This liverpool takeover is seriously doing my head in. . . . . . .
when it happened last round we all thought sheik mohammed and DIC were going to take over and take liverpool up to the next level. . . Then those two idiots came in at the last minute. . . . . . . and look what happened
now we've got kenny huang and the £300billion backing of the chinese government's offer on the table against kirdi and a bunch of syrians. . . .
i'm sure most liverpool fans would prefer the chinese offer because we want what's best for liverpool football club. my fear is the syrians offer will be accepted because the decision makers want what's best for themselves

To the guy who said we should riot. Shut the * * up. Why on earth would we cause a riot outside our own clubs ground in our own city. Thats going to look pretty damn good now isnt it? I think what you were ment to say is that we should protest in a dignified and honorable way that shows us fans are no mugs and can see through this mist kirdi is putting on. YNWA

Many people have said on other websites that Yahya Kirdi is good friends with tom and hicks. Is this true? W ill he do us over like the americans or does he want to invest a lot into liverpool.

Liverpool rumour

Seen on skysports news at around 6 o'clock a reporter in the Manchester studio was reporting that Syrian bid will be meeting the board with H&G tomorrow and expect a deal to be done by the weekend

09 Aug 2010 23:25:11
Does anyone else think that martin broughton said today everyone else to bid now so he could prevent the kirdi lot taking over the club as he knows it will be bad for the club?
any1 else share my concern?

Lately iv relised that everyday for the past week and a half one day the takeover looks in the favor of kidri and the next is kenny haung so basicaly the rumor of kidri is probably fake

09 Aug 2010 23:04:25
Seriously, has anyone seen the picture of Kirdi in the echo?? Looks like a proper slime ball!! Or some sort of character off facejacker.

I hope to god kenny gets to takeover (the next emperor??!!), I don't care if it is china who owns the club. As long as were not struggling with debt and we get the feel good factor back at the club.

The fact that Kirdi is linked to other consortiums and linked to the two cowboys should be enough to put anyone off!

And people who keep saying about sogning Kjaer the Danish centre half - - HES MOVED TO WOLFSBURG!! Sort your heads out!

Ashley Young is homesick and wants to go back to London, can't see him coming to us.

Not sure about Poulsen either to be fair!

And as far as mascherano goes I think he's let himelf down with the way he's acted and personally (although he is one of the best in the world at what he does) I don't want to see him at anfield again.

Can i just advise people that alot of news ssn reports on, liverpoolfc are not putting on the official site, i think this says alot about how serious the offer or information given, and don't forget any transfer rumours they self proclaim that its just a gathering of info from the media that "This story has been reproduced from today's media. It does not necessarily represent the position of Liverpool Football Club" so if they aren't producing articles about the take ovr i doubt there is to uch substance to them!!
this is just a thought btw, i dont care who take over just as long as they care about the club ; stadium, dept, player/team development (like haung contacting the sos, like the sound of that) and please not another man shi* y

Looks like kirdi is going to win the takeover race .what a disaster this could be . . i hope hicks and gillette croak

09 Aug 2010 22:44:35
Will everybody just calm down, just because Sky Sports News say a takeovers gonna happen doesn't mean it is, I mean the channel is just a glorified TV version of the News of the World (spit!). I'll believe it when I read it on a credible website e.g. BBC, we certainly won't hear anything via SSN or in the tabloids of any credence so just calm down, calm down my fellow scousers.

I have faith it will happen very soon due to Scudamore of the Premier League claiming that the club had given the minimum 10 days notice of a takeover so I'm sure it will happen sooner rather than later but to whom only a small number of people will know this and I'm sure will have all been subject to confidentiality clauses. Wait for the surprise fellow kopites!!

SAD SAD NEWS. .

Indian bid update-

This late afternoon (india time) bombay billionaires met to thrash out a deal for takeover in Mumbai hotel. .

They made a final offer of 380m take it or leave it with guarantees to provide 90mil kitty to improve the squad. They even offered to allow Roy to use it as he pleased between now and January.

They simply said - "we made an offer we felt was more than reasonable for all parties involved, however, to our disappointment the board members were unwilling to accept". .

"we are not in the habit of negotiating further as we feel we have offered a very competitive deal which would benefit the club, the current owners and most importantly the fans"

regrettably, we now move on"

PLEASE READ THIS PEOPLES. IT TOOK ME QUITE A WHILE TO WRITE. . .

There are three things that annoy me about some of the comments on this site.

number 1. People seem to think that because players are good in Pro-evo or FIFA, they are good in real life. .e.g. Ben Arfa is praised on this page but in reality he is utter rubbish and in the Liverpool side would be nothing more that a clone of El Zhar.(Remember, the little Moroccan guy who was about as good a player as the sky is pink)

Number 2. how can any supposed Liverpool fan say Kuyt is a rubbish player. he is one, if not the hardest working player in the Premier League and consistently performs for his club. The fact that the Dutch manager said that Kuyt is the first player on his team list only reinforces this point. Kuyt adds another dimension to the team in terms of the running he does and the goals he can contribute. Although the attacking prowless of Johnson can not be called into question his often uncertain defensive displays and the space he leaves when he attacks are slightly less problematic when you have a player who will run all day and cover the flank when needed.

Number three is the fact that People think that when/if Liverpool get taken over they will instantly be able to buy top stars such as Aguero. When/If the takeover does occur, the signings will more than likely be players who rumours of signings have been circulating about in tabloids.etc. The negotiation process does not just take a couple of minutes like it does in Pro-Evo kids. It takes weeks, and often managers and their boards have been in contact with clubs for longer than the rumours appear to make it. I know people will scalp me and say that Joe Cole came in a matter of days, so i will address this issue. there is a diffirence between signing a free agent and a player from a club. The diffirence being that negotiations can take place directly to the player and their agent almost immediatly.

In an ideal world, Liverpool would be taken over by the richest man on earth. We would sign Messi, Ronaldo and George Best. Kuyt would be crowned world player of the year and if the club failed in negotiations with a player, they could just exit and reload. (like in Pro-Evo)

Much love. .

Omg you people are so dumb, yahya kirdi isnt buying the club for himself. He is just fronting the bid for a consortium, they're apparently from the middle-east and canada. Dont worry about the gillete connections, this man is a brilliant businessman. Ive been told that there are 6 people involved in kirdi's bid and 5 at the least in huangs. Jf92

Rumour has it that a certain journalist by the name of Harris is doing his best to do a "hatchet job" on Huang on another inferior web site. His allegations have already been disproved and all the major Liverpool fan web sites are starting to fight back and give this journalist hell. The said journalist knows he is telling a pack of lies because his allegations have already been researched and Huang has been exonerated from all allegations and actually won compensation of something like 330,000 dollars. However, he is trying to turn the mass of Liverpool fans against Huang - fortunately, he has NO CHANCE - Huang is doing and saying ALL the right things. He is even talking to the "Spirit of Shankly" and LFC share group. H&G are getting REALLY REALLY worried because they have started their smear campaign already. Luckily, rumour has it that Huang has a "rocket" (apparently his discription) up his sleeve. Something, I don't know what, that will blow H&G and probably the false Kirdi deal out of the water! I think he is just waiting the right time to play his trump card.

For some reason i just dont like the way this syrain yirdi kirdi bloke is doing business. its them that are saying that a deal will be wrapped up by arsenal game not broughton. VERY sneeky and slimey just like our two ronnies HICKS AND GILLET. I hope there bid doesnt succeed

09 Aug 2010 22:22:25
Kirdi is looking like another big talker who doesnt always deliver, and that is REALLY worrying. He bigged up a bid just a few months ago that was subsequently dismissed, and now he's talking big again.
Whoever owns LFC owns part of the dreams and the heart of the city itself, and do we want LFC to owned by a consortium of 20 that might argue and paralyse the club? Gillette's son is linked too- and every single penny that goes to H+G from this deal will be a penny less for the transfer fund that might get us into the top four this season. Will we never be rid of Gillette and his people? Also, Kirdi even looks mean enough to stab you in a dark alley. To be talking like he is again just reeks of a false play, to inject tension and up the price, when he ought to be keeping silent. I just hope it is false, and that the more dignified bidders who can hold their tongues will win this- and Broughton better make no mistake here- every single move and decision he makes had better be 100% justifiable to the hundreds of experts who will rake and pore over every single aspect of this deal in minute detail in the months and years to come- none of the board will be able to hide anything under the carpet, whatever they might think now.

A Liverpool supporters coalition will meet with the Chinese consortium bidding to own the club, it has emerged.

SOS-SL, a merger between Spirit of Shankly and ShareLiverpoolFC, claim that a spokesman of the group being representated by Kenny Huang has informed them that they plan to hold talks with fan groups if their bid is accepted by Reds chairman Martin Broughton.

I pulled this of Click Liverpool.com (very reliable) check it out very interesting

The statemant from Kirdi today was excatly the same statement they issued last week by E.mail to yes you've guessed it Sky Sports own Alan Myers.

The plot thickings!

To the person who wrote:

Wasn't Broughton's main objective as part of his appointment to find a buyer which is the best for the club ? if so then assuming Huang has bid for the club and as has Kirdi then perhaps the Kirdi deal is the best after all, just a suggestion and feel free to comment :)

Broughton is being paid by the yank clowns and so he will go with whatever they want, he doesnt want this to turn into a huge court case and has no interest in Liverpools future being a Chelsea fan!!!

He will just side with whatever the yanks wants, collect his pay packet and snigger back to the Kings Rd!!!!!

Why would they bring him in if they ever thought he could be a enemy in the camp and prevent them making a profit. . its a farce!!

09 Aug 2010 22:09:43
All the talk of liverpool takeover being done by this weekend are wider of the mark for 2 reasons

club ask people to put money where their mouth and make a bid

and even if the bids where in how can the process of finding the best bid be done so quick.

the takeover will happen when it does but i want the chinesse bid as it will be the best for liverpool.

but on the up side if it does go through expected james milner and ashley young to come to liverpool

I think the expectation that LFC might sign another left back could be false. . I think it quite likely that Martin Kelly may well play LB with Aurelio (when fit!) providing cover or stepping in to give Martin a break. Given that Insua played too much football last season (mainly due to Aurelio's injury) RH will have to monitor the situation and may consider buying another LB in January. Agger/Mavinga can also provide cover to LB position.

Lucas may well not be the best player (to me he's a 7/10 player at his best) but he was one of the few players at LFC who played consistently well last season. .that was mainly down to the poor levels of performance from the majority of the squad (Reina being the one consistent exception). Better players played worse/inconsistently. . Lucas is not Xabi but nor is he to blame for the teams poor fortune/performances.

