Quaresma will sign in the next few days after being sent to train alone and as an extra bonus he will be coming for a reduced fee watch this space

Muttsnutts

Bloody hope not

Hope not mate, don't rate him at all.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Wont happen plus his missus just had a baby not a good time to be up rooted

Hope not?! Quaresma Suarez and Borini up top ... how can you possibly "hope not"! Whatever his attitude issues hes a special player to watch think he will fit perfectly with fluid play of Suarez and Borini

Totally agree with last post, hope not, don't b silly this guy will have u all on the edge of ur seats, do u ever hear the anfield roar when Luis leaves his man for dead, well quaresma can leave 2&3 at a time, if brendan gets him playing to his best ability there's no doubt for the money he would b a great addition, really hope this happens, people going on about Walcott have to b joking me, quaresma and Adam Johnson are the 2 wide me to solve the problem we've had this last 15 years, even if the don't both start they have that spark we're lacking.

Suarez and Borini have played on game together mate, a little bit early to be stating that you know who will fit perfectly with them.

Queresma is very talented but he is trouble - why do you think he's had so many clubs. We need team players. I hope he does not come.

PS thought Suarez was great last night

Pompey red

Listen up for a mere £6.3m for a player of his quality its a no brainer, he does have attitude problems but if he concentrates on his football then we will have a real good bargin on our hands.

BigD

Thing is Quaresma isn't that good, I've seen him throw in a few good crosses and show some outrageous skills but even a broken clock is right twice a day, just like something he tries will fail almost all the time.

Those guys questioning people who hope he doesn't sign, are you serious? The guy may as well have fail tattooed on his forehead.

Stop playing football games and watching youtube, watch real matches.

There's a reason he plays for besiktas and not a top team he's not good enough

The only thing I remember about him is his huge unabrow and him cleating Benayon in the back of the leg in a game blatently and not even whistle was blown.

just been the game looked like a goodbye from agger applauded all stands came up to the kop then gave his shirt away to the crowd may be wrong just how it looked to me

Or just a thank you because the crowd really supported him tonight.

Probably saw a manc wearing a tablecloth.!

Agger didn't give his top away to anyone in the kop it was to a kid in the paddock.

Agger has thrown his shirt into the crowd before, nothing to worry about

He's also just had YNWA tattooed on his knuckles... Its a tricky one, I still can't make my mind up. 47% of games he's been available for since he signed, but what a player when he does play. For me, his price is £30 million, or he stays.

He did give his shirt away yes but it was given to a child from belarus who was at the game with a charity based in leeds called ccp wich helps takes kids affected by chernoybl so i wouldnt read anything in to that

Could quite easily have been a 'thank you' rather than a goodbye

I was at the game on the Kop (106) - Agger didn't come up to the kop, he acknowledged us as it had been pretty much non-stop Agger chants in the second half.

Shirt was launched in the crowd near the team benches.

drumz

Didnt say the kop mate an didnt know it was a kid fron belarus i hope he stays top player

He does that at all the aways. He will have done it that night to show his appreciation to the crowd for the support

This one is for Eds 1 or 2. What is your opinion on David Villa being that "loan star" Macca talked about?
Thank you guys for all your work. I'm sure any true Liverpool fan appreciated everything you guys do. {Ed002's Note - Villa has never wanted to play outside of Spain and has suffered recently with injury - strikes me as unlikely.}

Didn't he mean Tello?

Really want Carroll to stay but I really think he's off to Newcastle for about 17mil. Be gutterd to see him go but I think he will! Also Agger was never going anywhere. I think Adam will go now we have Allen.

How is carroll gonna play football lkie we saw tonight?

Carroll can go, and for 17m, I'd drive him.
And especially if its him or Dagger.

SpudRed

Really dont expect AC to stay after tonight. Dont think hes the right man for l'pool right now. His money could be better placed elsewhere. Adam for Dempsey must be a decent shout right now and then Rodgers team would begin to take shape! Perhaps downing also to move on with a replacement expected with his and ACs transfer fee?
Any thoughts Eds?
5uarezTimes {Ed002's Note - Lots and lots.}

Why would you want Carroll to stay when there is no way in hell that he will fit in with the style of play. If he wants to stay to prove himself then fair play to him but its clear BR doesn rate him. With all due respect I think you are deluded if you think he has a future at LFC. Its a matter of time before he goes

Id like AC to stay, especially as Last January the 1st I had a £25 bet on CA being the first of AC,JH,JE & CA to be sold. I got 25-1 and the bets valid until August 31

Good carroll sould go. We started looking like our 08/09 team agian and just imagine if Borini's shot had fallen to carroll, there is no way he would have finished that

We now know why BR does not want AC, fast flowing football with movement is what BR wants, AC just does not fit in with that. Would muich prefer AC to go than Agger

Def going back to geordie town, it'll just be a game of brinksmanship to agree the fee and may go to the deadline day.

