Please post eds.

A deal has been argeed with aston villa for downing. SSN are a few days behind. I was told a bid of 15 mill was turned down at weekend. and a new bid went in yesterday that was accepted. SSN can only say that they 'speculate' that an 'intial' bid has been rejected of 15 mil.

Great work eds, please keep us informed if you know any different or more. Thanks Jord

AS Roma goalkeeper Alexandre Doni hopes to take another step to moving to Liverpool today.

Sky Sport 24 says Roma are expected to accept Liverpool's offer for the Brazilian today and grant him permission to travel to England tomorrow.

Doni will discuss personal terms with Liverpool and take a tour of the club's facilities before taking a medical on Thursday to complete the move.

The experienced shot-stopper will join the Reds as cover for No1 Pepe Reina.

05 Jul 2011 23:04:11
hi there. watched this site for a while many good posts but not everyone is correct... lol

my source tells me that kenny dalglish have been a keen admire of the former left wing at celtic. aiden mcgeady. he will be a second choice if the price of downing is not agreed. downing case is most likely to collaps because of the high asking price. mcgeady on the other hand would love to come back from russia.

the other news is that there is coming a big signing within 2 weeks. deal is almost completed. a very highly rated worldclass player. it is kept very silent... it will blow our minds...::)

I was told this afternoon that Villa will accept £17m. So it seems you will get your man before you go to Malaysia as long as you pay the extra £2m that they want.

Hello ed, it is true that Bal zs Dzsudzs k has signed for Russian side FC Anzhi Makhachkala? {Ed009's Note - I'm not sure whether its official as I haven't checked because its been clear for around a month he will move there - though I simply don't know why. Perhaps he wants to prove his pedigree one step at a time.}

Might be nothing but the last player i saw on you tube was suarez, at the time his name was mentioned but nothing concete about him signing. Brazilian diego is posted tonight on the liverpool echo page showing his abilities, could it be as with suarez kept quiet ish then 24 hrs later he signs. I like all liverpool fans are sick to death of the blackpool saga with adam and the villa downing.

05 Jul 2011 22:25:33
Hello ed, s

i heard liverpool will not buy downing because comolli
thinks he is not worth 20 milloin pound
and adam has had talks with liverpool .the reason for no activity in the transfer market lately is because comolli has been in spain having talks with antonia cotan
and king Kenny has been on holidays

05 Jul 2011 22:17:13
Jovanavic is avail on a free because we now have agreed a fee for Downing 15 mil rejected so we then agree between that and 20 mil prob gonna be about 17mil and will sign by end of the week. Expect news of medical etc tomorrow or thursday morning.

Ed002, in reply to you saying how much did the itk's say we had bid for aguero, they have not said we have bid or haven't and have never claimed we will get him. All they have said is that we will or have met with his representatives and are interested but probably won't get him. I know it is slim but it is nice thinking about signing top players rather than downing etc but i do understand your thoughts that a transfer to us is very unlikely {Ed002's Note - The earlier post intimated that an offer had been made. I can assure you that Liverpool have not met with his representatives although there were rumours of it about a month ago.}

05 Jul 2011 22:09:38
Ed do you think our chances to sign Honda are nil.
And is there any possibility to sign Arda turan. {Ed009's Note - We appear to have scuppered any chances of signing Honda when we failed to bid in January - at which time he was available for around 12 million. The player could still force a move, which looks likely, but his favoured destination looks like one of Spain or Italy. Turan's situation is something of an oddity. The player has long looked nailed on to join Atletico Madrid, but the transfer quite simply still hasn't happened. Whilst Kenny is a long term admirer of the player, who would crawl through glass to join us, we have not made a move. Perhaps that is due to his questionable injury record and lack of physical presence. Neither player looks overly likely.}

05 Jul 2011 22:01:43
Aquilani and Meireles + 15 mil for Alexis sanchez. Doubt he wants to come to LFC though

05 Jul 2011 22:00:56
£15 mil rejected for stewart downing next one will include ngog and £16.5 mil

What are peoples views on stockdale? I see swansea are interested. He is young, English and in my view talented. He would be a great back up to pepe if he would be happy to play second fiddle {Ed029's Note - Doni seems to be the choice right now)

05 Jul 2011 21:57:43
ed i have it from inside source that lfc are ready to bid 35 mil for a player but no names have been given my source is on the finance side wish i could be more specific

35 mill who do ye think it could be ED's in yer opinion {Ed009's Note - I think that this could well be a ploy so that if a signing in that region happens he can take all the plaudits. I can't see us spending more than 25 million on a player personally, unless a spectacular one becomes available that isn't at this moment. And before anyone says so - Aguero is a no.}

05 Jul 2011 21:57:18
Liverpool have apparently stopped chasing Adam, as Aquilani has returned.
Clichy and Enrique are/were a smoke screen for another LB[unknown at the moment]
Adam Johnson is a no go
Aaron Lennon is a no go[thank god]
Eden Hazard is a no go, although apparently we are still trying to sign him.
Juan Mata is a strong possibility
Sergio Aguero could happen if Liverpool decide to bid, interest is there but little contact has been made.

Just passing on what I've been told from a scout I know.

Matt

05 Jul 2011 21:56:27
Ed what do you think Liverpool would be in with a chance of getting Marcelo from Madrid could be available after they signed Contreo {Ed028's Note - Very slim chance, I'd say a 1 or 2/10}

05 Jul 2011 21:55:44
Hi Eds plse post on the rumours site. As I posted on here some time ago we have or are about to pull the plug on the adam and downing deals. My rumour (it is a rumour site after all) is that sissoko will be our next signing, Mata after he returns from international matches and one other will conclude our summers business

cheers eds great effort to keep this site running 24/7

Hol {Ed009's Note - thanks for the appreciation and honestly I can see what your saying coming true. Whilst I would still argue that Adam and Downing are our most likely signings, the outrageous demands and negotiation techniques of their respective clubs could see us moving on. I have also said many times that behind Downing and Adam, the most likely signings for those positions are Sissoko and Mata.}

05 Jul 2011 21:53:41
2nd Downing bid of £15m rejected. 1st offer was £12m. May offer ngog in exchange.

05 Jul 2011 21:48:56
What's the latest with Gervinho and Defour Ed?
Cheers, great site
Iker {Ed009's Note - Gervinho is very likely to sign for Arsenal. If reports coming out of Belgium are to be believed it is between Everton and Spartak Moscow for Defour. He could well stay though after he signed a new long term contact with Liege.}