I just found this artice on the web, it is quite old but at the time of this attempted take over, Kirdi had the backing of ''one of the UAE'S ruling families'' if this is still the case then their's serious money behind us!
YNWA

Liverpool takeover: The Daily Mirror report that "A former Syrian international claims to be close to buying Liverpool. Talks between businessman Yahya Kirdi and Anfield owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks are alleged to be at an 'advanced stage'. Former Celtic captain Andy Lynch, a one-time team-mate of Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish, says he has been brought on board by the Gulf-based millionaire, who is fronting up the bid, which has the backing of one of the UAE's ruling families. Kirdi knows Gillett and his son Foster and attended Liverpool's match at Stoke in January, but the Americans say they are not in takeover talks with any group."

09 Aug 2010 21:47:46
Liverpool takeover to be completed on Friday the 13th??, That sounds very bad to me almost like a bad omen.

09 Aug 2010 21:46:40
Hold on to your seats you mighty reds, kirdi is backed by the sultan of Brunei and he is worth 20 billion! the sad part is that tom & jerry will walk away with a nice wedge for bringing this great club to its knees! Ah well, good ridence and bring on the good times!

09 Aug 2010 21:45:53
Liverpool to sign the following
Loic Remy or Mevlut Erdinc=10-12M
Christian Poulsen=6M
Brad Jones=2-3M
Luke Young=2.5M

09 Aug 2010 21:44:36
With MON walking out, players will want to leave too. .

my bets are on warnock and young. .left back and winger, the two positions RH wants to strengthen.

there should still be money left from the original transfer budget everyone was talking about (15m) and the smart money says LFC will be grabbing the bargain players who arent happy at their clubs (same could be applied to bridge and barry at city. .

all these players have been linked over the summer, expect these to come to fruition over the next week or so, takeover or not.

09 Aug 2010 21:41:19
Yahya Kirdi himself is not rich but the people in his consotium based in canada and the middle east are the ones with the money. They will pay off the clubs debts, build a new stadium and will give Roy Hodgson a big sum of money. The deal should be done by saturday,Liverpool have asked the new owners to watch the arsenal game this sunday

09 Aug 2010 21:39:24
What would liverpool fans prefer a new stadium and a team which will be carry on not winning the premier league because we are just not strong enough to compete with chelsea and man u or would we prefer money for a squad which can compete with man u and chelsea and maybe with in the next few seasons win us the league and return to the status and success that made us known throughout the world.

09 Aug 2010 21:37:13
THIS ONES GOIN TO COURT!!
LYING YANKS DONT HAVE A DECENT BONE IN THERE BODYS TO JUST ACCEPT THEY HAVE FAILED PITFULLY AND JUST GO. .

ACCEPT THEY HAVE THE TYPICAL IGNORANT ARROGANCE TO THINK THEY DESERVE TO BE PAID "HANDSOMELY" FOR ALMOST TAKING OUR FOOTBALL CLUB TO THE BRINK OF ADMINISTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL THE TALK IS WETHER POSSIBLE NEW OWNERS WOULD PASS THE FIT AND PROPER OWNERS TEST!!!!
WHY DOESNT THE AUTHORITIES DO SOMETHING TO PUNISH THESE TWO FECKLESS OXYGEN THEIVES AND STOP THEM OWNING ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!!!!!!

09 Aug 2010 21:37:08
Surely Mr Huang is savvy enough to know that his bid has the capacity to be successful. Otherwise why lodge a bid in the first place that you well know will not be succesfull?

As we know his offer, as he put it, will not make the current owners wealthier. But he may have obligations set within the bid to pass the construction of the Stadium for example to a firm connected to Tom & Gerry, make them profit indirectly.

None of us will ever know the true ins and outs of any bid lodged for our club so my advice to everyone is to calm down and wait for the official statment to be released by the club. Then we can celebrate, debate or whine 'till the cows come home.

In my opinion The Chinese bid as from what I have heard will bring in the higher self investment over a long term basis from the correct marketing in the Far East. Thus making the club richer & owners richer which in turn will bring success on and off the field which in turn makes fans and players happy.

So.

(Far East Marketing + New Stadium = Happy Fans and Trophies) = Miserable Mancs!

09 Aug 2010 21:34:05
Liverpool will bid for Gaby Agbonlahor, not Ashley Young

Young is much admired by Roy but having assessed the squad, he feels we need a striker above all else, and Villa unlikely to let 2 players (young + gaby) go to a competitor), even IF Liverpool could afford both.

Not Warnock, Not A Young, Not Milner

09 Aug 2010 21:23:45
KIRDI LOOKS LIKE A GREASY LYING SECOND HAND CAR SALES MAN, AND I WOULDNT TRUST HIM IF HE TOLD ME THE SUN WAS GOING TO COME UP TOM!!!

IF HE GETS HIS HANDS ON MY CLUB I REALLY FEAR FOR THE FUTURE.

I CAN SEE THE YANKS ON A PLANE LAUGHING THERE HEADS OFF IN A PRIVATE PLANE THROWING CASH AROUND. . AFTER THEY HAVE THE LAST LAUGH AND MUG OFF EVERY SINGLE LFC SUPPORTER ON THE GLOBE!!!

SOMETHING IN THIS STINKS, AND I DONT JUST THINK ITS KIRDIS AFTERSHAVE!!

BROUGHTON "GROW SOME AND MAN UP" !!!!! AND DONT LET THESE 2 BIT CON MEN DO THIS TO OUR CLUB!!!!!!!

09 Aug 2010 21:19:16
Jus read a interview with messi in a Spanish paper were he said one day he'd love to play at anfield as long as torres and gerrard were still there! We can only dream!

09 Aug 2010 21:13:58
Lads. . ignore this syrian. it is all propaganda. . look which sky reporter broke the news. alan "fireside chat" myers. remember he was the one who interviewed fat tom in hicks' ranch. . he is in my opinion a hicks stooge. . over on a LFC forum (liverpoolway.co.uk), Kirdi is on under a name "goldenboy" and is getting a proper scouse hammering. .GG and Fat Tom are desperate men in a desperate position. The syrian "bid" is just a load of cr*p.

Mr Broughton

09 Aug 2010 21:05:48
Kirdi now front runner, wants to sign first contract papers by sunday!

09 Aug 2010 21:03:18
Wasn't Broughton's main objective as part of his appointment to find a buyer which is the best for the club ? if so then assuming Huang has bid for the club and as has Kirdi then perhaps the Kirdi deal is the best after all, just a suggestion and feel free to comment :)

09 Aug 2010 21:03:05
A lot of people have been saying that Yahya Kirdi has only spoke about clearing the debt and building a new stadium but not about transfers. But we already know that the chairman has said that the winning bidder will have to clear the debt, commit to building a new stadium and be able to provide funds for transfers. Also once the debt has been cleared then the profit the club makes can go towards transfers instead of paying off the debt.

Ok so i am looking at everyones line up,s and sub,s lists and i cant help but wonder if you all think we have sold Maxi ??

i quite like him .

i expect a 4-2-3-1 line up

-J Reina -
-Johnson-carra-Agger-Fabio-
-masch-Gerred-
-Kyut/Maxi-Cole-Jova-
-Nando-

Personally i think that will be a very hard team to beat and very dangerous . When i look at this though i feel we need a classy RW and a strong LB some cover for nando and boom title 19 -20 -21 and so on

Mo'N has resigned because Milner has been sold to Man. Sh*ty and Ashley Young to LFC.
He will go back to Celtic once Lennon has been sacked.
Won't take long

sorry but mon has resigned due to the fact ashley young is off to spurs, mon had to beg young not to go last term

09 Aug 2010 20:54:05
Hey guys this my first time here. Kirdi's bid is not selected yet. I heard that chinesse bid is still the strongest one so hopefully the news will change. It will b the chinesse who will win the battle

09 Aug 2010 20:39:32
Just posted on the Banter part ( not published yet ) - now I'll try on here - just one question - WHY WOULD A LIFELONG CHELSEA SEASON TICKET HOLDER WANT LIVERPOOL TO BE TAKEN OVER BY ANYBODY THAT COULD HELP US. His love is a team without history or passion - - We have an abundance of both - if he opts for the Kirdi bid - which is favoured by G&H, then be scared, be very scared - we are well and truly F* ked.

Don't expect a new stadium or investment in the squad, if the rumours are true that Liverpool fan Purslow and Ayres wanted the Chinese bid - then there must have been a reason for it.

Let's just hope Roy gets what we have got now play to their potential and ability, then we have a good chance. Broughton - go back to Chelski with your pockets full from G&H's friends.

09 Aug 2010 20:39:24
I have not seen anywhere that kyrdi or birdie or what ever his name is has bought Liverpool wasn't it last week that the deal was done

09 Aug 2010 20:38:27
Oh really great news if Kirdi buys the club as Gillettes son is part of the consortium. Really great news not

Transfer Update:

Soto is on his way out of the club to Bolton fee in region of 1.5 million

Insua off to genoa on loan for the season

Werder Bremen have asked about leiva inital enquiry only

Liverpool delined option of Ben Arfa on loan as did Everton as part of the agreement meant recall on 2 weeks notice in case of good performance and an offer from another club came in all in all deal is to complicated

All efforts are now being pushed for Melvut the turk

Also looking at kevin davies believe it or not could be part of soto deal

To the guy who said this:
Dont worry yaya is loaded he is worth 7.7 billion so hes bound to invest

HOW DO YOU KNOW PLEASE BACK IT UP WITH EVIDENCE BECAUSE WE NEED TO KNOW?

09 Aug 2010 20:22:40
Liverpool will only sign two players they will be loic remy and poulsen. these will cost under 18million. both should be signed before the arsenal game however will most likely not feature in that game.

09 Aug 2010 20:16:41
After Martin O'Neill resigned as Aston Villa manager today, a mass exodus will take place with a lot of players leaving. Liverpool will capitalise on this situation by lodging a double bid for Gabby Agbonlahor and Stephen Warnock

My Peoples, don't get too carried away with the latest Sky sports news reports. It says "Sky Sports News understands that the consortium fronted by Yahya Kirdi expects to have signed an initial takeover deal with Liverpool by Sunday afternoon." HE EXPECTS to sign a deal. His consortiums offer is the only formal offer on the table at the minute. Who's to say Kenny Huang, Sheikh Mo or the Al-Kharafi family won't make a better offer later this week.