Has allen signed then,was unaware he had.Hope so, still andy carroll an lfc player he so deserves a season at least..

red blancmonge {Ed049's Note -

We may like Andy the person (great character) but as a footballer he does not fit BR style of football, fast movement and quick passing. He needs to go to raise funds, especially if it means Agger stays. YNWA!

Yep Carroll should definitely go now that we have won a game against a Belarusian team most people have never heard of.

It's all rosie now so yep, sell anyone who didn't play last night, let's see how well our new system handles against higher teams.

Was good to see us play exciting football again yesterday, yes, but all of you fickle fans that yesterday couldn't believe how AC was being treated are now all driving him to Newcastle, wait until we are 0-0 with 10 mins to go against a team like stoke shutting us out and how long it will be before you wish we had some diversity on tactics.

Dan

I agree with dan ... last ten minutes stoke... and borini and suarez have been kicked to death by shawcross and huth big andy is worth a place in the sqaud .. end of last season i couldnt fault him once he was gettin games he was scoring important goals.. and his goal in the euros he took that very well .. when he scored an injury time winner against blackburn last season i bet half of use wernt saying use would drive him home then.

This is wrecking my head. a few days ago everyone was saying give andy a chance he deserves it. then we play really well against a poor team and everyone starts slating him saying he wont fit into the style of play. its been one game against a poor team. some of our fans need to get a grip.
dan mate i couldnt agree more with you

tommo

Andy won't go back to Newcastle ,he'll stay and fight and collect his ample wage as long as he can .

Hearing reports that a deal for Allen has been reached and he will sign tomorrow after under going a medical. This then may trigger other transfer activity (Adam being used a deal maker for the signature of Dempsey.

JD

Well yeah Brendan Rodgers said that in his post match interview

It's amazing who's now an Allen transfer ITK after seeing him on TV at Anfield

Funny thing is I didn't see him in the Crowd during the game as I watched is via Sky go on my phone. And I missed the interviews after as I was busy. I'm only posting what I have been told. Fact is after watching the interviews this morning I believe what I posted to be even more likely. Don't moan enjoy it.

Official liverpool website is down, possible annoucment of allen signing as he was at anfield tonight {Ed049's Note - Rodgers on Allen: "We've agreed a fee, but there's a little more to complete just yet."}

Not sure our website needs to go down just to put articles onto it. It's clearly just technical issues.

The site wouldn;t go down just because they're releasing a news story though, surely?

Why does the website always go down? It is obviously crap. This site never goes down!
Tommy

Why would we announce him this late at night?

Why does everyone think Liverpool have to shut their website down to announce new players? Doesn't make sense to me.

Scott Sinclair will sign for Man City within the next few days.....

This will almost certainly push Adam Johnson out the door.....whether that's to Liverpool or not I have no information at this time

Andy

Adam johnson over sinclair any week
AJ wants to play football which is why he is sulking a city which is why mancini wants rid
Sinclair is your grade A celebrity money chasing footballer, he will suit city and mancini just fine

'Sinclair is your grade A celebrity money chasing footballer, he will suit city and mancini just fine'

Know him personally do you?

Heard city have bid 5.5 m rising to 8m

'I have no information at this time' LMFAO!! that killed me mate, keep 'em coming :D

09 Aug 2012 21:43:03
hi eds, as joe allen is at anfield. Could that mean he could sihn tonight.
Teeno1lpool {Ed002's Note - Not tonight, but perhaps tomorrow.}

Or has already signed

He will sign when all the results of his medical come back tomorrow. Billy Mc.

You have to admire the cheek of Aqualani. He plays half a season for Liverpool, goes on loan to Juventus and then AC Milan for 2 seasons. No doubting that Liverpool were funding part of his wages while playing there. Neither team wanting to take the risk on him. This is a player that cost Liverpool £17 million and £70,000 a week, yet he moans that Liverpool were looking too much for him to move him on. The only thing that was too much was his original fee and his wages. A total joke of a player. One of Liverpool's biggest mistakes.Even bigger than Carroll in my opinion. At least Carroll is ready to fight! Aqualani doesn't know the meaning of the word!

The Irish Rover

Aquilani = waste of everything.

Well said. Good to see the reception Carroll got tonight off the fans

Make that £125k a week!

Yeah, thanks Rafa for another crap player you bought. Glad you're no longer near Liverpool also. Good riddance and go back to Spain instead of sniffing around us.

