I won't claim to be some form of Messiah or anything, but I have friends that coach across various teams in Scotland, and a friend of mine at Celtic says that we've watched James Forrest quite a bit this season. Spurs have a confirmed interest in the lad too. I wouldn't expect a move before the summer though if we follow it up. My friend also says we've monitored Gary Hooper. Young, English, good finisher. We've also had a long standing interest in Adam Matthews, but again I don't see that move before the summer, if at all.

The Jelavic rumours are completely unfounded. There is ZERO chance we will move for him. His dad/agent have been using the press to drive up the interest, which also suits Rangers as they're cash strapped. I expect Rangers to sign Johnny Russell from Dundee United allowing Jelavic to join West Ham for around 8.5m.

Finally, I heard a rumbling that Tom Huddlestone is unsettled at Spurs. He's injured right now, but with Scott Parker playing so well and the emergence of Sandro and the young Jake Livermore, he could be looking to move on. Don't know of any interest, but I'd say he'd be worth a look.

We were monitoring Forrest last season so it's an open secret.I wouldn't touch Huddleston with a bargepole.Over muscled and frequently overweight as well as injury prone.

We have a few youngsters who should be ahead of Huddlestone.If he is not good enough for them why would he fit in with us.

Huddlestone ? Are u havin a laugh ! Slow overweight and not good enough for us, if he cant get a game at Spurs why would we want him