They call me Cuban Pete. . .

Sky sports news:
Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi has just anouced that his bid for liverpool will be in place before kick off sunday against Arsenal.
Meaning Kirdi and his backers Some middle eastern, and candian businessmen could be in control by the weekend.
If all parties are satisfyed with the deal Meaning the board, rbs, the F.A and the premier league all feel that Kirdi is the right bid to take the club forward.

I don't know anything about Kirdi, but i hope the club can move forward under him.

In response to above-

Don't get to carried away with this statement as it is excatly the same statement they gave to the same reporter from Sky Sports (Alan Myers).

In this statement they say "They have agreed a price with Hicks and Gillett" But they did not say they had agreed a price with the board in which Broughton even said himself "The 5 man board will decide the sale of the club" Remember Gillett has connections to Kirdi.

I can see this one maybe going all the way to the High Court if G&H are out voted.

News from Liverpool is kirdi will takeover before the game on Sunday. After looking into the serian businessman it appears he is only a millionair there for my question is how can he afford to be the front runner to take over at the club? He has promised to clear the debt and start the construction of the new stadium. There is no promises of funds available to Roy and it echoes in my mind is this guy the right person to take over the club? After all he is a millionair and not a billionaire. My opinion would be to accept the offer from Huang who has promised to clear the debt and build a new stadium but also promised to give Roy significant funds to rebuild the team. This Gud can get us into the Asian markets which in its self can only be good for the club. Although it will be good for the club that the yanks are gone there's a doubt in my mind, is this the right person to take the club to were it needs to be with the money that city and chelsea have, I don't know. All I do know is things can't get any worse. If anyone can answer my questions id appreciate it. Ed how do you feel about this? YNWA

09 Aug 2010 20:05:17
Skysports just sayed tht they expect the club to be sold around the time we play arsenal :O

i hope this is true because then we can buy top players to strenghten the squad ie. LB CM ST, hope we can sign aguero tawio and de rossi, that wud certainly make us win the premiership.

Takeovernews::::

Sahara Gp pulled because of 2 bids being above the Groups valuation of LFC,

As everyone now knows kirdi has AGAIN broken ranks and made a statement for only 1 reason he is running scared as he is being matched all the way by another bid that is equally money spining for H*G

Also it points to an air of desparation from his consortium to have on 3 occaisions broken an agreement of ABSOLUTE silence on the buyout,

All of this in my opinion favours the Kuwait bid

I have no idea who the knew owner is going to be. What I do know is that: Broughton and Purslow will have made their descision by Friday 13th August. It will be announced possibly on Friday, but most likely on Saturday, the name(s) of the new owners.

I know this simply because Purslow sent a 10 day warning notice to the FA concerning the takeover on the 3rd of August. 10 days time the 13th. That is the date.

Not a rumour, more an observation. Despite re-signing Aurelio, it's widely agreed that we'll still sign another left back. Some are saying Figueroa because he's relatively affordable and has EPL experience, others are leaning towards Konchesky and Bridge simply because they're home grown. Meanwhile a lot of people are dismissing the Reto Ziegler rumour as being paper-talk simply conjured up because he's Swiss and therefore likely to be well-known to Hodgson. However, I think that Reto IS the most likely target, not only is he younger than the others, has EPL experience and is cheaper than all of them bar Konchesky, but crucially, he'd ALSO be classed as home grown as he spent 3 seasons with Spurs from the age of 18 - surely that makes him a top contender for the #3 shirt?

Posted for the first time about two weeks ago regarding take over, my source works at anfield and told me about the cole transfer and an abu dabi based group taking over the club about a week before cole signed.everbody then jumped on the kenny huang bandwagon, sky sports have just said that kirdi is about to take over. My source has come good for me yet again. You can verify this Ed if you look back to my original post.Anymore proper rumours and i will let you all know so get ready with your betting slips.Redbazza

Mo'N has resigned because Milner has been sold to Man. Sh*ty and Ashley Young to LFC.
He will go back to Celtic once Lennon has been sacked.
Won't take long!

Ssn broke the news last week that Kirdi was on the brink of completing a deal and they seem to have done the same again tonight despite claims that tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber are using Kirdi to up the selling price!

What is true though is that Huang has contacted the SOS Supporters Union asking to meet to discuss the terms of his bid so it sounds like this bid is very serious.

SSN-breaking news(for us anyway)the syrian buisnismen and his group have agreed a deal and hope to have got pen on paper by the time we kick of against arsenal on sunday.they say they have passes the premier league checks and they just need to hold a meeting with the yanks the premier league etc etc.they will pay of all our debts and finance a new stadium in stanley park.they will also provide funds for transfers, unfortunatly after the arsenal game but we will have 2 weeks of splashing out thereafter.good news celebrate.CELEBRATE!!

if the board have their way the yanks might want them in but nobody else does.

Team to face Arsenal on sunday:

Reina

Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio

Gerrard, Mascherano

kuyt, Cole, Jonanovic

Ngog

Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Rodriguez, Lucas, Babel

Sorry to say there will not be any new faces before the Arsenal match, and don't expect any new faces until after the Yahya Kirdi takeover which might go through by sunday. If there are any new transfers to come in then they will be done after the takeover. But if the takeover happens after the 1st september then i can't imagine any big transfers coming to liverpool until the next transfer window in January.

Sorry Basil

Not a rumour as such, as I've not heard this on any grapevine or from any inside source.

Just really wondering what to make of the whole O'Neill leaving Villa situation. I'd heard that he'd leave if Villa decided to sell Ashley Young - apparently, he'd said as much in an interview (I've searched, but found nothing to back this up).

If this is the reason (a big 'if', I might add), could it be that he's Anfield bound? - Roy is certainly an admirer and Young is definitely a player that could improve our current team.

It's also worth noting that Redknapp has been trailing Young for some time - however, I'm not sure that Spurs have the same need for him, or could offer him guaranteed first-team football.

What do you guys think? - this is purely speculation on my part, but I do think he'd be a superb signing for us.

On another note - it sounds like Maschie will be staying for the time being. Moratti has said that they cannot look to make a purchase of that scale for the time being, obviously we've put a price on his head and stuck to our guns. I'm personally quite happy about this as I do think he's a quality player - but, it does concern me somewhat. His contract will only run out and - because of the fact that he wants to leave for personal reasons and this is unlikely to change - we're unlikely to have another chance to demand a decent transfer fee for him. Still, if he stays and plays an important role in getting us back into the top 4, I'm happy.

Parma Violet.

KIRDI SEALS DEAL GILLET AND HICKS WIN
LFC LOSE

09 Aug 2010 19:33:39
I think the new owner is a great choice for the club. He said they will pay off all the debt and also build the new stadium. Didn't mention about players though but im sure we will have some money but just a decent amount. I'm glad of that didn't want the club ending up like Man City with almost a new squad every season i would rather a few decent additions to what we already have and to keep a good group of home grown players. I would like 40 mil to bring in another decent striker though Aguero would be nice pretty please or even a cheaper option like Kenwyn Jones or Remy .

The Spirit Of Shankly - ShareLiverpoolFC groups have been approached by representatives of Kenny Huang who restated Kenny Huangs position as the REPRESENTATIVE of a serious bid for the ownership of Liverpool FC.

The fans groups were told that Mr. Huang intends to be in Liverpool in the near future and he has asked to meet with representatives of both Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC as the bidders see Spirit of Shankly - ShareLiverpoolFC as key stakeholders in the Club and the views of the Liverpool supporters are critical to the way they will approach any deal.

They have made it clear that any discussion forum would be entirely without prejudice, in order to learn more about Spirit of Shankly – ShareLiverpoolFC, what the organisations want and to see if there are mutual areas of agreement.

Both supporters groups have welcomed the approach and restated their own position that they are keen to engage with those charged with selling the Club and any credible potential purchasers.

In the same way that no potential purchaser would commit to any wish list from the supporters, Spirit of Shankly - ShareLiverpoolFC will not supply any endorsement to any potential purchaser without the most rigorous of examinations. This examination will include:

1. That they will be proper custodians of Liverpool FC recognising and never forgetting the unique nature of this Club;

2. That they invest proper equity into the Club to eliminate the current debt and to provide the funds to undertake the capital expenditure necessary to rebuild the Club including a solution to the stadium challenge and sufficient funds to allow the team to properly compete on the field;

3. That they are serious about engaging positively to seek ways in which the supporters are able to obtain an equity stake, with proper representation at Board level, within the Club.

Excellent work by the guys at Spirit Of Shankly - ShareLiverpoolFC who we can rely on to make all our feelings known. Good luck boys & keep up the good work.

The Kirdi deal will involve all debts being paid and new stadium. . Don't panic !! they are not going to publish how much transfer money will be available to the manager. .we don't want every club and agent screaming for an extra £5 million over the asking price. Trust the current board. once bitten twice shy. The futures bright. . Torres, Gerrard ,Joe Cole they know what is going on. . and it's about time.

Its looking more likely kidri is going to be the next owner of liverpool fc and has said he will clear all debt and build a new stadium. Iv heard nothing about transfer funds and if the deal is to be completed by the weekend roy will look at the sqaud after the arsenal game and may want to improve it so lets hope he will give at least 50-80mill for hodgson to improve b4 deadline of tw and if he does give funds expect to have a few very good players signed on deadline day

More News about the Liverpool Sale;

The announcement by Indian conglomerate Sahara Group that they were not following through their interest in Liverpool to the bidding stage have cleared the way for Chinese businessman Kenny Huang and Syrian-Canadian Yahya Kirdi whom appear to be the two front runners, although New York-based investment firm the Rhone Group and Kuwaiti Al-Kharafi family have also been linked.
Liverpool have asked interested parties to submit formal proposals, including proof of funds and detailed plans for the construction of a new stadium in Stanley Park, by the end of this week because The club are still hopeful of completing a deal before the end of the month to afford manager Roy Hodgson at least some time to take advantage of an open transfer window.
Hicks and Gillett are not inclined to support the bid by Huang, as he has insisted there will be no profit for the Americans in his calculations over what the club is worth.
Instead they favor the option put forward by Kirdi, who last week claimed he was at an advanced stage with his negotiations, who is offering more than his Hong Kong-based rival.

I hope those yanks don't get a penny more than what the club is worth and hopefully by the beginning of next week we should have an idea of who is the serious bidder.