Well said complete and utter waste of player

CDM

I do hope he bought a house in Liverpool, and he can't sell it due to the high price.

His comments only go further to show mentality.
Juventus and Milan wouldn't trigger his buy-out clause because of his poor attitude.
He's a professional footballing parasite with no aspiration to better himself.
He couldn't & wouldn't fight for his place on the Liverpool team after agreeing to the move, preferring instead to go on loan. And even then he didn't have the mental strength to knuckle down to earn a long term contract.

Good riddance!

Digger

Where have all the aquilani fans gone. There were plenty on this site looking for him to stay, saying he was class and never was given a chance?!
He's shown his colours now.
A huge mistake by us.
Never a pool player

5uarezTimes

At least his bird was worth a perv

Well said! £17M fee and £125k a week wages!

Aquilani = Rafa's curse

Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya... good riddance!

-Red Socks

I actually feel that Aquilani and Carroll have been unfairly treated to some extent when you see the likes of Spearing getting regular run outs.

NB Red

I've said it for a long time but now I'm convinced...taking everything into consideration...LFC's worst ever signing.

Completely agree with this post but where are all the fools who were calling for 'Aquaman' to be given a chance? Fair play to BR for cutting our losses. Hope he does the same with Carroll and Adam to name but a few

Aquilani never got a chance to play. Want his fault in fairness. Cant deny he is a good ball player. Could have done with his creativity last season at a number of games. Lucas got same treatment and everyone giving out about Benitez saying what was he talking about but proved to be genius signing. Bottom line is we'll never know if Aquilani would have been good.

Aqualini fans? There was nothing wrong with wanting him to play for us while he was a liverpool player. He can play, and we were badly in need of creativity. Ignore his excuses, he agreed join us and became the biggest flop in our history.

Top post. waste of space. Sums up Rafa's spell - signed a lot of absolutely class players, and then players like aqua man. he was never a replacement for king xabi, i do not think he did his homework at all. I reckon Eric Hall was the bulls**t agent in this one...

Well said that man. complete gutless softy who never willing to give it a propper shot. no respect to our club or fans. good ridense. hope carroll stays, big mistake if we sell, forget the price its in the past along with that man who bought him, we paid 10-15 million to much maybe but time will tell

The problem with Aquilani is he didn't want to track back, but wasn't quick enough to get up the pitch to support the attack. Could spray the ball around beautifully but contributed very little. The quintessential luxury player!

Aqua could have been a good player, but obviously his heart is not in it anymore. Hope he goes on to do well and we spend the money wisely. Also good to see that were selling the bigger players instead of loaning them that really annoys me. {Ed019's Note - Aquliani would not have closed down as much as Jonjo today, glad we sold him}

Please don't compare Carroll with Aquilani...Carroll actually wanted to stay and play for us...Aquilani is the new standard by which all our rubbish transfers will be measured...

He never wanted to play for the club anyway cheeky get typical itie they dont like to leave there own country n when they do they never seem to be the same player

I'm not sure, I do think we could have done with Aquilani at points. He's always come across as a very honest guy and he's always been a talented player.

I guess you have to look at it from his point of view; he's an Italian player (and they don't usually leave Serie A in general) and he was probably offered the World when signing - his transfer fee and wages would have meant that he was promised first-team football. Yet, since then, he's been sent out on loan and basically not wanted by LFC.

I know that he never really settled, but he's been shoved from pillar to post and probably just wants to get out of his contract and get his career back on track - no player wants to be a Journeyman. Certainly not a player of his standing, age and general value.

Still, we - as a club - have every right to try and maximise whatever we can get out of the player. This was a huge initial investment and no club should ever take that lightly.

Hey eds great site wondrin what are our chances with sahin given that allen has signed. Also are vargas dempsey and ramirez deals off? Prefer these tp johnson walcott and allen. {Ed002's Note - I am not convinced Sahin will move to Liverpool.}

But what about Dempsey - we NEED that signing !

Puzzled

When did Allen sign? I must have missed that!

The Plank

09 Aug 2012 18:55:10
Liverpool's star loan signing is kaka with a view to a 19m fee next summer

So we'd pay £19 million for a guy who would be turned 32 by the start of the next season? SURE we would! Bad bad rumour!

The Plank

You have missed out the decimal point ......

He's 32 isn't he? No one would pay that much for a 33 year old next year!

Utter bs mate, will be 31 and not even a 10th of the player he was. 19m? Ha more like 19p and he will be supplementing that himself!

He's off to Milan if he goes.

Wages

its Adam Johnson.. The deal is almost done, but lfc want more for agger, The club want to keep them apart as deals go

More money for agger

By next summer he will be 31, there is NO chance any team would pay 19 million.....well.....maybe Chelsea.LOL

MR EM

Aggers moving no where

Nurse! He's out of bed again.

