I' m not saying i don't believe you, but surely not!

I think he turned down another premier league team to join LFC.

Agree0 Disagree9

09 Jan 2016 01:58:56
Can't see this happening, last thing we need is to be taking more gambles like this.

If this is true the people running our club are the least intelligent of any professional team. There is a good reason he is in Brazil and it should be telling that they desperately want rid of him. He is lazy, injury prone, and has attitude problems. Did I forget to mention that he is also not very good.

15euro. still a bit steep if ya ask me.

Agree9 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 03:39:20
Is that personal knowledge or just eds views regurgitated?

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 04:30:59
So Klopp wants to setup a Brazilian WC team in LFC? We do really need a CB and FW but options are very limited in Jan.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 06:31:20
Its no gamble. Pato is among tops scorer of Brazilian league with 11 goals this season. He is on form.

Agree0 Disagree11

{Ed001's Note - it is a gamble, he is on such good form they don't want to keep him at the club. It is not about money, they don't want him because his attitude stinks and he has injury issues.}

09 Jan 2016 07:01:06
Reports coming out of Brazil is its 15 million brazilian real which is roughly around 4-5 million he hasn't turned down anything from another premier league club he turned down a ridiculously large pay packet from a Chinese side, people saying he is injury prone he hasn't been injured for three years! And 2015 was probably his best goal scoring season.

Agree0 Disagree7

{Ed001's Note - sorry but he has shown consistently that playing a competitive game in a decent league is beyond his body's ability to cope. Just because he is doing ok while semi-retired and not expected to work hard does not mean he is suddenly fine.}

09 Jan 2016 07:54:31
Could turn out to be a master stroke. who knows. If he brings back ballo then I would be very annoyed. I don't think either deal will happen.

Agree2 Disagree7

09 Jan 2016 08:21:18
How can people say he's not very good? i have the full sky package and i don't recall any brazilian football being on. have faith in klopp and stop being so negative on current and future players.

Agree1 Disagree7

{Ed001's Note - have you never heard of the internet? Some of us watch other countries football by other means than just Sly tv anyway.}

09 Jan 2016 08:47:55
Eds but there isn't any truth in us after him anyhow is there?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not unless something has changed, as we turned him down, as did a number of other teams, once already.}

09 Jan 2016 09:42:03
Can you see anything changing mate? He doesn't seem a Klopp player and like you said he has injury issues. Does ed002 no if anything has changed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, he is still be whored around Europe with little to no interest, more to do with his partyboy lifestyle than his injuries to be honest.}

09 Jan 2016 09:44:17
Maybe because there is a lack of decent players in the Jan market and due to our injuries and lack of goals the club are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't!

Agree1 Disagree4

09 Jan 2016 10:09:07
I think it would be fair to say Ed, he wouldn't exactly be up for the physical nature of playing Premier League football either.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I would think far from able to perform at the premier league level. Clubs will have noted his wages are very high, he has some ownership issues that would need to be resolved before a return to Europe, and (importantly) he has a total of six agents and representatives that would need to be paid as part of any transfer. I cannot see any English side taking him on, the answer for him is back in Brazil until the summer, with Chinese second division side Tianjin Songjiang (who have made an offer) or potentially somewhere in Italy (but I doubt with a leading club).}

09 Jan 2016 11:02:00
I think it's his agent trying to push a move for his player, anyway surely what money is available this window will be spent on the defensive situation.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is exactly that. His agent has been claiming interest from anyone and everyone, but there is very little truth.}

09 Jan 2016 11:42:18
In this moment we need to be looking for more loan plus option to buy.
We have so many injuries we don't necessarily need more permanent deals.

Perhaps Pato is being offered around to clubs who need bodies (like us) and we have said we'd only be interested in a loan to buy. Otherwise I can't see us being interested.

Agree3 Disagree2

09 Jan 2016 12:09:05
Surely the deal won't be in euros between two countries that don't use euros?

Agree4 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 14:44:36
The report was on an Italian website I think Fencey that's where the € came in.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 16:43:32
I don't believe for one minute that we would look at a player that fell short in Europe. Before anyone says, when he went back to Brazil, no one in Europe tried to sign him. He is average at best and with a bad attitude.

