Ed wat st r we most likely 2nget {Ed002's Note - It would be conjecture, but I would still not be surprised if interest in Gervinho still existed.}

Liverpool wil already have set up a short-list of who to sign nd relevant back-ups.
GK-Thers strng sources suggesting Reina is stayng, Douchez is a possibility fr 2nd choice, on free.
CB-I think we shud only sign 1 if we sell eithr skrtel or agger (prefered, injury prone). i'd go fr Sakho~£16M, or Phil Jones~£8M.
LB-I'd like Izzaguire/ Cissokho bt Enrique looks dne ~£12, hes decent engh.
Eithr a CDM/ CM. MVila~£15M / Mousa Sissoko~£12M, Adam cud happen~£8M (not the best imo bt i'l trust KK if he goes with hm)
3 wingers, Sylvian Marveaux looks a dne deal, on free. LM/ LF, Adam Johnson wud b a dream~£18M or back up Dzudzsak/ Perotti bth ~£14M, nd eithr A.Young fr ~£18M or Payet (my choice) fr ~£9M.
CF-Kenny wantd 3 top strikers, Balague is contradictive with saying we're nt aftr a ST then saying we mght b tracking osvaldo bt he could b right, Kuyt hs stepped up to plate nd perhps we mght gt a mre raw talent when it cmes to ST lyk Munian.
Douchez
Enrique
P.Jones
MVila
A.Johnson
Payet

Total~£70M

Liverpool are lining up bids for Juan Mata (19m) and Karim Benzema (21m). These 2, if things go according to plan, will be the marquee signings this summer. Ashley Young and Jose Enrique are effectively done deals. Kenny is also keeping a close eye on the situation with Adam Johnson at Man City. From what I know, he wants to leave as he is fed up of Mancini. Kenny originally wanted Stewart Downing but he rates Johnson much higher than Downing and is prepared to make a bid in the region of 16m. Also a lot of interest in Gary Cahill and Phil Jones as They have been put off by PSG's asking price of 17m for Mamadou Sakho. Expect at least 1 new midfieler added to the ranks with Moussa Sissoko, Nigel De Jong, Lassana Diarra and Charlie Adam being possibilities.

Hi ed, do we have any chance of juan mata? is there any interest from our end? he may be tempted to mpve because of the manager and money situation at his current club {Ed002's Note - Valencia may be preparing for life after Mata. Although there is no known solid interest at the moment, it would not be entirely out of the question that the club could move for the player. If pressed to name a possible surprise signing I would probably suggest Mata.}

Why is there no rumour linking us to Royston Drenthe. he was heavily linked to us last year and he even posted his arrival to Liverpool on face book. Here is what came across on Dutch website. . Liverpool will take over Royston Drenthe of Real Madrid, know the Spanish newspaper Marca reported today. The former club Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt has asked the people of Madrid Drenthe to take over. Liverpool is looking for cheap reinforcements, the club is in financial trouble.
Drenthe to Madrid left in 2007 and played 45 games so far and it hit the target twice. Drenthe could move to England to find his compatriots he is Dirk Kuyt.

The possible transfer of Royston Drenthe is favorable for Feyenoord Rotterdam went through the many youth teams in the Feyenoord stadium club and can therefore count on a substantial training fee.

Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli is returning to his former club in an effort to land coveted teenager Idriss Saadi, according to reports.

The talented French U19 international has been earning rave reviews after an impressive debut season in Ligue 1, leading to a number of clubs across Europe taking an interest in the player.

Comolli, who used to be sports director at Saadi's current club St. Etienne, has been made aware of the player through his contacts in France and is eager to add the striker to the Liverpool ranks.

RMC reports Comolli is 'convinced he can land the player', in a move that would be another transfer coup for the Reds.

Since his arrival at Liverpool, the recently promoted Comolli has helped push through the transfers of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and has been working closely alongside Kenny Dalglish in creating a summer wishlist of players.

Fantastic job with the site in your spare time by the way ed's. Could you post this on rumors page.

Could you please clear up the sitcho with signing Payet from ST Etienne i know a while back you all dismissed reports of us getting anyone from there as you said DC has an agreement in place so he carn't sign any of their player now i have been reading replys that he is possible? Are we aloud to sign him or not, cheers ed's.

Indian Red {Ed005's Note - DC said that however it appears he is willing to go back on his word and move for players from St.Etienne (with Matuidi also mentioned). Payet looks likely to go to PSG however if we put in an offer there is a reasonable chance he could come.}

Ed 1 you seem to have info on sissoko coming with people asking if he is coming and u replying with yes is there a deal in place?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot find any reference to ED001 saying that Sissoko is coming I am afraid.}

"Aston Villa winger Ashley Young hopes Manchester United come in for him this summer.