Fsg aint goin 2 spend 19 mill on a 33 year old get real

No it's not. Is this what you do for entertainment when Mummy forgets to read you a bedtime story. You make your own up.

This is not a rumour. It's a lie. It should be posted at www.liverpool-lies.co.uk

09 Aug 2012 23:18:55
When Macca said major star on loan i doubt he meant sahin, so who else would possibly be available for loan and considered to be a star? Johndog

I don't think Kaka can survive Premier League football.

09 Aug 2012 18:43:20
Eds The Special One has said Kaka can leave Real if his valuation is met. Could you see him at Anfield? {Ed002's Note - I think it unlikely.}

Hope not, he's kak

Or we could put a bid in on rvp and save a few quid overall....not happening!

09 Aug 2012 18:41:21
Hello Eds
Do you reckon kevin gameiro could be an option for ST if Carroll is sold ? {Ed002's Note - Lille and Malaga showed interest but he looks very likely to join Valencia. Liverpool have approached his agent - according to his agent.}

09 Aug 2012 17:27:04
Hey ED great site keep up the good work,

This my 1st post on this site

Hi guys, just seen lukaku agent has said he is going on loan to an unnamed pl club but he can't say who? Could this be us?
Gezzaared

No, we have a name.

Well it won't be spurs.

Hes a beast

I am originally from Belgium and know how good Lukaku is. There is no chance that Chelsea will let him go to a potential op 4 rival - unfortunately {Ed002's Note - CHelsea loaned a player to Arsenal last year - it would not bother them in the slightest. Lukaku remains a very raw talent and I would doubt would get in to the Liverpool side.}

Word is it's the blue noses, big coup if they can get him for a year

Why would Lukaku's agent, whom you haven't named, give you inside information into transfers that can be used for betting etc...

It could be us or the other eighteen clubs that are possible

09 Aug 2012 16:55:38
Rumours going about that we have enquired about Gamiero, anything to it eds? {Ed049's Note - not that i'm aware of}

Sorry, just seen below. Apologies eds.

09 Aug 2012 16:35:45
We have enquired about Kevin gameiro looks a decent striker IMO

Al

Apparently his agent has said we informally enquired decent target

09 Aug 2012 16:16:18
Hi Eds, any chance of Kevin Gameiro of PSG? Won't really get a look in next season thanks to their new attacking acquisitions. What do you think? {Ed049's Note - I haven't heard anything but murmurs on twitter, so as of now I have no clue.}

09 Aug 2012 15:16:23
Hi eds Do you think we have a chance to Sign Higuain from Real Madrid on Loan or David Villa also since we now know Allen is almost in the bag what are the chances of Theo walcott and Adam Johnson Signing as well. {Ed052's Note - No to both Higuain and Villa. Allen is almost in the bag. I dont think that there is interest in Johnson, but I may be wrong, and Macca says there's interest in Walcott]

Walcott isn't the most consistent when it comes to end product. Maybe down the middle he'd prove to be a better bet, though his injury record is a major concern. It's doubtful Arsenal would let him go for a price that's worth taking the risk for.

There is no "maybe" that he will prove a better bet down the middle. He will!!. How on earth Wenger suddenly decided to play him out wide when he signed for them is beyond me. Walcott is a second striker in truth and was so at Southampton....

09 Aug 2012 14:14:42
Hye Eds,
Hoping you could post this.

1)Liverpool already made 15M bid for Joe Allen. Is the personal term agreed?

2)Spurs goalkeeper Gomez looking for exit right? Why not we get him on loan instead.At least we get quality keepers besides Reina. Any interest from Liverpool?

3)Heard that we are looking for Diego Godin for center back position. Is it possible that Martin Skrtel will leave instead of our beloved DAgger? How much his value, Godin?

Thanks eds for answering.
Jimmy. {Ed052's Note - 1) I think personal terms are agreed, and if not, will be easily. 2) No, and why would there be - he's awful haha. 3)Skrtel may leave, Godin, £8-£10 million. but I believe that it will be Amoriebieta who signs if a CB leaves}

Lol calamity Gomez!

Why would you want skrtel to stay over agger?? In case you didn't realize, Agger has had so many injuries in his Liverpool that it's equivalent to 2 seasons.

Gomes would be a great player on loan! Obv hes never good enough to be our first choice but hes better than Doni and Jones and at least had a pl experience, allbeit a bad bad one!

Godin is not being looked at by LFC as fars as the Uraguayn media are aware. Armobieta (sp) appears to be the one we are looking at and as a left footer he would be a replacement for Agger not The turtle.