08 Jan 2016 12:57:56
Liverpool have recalled Stewart from Swindon for those that didn't know.

At this rate there will be no loan players for me to report on!

From what klopp said earlier from next year the promising youngsters won't be going out at all.

Agree8 Disagree0

08 Jan 2016 13:27:22
I think the ideal scenario, and one I would try to create if I was a manager is a smaller but more talented first team squad with a pool of promising youngsters swithching between the u21 and the first team when required.

Agree11 Disagree0

08 Jan 2016 14:48:43
I guess in the long run, if that's his idea the first team squad will be greatly trimmed, youth will get the chance and we will get what we wanted to happen! In the long long run, with realistic chances to get in the first team, our youth setup will be a more attractive proposition.

We've added Grujic though Carra.

Agree3 Disagree1

08 Jan 2016 15:32:24
Grujic is better than all the current young central midfielders that we have and in time that will be proven. I remember fans asking why are we buying Lucas when we have Spearing coming through?

Agree4 Disagree3

08 Jan 2016 16:45:19
Oh yea!
I suppose I best add grujic to the list.
Cheers ron.

Who is left? Lloyd Jones is injured though unsure if he has been recalled he is being treated at Liverpool. Jordan Williams? Vigeroux? Harry Wilson isn't getting much game time. I don't know about Yesil. I forget who else we have on loan.

08 Jan 2016 18:01:26
Ballotelli, markovic, ward, wisdom.

08 Jan 2016 18:03:39
Canos, Ward, Will Marsh.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jan 2016 18:41:26
Being recalled to be treated for an injury doesn't seem like the greatest idea at the moment haha.

Agree1 Disagree0

09 Jan 2016 07:03:48
Completely agree with that Carra. Only 11 can start so a smaller unit it is easier to manage personalities and develop the youngsters. Also can concentrate wages instead of spreading thin over players who don't get a run.

Ed002

Would I be correct in saying were looking to loan Subotic but Dortmund not keen and want permanent solution? And are we looking at getting something done before the Ars and Utd games?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - Subotic would prefer a permanent deal as well.}

08 Jan 2016 09:49:47
Cheers mate

Hope we can get the deal done. He looks best solution out of that Italian guy and Matip.

08 Jan 2016 12:26:11
U know the biz ed001,we only buy the best not any TDH.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 Jan 2016 13:36:23
Has Subotic got over his injuries that he had? We really can't afford to be buying another player who has injury issue's, no matter how talented he is!

He seems to have suffered with a lot of back injuries (according to transfermarkt) . Does anyone know if he has recovered from these 3 back injuries that he suffered in a 4 month period?

Agree1 Disagree1

08 Jan 2016 13:40:36
Gotta agree seems best option and they know each other very well. A loan to buy with first option to buy would be ideal if it can be negotiated. Reason I say first option to buy is in case he comes in and excels, therefore would want a first option to buy and a agreed fee set this window.

I might be asking too much, but given our history I'd say if we can go that way in terms of negotiations. I know people get stick for this but I do hope if he plays, Ilori has a good game. I don't think he's the messiah but I do think he has quality just a bad injury record.

08 Jan 2016 13:53:17
Sorry ed but just to be clearare we trying to get something inplace ready for the Ars and Utd games? I appreciate its a timing question.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

08 Jan 2016 14:03:23
Cheerd ed. Info has been appreciated mate.

A sort-of-maybe-probly-bullshit rumour, but some reports here in Bulgaria that the Pool are interested in Georgi Terziev of Ludogorets Razgrad. Once he seemed like a good potential, but I haven't kept track of him in a long while. Might be a decent fill-in if a bid does materialise, and a fairly cheap one too.
The rumour does not even originate in Bulgaria, mind, so probably a stir-up by an agent (the same agent as Grujic, to my surprise) .