Just heard that the Syrians have won the race to sign Liverpool, good news but not the best as they are not as well off as Kenny Huang as he had the backing of the Chinese government. debts will be cleared and stadium will be built but there wont be ridiculous money like city have, although we will be the 2nd richest team in the prem. expect 1 or 2 big signings before the transfer widnow closes one being a striker and the other being a midfielder, heard aguero's name being thrown around quite alot!

To the guy who said "expect roy to swoop for ashley young" i laughed at this. not because i dont think it will happen, (i think it will and hope it will!) but because i think Roy looks like an owl and i imagined him literally swooping for Young lol.

Hopefully we get Ashley Young or SWP and get rid of Kuyt or Maxi (they're gettin a bit too old!)

This is a 10 day notification.
Takeover will happen 13th August, in 4 days.

Hey all some people may need to get there head outta their ass. Liverpool have a large squad so stop sayin we are goin to sign 10 players there will be 4 players make but definetly 3 a striker don't know about crouch!what you think ed? Definatley poulsen as confirmed.brad jones looks likely.and mayb a left back if insua goes still hopin for lopez! Things didn't go well last year but we can't lose the faith last year alonso and arbeloa left and we dropped 23 more points than previous season just poor form it's a strong squad this year and with all the fans behind them we can really push the other teams what we can all do now is get our best member of the squad call the fans and drive our team on up the table past all these pretenders like spurs and man s* tty really think kuyt will be used as a striker if some of value comes we don't need to splash unnecessary cash

To those posting that Roy to swoop for Ashley Young now.

Roy is apparently a huge admirer of the winger and rumours are that he made Young his Number 1 transfer target when coming in. BUT if we're focussing on getting a good striker, we have limited funds for Young. The only way we could get Young is if Mascherano sold - there is a delay as Inter waiting to sell. Tottenham might get in there first as they have already lodged a bid for Young (it might even have been accepted as Martin O'Neil had said that he'd resign in Young sold behind his back and guess what? Reckon a Spurs/Young deal is close - we would have to come in quick to match it).

09 Aug 2010 18:31:01
Ok heres the thing some *ick comes in here acting like he knows everything about every player when he probably doesnt even know who our captain is he comes in slagging off lucas who was our most consistent preformer last season. Watch the reds and then come and post

the news is that a deal to takeover the club will be signed before the match against arsenal on sunday and know this doesnt mean we are sold we will have to wait at least a week for the proper persons test i dont know who the deal has been agreed with but any news and il post

ive also got a cousin in the midlands who was telling me last night of talks between martin o'neill and randy lerner. O'Neill has resigned now and the talks last night were about a bid being accepted by villa for milner from liverpool without o'neills approval and hes not getting all the funds.

Source Ssn;

Kirdi takeover to be completed hopefully by the arsenal game.

Expect to see the new owners make a marquee signing to announce themselves to the world and to the fans, my thoughts would be the widely mentioned aguero, or maybe even the double swoop for Ashley young, and either Suarez or huntelaar. One thing is for certain Torres needs a partner, which as far as we can see may just be Joe cole or a new signing . However we also need someone who can step in if Torres pulls up again

Talk suggest that the burger king Indus will finally look for a MacroMaker in Italy, I can see a LB like taiwo or figeroa coming in with ayrelio and Kelly to cover

In reply to this:

HI ALL, bit of breaking news that might concern liverpool.martin o niell has quit his job at villa with imediate effect.he said he would if his good players were sold without his say so.could he have quit now because of finding out about players who hav been sold behind his back.could we be getting one of there talents?could milner, a young or agbonglahor be on there way to anfield?discuss

Milner has been sold to Man city behind Martin O'Neill's back and he doesn't want Milner to leave Aston Villa. So Martin being strong minded man has quet the club due to the owners selling players behind his back. I don't think any Villa players are coming to Liverpool. But i would welcome any of the above players to Liverpool, Milner, Young, Agbonglahor with open arms

Whether or not Inter can afford the player, I very much doubt that they would be willing to pay the ridiculously high price that is thrown about. I suspect that unless another club show an interest, Inter will make a bid in the last week of the transfer window for less than euro 20M.

Did you just say Kuyt was crap? You're clearly either not a Liverpool fan, or have never watched a game. He's one of our best players; I've never seen a player that works as hard.

I don't think throwing our youth players in at the deep end is a good idea if we want to win anything this year. I think it would be better to use the league cup like Arsenal do. Also, although I'm sure they'll be good players, they're hardly the Giggs, Scholes, Neville, Beckham batch of youngsters that SAF had.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

SHUT UP. "Ive never seen a play work so hard" Paula Radcliff would work hard, doesnt mean shes any good, just means she can run a lot. He would be laughed at in any of the top 4 currents squads.

Liverpool to Buy

Ben Arfa, the skillful french winger and also very quick.
Deal almost done with Poulsen.
Shaun Wrights Phillips could be heading towards Liverpool, whos asking for a £60, 00 a week wage, which arsenal dont wanna pay.
Remy the french striker might be coming to liverpool.

Dont buy Crouch and sell Lucas to inter and if Mascranos wants to go to inter let him go and exchange with cambiaso

Sorry but Italian clubs can only sign 1 non EU player each transfer window . Would like t see lucas go i have to say.

Dont buy Crouch and sell Lucas to inter and if Mascranos wants to go to inter let him go and exchange with cambiaso

BenArfa is another Babel, all potential and no delivery. No thank you. SWP, even at half the wages, offers no value on top of other players already in the squad. No thank you. Remy? Difficult to say if he would crack it in Prem. Are we really going to compete for players being looked at by Stoke?? Goodness me, thankfully, there vis no sign whatsoever that RH has ever seriosly considered making a bid for Remy. Poulsen will prove to be a good buy, and Cambiasso would cost too much and probably wouldn't want to come to England.

Clear things up

were not gonna sign aguero
the new owners are not going to come in and on the first day bid 30M + for a player
we dont want to be Man.C

crouch- good for us last time, but we dont want him to do a fowler- dissapointing return
poulsen- yes he's old but he's expeirienced.
Remy- not going to happen
Turan- cross fingers

but i think with cole on board and torres and gerrard commiting futre, LFC could go all the way this season, if we play to our potential

The sahara group have pulled out of buying liverpool. Reason being a bid that they are not willing to match has been submitted by a potential buyer (have not heard who yet). Deal could all but be done unless any new bids come in to prolong the deal as Broughton has to access every deal. Sahara group have said they may come back in for liverpool if the circumstances change (if the current bid falls through or the bidder is rejected by Liverpool/the Premier League. All genuine expect it to be in all of tomorrows newspapers.

Why does everyone keep linking former players with a return to the club?
riise and crouch have both had their day. . . i would be gutted if they came back to liverpool. . . . . . . .
if we are going down that road i'd prefer kenny to partner torres, alan kennedy at left back and souness to replace mascherano

09 Aug 2010 16:21:42
To the post who said i would have cisse back so would i as back up and to partner with torres on occasion depending on the formation, because i would have cisse anyday over ngog, yes and before anyone says hes young yes he is but better strikers have played a lot younger than him and on occasion hes like bambi his legs are all over the place, and ask your self who would you rather have one on one with the keeper, especially on a tight budget.

SWP is great player and he is english and if we can get him at a decent price why not ? Poulson is getting on. . but so was Gary Mac ? And peter Crouch has never disgraced himself playing for any club he has signed for. . beggars cannot be choosers.

09 Aug 2010 16:14:06
Sky Sports have reported as breaking news that Ben Arfa is actually seeking and discussing a season long loan with Newcastle.
They have also just cryptically announced that the Indian bidders "Sahara Group" (apparently they have been linked with a buyout previously!) will not be furthering their interest in acquiring LFC AT PRESENT!

Inter President has said he is happy with his younger midfielders at present and has no money or intention to proceed with the purchase of MASCH.

Personally one of 3 things need to happen to kick start real movements in the transfer window for LFC.

#1 Man City Open the coffers and buy Ballotelli which will start the Ballotelli - Mascherano - LFC purchase(s) chain of events.

#2 BARCA decide to open their chq book and grant MASCH (what I still assume is his preferred move) again enabling LFC to fund some purchases.

#3 Looking more unlikely by the day BUT if the Takeover happens you would expect monies to available for 1 Marquee signing (yes Aguero would be a great addition) but realistically lets get a solid LB in first.

NOTE #1 - If MCFC are canny and realise their power in the market I would be waiting until 16:00 on 31/08/2010 to spend a large wedge and snooker everyone who wants to use their cash to fund their own purchases - let's just hope that doesn't happen.

NOTE to many on the site don't underestimate the benefits of keeping KUYT he's no flash boy but remember you still need a couple of workers in the team. We all agree commitment is important to our team and Dirk never shirks!

*Liverpool have emerged as contenders to sign England midfielder Shaun Wright-Phillips, boss Roy Hodgson is contemplating a £7 million move for the international (£7m would be a good deal I think)

* Harry Redknapp is considering allowing striker Peter Crouch to rejoin Liverpool so he can free up a move for Nice forward Loic Remy (I would like to see Crouchy back)

* Liverpool have made enquiries to sign West Ham's Carlton Cole, but have been put off by a valuation in excess of £10 million (£10m is too much I think)

* Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that the club failed in a bid to sign former defender Sami Hyypia (I'm sure he wasn't coming back to play, maybe a coaching role)

Latest in the Liverpool sale saga;

*Good News;

KENNY HUANG will step up his bid for control of Liverpool this week by making a formal offer of about £400million.
Chinese entrepreneur Huang has had positive discussions with Anfield officials and Barclays Capital, who are assisting in the sale of the club, over the weekend and will look to speed up the process.
Huang has already outlined the broad basis of his bid, but plans to formally present a legally binding document showing proof of funding in the next few days.
Liverpool have not set a deadline for bids and chairman Martin Broughton is adamant he will not be rushed into making a decision in an attempt to avoid repeating the mistakes that saw George Gillett and Tom Hicks allowed to buy the club in 2007.
Hicks and Gillett are opposed to Huang's bid as it does not guarantee them any profit after three years at the helm and have instead been dealing with Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi.
It is claimed that Kirdi, who lives in Canada, is willing to pay £600m for Liverpool, which is more in line with the valuation.
Yet the fact that Kirdi's potential offer is so high means it is being treated with scepticism by Anfield insiders. He too will have to put up or shut up in the coming days.