Neil W

Gomes, hahhahahhahahhahahhhahahha

I stopped reading after I saw gomes on loan, he was replaced by a 40 year old, says enough

Goding is just 1-2 years younger than Agger, he will only benefit us for a short time. I rate him alright, but we need someone who is in the age bracket of 21-24 to be our replacement for Agger. I would put the following names out of which some are unrealistic but are the type of defenders capable or replacing Agger in my prefference

Matts Hummels
Mamadou Sakho
Simon Kjaer
Dede
Yanga-Mbiwa
Kyriakos Papadoupolous
P.S. Kjaer and Kyriakos are within our ranges and from those two would preffer Kyriakos coz he is younger and fast, Kjaer might be beaten for Pace easily but his tackling is greater than Kyriakos....
{Ed001's Note - Kjaer is awful, his tackling is weak and he is constantly caught out of position!}

Gomes...????
U r a Spurs supporter rite...??

I would rather keep agger than selling him and i dont want adam johnson man city fans dont even rate him,kyle

This is not the place to try and find a new contract, Gomes

I hope that wasn't a Liverpool fan asking why don't we sign Gomez of tottenham. Good sir, do you watch the premier league. Have you seen how much Gomez cost them at times. Clumsy keeper, good bit too much like calamity James IMO. Good day to you. YNWA

eds idont believe 1 word of this but seen a few things sayin suarez could still leave in this window ? i feel stupid even askin the question but cud u shed any light please . thanx ....... thechef YNWA JFT96 {Ed052's Note - I would doubt it highly.}

He had just signed an extension to his contract worth 120000 per week

After the news yesterday that IS stupid.

This summer? Maybe not. What about winter transfer window?

Falcoa signed a new contract with porto left soon after to ath madrid.Tommy Irish Red

Its not stupid if u think of the new contract addin more money 2 his sale , i personaly dont think he will go ........ thechef ynwa JFT96

09 Aug 2012 13:37:37
Liverpool announced they want 23 mill plus adam johnson for agger so it looks unlikely he will leave

Sounds a fair deal to me :-)

Considering what they paid for lescott that is about right in my opinion but still hoping he stays as we are changing the style we play would rather not alter the back four as well might be to much change in one go

And they announced this where exactly?

Adam johnson on loan, not for keeps

Cheers, Zincho

I'd rather just have the £23 million.

"Announed?" No they didnt, nor did they leak. Its a twitter rumour published by the Daily Mirror in another fit of lazy journalism.

Ciario

Still prefer keep him!

It's about time we started quoting silly figures for our players if you ask me, instead of the other way round

ferd

I here a lot of people on here saying considering what man city paid for lescott etc, agger is worth more(which he is by the way) but if clubs took that stance with us and say downing was 20mil so aj must be worth 30mil or they paid 35mil for carroll and so on we would get hammered in the transfer market, unfortunately we are fine ones to harp on about what other clubs have paid for players and now we are paying the price by selling players like agger just to finance other deals

I'd didn't personally think anyone would pay 50M for a badly out of form Spanish striker either, but here we are....

09 Aug 2012 13:30:59
Anything on kevin mirallas or ricardo quaresma? we need a winger and both would be reasonably cheap {Ed052's Note - No, and I think Quaresma is more a rumour than anything substantial}

09 Aug 2012 13:30:50
Hey Ed,
With only a week and a bit left until the premier league begins do you think we would get all our signings in before then? If not, including Allen, how many players do you realistically think we would get before the window closes in 3 week's time? Thanks. {Ed052's Note - Not all no, but Allen, maybe a couple of other too.}

Surely the time is right to offload Downing and invest in a decent winger? Also, give Cole & Henderson a chance, and consider bringing in Johnson, Walcott and any other young available talent. The money from Adam, Downing, Carroll and Agger should be enough to invest in exciting new players.

09 Aug 2012 13:17:52
Eds, how likely are Downing, Cole and Pacheco to depart as it stands? {Ed052's Note - Pacheco maybe - the other two I doubt}

09 Aug 2012 12:55:38
Hey Eds and all
Just wondering if there is still interest in Honda?
I know there has been previously but with the new man in charge and all I thought I would just ask :). {Ed052's Note - No, I doubt it}

Interest in Honda is over we could not get him hon the hire purchase tough

Could we not try and loan him

Shame that we didnt get him when we had a chance

Honda makes good cars and motorcycles which probably mean he a fast player which we need at the moment

- Ibnan

According to a reliable source at Cardiff Craig Bellamy will be officially announced as a Cardiff player tomorrow as part of the stadium reopening. I know its not news to many of you that he is leaving Liverpool but thought I would share this anyway.
Stephen from South Wales

I think it's a bit of a shame to lose Bellamy. Despite his age he has proven to be an outstanding man to have in the squad. How many times did he come on last season and terrorize defences and score goals. Bellamy - Legend.

