Ed002, sorry mate can't find a response to the Pato rumours. I think you said it's been taken down due to abuse. I'm sorry mate but can we right this off as not happening please?

{Ed002's Note - Everyone here is telling me that the president of his club has come out and said it is all but a done deal.

From my extremely naive position I am afraid I cannot confirm it at all. I explained earlier that Pato has had a torrid time this past couple of years and Corinthians loaned him to Sao Paulo until next month - but it hasn't worked out well. He has been out of form and unfit and I would think far from able to perform at the premier league level. Corinthians would be really pleased if someone were to buy him. I am not aware of any deal with Liverpool for him - can't see where he would fit in given Benteke, Origi, Firmino and Sturridge not to mention Ings returning at the end of the season.

But the Liverpool fans are convinced that the saviour is going to be arriving in January. What can I say?}

Pato is not good enough at all, should we sign Freddy Adu, Ravel Morrison and Dos Santos as well, there's not one striker at the club (Balotelli and Sinclair included) I wouldn't prefer ahead of Pato.

Has as much chance as happening as us buying that Sterling lad from City, lol, who was mentioned on a Australian podcast last week as having strong links to Liverpool and they are looking to bring him in, I kid u not that is what was said.

Pato= not going to happen, I can't imagine any scenario at the moment where behind the scenes at the club he is seen as the solution.

{Ed001's Note - that podcast must be a spoof surely?}

Mate there's quite a few I listen too during the week, maybe 40 different pods, not urs unfortunately as I can't see it on iTunes : ( but they were deadly serious, I will try find it and link it. But honestly anything I listen to from here in Aus or from the states regarding football 50% of it leaves u dumb founded and banging your head against a wall at there lack of knowledge or stupidity.

With wisdom and flanno back that's 4 full backs plus the youth, has he written off wisdom then?

{Ed001's Note - I think this reply has come up on the wrong thread.}

Question for ed02, I saw your reply to a post regarding the pato rumor, where you said you had answered already. I have had a look in the banter and rumours pages however cannot seem to find it. Could I bother you for a repeat please?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Well apparently my answer was not worthy of the page. The vegetables drove it off.}

It's a sad fact of life these days, people just believe what they want to believe, but what for me is worse is why on earth would they want pato.

Don't believe it personally but any truth in this story Mourhino was sounded out before Klopp was approached?

Not trying to stir anything, delighted that Klopp is here - and we are starting to see signs of his worth. It really is something that not long ago we had Roy Hodgson and now we have Jurgen Klopp.

Just curious, I guess.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

I know many will disagree but if things had been different and we didn't get Klopp Jose is about the only other manager that would have excited me so much. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Klopp and like many of u he was my first choice but The Mou was a close second.

I'm not saying I like the guy as a person, find him entertaining enough, but based on managerial skill, knowledge, experience, mentality etc, call it what u want there's not many who are better than him.

Crazy story about Liverpool reaching a deal in principle for Alexandre Pato….

Came here to ask the exact same question. Doesn't seem credible, or a particularly good idea!

The creditworthiness we could over look with Balotelli being bought by the club. Being a good idea i totally agree with. Injuries have taken it away from him.

Some halfwit has already changed Pato's wiki page to say he plays for Liverpool, lol!

"A deal in principle"
[translate to plain engish]
"a story made up by someone with a vested interest"