Young is wanted by several big spenders, including United, Liverpool and Manchester City.

United are favourites to land the 25-year-old but Liverpool also hold out strong hopes.

The Daily Mail says Young has told several Villa team-mates that he has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

it was all going so well - then you mentioned the daily mail -c**p""

Before you criticise these comments, congratulate the poster for using a transfer source instead of making up a load of S***e! As for your comments about the paper - I might agree - but it wouldn't suprise me if it was true.

Kraptalk are saying Comolli has made swoop for someone and his agent has been to Melwood twice and we will all be shocked any ideas who? also all of a sudden these Young rumours come out saying he has agreed to join us is it Young's agent that has been down Melwood ed please can you shed some light if any of this has come by your ears as i would believe you more than koptalk thanks. p.s frist time poster love this site!

Seriously mate, if you eat enough beans, you'll eventually fart. That's what Koptalk is like - every day, it's a new tin of beans and when they eventually fart, he's there saying "told you so. Now give me £30 odd quid a year for more tins of beans and only one fart every now and again." This site may have lots of nonsense FIFA 11 dream team style posts, but you do get loads of solid info too, especially from some of the eds and the likes of that Macca lad.

This is what Benzema's agent said about his client leaving Real Madrid.

When asked if his client would consider a move away from Los Blancos at the end of the season, Djaziri told Sport.co.uk: No, no, no, no. .he will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer.

I am not sure, he talks so much rubbish it is difficult to keep up with! I was told Young's agent has been to Melwood, but I can't confirm it as I am not sure who Young's agent is. With it being hearsay from players it could be nonsense, they gossip like old women at times! There is always the possibility he was there for a completely unconnected matter anyway, he could well be an agent for a Liverpool player too.}

Rumour has it liverpool have made a 35million bid for borussia dortmund trio
nuri sahin
mario gotze
hummels
to me this is 50/ 50
sahin has all but agreed a move to real
but gotze and hummells look real catches
lfc have also been discretly in contact with a 16 yr old striker from danish champions fc kobenhavn kenneth zahore and athletico bilbaos 18 yr old forward iker muniain
lfc will also look to sign another winger and creative midfielder and a lb young and adam have been the names most linked to which i agree with adam but young will go to man u so liverpool will look to balazs dzudzak of psv
as for a lb enrique is all but secure
expect a lucrative bid for blackburns phil jones

i am new to this but this reasearch is both accurate and logical expect more to follow

Wolves winger Matt Jarvis has a new long contract until September 2015 but. . .
1. Wolves look odds on to go down.
2. Jarvis has a fledgling England career and needs to be in the Premiership to keep it alive.
3. No guarantee that manager Mick MaCarthy will be there after the end of season if relegated.
4. Player price would easily be within reach of LFC.
5. Tried and tested Premiership player.

I know this is a genuine Rumour because I've just made it up!
OR
Is it a possibility?

Guillem Balague; "With Morata also being promoted to the Real Madrid first team from the youth set up, buyers are being sought for Karim Benzema and Kaka." on his blog. So who knows we might go for Benzema or a younger striker such as Bojan on loan or Lukaku {Ed002's Note - If you are a believer in what Balague says you would have noticed yesterday's message was Liverpool are not after a striker.}
- - -
Guillem must be in a privileged situation to have constant updates from Kenny, as to who we are going to purchase this summer. I think it is like every body else, when it comes to transfer, pure guesswork. Ross

Porto president Pinto da Costa has revealed he will listen to offers for the club's star trio - defender Rolando and strikers Hulk and Radamel Falcao.

We should make a big effort to go for 1 of these 3, preferably Hulk, but they are all quality players. Any chance of signing any of these Eds?

cheers {Ed002's Note - There is a chance of Rolando, and outside chance of Hulk and very little chance of Falcao.}

Hi Ed

I have read a lot of rumours on here about Liverpool looking at strikers such as Hulk and Llorente. Do you think we are looking at a top striker? I don't think we will be as any new striker will be on the bench since we have Suarez and Carroll and Kuyt as back up. What do you think?

Also, any news if Arda Turan or Honda are being linkied. I know Kenny is a fan of Turan.

Thanks {Ed002's Note - Arda Turan looks Atletico Madrid bound. Talks have been going on for a while and he will move this summer. Dortmund apparently, remain interested but Villarreal have dropped any interest that they had. Spurs have dipped their toe in the water over the player and I suspect Valencia are keeping a watchful eye on matters. I am surprised that Liverpool have not followed up the interest they previously had in the player. Liverpool had the opportunity to move for Honda in January and decided not to.}

I've heard Liverpool are interested in a Charlton U16 youth player, goes by the name of Steven Bent. He's apparently better than Gerrard was at a similar age, could you shed any light?

Cheers,

Richie Hill.