05 Jul 2011 21:48:00
hi ed what do u reckon the chances of us signing cissokho, dann, sissoko and adam.do ya think are main target areas are lb cb lm cm and foward, nice1 {Ed009's Note - 3, 5, 4, 8. Left back, probably Enrique despite 'tapping up' problems. For centre back, most likely is Dann, centre mid Adam and I'm not entirely sure we'll sign a striker.}

05 Jul 2011 21:38:09
hi ed please post on rumours page.Is the aqualani rumours true about the training ground incident.Also if we were to sign mata how can he improve are team. {Ed009's Note - as far as I am aware this is a joke conceived by CaughtOffside, mocking the fact that he hasn't played for us and so wasn't recognised by the security staff and missed "76 attempts" at a penalty. Its nothing to worry about.}

05 Jul 2011 21:37:06
kenny fends off harry to secure the yorkshire duo...... liverpool and spurs are in talks with barnsley to sign both danny haynes and shot stopper luke steel.... luke impressed at anfield when the tykes knocked them out in there own back yard at anfield..... kenny has also mentioned on a few occasions having seen danny play that its all about danny haynes kenny feels he could develop both players with steel expected to be an immediate challage for the no1 shirt of pepe..... great signings in my opinion shows we've got more pull than spurs for the big names

Monaco midfielder Park Chu-Young has issued a come and get me plea to Liverpool - and insists he doesn't want to go anywhere else.

The South Korean captain will snub possible moves to AC Milan, Spurs and Paris St Germain to fulfil his boyhood dream and play for his hero Kenny Dalglish.

The 25-year-old is available for around £6million and, with Liverpool touring south-east Asia this summer, Young's arrival could not be timed any better from a commercial sense.

It's well known that Liverpool's shirt sponsors Standard Chartered are keen to see Asian players don the red shirt to help the bank exploit one of its biggest markets.

Standard's £20m-a-season sponsorship deal with Liverpool is one of the most lucrative in Premier League history, and Gavin Law, the group head of corporate affairs for Standard Chartered, said: "We would love the club to have players of nationalities from the markets in which we operate. Look what Park [Ji-sung] has done for [Manchester] United in terms of coverage in Korea.

"Liverpool are more aware than most other clubs we've spoken to of the commercial opportunity for them. If they can sell a million shirts with another Mr Park on the back, why wouldn't you?"

05 Jul 2011 21:30:21
Ed, do you think the rumours are true that we have pulled out of the race for Downing and are now after N'Zogbia?I would personally prefer N'Zogbia Do you rate him? {Ed009's Note - I would suggest the fact that we have not made any headway towards a deal for Downing in such a long time could suggest we are taking a more passive stance, and looking at other targets. There has always been a degree of interest in N'Zogbia in my opinion and I think he could be a very good player - if he didn't believe he already was.}

05 Jul 2011 21:32:00
The nearest player in style to tevez is suarez i just hope man city dont try nd tempt lfc with an offer they cant refuse, i would not sell him for any amount of money.

05 Jul 2011 21:30:53
Lazio announce availability of Mauro Zarate if 'an important offer arrives'. I'm not aware of any Prem interest yet but Lazio's announcement does suggest that they are preparing their fans for his departure - and that there's a buyer waiting to pounce. Would be a great signing for us, has Prem experience, right and left-sided forward to compliment Suarez, with Carroll in the middle. Here's hoping that we have an interest if Mata isn't happening. Zarate is 24 I believe.

05 Jul 2011 21:30:46
could liverpool be waiting for arsenal to sign enrique allowing us to move for aly cissokho as city and arsenal were the main threats for his signature.i personally dont believe we will sign enrqiue he is just no good enough.cissokho has the physicality and pace to fit right in and is on 22/23 worth the 20m lyon would want for him.DORSET RED

05 Jul 2011 21:33:57
With the supposed interest in Clichy, (man city) Ngog, now not going for now?, and Sissoko do we assume there is still some level of interest in Sissoko seeing as all three are agented by firsteleven.? JIm22

05 Jul 2011 21:26:15
I'm mates with marc albrighton and textd him earlier after hearing downing was putting in a transfer request and he has just text me back to say its true and he has made it well known it wants to come to anfield the only thing what will hold it up is the fee apparently we are miles apart, dazla

05 Jul 2011 21:09:34
Please King Kenny stretch the boat out to sign Van Persie from the Gooners (soon to be Goners) as it is stated he is unsettled with recent happenings there, also other players who are unhappy at their clubs are Adam Johnson from Man City and the Newcastle left back Enrique, lastly if Tevez is unhappy with life in Manchester I mean who wouldn't be i'm sure he would be much happier on Merseyside wearing the mighty Red shirt. I think next year the top 4 will be 1st Liverpool 2nd Chelsea 3rd Tottenham 4th Arsenal and two out of the three relegation spaces Man Utd and Man City, What are your thoughts Ed on the possible signings and who do you think we will definitely be signing

05 Jul 2011 20:59:27
Ed - heard on twitter Juan Mata has agreed terms with lfc now, post deleted soon after. Do you know anything more?

Cheers

Brownie {Ed002's Note - I am sorry, but no.}

05 Jul 2011 21:03:11
ed im not being impatient and i know it takes alot for a transfer but how long do you think untill there is more activity and do you think comolli is the right guy to help the king? {Ed029's Note - I would expect some transfer activity by the end of this week now that the players are back in training, but having said that I thought that the Adam deal was going to be done by now)

05 Jul 2011 20:47:45
Signed and sealed but who can it be just waiting for him to be delivered let's just wait until tomorrow keep your phones with u or check the news tomorrow around 12. Peace

05 Jul 2011 20:36:40
hi eds great site, on here about 5 times a day
who would you prefer adam or banega? imo i would take a punt on banega only a couple of mill more and a real quality player and do you think there is any chance of us buying him if adam deal fails? cheers eds for the great site keeps me going through the summer break {Ed029's Note - I would prefer Banega, but there is still a chance that we could get Adam and one other central midfielder, but it is more likely to be Sissoko)

05 Jul 2011 20:21:54
Dirk kuyt has told kenny to get robin van persie from arsenal he is unsettled with nasri and fabregas leaving and that clichy has gone an exodus at arsenal, watch this space

Ed you said liverpool cannot match the package made by juventus but why is that? No offense but unles you are john henry how do you know the financial situation of the club. Also many very reliable people on forums have said we are very interested and have bid and are very rarely wrong. I trust your information but how do you know we won't or can't match juventus's package? {Ed002's Note - It really is not worth the effort to raise this whole issue again. Regular posters are well aware of the situation and there is an evening's reading on the subject for you in the archives. I assume that the forums you mention are KopTalk and the like, I recommend you go there and follow the progress of Liverpool's purchase of the player. How much did Liverpool bid by the way? That would be interesting to know.}

05 Jul 2011 19:55:49
Someone mentioned him earlier Eds, and thinking about it, Royston Drenthe would be a good signing in my opinion. He is still young, unbelievably quick and can play left wing and left back. If we made an offer do you think we could get him Eds?