Good luck bellers famiy comes first Y N W A.

From a past Sunderland/Newcastle player. Adam Johnston will not go to Liverpool and will join Sunderland on loan. Sunderland can offer more game time and he would prefer a move nearer to his family in the north east.

Northeast red {Ed052's Note - Sounds plausible - but a former Newcastle and Sunderland player - I didn't know there were any?!!!}

That would be lee Clark.

Was it Michael Chopra? {Ed052's Note - So there are some...}

Lee Clarke ?

Paul Bracewell and Lee Clark did Ed.

Kev. {Ed052's Note - Ok, thanks}

Ed052, that's a joke right?

Michael Chopra {Ed052's Note - Haha - no - I just couldnt think of any, now i must know them all haha. But thanks for letting me know.}

Lee Clarke?

I think this is clearer than a clear piece of ice

- Ibnan

So you were not listening when city said that they would not be loaning him out.

Shay Given is another...

Shay Given, Titus Bramble to name but 2

Barry vennison

Santi cazorla too guys

Yeh maybe less chance of getting into the England team though which is apparently one of the reasons he wants to leave city

Adam Johnson came from Middlesboroughs' youth academy. He has neither played for Newcastle or Sunderland.

One flaw. In January or Summer last year, Johnson rejected move to Sunderland, as he didnt find them a big club to play at. Maybe things have changed though.

...and by the end of the window, Micheal Owen ;-)

Hearing we have genuine interest and have started negotions with Porto over the signing of Alvaro Pereira

Andy

You beat me to it! my source - is a current player on his way out who lives a stone throw from me! i will not state name, but im sure eds can verify my location themselves.

also allen is pretty much nailed on, sahin WILL NOT be coming, Carroll will only leave if the price is right. Adam will stay and will NOT be part of any make shift deal. Agger DOES NOT want to leave and has stressed he will only move abroad. As for the loan signing, the source just laughed and didnt seem too impressed. For the soucre, welcome home lad!

easyd

I will not name my source as crptically as you (or not as the case may be), but for to say he has connections within the club. Not saying his information will come to anything or not but i'm assured we have "interest" at the very least.

Andy

To easyd...........good to see Craig Bellamy is such an integral part of Liverpool's transfer negotiations!!

Why would we sign a goalkeepings? We don't need one. Preerira Is'nt very good too he flaps at crossings

- Ibnan

Jimmy Case then Andy? Haha

Emlyn

Highly doubt.

Too pricey and in a position we don't actually need to strengthen. Why do people make these things up :-/

Dont shoot the messenger, atleast the source is genuine!

easyd

Haha 'ibnan' Pereira is a left back/winger not a goalkeeper!

People how reliable is andy? JB {Ed052's Note - Search Function?}

11m Loic Remy is a Liverpool target!

From what source? We have all heard this rumour in the past. Good player but he reminds me of a cisse type player in terms of he just runs with his head down.

eds is it likely that if barca bid for agger he will move there or is it just city that are looking at him thanks {Ed002's Note - Barcelona are interested as well.}

Go to the Liverpool Website and have a look under first team profiles. Look at who isn't pictured in the new Warrior training Kit....Bellamy, Adam and Agger, coincidence? {Ed052's Note - yes, not everyone can model the new kit can they.}

In case barca really want him Mascherano will praise him as long as it needs to get the price dropped below the half of his value. watch out for barca style transfer behaviour!

I've heard from my sauce that there is more intrest in Agger and Skertul from Europe. Willing to pay monies for these 2 defendings. Anfield will be full of monied for this year and spendings will be big

- Ibnan

Ed's, would a cash + Tello deal be a possibility if Agger were to head to Barcelona?

BrisbaneLFC {Ed002's Note - Perhaps.}

Thanks for your reply Ed002, keep up the good work!

BrisbaneLFC

10M+tello+ afellay 1 year loan? {Ed052's Note - That would be a good deal}

Morning Eds, just seen that Liverpool have triggered Joe Allens release cause. Could you shed any light on this if it is true.
Cheers.
Great site by the way.
Keep up the good work. {Ed052's Note - We have been saying the deal has been close for a while - so if it is true - it shouldn't come as a shock.}

Even 'Curiosity' on the surface of Mars knew about this one mate.

