Anyone hearing the Arbeloa as full back cover rumours?

Can't tell if this is a good or bad idea. Defensively capable, good on the ball can play both sides and can teach a few things to the ones we have, but by no means a solution. Getting on a bit too, but at least he's a full back. Probably would be happy, if wisdom and ilori left and he came in over no one else, as long as we have a long term plan.

He's still a free agent apparently, according to wiki anyway.
Liked him when he was here as a player (put his off field issues and spats to one side) .
He became a fringe player in his last season with Madrid, so not sure what he could offer other than occasional cover, for which Smith or Flanno could have been ideal.

Obviously can do better but hence the word "cover" I think he'd b perfect for this, familiar with club, league, help moreno hopefully and for 5/ 10 games for cover on a free. Win win no?