Also a lot of people are bieng negative and are worrying about the transfers going on. And I will be honest I am not totally comvinced by Downing, but we are also bieng linked with the likes of Mata and Carzola which is a decimate positive.

Fear not Reds. The King and Comolli know what they're doing.

KGB1892 {Ed002's Note - Drenthe can be bought.}

05 Jul 2011 19:49:07
Ed I've heard that we have bid £18m (20m euros) for Cazorla but have been told to wait until Villareal find a suitable replacement.
I assume that they would be willing to accept this bid?
I've heard this from multiple sources and would like to hear your input if you have any and if there is any truth to this rumour?
Thanx

Harry The Red {Ed002's Note - As I have previously answered, I expect him to move to Malaga for 23M euros or thereabouts. It is also pre-season, why would a club want to wait until a suitable replacement is found. He is leaving regardless.}

05 Jul 2011 19:48:24
my brother works in the tottenham shop and he has heard in the last 15 mins that kranjar and dos santos are on there way to liverpool for 10 million deal should be done soon

05 Jul 2011 19:32:15
can u enlighten us on any deals macca

05 Jul 2011 19:30:51
Liverpool will get enrique from newcastle for £5mill plus konckesky (link up with former mamager pardew), plus lennon for aquillani and j cole but harry redknapp wants a strait swap for glen johnson, watch this space Y..N..W..A

05 Jul 2011 19:23:32
We may not get Aguero (after all we are not in the CL which is a huge disadvantage), but why on earth would any player go to Juve when they get crowds of about 25000? At least he should go somewhere where he'd be appreciated and he'd sure be appreciated in front of full houses at Anfield {Ed002's Note - Juve have offered a deal that may be acceptable. Liverpool cannot match such a deal and have not even made a bid. It is simply a matter of the choices available to the player.}

05 Jul 2011 19:21:21
Ed, is there any truth to the belief that Demba Ba has a release clause on a free due to relegation?
If so, do you not think he would be an ideal back up, free move, cheapish wages, some prem experience, and causes problems in the air and a decent finisher?

Anfield Andy

{Ed006's Note - I can't see that being the case sorry. Would be a could player to have on a free though.}

05 Jul 2011 19:10:43
Good lord There we go again.
I raise my concerns about Comolli, and suddenly, I want him "out". Smh.
People, when yo criticise your lecturer, mentor, master etc, does that (necessarily) translate to you wanting them chucked out?
Of course.

All I'm doing is express my misgivings about the man. Is that a wrong thing to do?

Is it criminal of me to say that Comolli very nearly buggered up the Suarez transfer in January?
Didn't Comolli mess Ajax about offering derisory bids... and dragging the whole thing throughout the window?

Is it folly to think that, while our Monsier was dilly dallying about, a rival could easily have came in, put in the right bid and got the player?

Is it nonsense to suggest that, had Suarez had more options, we'd never today be dancing to tunes of "I just can't get enough"?

If you want to think the Suarez transfer was handle with such great finesse, by all means, be my guest.
I still maintain that our DoF turned the whole thing into a farce and dragged it out throughout the window.

And I'm concerned that we could be/are in for the same nonsense this window.
(I'm just waiting for the news to break that we've put in a 15m euros bid for Mata... yeah, you read that right, 15m euros.)

As for me being "gullible" and "needing" to "stop believing" what I read/hear in the media as LFC hasn't confirmed or said anything to corroborate reports, hilarious.

Since when does Kenny come out and say, "oh indeed, Rory, Ameobi is a player we're looking to buy and have placed a bid for him"?
The only thing LFC will say is that player X has signed or player D has been offloaded.

No commenting on rumours (true or otherwise).
So us, through our own contacts we're able to gather information about targets and movements, or lack thereof.
Sometimes the media also has the same info.

The media may be generally be full of drivel, but there ARE times when it's spot on.
Although prone to that odd falsehood, I'm actually far from being anything "gullible".

I'll give Comolli my support. He's LFC employee and so I owe it to.
But I won't ever hesitate to criticise or question him when I feel the need to do so.

Burmeister

05 Jul 2011 19:02:58
with Coentrao going to Real Madrid, Liverpool will sign a left sided player form Real, but not Marcelo...... It will be forgotten dutchman Royston Drenthe, initial loan deal with view to permanent one or a cutprice 4 {Ed002's Note - He was looking to go to Benfica in part exchange. He is certainly available and will likely be cheap. A good player as well.}

05 Jul 2011 19:00:44
Dear Eds,

Do you have any news linking us with Simon Kjaer? According to latest news he had fallen out with his manager at Wolfsburg and could be available for around 10m. He has stated before that he is a true LFC fan and would love an Anfield move. So what do you reckon? I think he would be a great pair with Skrtel or Agger(both of them Danish).

-Melwood Janitor {Ed002's Note - No one gets on with Magath. No links to Liverpool and my notes say Roma or possibly a longer stay in Germany with another side.}

05 Jul 2011 18:51:40
Ed, if Savic hasn't completed his move to Man City do you think he is actually pondering a move to Liverpool, do you know the story? Please reply and thanks a milion again {Ed002's Note - Stranger things have happened but I suspect a move to Manchester City is more likely.}

05 Jul 2011 18:52:10
Just got very good info from my brother friend (Steve Mcmanaman) as he still got contact with real madrid, Liverpool have put in a very big bid + raul meireles for Kaka. Anynews on that Ed? {Ed002's Note - Surprisingly no.}

05 Jul 2011 18:50:12
Liverpool will spend 22.5 million to land Real Madrid link Yoann Gourcuff from Lyon to beat Madrid's offer of 20m which was rejected as his buyout clause is 22.5 million and Lyon will not go below his clause.

Keep an eye out on this fast moving transfer for the highly rated Lyon attacking midfielder who is 24 years of age.