*Bad News;

Tom Hicks and George Gillett could form an unlikely alliance over the two most prominent bids to buy Liverpool Football Club.
The two American owners fell out over approaches made to Jurgen Klinsmann to replace Rafa Benitez as Liverpool manager three years ago. However, they may now be forced to work together in order to push through Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi's bid to purchase the Anfield club.
According to the Sunday Mirror, Hicks and Gillett are set benefit more financially by selling to Kirdi, whereas Chinese businessman Huang would pay off the club's debts and leave Hicks and Gillett with little profit.
Apparently, chairman Martin Broughton, managing director Christian Purslow and director Ian Ayre all favour Huang's bid, meaning that Hicks and Gillett could launch a legal challenge to stop the sale of Liverpool against their wishes, if the Huang bid is accepted.
The Sunday Mirror quotes a source close to Hicks and Gillett saying, "Liverpool will not be sold unless the deal is acceptable to the current owners. Their valuation of the club remains unchanged and it is ludicrous to think that any bid will be accepted that doesn't meet this criteria, regardless of the make-up of the boardroom."

*Ugly News;

Liverpool are two months from becoming majority-owned by the taxpayer, which, the Observer can reveal, has become the likeliest outcome if a sale has not neared completion in that time.
The Royal Bank of Scotland's main £237m loan to the club expires on 6 October and must either be repaid or rolled over. Additional sums owing to RBS are believed to have increased the club's total debt to the bank to £325m. Liverpool's company secretary, Ian Silvester, said: "From what I understand, and that's all I can say, the urgency is there due to the pressure from the banks, so I would anticipate that something will be happening within the next four to six weeks or so."
One option open to RBS would be to put the club's parent company, Kop Football (Holdings), into administration, but that is not favoured since it would almost inevitably lead to a nine-point deduction under Premier League insolvency rules. Instead, the Observer has learned, unless one of the parties involved in negotiations to take over at Anfield follows through with a formal offer, RBS's corporate-restructuring team would assume control of Liverpool and run the club as a wholly owned subsidiary. That would effectively put the five-times European champions in the hands of the taxpayer who, through the government-owned UK Financial Investments Ltd, holds 84.42% of the issued share capital in RBS.
When the loans last required refinancing in April Martin Broughton was installed by RBS as club chairman. This is said to have been due to the inability of the current shareholders, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, to provide the necessary personal guarantees to the bank. But those close to the situation say RBS's patience has now reached breaking point. In the absence of a takeover or fresh funding from the Americans the bank will be entitled to oust Hicks and Gillett from the board of Kop Football (Holdings), a step the bank is believed to be ready to take in October.
"One or two in the bank are getting twitchy about getting their money back at all," a source said. "And they are incredibly nervous about the current bids. They don't regard anything as particularly serious at the moment."
Those said to be keen on bidding include the Chinese Kenny Huang, the Syrian Yahya Kirdi, the Kuwaiti Kharafi Group, the US private-equity firm Rhône Group and, reportedly, now the Indian conglomerate Sahara.
RBS's prerequisite in the sale process is for repayment in full, though none of the bidders has yet provided proof of funds. This is highly significant since formal due diligence cannot therefore proceed, despite pledges from several consortiums to build a new stadium and invest in the team.
That is when buyers would look for the first time over player contracts, planning applications surrounding the stadium and a host of other legal issues that could potentially throw up obstacles to a takeover. Due diligence can take weeks, so the chance of a takeover before the closure of the transfer window on 31 August is remote. There is also a growing possibility that the 6 October deadline will not be met.
In an effort to bring greater order to the chaos around Anfield, Broughton has issued a request for all parties to demonstrate their funding by the end of the coming week. There were indications yesterday from Huang's camp that he will show he is capable of financing a bid. However, for the first time there was an admission that any cash he has raised will not derive from China's sovereign wealth fund, the China Investment Corporation. That development raises issues over the credibility of Huang's bid, since those inside the sale process had previously been informed by his camp that CIC was involved.
Broughton will seek this week to apply similar pressure to Kirdi, whose consortium's credibility has been called into question by those involved in the sale process. If neither Huang nor Kirdi can meet Broughton's terms by next weekend, Liverpool will have no further contact with them.
That would leave only two, possibly three, bidders at the table. And without one of Rhône, Kharafi or Sahara proceeding over the next nine weeks to a stage where a takeover is almost a foregone conclusion, the prospect that Liverpool become effectively a state owned enterprise rises.

With things being so quiet on the Mascherano front, I'm beginning to wonder if he will leave this window. Ballotelli's stupid (mindless?) wage demads have had City backing off, so will Inter be able to make a decent offer for Masch? I'm willing to bet they don't offer more than 20m if they do bid and I think RH wouldn't let him go for under 25, on principle. Barca are unlikely to bid for him with Busquets doing so well. Some suggest they will bid now they can't get Fabregas. Are they kidding? Why would they go for a defensive mid after trying to buy an attacking mid? Yet it looks as if RH is going ahead with Poulsen anyway. .so I wonder if we may see a late sale of Lucas before the window closes?

To all those who slag kuyt off give him a break the bloke plays out of position doing a job for the team, I like most fans would love to play for Liverpool in any position just to play and that's what he does, I agree he is to slow for the wing but he's not a winger he's a striker a player who likes to stay in the box and I would play him from the bench as a backup striker, one thing I hope Roy does and that's playing players in there positions that they were bought go play in.

When are the armchair critics going to undertsand why not only Rafa but also the Dutch coach play Kuyt wide. He is far from being a clinical striker and his lack of speed prevents him from leading the line as Torres does. His lack of technique also prevents him from being played in the #10 position directly behind the striker.

Hello my fellow Scousers.

Big news from the man that told you about Joe Cole's imminent arrival early on in the summer. Unfortunately, because I am an honest man who has not got his head in the clouds these rumours may not be as exciting as you want or what you WANT to happen. They are the truth.

Outs
Insua will join Genoa in the next few days for a fee believed to be around £4,500,000. Mascherano will be joining Inter Milan for £22,000,000 as soon as Balotelli joins City (imminent).

Ins
Peter Crouch is not coming back to Anfield. Djibril Cisse is not coming back to Anfield. Come on guys! In the next week Liverpool will unveil the signings of Maynor Figueroa, Christian Poulsen, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. This will complete Hodgson's summer spending.

My source is unbelievably reliable and even told me about Owen going to United last year.

Kenny Huang will take control of the club but dont expect any big spending until January and/or next summer.

Utter, utter nonsense.

Firstly - we're going to sign Kjaer, despite the fact that he signed for Wolfsburg just a few weeks back?. I can only remember one player ever doing that: David Holdsworth. Signed for Villa, then went to Everton after a few days, thinking he'd made a mistake (AV made a few quid out of that). That definitely won't happen.

Secondly, why on earth would Aguero and Purslow be in Kuala Lumpur? - I think they've both got a fair few things to do in Spain and England respectively, especially considering the proposed Liverpool takeover.

Thirdly, I'm firmly in the camp that believes that Khirdi is blowing hot-air. I don't think there's much behind his bid, to be honest. Plus, the guys based in Canada - so, what's he doing in KL too?

I know that we're all very excited (or anxious) over the takeover, but let's not start talking utter rubbish.

To all those that have mentioned Wickham as a target - let's hope so. I have a friend who's a huge Ipswich fan and he says that the lad is going to be the next Shearer and future England striker. If we were to buy him now (apparently, Keane would be writing his own death warrant if he were to sell), let's hope we loan him back for a season - let the kid play and get some experience at a decent level.

Parma Violet.

Looks as if poulsen will be signed, so stop with the negativity and lets get behind him if he actually does. What do we know to pass judgement on him when he's never kicked a ball in England as far as I know. Remember Molby, danish central midfielder he wasnt bad was he, bet no one was sayin we shouldn't sign him. I have watched Poulsen play and let me tell you the lad can play, hes a great strong ball winning midfielder who can also pass and is much more of a goal threat than mascherano ever was. Yes he's a dirty bxxxard but surely can't be worse than masch, who i believe missed 12 games through suspension last season, and was lucky not to get sent off and suspended on all the other games he played in.

Love this site, check it out every day hoping more than expecting that more than 1 person will name a player who we are going to sign. I want genuine rumours not fantasy 11's. They are just wishful thinking and not rumours atall.
Aguero I too would love him, but being honest can't see it happening at least in this window anyway, and I've never heard Roy wants him either.
As for kjaer, where do you get that 1 from, he signed for Steve McClaren's Wolfsburg weeks ago.

Being from down south I am not right at the heart of the rumours from the city but I have a mate who is a steward at Anfield and gor some interesting rumours from him last night whne I rang him to see if he had any news on our beloved club and here's what I found out:

It seems like the Kenneth Huang deal has definately got legs and has been being worked on since latter stages of last season - the chinese Carlsberg shirt sponsor was no coincidence even though Standard Chartered's main business area is Asia. Although press reports are misleading as he is definately backed by CIC (the foreign investment arm of China) and we will have the richest backers in the football world - this is why Torres, Gerrard have commited and Joe Cole signed. They know it will be done soon and that we will be able to add quality to the squad.

He tells me there are lots and lots of smokescreens going on cos as soon as City hear of any interest from rival clubs they are just going in and either snapping the players up themselves or infalting the prices so that no-one can afford to compete.

Smoke screens - Arda Turan, Banega, Crouch, Wright Phillips, Defour, Veloso, Bridge.

Targets - Poulsen (yeah i'm afarid so), Forlan (not likely), Carlton Cole, Milner (but City have won this battle), the big signing that we are pushing for though is dependant on selling Macherano if we sell Mascha we are going to try to lure Fabiano to Anfield - nothing in the press about this and we want to keep City and Spurs out of the picture which is why e have bailed out of the bidding war for Loic Remy (so the Yids can bag him and won't have money for Fabiano).

Hopefully we get some squad reinforcements before Arsenal as backup for Torres is number one priority in my opinion.

Lets hope the takeover happens sooner rather than later and that next season we can go and bring Xabi Alonso home to anfield (thats what every Red dreams about!).

Liverpool to sign Connor Wickham in January once he's proved his fitness after his injury, the lads come out and said thats he a life long red and Roy has already shown interest!

09 Aug 2010 15:05:03
Gareth Barry has been told he can leave Man City by manager Roberto Mancini. This will of course alert Liverpool who I hear are only willing to pay a maximum of £7 million to get their man and all of this is dependant on Javier Mascherano leaving the club.

This is the reason why Poulsen has not yet signed!

Roberto Mancini has apparently sealed the signing of a 'huge' international central midfield star according to my source at the club.

Barry has yet to respond to these rumours but has been training this week and been speaking to his agent about possible destinations.

