Hey ho eds got another question, if ye don't mind me picking your brains! Lol
Seen a few things today regarding pjainc of Roma. There is talk of Liverpool holding an interest in him (which i believe cause I think most teams would take him) so I'm wondering if there is any real interest and what's the possibility of singing him?

I don't believe it or see it happening but was just wondering what u thought of the situation?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't hold your breath and when asked about interest the player said he has none.}

According to the song by the smiths, pjanic won't be on the streets of liverpool, might end up on the streets of London, Birmingham, Leeds, Carlisle, Dublin, Dundee or Humberside though.

I never get rumours normally but a guy I know through work (he's a supplier who is based up on Merseyside) has told me that a friend of his has good connections in the club (I know, sounds like a mickey take but it's genuienly not).

Anyway, he reckons that we are definitely going to try and bring Origi in early, and that the only other business will be a short term goalkeeper solution, so that in the summer we can look for a more long term solution for that department.

Adding that to what Ed002 has said, looks like Origi and Ochoa could well be our only business this January. It'd probably cost less than £6m to get both here.

Would people be happy with that? I'm not overly impressed, but i didn't even expect anything so I'd still take it i suppose.

I personally can't see the point in bringing in Ochoa short term, I don't think he's any better than Migs so why waste the money.
Origi I haven't seen play at all this season, but apparently he's having a rough time at the minute, so it could benefit everyone to bring him in early, as it gives him extra time to adjust to us, if the fans give him any time.
Having said that about Ochoa though, I don't really see any good goalkeeping options available at the end of the season, the only player of a high enough standard and available would be Cech, and I can't see him moving to us. Have a feeling a lot of people will be disappointed over the next 2 transfer windows.

Given our documented financial state, I'd be happy with as little spending as possible. GK aside, I don't think we really need anything on paper anyway.

Not impressed at all, It's far too soon to bring Origi back, Rodgers is basically staking the kids future on the rest of our season. That's simply not fair on Origi.

As for Ochoa, he's a YouTube keeper, we really are rubbish at transfers aren't we.

Ridiculous decision to bring origi this earlier . Putting pressure on such a young guy this earlier is an inept decision from rodgers and co. What does he thinks that origi will be his savior ! When you can't utilize players like lambert, borini, balotelli you fool are expecting to bring on a 19 years old and put him on wire ! What a deluded brenda and co is !

No not impressed at all. I don't think Ochoa is what we LFC need, and as some have already mentioned, is no better than Mignolet. Origi, I don't see what BR will want to do with him. It'll will take him time to adjust to the EP, i know he's having a bad time in Lille, but bringing him here right now just doesn't seem the right thing to do.

We would've had Origi in the summer anyway. Also, we were happy to start Sterling at 18? Let's be honest, we need Origi and Sturridge and the quicker they start together the better. There is no point buying another striker when we have one sitting in Lille waiting!

Tbh depends, if we can move a few playes on (borini, enrique, johnson, jones) would be happy for origi as Tbf need a striker with pace and things aren't great for him at Lille.

Ochoa tbh would rather have just given ward a shot then go for a keeper in the summer

Season resting on his shoulders ha we have Sturridge back soon so hardly going to be on origis shoulders now is it

Rather we gave borini and ward a chance than spend more money. (Do we need 4 goal keepers) plus Sturridge is back soon so origi will only get benched soon anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with others would rather see Ward given a chance. However dependent on outgoings may make sense to take in Origi. Will serve as a pacey replacement to avoid over playing fragile Sturridge or a tired Sterling. I don't see the pressure on him at all will just help him acclimatise. . If he is handled correctly of course which is very much in the lap of the gods. That would be the same now or in the summer though unless Rodger's goes. Let's just hope BR handles him well whatever he does

Morning Ed

Are we still working on getting Origi back in January or has his injury stopped us?

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing happening right now as far as I know. Lille has said there has not been an acceptable offer.}