05 Jul 2011 18:38:22
USA under-17 international Marc Pelosi has claimed he has received an offer from Liverpool FC. Ed is this true, how good is he? {Ed002's Note - Sorry, I might be American but I know less about the American kids than I do about the kids here in England. I can't even tell you his club without looking it up.}

05 Jul 2011 18:36:32
with coentio going madrid surely marcelo wont play liverpool will be looking to invest in him during this month for a possible 10m move {Ed002's Note - Marcelo is not up for sale. Perhaps a large offer may tempt real Madrid though.}

05 Jul 2011 18:34:59
LIVERPOOL FC are being linked with a move for £20m-rated Brazilian playmaker Diego. We have put in a bid, waiting for respond from Wolfsburg, any news on that Ed? {Ed002's Note - I am guessing you have stumbled over an old article or recycled news. Diego is available for a minimum of 10M euros and has an agent hawking him around Europe and South America. The only way the price will rise is if multiple clubs show an interest. Sporting Lisbon, Galatasaray, Botofogo, Lazio and others will need to be beaten to his signature if Liverpool are going to get Diego. Whilst there is clear interest I don't know if Liverpool are any any sort of talks with the player himself. As an aside, I would question whether Liverpool should take a risk on a player who was thrown out of Juventus after a year (Juve taking a £10M loss on the transfer) and who has since walked out on Wolfsburg three times this year, been find £400k and is now being sold on for 10M euros? I appreciate the situation at Wolfsburg is dire under Magath and the new regime. It would be high risk and I am not sure where he would fit in unless a central midfield player is leaving. But a decent chance on the move going ahead and a talent when he has his head on straight. So there is a chance.}

05 Jul 2011 18:34:58
Ed can you see us signing Cazorla and Mata or would it be one or the other coming in.

I'm aware we have serious interest in both players and I'd be made up if we got both as we would have two quality wide men for a change. {Ed002's Note - Cazorla is bound, almost certainly, for Malaga for 23M euros or so. Mata may leave Valencia. There is certainly interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs in Juan Mata, and Valencia are still preparing for next season without the player. However, interest is also being shown by Chelsea Manchester United and Manchester City. Barcelona may well also become interested at some point and if they do show their hand I feel he could move there. Manchester City were reportedly heading the queue but had an offer rejected and Arsenal appear to be preparing an offer themselves. It would not be entirely out of the question that Liverpool or Manchester United could push for the player and make a concerted effort to match any other offer; and then there is a chance Mata could join either. In order to get the best deal, Valencia wanted to wait (a) to see if Barcelona show an interest; (b) until after the Under 21 Championships where he could well put in a very good performance. A player exchange for David Villa if Barcelona sign Alexis Sanchez is also not out of the question in my view and a large bid from Manchester City may see them reenter proceedings.}

Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Lyon winger Michel Bastos, according to reports in France.

The 27-year-old Brazilian had looked set to stay with Lyon after a move to Juventus collapsed, but the Blues could be prepared to meet the £12m asking price for the player.

Bastos can play on the left-wing or at left-back and his arrival could pave the way for Yuri Zhirkov to leave Stamford Bridge.

He has also been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool.

SOURCE:THE MIRROR

eds - 1st, is this true and 2nd, if so is there a chance that we will put in a bid as he wud more than solve our winger problem and with him and g.johnson as full bks carroll wud have a field day...

BigD.. {Ed002's Note - I suspect he will not go to Chelsea, and if Chelsea did approach Lyon then I would expect the price will go up. I also don't think Liverpool are in the market for a player at the price that would likely be asked who will soon be 28. Sorry. He has been expected to go to Juventus after Barcelona dropped their interest.}

It will be very interesting to see if Man City get a work permit for Savic, seeing as he only has 6 apps for his country.

Given the apparent work permit issues that would have affected our supposed interest in Lovren.

And has Jovanovic been released or is he still on our wage bill?

RedSG {Ed002's Note - Jovanovic remains on the wage bill but is available on a free transfer.}

Ed i know the eds have said that we are not looking for a big name striker, but if we play 433 then a player like aguero or lavezzi would be perfect for that role. Then we could have a player like mata and we would have 5 players(aguero, mata, suarez, carrol, kuyt) fighting for 3 places. I know it is probably just a dream but do you think we might be interested in aguero as even guillium balague said we were just after aguero said he wanted to leave but said wages would be an issue. Just wondered what you thought ed? {Ed002's Note - I really don't see Aguero at Liverpool next year I am afraid. At least I am consistent in my reply though.}

05 Jul 2011 18:02:00
Eds, are we still interested in Hoarau?

Chi-Paul {Ed009's Note - Hoarau is of interest to a number of teams, but any interest we had would seemed to have died out. I can't see the player moving here this window.}

05 Jul 2011 17:56:48
ed i have it from inside source that lfc are ready to bid 35 mil for a player but no names have been given my source is on the finance side wish i could be more specific {Ed009's Note - just tell us anymore when you get it then mate.}

05 Jul 2011 17:45:58
ed, i am sick to the teeth of hearing about every tom , dick and harry roumered to be coming to liverpool this summer. i know Downing, Adam, Izaguire, Dann and Gyan will be at Anfield before the season starts, Big TITLE chalange next season, cant wait........

We have made a bid for Santi Cazorla which will be accepted as soon as they get a replacement.

Matt Wollacott

05 Jul 2011 17:09:34
Ed, do you actually have any inside information for us, as you often shoot people down in flames however the only players you ever associate with us are Downing and Adam, which is pretty common knowledge.
Inside info please Ed? {Ed028's Note - I know we are closely monitoring Carzola, other than that nothing, sorry!}

05 Jul 2011 17:23:23
just heard we have signed mata on a 5 year deal and we are paying 22mill

05 Jul 2011 17:21:42
I getting a little nervous about possible signings this summer...i know there is no need to panic yet but we'd better start getting rid of players who are'nt good enough or just dont want to stay to make room..maybe then we will see some players coming in...imo we need a left back, centre back, two right and two left wide men, a central defensive playmaker and a forward...EDs..how do you rate these going to lfc....
lb..baines £18m bluenoses
cb..vertoghen£15m..ajax
r/lm..downing£18m...villa
l/cm..adam£9m..bpool
c/dm..matuidi£14m..ettienne

Take this with a pinch of salt lads but Talk gobsh8 sport have said that Park Chu-Young (Monaco) has issued a come and get me plea to LFC and is reportedly available for £6m. He has heard about Jovanovich reported salary which according to our Ed is close to £120k a week once you include his signing on fee whcihis spread through the term of his contract. This equates to £7m a year once you include NI contributions of 13.8% Reality Red

So we were trying to "hijack" that Savic bloke, huh?
I wonder what that says about Comolli then.

