itll be just like us when we bought markovic, its too early. Coutinho is good, but can improve so much more.

Any of the Ed's know anything about what sky sports news are reporting saying we are in for Tevez? to me he's just what we need but I think it's more than likely lazy journalism and the aftermath or juve's defeat last night. Thought he wanted to return home too!!Hope I'm wrong mind as it's more bulldog spirit like him and Milner we need right now!! Any insight? Cheers

{Ed002's Note - Boca Junios would like Carlos Tevez to return this summer but (a) money for a transfer and wages will be an issue, and (b) Daniel Angelici has seriously miffed Juventus by instructing Tevez to terminate his contract by whatever means are necessary. Trading some cash and options on midfield prospect Adrián Cubas, striker Guido Vadalá and/or Federico Bravo may be something that suits all parties - but the players would need to agree. Adrian Ruocco has said Tevez will see his contract out and then move to Boca as a free agent. I don't know of any interest from Liverpool in Tevez, although the Liverpool fans are getting their rocks off thinking about him.}

I thought we should have moved heaven and earth to sign him in 2009. But when he disappeared off to the beach in the middle of the season a few years ago I was grateful we dodged that bit of drama. City at least has adequate cover, where we would have missed him terribly. Great player, but not sure if we need the circus that might come with. 31 as well.

We are going to be linked with any striker that seems to be available, just because of our need for a decent one.
I will take all talk of any decent striker with a pinch of salt, until the signing is confirmed.

Ed, someone on the Man City page has said that they will bid for Henderson? Surely this isn't true as they haven't even got interest have they?

{Ed002's Note - I suspect their interest has gone.}

Hello Ed's.

Is it true that Yesil is moving to Fenerbahce? Also heard a rumour that we have agreed personal terms with Kovacic but yet to agree a fee with Inter.

Personally I get a feeling similar to Markovic transfer on this. Exciting but unsure about the quality of the player.

Your response will be greatly appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - Fenerbahce would need to talk to Liverpool about any transfer - but at this time they haven't. However, his agent is keen to move the player on as he is not going to get opportunities at Liverpool - Turkey would be a likely destination. Kovacic has been dealt with.}

Wouldn't a loan in this country be better for us? He had so much potential before his injuries he may get back to his best.

I think it would be premature to sell him now. I fear the same sometimes for both Teixera and Flanagan. We sold Kelly too early for the same reason so give the kid a chance.

{Ed002's Note - I rather doubt he has any future at Liverpool.}

Have to agree with Ed002.Yesil could still develop into a decent player but not looking like an EPL player.I doubt if Teixera will either even if he does fully recover from his injury ( brokrn leg ?)
Flanno has signed a new ontract and hopefully will start next season fit and raring to go. Martin Kelly is not a top 4 quality player.

Do we have any interest in Pedro ?
Quality player in my opinion, wealth of experience at the top level, still relatively young, available, and I imagine he could be bought for £15-20 M ?
Would appreciate any feedback you can offer.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No. Pedro was offered to a couple of clubs, one as part of a convoluted part exchange but no deal could be struck. Barcelona will offer him a new contract as they look for stability now and plan for some future changes.}

Pedro signed a new 4 year contract a couple of days ago.

Eds are we in for trippier?if he's cheap a good backup rb option.

{Ed002's Note - Burnley's Kieron Tippier is attracting the attention of Stoke and Bournemouth who have spoken with the club about him. Aston Villa, Liverpool, Spurs and Southampton are also apparently interested in the player but I am not aware of any approaches to Burnley at this time.}