I can't believe we're going to pay 15 mill for Allen. Haven't we learnt our lesson paying over the odds for average players. Downing Carroll Henderson spring to mind

09 Aug 2012 10:36:35
If we get Allen like Macca said, do you think, Eds, that we'll still go after Sahin? How close is the Allen deal, please? Do you think Fulham will be interested in Charlie Adam as a replacement for Danny Murphy, as part of the negotiation for Clint Dempsey? I live in the US, and I know how sensational such a move will be.
NosKee {Ed052's Note - Ok, lots of questions, haha. Sahin may be an option, on loan, as Macca says, and when Allen signs, Sahin could still be possible, as a few CM could be on their way out this summer. As we have been saying, the Allen deal has been close for a while, and now it seems a deal is close to being completed. I personally think the Dempsey deal could fall short as Fulham want too much. Adam may be offered to them, and Fulham could be interested, as they have got rid of a couple of CM already, and were interested in him before he came to Anfield.}

Ed, you didn't answer my question yesterday regarding Ramirez. You have always postulated that he may become a real possibility only if an important player (likely Suarez) were to leave. Well, seeing that Suarez now is practically staying, would it be safe to say that Ramirez is now no longer a possibility?

Also, of Adrian Lopez. What is the general situation? Is he available? If yes, how much would he cost? Would LFC be acceptable to him? Anyone in for him?

I would love him at Anfield.

Govan Sami {Ed052's Note - Sorry that your post didn't go through mate - some can slip through, sorry. Anyway, Ramirez might become an option if you say Suarez leaves. But if Suarez or other attacking players dont leave , I doubt he will sign. We have interest in other attacking players, so as of now - he seems unlikely. And Adrian Lopez wont be coming. Spurs seem interested and Arsenal have been. He would be very expensive too.}

09 Aug 2012 19:29:09
I do not understand how Ramirez and Suarez can be linked...? They play completely different positions. Suarez is a striker and Ramirez plays as an offensive midfielder...? IMO Suarez staying should increase the chance of Ramirez joining (compatriots) IF we are looking for an offensive midfielder and IF we are at all interested in Ramirez. The question to the Eds/Macca: Does LFC have a geniune/strong interest in Ramirez as stated by many internet sources? {Ed002's Note - Try the search function - this must be the most answered question this summer.}

Dear Eds,

Can u please clarify a situation for me?

If Man City offer the quoted price for Agger, does it mean, we are obliged to sell or they are only allowed to talk with Agger?

If I understand then they can only start negotiations with him, and he is within his rights to refuse their contract.

Kindly let me know if I am wrong and what is the correct thing.

Regards
mgz {Ed029's Note - If the club accepts an offer then it is always down to the player to agree terms and theoretically a player can reject a move. It seems that Agger clearly wants to stay, but I suppose he may consider a move if he feels it is in the best interest for both Liverpool and himself. Transfer deals are far from straight forward as there are always a lot of things to consider such as people's personal circumstances and whether they want to move their family etc to a new area, not to mention money, ambition an playing time}

Be great if he did a Carrol, went for a year and then they wanted rid of him, and we got him back on the cheap..
Sorry Ed, I must have nodded off, dreaming there. {Ed052's Note - haha}

He could stay where he is and drive to city's ground. Its not far from Liverpool

Liverpool to manchester is a pain of a drive, especially doing it every day.

I can now confirm that Man City have accepted a £15 million offer for winger, Adam Johnson and his signing is to be expected by next Friday.

Thanks,
RetroGuy33,

Sorry mate but this is surely a joke? All the rumours you have mentioned have been posted on here over several months, many, many times......try the search function!

MR EM

I would like you guys to remember...?

Why?

This is all just re-hashed old news?

We all know every single aspect of this, some of it is months old.

Well to the people that 'released this news' that we were signing Adam Johnson (which we haven't) for the last two years... I will never forget you.

Why would we get Sahin and Allen? Also if Carroll were to leave as you suggest then why would we not buy a replacement?... Seems a bit odd to have so many midfielders.

And I would like to remind you that your guess was very lucky, and come next friday everybody will see you are just making it up.

Why would it take 8 days to cinclude a deal if price has been agree

Retro bull slacka

Don't blame the retro, he has a typo...
"1" was an extra letter

Hopefully this is total bu****it
Why do people keep going on about Him not good enough...........

Top player just what we need hope its true

Allen's buy-out clause triggered with 15m bid from Liverpool. Do you think he'd be interested in joining? {Ed029's Note - He is definitely interested in joining}

Why even talk about interest. He demands to move to us!! lol...=) {Ed052's Note - he has yes}

09 Aug 2012 08:32:31
So am I right thinking this is the current believed situation then.
Agger and Carrol are still possibly leaving.
Allen to join - looks very likely
Amorebieta - Looks likely if Agger leaves
Tello - strong rumours now
Walcot - been around for a while this, always thought it was all based on this old him beena liverpool fan thing, but with his place under pressurs at Arsenal and Macca saying it's on who knows.
Sahin - have to be honest, think it's him or Allen, unless some others leave.

is that about it Ed? or are you aware of strong interest in anyone else?
RNred {Ed002's Note - Looks about right.}

Reporting Godin is first choice replacement if Agger goes.