So we scouted this player and decided that we'd go in for him but elected not to get the deal sealed asap. City come in; (try to) do a deal for the player; we realise this and try to intervene but it's already too late.

No proactiveness. No initiative. And there are people on here who are constantly preaching the "things are happening behind closed doors" verse.

For me this Savic thing is particularly significant for two: it's showed Comolli's strengths (ability to identify talent) and weakeness (lack of proactiveness, decisiveness and initiative).

As I said earlier, Savic was likely scouted probably over a long
duration of time.
So one would ask: why didn't we move in earlier and seal the deal?

Same thing with Matuidi. We know the player is liked and wanted.
Player is keen. Deal should have long been done.
But no, sweet Comolli does what he does best: dilly dally.
Arsenal will move in for Blaise and we'll again see the desperate, embarrasing nonsense we saw with Savic.

If he's not insulting targets and their clubs around Europe with paltry, derisory offers, he's dithering.
And people are crucifying whoever casts doubt on the man.

I know Comolli should be trusted to do his work, but I find that difficult to do when the man gives me little encouraging to trust him.

In addition to Comolli, what ticks me off are those fans who dismiss fellow LFC fans as "Mancs in disguise"/ "not real supporters" when they dare to express a vastly different opinion, be it on Kenny, the owners etc.

What? Are we now fascist? Are we not to dare express a (stinging, but valid) criticism?

Just last night there's a bloke who question my "supportership" because I'd said that to me, it doesn't matter whether Suarez kisses the badge or not when he scores.

There are many such examples here where the proverbial "you're not a real supporter" banner gets brandished.
If only your Bob the Reds would care to describe to us how a "real" supporter thinks and acts.
(Is he perhaps a "yes man". In which case I wouldn't envy him one iota.)

Sorry the other young kid was that Lloyd Jones the reason I said Sinclair because he is highly rated by Dalglish and by Liverpool because he's been watched loads of times

05 Jul 2011 16:47:21
Hi Ed, it would appear Niko Kranjcar could be available if the right offer comes in. ( I appreciate spurs value this player nearer the 10m mark...) I know his name has been mentioned in the past linking him as a potential target. Just wondered what your thoughts were on him?

Cheers
Red Dave {Ed009's Note - he's a fairly good player but nothing like good enough to trouble or starting 11 and I doubt very much he would want to swap Tottenham's bench for ours.}

Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero has confirmed that Juventus have made an offer for his services.

News:
Barcelona's Jeffren does not want to join Udinese as a makeweight in the deal for Alexis Sanchez and would prefer to either stay in Spain or move to the Premier League after he was linked with Liverpool.

From SSN:
Barcelona winger Pedro has agreed to sign a one-year contract extension to stay at Camp Nou until 2016, while his release clause will rise to 150million (£134m). Another one for the dreamers to cross off the list then

ed's who are the targets for the RW i keep hearing about CM, ST, LW, LB, CB and even GK but know RW {Ed002's Note - Perhaps Johnson will become a target. Payet was certainly a target but he has moved to Lille.}

05 Jul 2011 16:30:01
Hi ed,

The other youngster Liverpool signed was Llyod Jones.

park chu-young has issued a come and get me plea to liverpool and boy-hood hero kenny dalglish and doesnt want to sign for any other team {Ed002's Note - Park Chu Young was five when Dalglish retired at close to 40 - I can't see how he would be his "boy hood hero". Lille, AC Milan and Sevilla have shown interest in the player who has stated he wants Champions League football. It would be a great deal for the club if he could be persuaded to join.}

05 Jul 2011 16:22:17
Hi ed the other youngster you were reffering too was Jerome Sinclair he's my friends mate. {Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

ed i thought this was going to be a busy summer for us?
so far it's other team's that seem to be doing more business than us have you any idea of any player's that might be coming in( panic station ) {Ed001's Note - we have brought in 3 players already and a coach, what are you on about? The window closes on August 31st you do realise that right?}

I remember only henderson. Who are the other two? Or are u talkin about Jamuary? {Ed002's Note - It was a couple of kids - O'Hanlon and I can't recall the other one.}

05 Jul 2011 15:57:14
With all this talk over Cahill / Dann etc, i'm personally not sure why noone has been sniffing around Hangeland, would be a cheaper option and as far as i'm concerned a better option to what we have at the moment.

05 Jul 2011 15:53:33
well ed , just heard that spurs might hijack liverpool target downing if lennons proposed move to Malaga goes through.

05 Jul 2011 16:08:44
Eds - With coentrao going to real madrid did Liverpool ever have a chance of obtaining such a player. He was the LB perfect to fill that hole we have but when real showed an interest it was like LFC gaveup. Do we fight enough for player signatures or just stop when someone just as famous as a club show interest.
(Shrifty) {Ed009's Note - Coentrao was always a 0 out of 10 to join Liverpool Im afraid. He has known for a long time who would probably get a move to his dream club of Madrid.}

05 Jul 2011 15:49:58
i hear redknapp is open to re talking about joe cole going to thfc? could this be a lennon conversation or we just looking at getting rid?

whats your thoughts? oooo its my 1st post so please post {Ed009's Note - we are happy to let Cole go if we get any sort of decent offer and I very much doubt Lennon will be moving the other way. He is far from good enough for our club and whats more he has insulted the city and its people.}

Ed01, Why do you not rate Aquilani ? He is far from a flop Personally I would take him over Adam anyday. I wanna hear your opinion. {Ed002's Note - Ed01 is not around, but the problem with Aquilani is that he does not want to play for Liverpool. As such, the club are happy to see him move on.}

How do you know he doesn't want to play for the club ? He has never stated at that If everyone was telling him he was a flop (which he wasn't) he's gonna want to leave if he's given some games in pre-season and Dalgleish speaks with him he will stay and become a important player for us. {Ed009's Note - his agent has consistently offered the player's services to basically every Italian team, in a desperation to have him playing anywhere else next season. Perhaps he has changed his mind as we all can, but I can't see it.}

I have just spoke to Ryan Lowe, who is one of Gerrards best mates, he says liverpool will be looking to buy Sturridge or Mata or Johnson which are all left footed for left wing position.