09 Aug 2010 15:04:10
Id take cisse back if he was offered. Wouldnt be too expensive, still got a bit of pace. .and more importantly he loves the club. He's shown the most desire to play for LFC that i can remember.

IT IS ALL GOIN TO HAPPEN IN 2 WEEKS TIME

Simon Kjaer signed a 4 year deal with Wolfsburg!

IF your going to spout lies try to make them sound good or just Google it to make sure your lies are credible.

Why are Liverpool out to buy old and average players like Poulson and Crouch! Instead we should be buying young exciting talent like Remy, Banega, Turan and Ben Arfa who I see as much more of a good investment!

I agree it would be great to see some of the names mentioned above but people seem to have forgot the new P/L rule and the fact 7/8 of the players have to be "home grown" players and we just don't have the time to swap some of our poor foreign players out and bring in better quality. Think we need a couple of players this transfer window and then see the new owners dig deep into their pockets in january/next summer

09 Aug 2010 14:53:20
Some transfer websites are saying the brad jones and christian poulesn will go through soon for a combined fee of 6-8mill and if we sell the players we want we will bid for either carlton cole, peter crouch, loic remy and we will try and get ben arfa, wright phillips and try very hard to get arda turan

Simon Kjaer signed for Wolfsburg a few weeks ago so you're talking nonsense!

09 Aug 2010 14:34:39
Poulsen - can't get a game with juve so why do we want him at 30 yo
Swp - can't get a game with city no end product
Crouch- no pace fairly average

Defour - all round cm player young and wants to prove himself
Hleb - quality premiership proven player
Turan - young quality peter beardsley type player
Heinze - experienced player who still has it also cheap

Liverpool to Buy

Ben Arfa, the skillful french winger and also very quick.
Deal almost done with Poulsen.
Shaun Wrights Phillips could be heading towards Liverpool, whos asking for a £60,00 a week wage, which arsenal dont wanna pay.
Remy the french striker might be coming to liverpool.

Dont buy Crouch and sell Lucas to inter and if Mascranos wants to go to inter let him go and exchange with cambiaso

SSN say Hatim ben arfa going to Newcastle for 1 year loan which will cost them 1m.

09 Aug 2010 14:15:26
Peter crouch is not the answer. . . . while i'll agree he done a decent enough job for us last time round, he is consigned to our history books
the takeover will be completed soon and we will be able to compete in the transfer market with our rivals. . . why else would gerrard and torres commit their futures with us. . it certainly wasn't just the arrivals of joe cole or roy hodgson as manager that made up their minds. .

09 Aug 2010 14:14:43
To this guyI really don't see what is so great about Poulsen, he is a 30 year old dane with a bad attitude. Whereas Ever Banega is much younger, proven in La Liga and would only cost about 4m more.

From what has been circulating, the take over is due before the end of the transfer window, which means a marquee signing. I think Roy should splash out on Sergio Aguero to partner Torres.

I also think a new left back is needed, Maynor Figueroa is the best option unless we are taken over in which case, If I was in Roy's position I would bid for either Coentrao or Bastos, who can both play LM as well as LB.

If LFC are not taken over: (4, 1, 2, 1, 2)

Thought this forum was meant to be for rumours, not somewhere for jumped up kids to offer their fantasy teams - do you really think anyone cares what your opinions are, it means nothing! Stick to the banter or squad pages please.
Prefered previous set-up when it was mostly just rumours - however far fetched they were! Also was good to read them in context with rumours for other teams.
Just my opinion.

The s* te that comes out of some of ye is unbelieveable . we will not get turan nor defour or agrero or banega . now a byran ruiz would be an ideal signin coz he is alot , actually 10 times the player turan is . trust me on this one ,i've seen them both play a lot of times and not on utube . turan is class but ruiz is world class . another good signin wud be javi martinez very much the same player to alonso and very young aswell . look like its going to be a while before roy can get rid of rafas crap IE (KUYT NGOG LUCAS BABEL ) . he should give jonjo wilson kelly and pacheco a shot against arsenal and see how they get on . hate sayin this but just look at wot alex does wit the youth players at manu . he gives them a chance and just look at the success hes had over the last 20 years . another thing , heard on this website that crouch poulsen bridge huntelar are linked . i mean will u come the f*ck ,this is L F f*ckING C and NOT A f*ckING CLUB FOR THAT ATTRACTS f*ckING USELESS MUPPETS . if the take over is completed i honestly can't see roy lasting that long either . that go's for the same as any other manager if they were in his position . just imagine tryin to train a team were more than half of them wudn't even be able to spell there own f*cking name never mind playin a bit of ball ( useless wankbags ) . Why is everyone intent on Roy bringing in a left winger such as Turan. I don't believe this will happen as this is why Jovanovic has been brought to the club. I feel he has already shown enough in the Europa league game to show he is eager and willing to perform for us.

A right midfielder is more important, and if the links with SWP are true that would be great for us, much like the J Cole signing. As I'm sure with an arm around his shoulder Roy would get the best from SWP.

Crouch coming back too would be good - for me Torres, Kuyt, Crouch and NGOG is not bad up front, and you could include Babel as a striker maybe too. Give these boys the service and they'll bag you goals.

What I'm trying to say is, we can't expect more than this in the xfr window. Poulsen in when Masch goes and if Crouchy and SWP come then thats a strong enough squad to get top 4 and as long as we go out strong every game, enough to win some silverwear (hopefully pushing for the league.)

Other than this rumours mean nothing & don't expect any of them to come to anything.

Shaun wright-phillips has been told he can leave Manchester City for about £7million. But Arsenal are unwilling to pay him more than the £65,000 a week he earns at City. That has opened the door for Roy Hodgson to beat Arsene Wenger again after the Liverpool boss persuaded Joe Cole to move to Anfield ahead of the Emirates. Wright-Phillips turned down City's offer of a £10,000-a-week wage hike at the end of last season.

Broughton ayre and purslow want k huang hicks wants kirdi and gillet wants rhone group. btw rhone group are not serious bidders either is kirdi as they dont have the serious backing that huang has, apparently huang met with torres and sg over the last three weeks and promised them serious funds would be made available to rh i dont know how much but i do know this happened.Kirdiis like a pace setter and will fall away this week. Looks like ere could be a serious split on the board, If LFC is to progress as a club just hope huang takes over nd not the rest.

To the person who posted this
mascherano may be staying at least till january to give roy a chance to prove himself as liverpool manager.
if he stays poulsen wont be required so money could go towards either a winger or striker my preference would be turan and play him and Kuyt out wide helping Torres
team would then be
- - - Reina- - - - -
Johnson- Carra- Agger- Aurelio
- - - - Mascherano- - -
- Cole- - - Gerrard- -
Maxi/Kuyt- -Turan/Jovanovic
- - Torres- - -
Mascherano had already proved himslef he wants to leave so probably will be

I think the guy that posted this was referring to Mascherano giving Hodgeson a chance to prove himself as a manager not Mascherano proving himself as a player to Hodgeson.

Roy is taken a gamble buying players from seria A ( thats if he does go for grandad poulsen ) . No player has ever proven himself in england that came from there . There just not up to the challange . seria A is to slow and boring .
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What a load of garbage. Some players coming to the Prem from seire A have flopped, true enough but look at Zola, Vialli, DiMatteo, DiCanio, Ravenelli among others. They all excelled, sometimes at struggling clubs. Bergkamp and Henry came via Italian clubs and they weren't too bad now, were they? Poulson is decent, i'd prefer Defour. Connor Wickham is going to be a Red, trust that! In Woy we Twust! Welease Wodewick!

09 Aug 2010 12:45:38
I posted earlier with my realstic starting 11 and I can't c why ppl think is impossible lb gabby heinze would cost bout 3 mil max, rm hleb would get him for 7-8 mil and lm- arda turan max 15 and cm defour 10 mil that's 35 mill for all these signings with masch going for 25 mil we could easly sign these players which would make us a great football team with players who are very comfortable on the ball so let's c what ppl think now cheers

09 Aug 2010 12:31:53
To the guy who said that no one who ever came from Serie A made it inot the Premiership, do you consider Vieira, Henry and Zola to be flops? All came from Serie A.
Moving on, it seems that the takeover talks have gone a bit quiet of late, although not sure if that signals anything. Poulsen and Grygera are both being linked to Anfield, but Poulsen seems more likely. The Crouch deal seems possible seeing as Spurs are being linked to Remy in the press (who hasn't?). Regardless, expect Roy to sign a striker, a Mascherano replacement and maybe a left back if the Insua to Genoa move comes to fruition.

To all those who slag kuyt off give him a break the bloke plays out of position doing a job for the team,I like most fans would love to play for Liverpool in any position just to play and that's what he does,I agree he is to slow for the wing but he's not a winger he's a striker a player who likes to stay in the box and I would play him from the bench as a backup striker, one thing I hope Roy does and that's playing players in there positions that they were bought go play in.

09 Aug 2010 12:18:41
App liverpool's bid to land Christian Poulsen has moved a step closer after the midfielder was given permission to withdraw from Denmark's squad for the friendly with Germany.

"Roy is taken a gamble buying players from seria A ( thats if he does go for grandad poulsen ) . No player has ever proven himself in england that came from there . There just not up to the challange . seria A is to slow and boring ."

I'm sorry? - what about Zola, Henry and Bergkamp?. Those are just 3 that I could pick out within a few seconds - all came from Serie A to the Premiership and are some of the greatest names to ever grace the league. I personally think that Poulsen will prove to be a very good buy for us, he's experienced and cultured - he'll slot in perfectly. Besides, Maschie is hardly an olympic sprinter, is he? (does he even need to be in the role he plays? - I'd have thought that reading the game and positioning is the key to defending the back-four, something that is done expertly in Italy).

Also, I do think that all this hatred for Lucas, Kuyt and the like is getting particularly boring. They're Liverpool players; we should be backing them.

Parma Violet.

I really don't see what is so great about Poulsen, he is a 30 year old dane with a bad attitude.

If LFC are not taken over: (4,1,2,1,2)

Not so much a rumour as a conversation I had with a Liverpool Employee. He said he knew a city broker who has looked over one of the Liverpool bids, which he can as its available to see to brokers, evidently, He says if this one is accepted then its gonna be huge for Liverpool making them one of the richest clubs on the planet. Wouldn't say who it was from but then why would he. Might be true might not.

There is a whiff of slight panic emanating from Martin Broughton this Monday. His suggestions that deals need to be finalised and offers made by the middle of this week have an air of irritation as well.