05 May 2011 12:44:38
Ed's, what do you think our chances of getting Iker Muniain? and do we hold a strong interest in the player? would love to see the boy at our mighty club, a real gem. . {Ed002's Note - There is certainly interest and I would not be surprised to see an offer made. If sufficient for Bilbao, there should be a decent chance of the player being interested in a move.}

05 May 2011 12:45:36
Liverpool have stepped-up their interest in Shinji Kagawa despite his foot injury. {Ed002's Note - he is over his injury - but I would be surprised to see him move this year from a side in form and in teh Champions League.}

Morning Ed
I don't know if this has been mentioned before so sorry if it has but I was watching revista last night and Balague mentioned a couple of things about Liverpool. Firstly

Reina is staying, as he's happy with the owners proposed plans which excellent news

He also said we had agreed a deal for Enrique and were looking at a CB Midfielder and 2 wingers but no striker. So the story about Benezema seems untrue. Is this your understanding as well or do you more?

GuillemBalague Guillem Balague
@
@daggie89 All I know is that LFC is following Jos Enrique but there are doubts about his defending. That's the reason why no deal yet

And this is what Balague is saying today. I thought he said the deal was done yesterday. Balague for me has been somewhat inconsistent.

If Liverpool are A Young's second or third option then we don't want him. Buy only players who want to play for the best team in Europe otherwise they will not be committed and take our cash.

Parma Violet {Ed002's Note - Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham (if they make Europa), Spurs and perhaps Arsenal are to my knowledge interested or have recently been interested in the player. I understand that Guillem Balague has said that Liverpool are not interested in a striker, which I find surprising. I guess we need to wait and see.}

I have a feeling that ngog will be sold, leaving carrol kuyt and saurez as the main 3 strikers, i think the young lad morgan may be brought into the first team to be blooded slowly, with his prolific strike rate at the moment maybe kenny feels we already have the next robbie fowler or micheal owen on our books already

A former Italian freelance journalist who now works for a large football magazine in London has told me that Liverpool are looking to make a move for Arsenal's Samir Nasri.

This information came from the same guy who told me about Thierry Henry moving to the New York Red Bulls a month before the papers picked it up - he also got Arbeloa's last minute January move form Deportivo to Liverpool right a few years ago too.

I'm not saying he is right this time - but. .

All this talk about enrique already signing has me worried; surely it's a case of us tapping up a player which could lead to investigations and possible point deductions. Would someone clarify this?

Thanks

Montpellier Red

{Ed002's Note - He certainly will not have signed for Liverpool as registrations cannot be transferred outside of the transfer window - and that does not open until after the last game of the season. He may agree to sign subject to x, y and z, but that will not have happened without Newcastle agreeing a transfer fee with Liverpool. It is also possible that Newcastle have agreed to let Liverpool discuss the player with his representatives subject to a fee being agreed or with his representatives informed of the fee Newcastle would expect. Generally, it is unlikely that any conversations between Liverpool and the player himself would have been held as Newcastle would want to limit any possible distractions at this time of the season. If it were tapping up, Newcastle would have already made a complaint - so I don't think that you have anything to worry about.}

05 May 2011 09:15:27
Gervinho has rejected a new contract offer from Lille. It's looking increasingly likely that he'll be moving on after a hugely impressive season and that Lille will want to cash in and not lose for nothing when his contract expires next Summer.

We've been known to have an interest (not sure if this has waned somewhat, though) - but, we'd face stiff competition from the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich and I'd imagine more teams will throw their hat into the ring.

I'd personally love to see him lining up for us next season - looks a real talent.

Parma Violet {Ed002's Note - Newcastle, Liverpool, Fulham (if they make Europa), Spurs and perhaps Arsenal are to my knowledge interested or have recently been interested in the player. I understand that Guillem Balague has said that Liverpool are not interested in a striker, which I find surprising. I guess we need to wait and see.}

05 May 2011 09:13:10
ED do you agree with macca that we are going to sign phil jones ? what about papadopoulous ?

{Ed002's Note - Well, my understanding is rather different at this time. I know Arsenal have been linked with both players and both Liverpool and Arsenal seem to be sharing centre back targets, but as I have said previously clubs will look at all sorts of players and it does not mean they are going to make a bid. There is serious and sustained interest in Sakho from Arsenal and growing interest in the player from Liverpool and the usual Italian suspects. He would, to me at least, be the ideal solution for Liverpool but PSG may be asking too much for the player. So Jones is rather doubtful for Liverpool in my view and Papadopoulos just seems to have come out of nowhere, so I have no opinion.}

Lets get something straight, Riise was sold for a reason, he was way past it. There is no chance, no chance at all of Riise or Owen or anyone of that era returning to the club's playing staff. Pleople need to get real and stop posting rubbish.
