With us obviously in need of a central defender many people are wondering why Dagger hasn't been playing. He would have been ideal for a game last night. The rumbling is that he has already agreed to move to Barca in the summer. Have the Eds heard the same and would Tello be coming the other way?

Believable1 Unbelievable19

{Ed001's Note - Agger wasn't playing because he lost his place and Sakho has not deserved to be dropped. Nothing to do with any move being agreed. Not sure why that would need him to sit out the final few games anyway? The lad rejected Barca when they were the best team in Europe, I really can't see why he would now want to leave? Oh and no I haven't heard anything of the sort.}

Agger will stay. When he gets his chance he will take it. I would keep the four toure agger skyrtel and sakho but get someone coaching them. Carra maybe, hansen now he's finished motd why not?

Agree1 Disagree0

Quite simply mate the defence isn't good enough. It can be sugar coated anyway you want, they just aren't good enough.

If we had the Chelsea defence we would have won the league already. Keeping all 4 isn't a viable option. We have been caught out in the PL, just imagine what the best teams in Europe will do.

Very important transfer window coming up.

Agree1 Disagree0

Agger should stay in my humble opinion. And he should play. Sakho is NOT the finished product yet and I do not expect him to be for a while, as he keeps on making positioning mistakes. His physical strenght is making up for it, and has gotten him out of a lot.

But playing 2 so a like players like Sakho and Skrtel is a mistake. Especially since both Johnson and Flanagan rarely gets in to cover around them. There MUST be 2 different types playing central to compliment each other. Only other option is for me to play 3 at the back, with Agger in between Skrtel and Sakho. 5 man midfield, with the 2 wings having more defensive duties, and 2 man upfront harrasing.

Eds apperantly we scouted Griezman at the weekend. what's your thoughts on him please as a player and do you think we have firm interest in him?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I don't know if Griezmann was being watched last night but I am aware that Liverpool had someone check on Ilori last night.

Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Marseille, Rennes, Fiorentina and Lyon have shown some interest in Griezmann in the past year and repordedly Barcelona tool a look at one time. Whilst the kid has said on several occasions that he has no plans to leave Spain anytime soon, the financial problems being faced by Real Sociedad may still see him leave the club in the summer. He has had a good season which have led to enquiries being made by Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea; with Manchester United and PSG having the player watched on more than one occasion.}

Eds let's be honest the main area we need to improve in clearly defence. There must be movement in the summer? A decent cb has to be an option. I think we should use the cl as a springboard now, also, will borini, Assidi and suso return? Or wisdom?

Believable9 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - Borini, Suso, Wisdom will all be assessed in the summer. Assaidi is almost certain to join Stoke as soon as the window opens. He wants to go and we want to sell.}

What about defence eds? I know you've mentioned we have loads of cover but the quality of it has cost the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - so if you know what I have mentioned, why ask again? We want a left back, we all know that. We also need to offload a centre half or two before we can do anything much in defence.}

Gutted from last night but still got to hold tough, eds seeing all the reports about tello after snapping at there manager, is it likly wel bid now?would love to see him and kono

Believable12 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool was amongst a number of clubs who enquired after Tello in January but Barcelona said he would not be moving in January but may move on in the summer if the circumstances are right. I would expect Liverpool and Milan to push for a deal in the summer and possibly Porto who have spoken recently with Barcelona.}

Edds, with cardiff.relegated, has anyone shown an interest in medel?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Gary Medel from Lazio has returned and Malaga and Valencia have expressed their interest, but Besiktas still remains a more likely destination in my view.}

Edd002, anychange 'in the rakitic situation? Thanks

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Lazio and perhaps Liverpool and Juve would be interested if Rakitic were available at a sensible price. There is a slim chance that he will agree a new deal with Sevilla and there is a chance Real Madrid will step in for him. Chelsea were previously interested but I think it is likely that interest has waned.}

hey eds have we scouted Youri Tielemans of RSCA Anderlecht in recent weeks, he looks a great talent.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - No.}

Hello eds
Just bee reading a few rumours with regards to the future of Lucas Moura.
One report stating Liverpool are willing to bid £35 million
for him. I personally don't see why PSG would be willing to let a player of that calibre leave. Do you believe this to be a viable option, are they looking to sell or us it just rubbish
Cheers
Ravariles YNWA

Believable10 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - there is a possibility he may be sold, there has been some interest from us, but £35m is highly unlikely (to say the least). I would expect him to move on, for a lower fee, but I would personally think that it is part of a deal for Pogba that would be most likely to be the reason. PSG want Pogba, Juve have an interest in Moura.}

He would be way out of our price range wouldn't he ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - most likely yes.}

Extremely talented, but extremely unsettled. Sounds like Coutinho & Sturridge. It would be a risk & we haven't shown a huge amount of interest, especially after his move to PSG, however if any manager can bring the best out of him it is Brendan & he does fit the bill of a wide forward, Young with a huge amount of talent & potential. I doubt he'll go for 35m due to the risk.