05 Jul 2011 15:40:08
At least one good news on the transfer front. Jovanovic has been handed a letter that he's free to leave and start looking for another club and it seems Olympiakos are interested. good riddance I must say though our transfer window is so boring.

05 Jul 2011 15:39:04
Liverpool to sign real madrids for 7million with a 18million buy back clause and they will sign zahno ananidze for 4million rising to 8million.
What do you think ed's?
Cheers {Ed009's Note - Real Madrid's who mate? There seems to be some interest in the latter player but Spartak's president has insisted he will not be sold until he is at least 20.}

What CB's are liverpool actively looking at besides players of scott danns caliber. Is there much foreign players on the radar.Just wondering if you ed's know of anyone not english CB wise. {Ed009's Note - we have previously looked at Sakho and I believe Zapata, who are very good centre backs. But Dann is a very capable centre back too and he should not be dismissed.}

Reports have been seen on footmercato.net that Paris St. Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau has been offered to Liverpool, as well as two other unnamed Premier League sides. {Ed002's Note - Hoarau was offered to Liverpool and close to joining in January. This may be an old story being recycled.}

05 Jul 2011 15:08:26
Eds is there any chance of Bojan coming to us. Just seen on LFC TV that Barcelona are willing to accept £14 million which is an acceptable price. He also seems like a good prospect for the future. {Ed009's Note - the player looks like he could sign for Roma and unfortunately I can't see us spending 14 million on a striker when other areas of the team need work.}

05 Jul 2011 15:08:17
Javi martinez has submitted a transfer request and has been offered to liverpool to manchester united for £6.75million .
United have offered him a contract while liverpool are yet to consider the offer as the dead wood have nt been sold yet. Expect Meireles to be sold. {Ed009's Note - so we'd say no to signing a fantastic young midfielder for 6.75 million when we're attempting to sign Adam for around 10 million? You really would have to question the decision making there.}

05 Jul 2011 15:01:28
liverpool are just about to offer a bid of around 25 mil for benzema likely to be rejected but liverpool will increase bid up to about 30 mil for the striker.
we also want zigic for a free, david templeton for 3mil ment to be the next big thing. {Ed009's Note - we're going to buy two more strikers? Highly doubt it.}

Liverpool will make a bid for defender Scott Dann as Kenny Dalglish believes Liverpool will be back in the Champions League if they sign a top defender.

Also Liverpool will sign midfielder Liam Lawerence from Portsmouth to occupy a right wing role where he has been very successful in just 1 season.

ED, Any chance Liverpool have any interest in MARCELO off Real Madrid now it appears that they have sign Fabio Coentrao {Ed002's Note - I really do not see it happening, sorry. I don't expect Marcelo will be sold this year.}

05 Jul 2011 14:02:28
The reason we have not yet signed a left back, is because we were waiting for Madrid to make their move for Coentrao.

I may be putting my head on the block to be ridiculed here, but now that they have signed Coentrao, Liverpool will sign Marcelo. Thats why Comolli has been a frequent visitor to Madrid.

Marcelo is attacking and can also play on the wing, which make him attractive to DC & KK. £12-15m should secure the transfer.

I know you've said that Cazorla looks set to join malaga but according to
www.mirrorfootball.co.uk. There still seems to be a chance, what do u make of this Ed's?
Regards,
Jack the lad {Ed009's Note - Malaga are still favourites for his signature as far as I know but that does not stop Liverpool from placing a bid and potentially hijacking the transfer. It is important to remember though that the Mirror are far from the best of sources.}

05 Jul 2011 13:09:22
Ed, are El Zhar and Degan out of contract or why have they not joined the rest of te squad? And where was Kuyt and Reina yesterday? {Ed009's Note - Degen is out of contract I believe, but El Zhar has a year left on his I am afraid. I'm not aware of the whereabouts of every Liverpool player I'm afraid, perhaps Pepe was having a bad hair day so didn't want any photos taken?}

05 Jul 2011 13:43:45
Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Valencia have upped their interest for Pablo Piatti once again. He is considered to be a replacement of Joaquin, but his position is much more similar to Juan Mata's - left and center. Could be a potential replacement for a leaving Mata?

Greetings from Bulgaria, great site
Drigan {Ed028's Note - Thankyou, Mata remains a possibility}

05 Jul 2011 13:29:28
hi ed, do you think if we did sign downing, it would rule out a move for mata?
i'd be surprised to see us spend 20 million twice more, but i'd be much happier about getting downing if he wasn't arriving as our big signing of the summer.

cheers {Ed009's Note - I think getting we could potentially get both players as they are very different in their styles of play and both can play on the right just as well. Mata can even play just off the striker.}

05 Jul 2011 13:19:05
Stefan Savic is at City now having medical so unlikely to sign for us. We have enough good young defenders of our own. Lets give them a chance. If we get Adam we just need two world class wingers and we will go close this year

ED, which one you think is marquee signing for LFC this summer?
Juan mata.Aguero.Gomez.Vargas.Sissoko.orDowning

madLFC {Ed009's Note - I don't think there will be a 'marquee signing' full stop. That term is subjective and players will be signed on suitability not wow factor. Out of those players, the only ones I can see signing are Downing, Sissoko, Mata and Vargas. That's roughly in descending order of likelihood too.}

05 Jul 2011 12:34:46

SSN's State that Stevie G ruled out of our pre season tour of Asia, saying he must continue his rehabilitation at Melwood to be ready for new season. On the official site it says that he is making great progress.}

05 Jul 2011 12:10:09
who are liverpool goin to buy ed??? {Ed009's Note - that is a question which nobody in the world, not even Kenny Dalglish, could answer. There are players we have interest in to different degrees, but it is impossible to predict hiccups. I would have said Marveaux but we all saw what happened. Downing and Adam remain possible, with a chance of Mata as well.}

Eds any truth in the rumours that chris mavinga and david ngog are on there way out ?

05 Jul 2011 12:07:57
Fulham showing an interest in buying Thomas Ince, In my opinion he is a quality young player and obviously has the pedigree to reach the top and I hope it is with us. Maybe a loan deal would be better so he can learn his trade at the highest level, If he doesnt reach expectations then sell. Why should someone else benefit from us if he turns out top draw.......Do you agree or not eds....
WELSHRED {Ed009's Note - I think he seems like a decent prospect but nothing like on par with our best young players and he has consistently angled for a bigger wage. Perhaps it would be in the clubs best interest to tell him to either accept the same as everyone else, or move on.}

Liverpool will make an £8million bid for Partizan Belgrade defender Stefan Savic but will face competition from Manchester City.