Deals for players continue regardless of what is going on in the background; players are scouted, considered, deals weighed up and contacts made. The issues concerning fees are not always directly related to sales. Which is why I find it puzzling that we are finding the media linking the club sale with player movements.

We need a winger (either right OR left) and a forward before we bother with Mascherano's bleatings and worth. I find it hard to believe that RH (with KD's advice) has not looked at/considered/talked to Ada Turan's representatives. The same must also be said of Loic Remy and Alex Witsel. BUT . . we seem to be playing our cards close to our chest these days under RHG. This is a good sign.

I like the site and am mostly amused by the wild rumours. You know the sort - "spotted this and that in Tesco in Bootle. ." or "my mate's cat knows the dog that belongs to Carra's milkman. ." and the usual "this is my wish list of wild and improbale signings that will never do anything but waste inches on screen!"

What I will say on the rumour front is that I wonder if the reason any Huntelaar chat has died down is becuase we are saying one thing and talking with him on another?

Finally, the current squad. Babel deserves to be given a chance, as does Eccleston to show they have something that will benefit us. I have never understood whay we have the Academy, buy players, sign up the cream of young Europe, nurture them and then never give them a shot. Hernandez at Man.U is hardly older than Ecclestone or Pacheco and until the World Cup, was hardly a 'big' name. At least Ferguson will give young talent a chance. We have not done so since Owen, Fowler and Steven Gerrard. With so many talented players on the books, I hope RH will continue his exciting experiment and put them on the bench for PL games.

To the person who posted this
mascherano may be staying at least till january to give roy a chance to prove himself as liverpool manager.
if he stays poulsen wont be required so money could go towards either a winger or striker my preference would be turan and play him and Kuyt out wide helping Torres
team would then be
- - - Reina- - - - -
Johnson- Carra- Agger- Aurelio
- - - - Mascherano- - -
- Cole- - - Gerrard- -
Maxi/Kuyt- -Turan/Jovanovic
- - Torres- - -
Mascherano had already proved himslef he wants to leave so probably will be

BREAKING NEWS * *

Lucas Leiva uses this site!!

There is no other way so many deluded people would offer a very average player so much support!

I mean come on. . there is one thing being loyal, but trying to convince ourselves he is good enough for LFC?

Brazilian midfielder with no flair, no skill, cant pass, cant tackle, weak, cant shoot, poor in the air. . Not even a stylish haircut. .

HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY SEEN HIS PASSPORT?

Drop Lucas and we can think about silverware. . I promise you all now- if he gets to start 25+ games we wont even make top 4!

ANY GAUDER YNWA * *

He is a quality player and was infact one of our best players last season, also the fact hes an attacking midfielder by trade and hes playing a holding role is a change so give him a break. Also you say he cant shoot look at the tie against benefica he played, he played an attacking role and scored a quality goal!
So next time you want to chat complete s* t dont and instead go and suck on a pee-narse like a good little girl!

To the person who wrote Lucas is a quality player, you must be joking the lad is hopeless and Benitez decision to play him week in week out cost us a top 4 spot, I knoq Aqua was injured but Benitez should of spent the Alonso money better and brought in a quality CM like Diego Ribas da Cunha who signed for Juventus for 24mil now that is a brazilian player. Lucas would be a GOOD player but only that playing for a mid-table team. If Lucas plays again next season dont expect a title challange.

LFC all the way.

poulsen will join anfield by tuesday.
Crouch is in talks with liverpool for a return and will sign by friday.(due to english grown rule)
SHAWN Phillips is also in talks with liverpool for a 3 year deal.(maybe not sure)
and figueora will sign for lfc as soon as the isua deal is done.

Masch will leave for either INTER or barca or JUventus.

this will all conclude the liverpool summer transfer.

if the takeover is done before 31 aug. then we could see one big signing.

i believe that Liverpool will sign 3/4 players this week maybe start of next. These players will be poulsen for around £6mill, Crouch for £8-10mill, Wright-Phillips for £7mill and maybe Brad Jones as back up for the best keeper in the prem league pepe reina

Peter Crouch and Christian Poulsen will sign for Liverpool this week. Both should cost no more than a combined fee of £15million.

Poulsen asked to be withdrawn from the Danish national squad for their friendly against Germany due to "intense transfer negotiations taking place between Juventus and Liverpool" - Crouch asked the same from Fabio Capello for England's game against Hungary, both have been granted and confirmed.

Emiliano Insua's move to Genoa is hitting hard rocks, and it's still 50/50 as to whether he remains here, despite earlier speculation that a Genoa deal was done.

Figueroa is a Wigan player - and that will not change until Insua's moved on.

Crouch, Poulsen and Figueroa (?) will be the last high profile Liverpool signings this summer with Mascherano to go to Italy, either Inter Milan or Juventus.

If all goes to plan, Liverpool summer dealings will be:

IN: Jonjo Shelvey, Milan Jovanovic, Joe Cole, Danny Wilson, Peter Crouch, Christian Poulsen, Maynor Figueroa, Fabio Aurelio (re-signed).

OUT: Albert Riera, Yossi Benayoun, Javier Mascherano, Emiliano Insua.

People stop with the Crouch and Poulson rumours. It is believed that Bayern Munich have made a better bid for poulson and aslo CROUCH IS NOT COMING TO LIVERPOOL! Do you really think Roy wants him to come when there are so many other players better and cheaper then him? S. Aguero to Liverpool. FACT

Fernando Torres played with Sergio Aguero at Athletico Madrid for a year didn't he? I know that they know each other and are friends regardless I agree I think Sergio would love to partner Torres at Anfield just my opinion. .

Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton has given all prospective Liverpool owners until Wednesday evening to put bids on the table for the football club. This comes after much speculation, and much interest in the club from owners willing to take the club off the hands of unwanted American owners George Gillette and Tom Hicks.

Broughton, along with Barclays Capital, have been put in charge of finding a buyer for the club and have been in contact with supposedly six interested parties. It seems as if it is now business time for any potential new owner willing to make an offer for the club, and Broughton wants interested parties to put firm offers on the table for the club, including proof that they have the financial backing that they say.

Kenny Huang is expected to put a firm offer in for the club, said to be around £400m, with outlined plans for a new stadium, £150m investment for players, business plans to expand the LFC brand in the Far East, most notably in his native China and to clear the clubs debts. No-one knows yet who is backing Huang's bid, but it is clear that he has major support and means business. Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillette are said to prefer a bid from Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi who is backed by Canadian and Arab businessmen. His offer is said to be around £600m, but the Anfield club are taking his interest with caution, as thus far he has shown no indication that he can supply the club with much needed funding. Rumour has it that he is a close friend of Gillette's family, and that this bid is a mere delaying tactic used by the Americans to get a bidder willing to match their asking price.

Other interested parties are said to be the Indian businessmen Mukesh Ambani and Subrata Roy, who are proposing a joint bid for the club and have a combined fortune of almost £14.5bn.

Other rumours suggest that the Saudi Arabian Prince, Prince Khalid al-Faisal, could table a bid and vent support from the Saudi Royal Family whereas reports in Dubai suggest that Shiekh Mohammed and Dubai Investment Capital could return with a bid of around £450m, and produce proof of their mega-money plans for the club, which they proposed in 2008.

There is no indication as to who will table a bid for the club, and the negotiations have been kept firmly secret. Reports gathered suggest that Kenny Huang is the only serious bidder at the moment, and also the most preferred bidder. But based on Broughton's comments, bids will be reviewed by next Sunday at the very latest, and Liverpool could have a new owner within weeks.

To the nitwit who wrote the below.

Fernando Torres left Athletico Madrid in the summer of 2007.

Sergio Aguero joined Athletico Madrid in the summer of may 2006.

For 1 year they trained together and are still friends to this day.

Please get a proper job mate. . You need to apologise to me I think? Who are you? Who do you work for? Do you want to make personal bets regarding transfers? I am not afraid to and I can also tell you that Salcido is being looked at in Holland at PSV by Liverpool scouts. Scouts can look at players but it doesn't mean they will definitely buy the player being watched. I think you can assume by judging on the quality of the player that the scouts won't need much convincing I think Aguero needs Liverpool more then Liverpool need him.

All sounds good until the bit of 'Aguero will be coming to partner fellow team mate Fernando Torres' - team mate? I thought Aguero was Argentinian? RH is going to buy a class striker. He knows if the other team score 2 and his team score 3 that's all that matters. Crouch and Remy are just names being linked to the premier league side. But that's not who RH. I Read AS, two weeks ago They had a article saying that Torres was going to be Liverpool to accept Barca's offer. But RH talked him out of it and Promised a world class striker to partner him and take some load of. Mascherano will get sold and thats what the money will be used for. We had 15+ plus sales for players and we have already 32 mil and have spent 2 mil. To the people who say Liverpool are skint we have more money than Chelsea utd or arsenal now. This is how I see it. 6mil for Poulsen, a left back, a mid feilder, and now we can afford a world class striker. whether it be Huntelaar, Benzema, Lisandro, or Suarez or Aguero, or even Forlan if we really wanted sign them, We could. Liverpool fans if you read that bad times for liverpool dont believe. We are better off than most clubs. 15MIL+ 6MIL BENAYOUN+4 MIL REIRA+5 MIL= 30 MIL we have used 2 mil for wilson, so we have 28 mil left. There is where the rumors for Poulsen, Hleb, and Flamini come from. gd nite

To the person who responded with the following in relation to Aguero rumours:
"All sounds good until the bit of 'Aguero will be coming to partner fellow team mate Fernando Torres' - team mate? I thought Aguero was Argentinian? IF you work for a major newspaper please at least get your facts right. Shame everything else sounded believable till then - and, oh - I have a proper job: I suggest you look for the same?"

I think you will find that the original poster was referring to the fact that both Torres and Aguero played for Atletico Madrid. Aguero joined Atleti in 2006 and Torres left Atleti at the end of the 06/07 season. So, they were in the same team for a year.

I don't think Aguero will sign though, as I doubt we will have the takeover finalised in time for the finances to be in place for the transfer this window. It remains a possibility for the January window if the takeover goes through. . it all boils down to when/if we have the money. I don't doubt he would like to partner with Torres, but I am not sure if Champions League will be a stumbling block.

Liverpool are prepared to sign Luke Young for 3m the deal should be done by the 18th of august.

Another Rumour is that masherano won't be leaving because no club is willing to pay the asking price.

