour at Arsenal!
Giovanni Dos Santos

Vargas and Podolski havnt played as RWM or RF at any point of their careers but can be developed.

Ed what do you think? Also strike off the bad ones in the list!

{Ed002's Note - Adam Johnson would be the ideal option if available. Honda is the only other player on your list that seems possible at this time.}

Thanks, that was fast! Can Glen Johnson do a decent job there given we buy a new LB in the summer and Kelly sticks to his RB position?

{Ed002's Note - Yep, I think Johnson is an option. If it were my decision I would look to a dedicated player for that position - Dmitri Payet, who will be available.}

04 Mar 2011 07:56:08
Alot of stuff going around that we have made a bid for Sanchez. It does make sense have him and suarez play off of carrol we would be set with a strike force for the next 8-10 years if everyone plays as expected. Can Udinese accept a bid for him at this point and him put pen to paper.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As nice an idea that is, lets not forget that players come and go alot more frequent in our times and the paper that the contracts are written on mean very little, so to assume players will be with the club for ten years is wishfull thinking to be fair, that's even if a player comes in a settles. Its a shame because it seems that if a player doesn't like the jam on his toast he will force a move out, its about time the greedy sod's should be made to honour the signiture that was put on the huge money contracts they sign.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have not bid for Sanchez.}

04 Mar 2011 04:32:36
I do believe Reina may leave as yet he has not refuted the rumour but he will not go to United or Arsenal it will be Chelsea or Spain.
Do not see Sanchez Krkic or Hazard joining but can see either Wendt or Taiwo on a free allowing funds for a big signing.

Morning Ed's

Your points of view please

Charlie Adam will he come to Anfield in the Summer?
Is he the type of player for LFC as he stands out for Blackpool, would he still shine at Anfield given that the overall squad player quality is much higher.

Nothing against the guy but just cannot see him as a regular in the 1st team

REDFORLIFE {Ed002's Note - It seems that Liverpool still have an interest in the player, but as I have stated before, I am not convinced that he needs to come in.}

Dan The Man {Ed001's Note - he is far too lazy for my liking but Comolli loves him, he does have great technical ability but far too much attitude with it.}

According to reports in Spain, Liverpool are poised to make a move for Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio.The Argentine centre-half, 20, has put in some fine displays in La Liga this season and has consequently caught the eye of Liverpool's. Damien Comolli. Spanish newspaper AS claim that Musacchio will leave for a fee no lower than £8m.