The 20-year-old looked all set for a move to the Eastlands but the Reds late bid for him may change his mind.

Savic arrived in England on Monday evening ahead of a planned medical with City, whilst talks over a potential £6million deal continued.

But Liverpool have offered more money to the Serbian club in an attempt to hijack the deal and steal the Montenegro international from under City's noses, according to Sky Sports.

Perhaps signing Henderson so early in the transfer market was the perfect opportunity for Kenny to put up the smokescreen of only wanting to sign young Premier experienced players.
So the real targets could be?
What do you think? is he clever enough to put that out there.

Eds people are talking about the deadwood and include joe cole in that bracket.He has played at the highest level before.Ok he had a bad season but you do not become a bad player overnight.Steven Gerrard had two bad seasons(when not injured) we are not trying to sell him and he is three years older than cole.I think cole could do a job for us now steve clarke will get a full pre season with him.He knows this player well.What do you think eds?(RD.RED) {Ed002's Note - I am not convinced he will be leaving. If a good offer comes and he wants to go, perhaps the club will strike a deal to let him.}

eds, there is a crazy Rumour going around that Neymar has signed a pre contract agreement with us . He allegedly will come to us in January because he wants to play in the club world cup competition in December first. Would like to hear your opinion on this.............. WELSHRED

{Ed002's Note - It is of course rubbish. Neymar is contracted to Santos and is therefore not allowed to sign pre-contract agreements.}

I don't recall having seen him play and he actually does not even appear in our database. So there is no way I can give an opinion as to how good he is I am afraid.}

ed any chance that we will get naymer ?

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, no chance. Neymar's transfer is going to drag on all summer - Chelsea looked close then Barcelona enquired. Real Madrid looked close now Tevez is for sale and they say Neymar is worth only 15M euros not the 45M euroes being asked. Perhaps we are back to Chelsea being favourites again?}

Hi Ed's and everyone else, Great site lads, i have been addicted for a couple of years (especially in preseason) checking in 3-4 times a day to get my fix. I have never posted anything in all them visits, but i must admit All this "Another target we missed", "KK and DC are too slow" is really begin to annoy me... All these people reading too many lazy main stream reports... Simple fact is (if you only take official statements from the club into account) We are doing our business behind closed doors and although we may have made the odd phone call about the odd player that doesn't mean we where in for them and there for haven't lost out on them. Sit back, take a chill pill and relax people, Kenny and DC will get the players Kenny wants in, this is only the start of King Kenny V2.0.
Now this is not a rumor, The lolly pop lady out side melwood doesn't know my mother and mentioned this over tea and nor Does my Dad know everyone in football, not even an agent but it is based on my 30+ years as a LFC supporter and what i would consider a good knowledge of the Liverpool way as well as having been so starved of Football that i must have read 90% of the crappy news story's since may, i really think that the big signing been kept quite is Naymar from Santos, i have no evidence for this other than he fits the bill and hasn't really been mentioned... Any chance in your opinion's Ed's? {Ed009's Note - As far as I am aware there is no interest in the player who himself would like a move to Chelsea. That in itself makes me say that there is little chance, but if we were to make a huge bid for him and nobody else did, I suppose it could be the surprise signing.}

Skysports.com understands Blackpool have placed a £9million price tag on midfield star Charlie Adam.

Adam is one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League following Blackpool's relegation to the Championship.

The Scotland international is thought to be keen on staying in the top flight and a number of clubs are chasing his signature.

Liverpool are thought to be leading the race for Adam after having a couple of bids rejected for his services during the January transfer window.

Aston Villa and Tottenham are also thought to be keen on Adam and they are monitoring his situation at Bloomfield Road.

Blackpool are resigned to losing Adam, but they are holding out for the highest offer for the former Rangers man.

The Seasiders are thought to have informed Adam's suitors it will take a fee of £9million for them to let the classy playmaker leave this summer.

Liverpool are thought to be reluctant to meet the fee, but they are expected to increase their efforts to land the Scotland international in the next few days.

Ed, a few observations. Our wage bill is clearly very inefficient. To be paying huge sums to players who do not meaningfully contribute to the first team is nonsensical. We have several senior players who fit this criteria including Pouslen, Knochesky, Cole, Jovanovich. They all need to be moved on. Our ranks are also inefficiently swollen by a number of second rate younger players in the 19 to 23 age bracket who are not good enough to be in the first 11. Their wages need to be freed up (some of it to be of redistributed to the young under 18's who have the ability to make the breakthrough). The likes of Ngog, Mavinga, El Zahar come to mind. Whilst J Henry and co may be willing to bankroll the transfer fees for 2-3 quality new signings, they are unlikely to additionally be willing to bankroll the wages for such signings which over 4 years would be very significant additional sums. It is clear to me that as an absolute priority some of the deadwood need to be moved on to free up wages for new signings. We are not Man Citeh. We need to live within our means as otherwise we will be creating a future debt problem. J Henry is of course putting a great effort into increasing our turnover (which his team are experts at doing) and will after great consideration reach the right decision on redeveloping Anfield or a building a new stadium. In the meantime we really do need to shift the deadwood and replace them with players who meaningfully improve the first 11. This summer we should celebrate the moving on of any deadwood as if it were a new signing. If Charlie Adam is the right player for us, do you think that we would argue over £1m in transfer fees. Sometimes you need to pay a little over the odds to get what you want. The big picture issue is that we need to ensure that the overall wage burden decreases. If today's reports that Ngog, Jovanovich and Mavinga are on the way out are true its a meaningful start. Its seems just a matter of time too before Knochesky departs (to his credit he just wants to play rather than collect wages). With a bit of luck Cole and Poulsen will follow them out of the door in the not too distant future. Aquilani and Meireles are also both for sale at the right price. They would raise over £20m in transfer fees which KK and DC could re-invest in a couple of younger players of greater talent who would be on lesser wages. Reality Red {Ed002's Note - I think most people would agree that players who are never going to contribute to the first team need to move on and a number of other players who are part of the first team squad need to be moved on as their wages are high and their age means there will be little or no return on them. However, this is by no means an easy task and it could prove very costly to the club. Letting Jovanovic leave on a free transfer will likely cost in the region of £1.5M in hard cash to pay up his signing on fee. For Joe Cole the cost would be higher, but if the club could get a few million for him it would offset it (if he is to leave). Cancelling contracts of the likes of El Zhar could be even more costly as their wages need to be paid up and his are £30k plus per week as an example. I imagine this is going to be a busy week at Melwood.}

Here's something to muse over - Sunderland's Asamoah Gyan COULD be available He's under 25 and has EPL experience so he fits the bill...