Mighty reds

Does anyone else think it will another huge mistake if, after we sell Agger, we then move for his replacement?

This should be done before his deal goes through, otherwise we will be held to ransom again.

Scuzz

Godin is heavily linked in the press, however the Uragyuan links maybe clouding the issue. I have found that the more quietly reported surprise names on here are often good tips. And Amorebieta has been quietly mentioned since the Agger story broke. But who knows.

Ed

With Llorente's contract negotiations souring and him looking to leave with a year left on his deal, do you think we will make another enquiry ?

I know we would need to offload Carroll, but do you think we would interest him?
City and Chelsea apparently hold an interest (according to papers).

Jonesred {Ed002's Note - Juventus has also registered interest. I don't know whether Rodgers would have an interest.}

Very similar to Carroll - cannot see there being any interest

We have carrol who is younger.

Wants champions league football something we can't offer at the minute

Why would Rodgers not want. Did you see the type of play he played in last year.

to me, Llorente is a Andy Carroll upgrade, however it also shows that if the coaching is up to it, there is no reason Carroll can't still have a future at LFC

Didn't Liverpool have a slight interest in Eduardo Vargas from Universidad de Chile recently. Seems a goal machine from his midfield position, and young.

RyanWhittington&hisCat {Ed002's Note - He moved in January.}

I just realized that after I posted....sorry about that Ed's. Very good little player though. My good friend used to play for Union Espanola in Chile and I started watching more and more of the league and I always thought he was a class player and expect him to become a very good player for Napoli.

Adam Johnson has spoken to LFC twice very recently regarding a transfer. Wages were not a problem, however he wanted an assurance of 90% playing time and we could not agree to make any guarantees.

I don't believe anything the media is saying about Johnson, and I do not believe LFC are interested in him at all, if the players we have play to their obvious skill level and potential then Adam Johnson will not improve our squad, so why bother.
There are certainly better wingers on the continent that may be available at a much better price and lower wages Johnson may want.

John B

To be fair johnson about the level of ability you could sign major continental talent want to challenge for honours and their 4-5 teams ahead of lfc in that department

The only I agree with John B on is the wages.

Johnson is quality and is proven in this league. His attitude has been lacking in the past but the boy's got talent, there's no doubt about that. Would be better than Downing and cost less. No brainer for me. Gaston is a risk and I doubt it will happen anyway.

Johnson's better than Tello. Don't rate Tello much tbh, any time I've seen him play he does the exact same thing. Cuts in, cuts back out and puts in a rubbish cross. Aaron Lennon with more power and on the left.

Think you have got a little mixed up there to me. Should it be can assure him 0ver 90% game time but cant meet his wage demands. He is on a high wage at City and cant see him dropping much.

So no matter how badly Johnson might play he wants a contract guaranteeing he plays over 90% of all our games? Never heard such a load of tosh.No player would ever be given a contract containing this clause.

The Plank

He didn't request a clause in his contract as such, he just let the club know he wants around 90% playing time and the club told him we couldn't promise that, which is fair enough in my opinion. I'm not sure if he would be taking a wage cut to join us, all I know is that wages weren't a problem.

Heard rumour that Carragher will be offered a coaching job at the end of this season, Also heard that juventus are looking at Reina and we are looking at Hugo Lloris as his replacement if Reina wants to leave. Also Pato will be loan signing.. not sure on any of this just something i heard from a friend {Ed019's Note - I doubt Pato would join anyone seeing that Milan have sold Ibrahimovic}

And who is your friend? someone from caughtoffside.com?

Pato being loaned isnt actually that crazy, he love the epl also ac milan's financial situation has meant they have had to sell thiago silva and ibrahimovic, however i think it would be a perminant deal with Carroll + cash

Nah he works at bbc in birmingham

Joe Allens medical is scheduled for Thursday, he will be at Anfield for the Europa game. not to play, obviously.

I posted this last night. It is still scheduled for tomorrow. He WILL be at Anfield for the match. Forgot to leave my name.

I hope this is true. I guess time will tell.

I posted this last week! Allen was always due to be at Anfield tonight, he was invited two weeks ago. Steve Clarke is coming too and will be in the Director's box despite being in charge of our first Prem opponents.

I am a doctor and I think he will pass his medicals