Peter Crouch is also rumoured to be interested in a return to liverpool and as tottenham have a high number of strikers the deal could be a cut price 10m.

To the guy who wrote Crouch or Edin Dzeko for around 20mil+, Dzeko wont go for anything less than 40m.

To all the 39 people that said that this rumour below is unbelievable need to investigate the facts. I work for one of the major news papers and have very reliable sources that follow scouts where they go and have sources inside the club too. What is so unbelievable about this compared to the dream rumours people are writing that has more believable hits then mine. I can tell you that Liverpool will not be buying ex players or players that the fans don't want. Roy is making a huge statement with J. Cole and believe me when i say this Liverpool need only 4 more big signings after the poulson transaction and 3 will be bought from the Mascherano deal and 1 bigger signing will be made after the takeover. Liverpool have a very good team and dont need to ruin it by buying loads of players to gel. YNWA I personally think Aguero will be coming to partner fellow team mate Fernando Torres because Roy has said he is going to buy a striker. No Remy or Crouch? These are ridiculous rumours! it makes sense that Sergio will be coming and Liverpool scouts are in Madrid too FACT not fiction. Get a life and investigate properly also get a proper job too.

Well in that case, hope the al-kharaffi takeover attempt FAILS as the additions are SWP, Poulsen, Remy and Cissokho which are ALLl affordable now with the money we have and the Mascherano sale). Any serious buyer would sign a quality, money signing of a striker (someone like Aguero or Suarez much needed) or winger.

09 Aug 2010 00:45:39
Here is my take on what will happen with Liverpool with whats left of the transfer window:

We will have new owners by deadline day, but will not gain much money if any at all to spend this summer on players.

Emiliano Insua will leave the club. He does not want to play for us as he has not been given a squad number thus far and knows that because Roy Hodgson accepted a 5mil bid for him when he was the only left back we had at the time, he is not wanted at the club. He will leave to an Italian club most likely to be Genoa.

Javier Mascherano could go to either Juventus or Inter Milan as he clearly does not want to be at Anfield, mainly due to the fact that his family don't like it in England and wish to leave. Juventus may get him in a player/money exchange deal with Poulsen coming to Liverpool along with around 20-25mil. Rafael Benitez is trying to bump down the price of the Argentinian to between 17-20m, claiming he knows him better than Roy Hodgson and knows his true value. Mascherano would prefer a move to Inter to be reunited woth Benitez but it seems from what I have said that it will be more likely he will go to Juventus as that deal suits Liverpool much better.

Liverpool will not buy another Left Back to replace the unwanted Emiliano Insua. Jamie Carragher or Daniel Agger will play there if Fabio Aurelio cannot due to injury or some other reason.

Roy Hodgson plans on bringing in a Mascherano replacement and he would like this replacement to be a home-grown player however as I have said before, Poulsen of Juventus seems most likely even if Mascherano does not go to Juventus. Roy Hodgson would prefer either Scott Parker or Gareth Barry but both of these players seem highly unlikely to be bought so Poulsen will be the player he settles for. Poulsen will not play in the Starting XI; Hodgson plans on utilising Alberto Aquilani and/or Steven Gerrard in his Defensive Midfield role with Poulsen as back-up.

Roy Hodgson wants a Striker that can score enough goals to relieve the pressure of goals and hopefully because of this, reduce the number of injuries received for Fernando Torres. This Striker, in Hodgsons preference, will be home-grown however it seems unlikely he will be able to get one good enough. Peter Crouch is most likely for between 7-12m but if that fails then Edin Dzeko could be purchased for around 20mil+ from the money gained from the sale of Javier Mascherano.

What do you guys all reckon?

All reports in the media concerning A. Turan who has said he dreams of playing at Anfield (We always sign players that say that) K. Ben Arfa and Figueroa are true and expect them to be Liverpool Players before the takeover of the club. Roy has said he is not prepared to gamble on waiting for transfer funds from new owners (Fact) And Liverpool are only shy of a few players to be genuine contenders to get back into the champions league next season which is the main target this year unfortunately.

The 4 signings will be made as part of the Mascherano deal which is believed to be around 28 Million and the 9 players listed below that are definitely leaving Anfield this summer. I personally think this is the Liverpool way and were not going to be making huge signings to make a golactico team when the takeover happens because Roy know's what he is doing and is sticking to the original plan.

When an investor buys the club Roy Hodgson will look to buy 1 star player to back Fernando Torres and send Danny Pacheco on loan.

Christian Poulsen's expected move to Liverpool could take longer than expected after it emerged that Bundesliga side Bayern Munich have made a late offer for the midfielder, matching Liverpool's asking price.

Speaking exclusivly to Danish newspaper Det Grønne Område, Poulsen's agent Jorn Bonnesen confirmed the offer from Bayern Munich, and said his client would prefer to move to the Bundesliga Champions. He said, "It is true that we have recieved a late offer from Bayern. They have matched Liverpool's bid and asked for my client to speak with them before deciding where his future lies." Bonnesen claims that Poulsen's Liverpool move was to be completed on Tuesday but says that Bayern's interest could delay, or even eradicate a move to Merseyside. "Obviously Christian speaks the German language, and he knows the league extremly well having played for Schalke" before adding, "No-one knows what the future holds. But I have spoken to Christian about the offer from Bayern, and he is extremly excited. We will hopefully hold talks and we'll see what happens. I know what we both prefer, and all I will say at this point is that Christian will definatly be playing in either the red of Liverpool or the red of Bayern in the near future."

Please let is be true and get someone like Kevin Prince Boetang for the same price and is a quailty player.

An announcement will be made today (August 9th) by Liverpool Football Club. It is unknown whether this announcement is to confirm the signing of Christian Poulsen, to confirm a deal has been agreed to re-sign Peter Crouch or an announcement on the takeover. My sources are always highly accurate but this announcement is being kept such a secret that no one other than of course the board and manager know anything about.
My contacts have told me it is more likely to be a development in the Christian Poulsen transfer, a deal is in place for £5million, its just a case of a medical and signing the contract. Poulsen will wear number 6.
Peter Crouch is still very much a target, Roy wants to take him back to Anfield and partner him with Torres with Crouch the target man and playing just slightly off Torres. Liverpool need his ariel ability, trickery inside the box, and another homegrown player. He would be given his old number 15 shirt.
Brad Jones is also expected to join on a 3 year deal for £2.5million, this should be completed by the middle of the week. Boro accepted a bid over the weekend and Jones will undergo a medical and agree personal terms before joining. He is classed as a homegrown player after spending all his career at Boro despite being an Australian international. He will wear number 13.
Depending on how much Hodgson has left in his transfer kitty, a bid for Shaun Wright-Phillips could also be made. Even if there isn't enough for a transfer, Hodgson may talk about a possible loan deal until the end of the season.

Liverpool Have an Agreement to take Hatem Ben Arfa on loan for the season. Marseille want to lower their wage Bill and he too would like to join Liverpool. RH was looking at Hleb, but his age is the factor and would rather go for Ben Arfa. Rh is considering Huntelaar with Milan still insisting on Babel +4 mil. The deal is in place but RH wants to see how Babel plays until the end of the window any deals will be done last day. Kessling deal club quoted 23mil euros which is to high.I have also been told that Huang and his men have told in a secret meeting for the team to keep close to the top of the table if buyout isn't concluded buy the end of the window money will be spent in the winter. The goal if anything is to be in the top 3 or top 4, so the team can attract the players the Owners want to buy with Champions League Football. Expect the deal to go through in the next 15 days. But RH for now wants A left back, Defensive Mid And a holding striker who can play with Torres or play for Torres that is a must. Purslow was in Madrid two weeks ago talking with both Madrid teams about VDV, Aguero,Forlan, and Da Gae. They have Decided to hold on on VDV because the now have Cole and GOALIE Da Gae wants to come to anfield but realises he will not get first team ball so will wait for another 1 or 2 seasons. One big Clause when Liverpool bought Torres was that for the next 5 season they have first call on him.Benitez was supposed to get him the next season but Parry bought Keane instead. Then Agueros price went up. Same thing appened in 05 when Liverpool were supposed to buy Dani Alves and they bought 3 other payers instead and also the same with ibrahimovic .thats all til next sunday all these are true wait to see. Also heard that Broughton, Ayre, and Purslow all favor Huangs bid. Huang did not want tyo waste time but now that he knows he has the support that he needs he will officially make a bid this week that will be accepted. Hicks and Gillette know this and have tried to block this by trying to discredit Huang. But it didn't work, and the banks have told them that they want to get reepaid and if this bid does it that all bye till next week.

All this talk about Mata has'nt he already singed for barca??

if the takeover is complete before the end of the summer i think we should buy Luiz Suarez his got pace, skill, 2 footed, awsome free kick tacker and positioning and his only 23!! i'd pay 30mil+ for him million times better than augero ! (anyone agree)

please stop with all the criticism of lucas! last year IMO he was our most consistent player and its obvious that roy likes him as he was captain in pre season in absence of gerrard and carra, and just for the record to the guy callin him usless, he is pretty good in the air and wins alot of headers and can tackle, maybe hes not a typical brazillian midfielder but is typical of a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER, playing a role similar to silva and melo ( quite effective players)

now onto rumours i would love for the poulsen deal to be fake as he is not good enough, benega would be a much better buy although i feel we have enough options in the middle already even with the innevitable departure of mascherano, a LB is still needed and hopefully there is truth in the riise rumour. .2 good wingers are needed for either side, arda turan has been mentioned alot (hope it happens but unlikely due to been cup tied) but someone instead of kuyt on the right, the lad trys and work load cant be faulted but would prefer productivity out wide, maybe a cheeky bid for alexis sanchez with the mash money??. .Also a striker is not needed as i think babel would suprise many if he was played up top

If the takeover happens in time id only expect one marquee signing hopefully aguero. or dare i say ozil?? very unlikely but you never know

Exciting times ahead for LFC!!

Firstly i would like to say that ive been visiting this page for a while now, and i have seen many rumours posted on this page linking Turan with us. i think this rumour is bull, mainly because i haven't witnessed any reports either on sky sports(at all) or in the papers recently. secondly, the only players i can see arriving before the takeover are poulsen and possibly crouch, with masc leaving for 25-30m. hopefully this takeover business hurries up so hodgson has some money to spend to hopefully bring in a top star.
possible team for the new seaon, assuming hodgson doesn't get a big budget to spend in the last few weeks of the window:
reina
johnson carragher agger aurelio
kuyt gerrard poulsen jovanovic/babel
cole
torres