I have no evidence to suggest a move, other than the fact that his agent has said that he might not be staying at Sunderland...

Could it be that we let them have Connor Wickham with the understanding that we'd get Gyan? Maybe Ngog will go there as part of the deal after all?
Maybe I've just added 2 + 2 and come up with 5 Who knows :)

Hi Ed, just wondering why havent Christian Poulsen & Konchesky haven't been asked to find clubs. I hope they leaves too. By the look of it so far Poulsen haven't been told he has no future at LFC. Poulsen & Konchesky is far worse then Jovanovic. Sorry for him for not making it at LFC. There is still more deadwood who needs to be shipped out, Joe Cole, Ngog, Kyrgiakos, Brad Jones + the likes of Insua, Degen, El Zahar, Eccelston, Amoo, Darby & Aquaman. {Ed002's Note - I expect Konchesky will be moving on shortly. Poulsen I am not so sure about. I am pretty sure much will be happening this week to figure such matters out no that teh players are back at the club.}

05 Jul 2011 09:59:33
Call me old fashioned....but I think the dragging on of the Adam / Downing saga is tiresome. Old purple nose identified who he wanted and went and got them...only swift incisive dealings will ensure that we get the players that KK & DC identify.

On another note....Thommo was right, we will get Enrique and the Clichy thing was a smoescreen

05 Jul 2011 09:32:33
Can someone clear up the jova situation, is he free to find a new club i.e. transfer listed or has he had his contract cancelled? I'm sure there were a few clubs interested in signing him on loan in january with a view to a purchase {Ed002's Note - He is available on a free transfer - which means Liverpool will lose money, but nothing like as much as they would if his contract was terminated.}

Dear Eds,

What are the chances of Aquilani staying? is this why the Adam deal has not been done yet? What is your opinion of the player as a footballer (and not whether he wants to play for liverpool or not)

Thanks {Ed002's Note - LIverpool are trying very hard to move him on with an asking price of 10M euros. I suspect he will have gone by the end of the transfer window.}

Aly Cissokho, Mata and Hazard all being stronglt linked with Arsenal now. We need to start moving on these quality players before we miss out. If we want Mata an offer should have been made by now, or are we just waiting as Downing is priority on the wing?

05 Jul 2011 07:57:37
this was taken from the BBC website this morning:

Wenger will aim to show Arsenal fans that the club still have ambition by making big money offers for Lille playmaker Eden Hazard, Valencia attacker Juan Mata and Lyon defender Aly Cissokho.

Now, We lost out on Jones, Young, Clichy, Marveoux, Wickham and now possibly Our main target Mata. I have faith in KK but if we continue to lose out on our targets then surely we will only end up with paying ver the odss for average players. If were going to pay near on £20m for downing then surely you paid the extra £5 or £6m to get Mata. Despite having the second best record for the second half of last season i still felt that there were times where we never looked comfortable.(Blackpool) I hope owners pay big to get big players, only i think its fair to say that some players arent fit to wear the shirt.

Also i would like to mention that a few weeks back i got slaughtered on hear for asking a question in relation to transfers. I asked if anyone thought that we had to sell before we could buy, i got a lot of stick about that. So far nobody has come in and all the talk is about moving players on. I know everyone has a price, but surely we must have ambition to sign the worlds best players, because at the moment the league suggests that were the 6th best team in the country and already the scummers have already strengthend there squads.

To answer all your questions you may have about Daniel Sturridge

Dan will ask Chelsea about his future this week and wants to know if he is part of the 1st team plans this season. He does not want another loan move but a permanent move to establish a career, he wants Liverpool (Henderson, Carroll, FAN) but does not think Liverpool will match Chelseas asking price or even consider selling to Liverpool.

But can say now if he goes somewhere this summer it will not be a loan move I hope its Liverpool free tickets

Hi all,

My mates dad knows alot of people in the game and often has a few inside bits of info on whos moving where etc...

Saw him tonight for the first time in a long while and he told me that in January liverpool had agreed a fee for Ricky vanwolfswinkel and that the only reason he had not joined was due to the shoulder injury he sustained against us he seems to think that the deal will go through this summer

I know its not the Aguero deal the dreamers are hoping for but might not be the worst deal every the kids young can finish well good turn of pass and would probably kill for the move

Any thoughts anyone? Eds?

Downing&Lennon are coming. Aquilani to Spurs+cash. Mata will end up in Chelsky as well as Walcott. We might sign Enrique only if Barca doesn't get him first. I really hope KK knows what he's doing

This is taken from Marca...spanish sports paper...they say at the end that there are only 3 clubs looking at Mata, Liverpool not mentioned.....also they say that they would need a minimum of 25m euros to start negotiations......

For me Mata would give us a player that can control the flow of play infront of the midfiled and support the forwards....come KK get us thus man...

Si finalmente el Barcelona descarta la opci n del 10 del Valencia, por el fichaje de Cesc F bregas, en la Premier hay tres equipos que tienen a Mata en su agenda: Arsenal, Chelsea y Tottenham {Ed001's Note - Marca is not very reliable, it is just a tabloid.}

Now will everyone calm down. The offical(and unofficial) stance on targets or possible transfers is that Liverpool are not leaking anything out. People who work for the club and others who have an interest have been told in no nonsense language to keep everything quiet. No information is to be allowed out. Scources who normally get information, including some well known journalists cannot get a peep. Seems like the old way of doing things or something big is happening. we will all have to wait im affraid. Only about 6 or 7 weeks to go anyway.

Hey Ed's you heard anything about Pepe leaving us if Doni joins i keep hearing rumours, however I really doubt he would leave us after him saying he doesnt want to. Can you shed any light on the situation

Liverpool Sam {Ed009's Note - Doni is only being looked at as a back up Considering Brad Jones' tragic situation, he has been allowed to leave on a free and we need a replacement, that is all.}

04 Jul 2011 23:45:53
Ed i cant understand why liverpool are not interested in Scott Dann any more, we need cover and he is a pool fan and has to be worth the money..proven young English centre back...ticks all the boxes? what do you think? {Ed009's Note - he is one of my favourite centre backs around, and would be available for relatively cheap. It beats me why we haven't gone in for the player, but we still have lots of time, and it is likely other positions are of a higher priority.}
